    It was great.

    A successful interior refresh and rebranding. The Room is basically excellent (except for the view): great bed, great size, great table layout—really nice. The bath is average, but it feels clean. Sounds from elevators and the like—which used to be a bit noisy before the rebrand—don’t carry anymore (though it’s an older Hotel, so soundproofing isn’t perfect). A well-done renovation and rebrand. As for dining: At lounge tea time, just enjoy the sweets. The small mousse cakes are perfectly sized—you can easily try them all. Cocktail service offers around 10 kinds of local sake, three sparkling wines, Hachikuma whisky... plus proper hors d’oeuvres. Enjoy. It would have been even better if they also had the tea-time cakes. Breakfast is impossible to finish. It’s tasty, delicious, and fun—but you won’t get through it all. Onigiri, omelets, kiritanpo. Iburi-gakko and excellent curry. Also, you can use ice cream as a sauce for various foods—have fun with that too. Overall: outstanding. Enjoy the bliss of having this Hotel near Akita Station at this price point.

    I’ve come to love Akita.

    Since I always end up going to Hokkaido, this was my first stay in Akita. I chose this Hotel because it’s close to the station for riding the Gono Line. Unfortunately, heavy rain caused the Gono Line to be suspended that day, but I’m truly glad I stayed here. All the staff were pleasant and attentive, with just the right sense of distance. The lounge had a very relaxing atmosphere, and both tea time and cocktail time were extremely satisfying. There were about 10 kinds of Akita local sake, and they mentioned that their recommendations keep increasing over time. They also offered shochu, draft beer, bottled beer, sparkling wine, wine, and more. Just as other Reviews said before my trip, everything was delicious—marinated fresh fish, chilled pork shabu-shabu, iburigakko with cheese, warm chicken dishes and fish dishes. A lady next to me said she has stayed here many times. It’s close to the station and you can get there without getting wet in the rain. I arrived at 1:00 p.m. planning only to leave my luggage, but they told me my Room was ready so I could check in early. After strolling around Kubota Castle Ruins and the park right in front of the Hotel, I went back to the station and bought a cute Akita dog T-shirt and tote bag for my grandchild. Breakfast also featured a lineup full of Akita specialties—kiritanpo and onigiri where you can choose both rice type and fillings—so it had been a while since I felt completely full from breakfast. There were still items I didn’t get to try yet, so I’ll be back again—and next time I’ll ride the Gono Line.

    Accommodation with a Highly Skilled Massage Therapist

    Our family of four stayed for one night. We enjoyed the Suite Room and lounge access to a reasonable extent. The afternoon tea in the lounge was decent, but the evening snacks had limited variety and were underwhelming. The breakfast buffet was similar. We were surprised at first that there was no parking, and we think it would be better to offer something like parking vouchers or another solution. One highlight was the massage—we had a seasoned male therapist, and it worked dramatically well for me.

    The restaurant on the 12th floor had a great variety of menu options.

    A typhoon and a sudden illness happened at the same time, and you were incredibly helpful with my Reservation. Thank you for your kindness and support. I have stayed here many times for a Multiple Night Stay. The restaurant on the 12th floor had a great variety of menu items, and I looked forward to breakfast every morning. The amenities were inconvenient because there was no toner, but I was glad there was a toothbrush set. I stayed with my 1-year-old child, but since they move around sideways, I couldn’t sleep well in a twin Room. I wish the beds could have been pushed together, but there was a table between them, which was disappointing! Next time, I plan to make a Reservation for a double. Thank you very much.

    Peace of mind and comfort

    I made a last-minute Reservation around 3:00 PM on the day of arrival for a quick trip. I understand that many places are doing this now for environmental reasons, but the amenities felt a bit disappointing. The Room was clean, and the facilities were also clean and comfortable. I was very satisfied with breakfast—the variety and quality were excellent! If I visit Akita again, I’d like to stay here.

    Enjoy a refined moment in the Club Lounge.

    Stayed in a Room with access to the Club Lounge. The price wasn’t that high, so I didn’t have high expectations for the lounge, but the staff served cutlery and it was a calm, relaxing space. Everything was delicious. I love ANA breakfasts, and I was very satisfied from the morning at this Hotel as well—the breakfast was delicious.

    Convenient Hotel

    A city Hotel in the same building as the Seibu Department Store, just a short walk from Akita Station and the Akita Public Parking Lot. The location is extremely convenient. I stayed on the top-floor lounge Plan, so I had no particular complaints, but I did have to wait in line for breakfast, and there were many Western-style options—I would have liked a bit more local Japanese cuisine.

    Breakfast was amazing!

    Akita’s Inaniwa udon, rice balls with iburigakko, potato salad with iburigakko, and more—everything was full of local flavor and absolutely delicious. I’d definitely like to stay again.

    I stayed here becaus...

    I stayed here because a lounge had opened. Although it’s small, I thought it was a very nice lounge. During cocktail hour, there was a great selection of sake, which I really enjoyed. There weren’t many light snacks, but considering the purpose of the lounge, I felt it was reasonable. It was a Saturday, but it wasn’t so crowded that all the seats were taken. If it becomes more popular in the future, I think some crowd management may be needed. I’d like to visit again.

    I was satisfied.

    This was my first visit to Akita, and I stayed here. I enjoyed the lounge offerings, and even had seconds of some of the sweets. I also stopped by after dinner for drinks, tried four kinds of sake that I don’t usually drink, and finished with a whisky. The Room was spacious, and I was able to relax in the bath at my leisure. Of course, I also enjoyed breakfast and was very satisfied. If I visit Akita again, I would like to stay here again.

    Amazing breakfast! Great location!

    I stayed here to attend a live show near Akita Station. Highlights of ANA Crowne Plaza Akita: - The breakfast buffet was excellent. (They make custom onigiri with your choice of fillings using Akita Komachi rice.) - There is a club lounge; during café time you can enjoy unlimited cake, and although I couldn’t use it, I heard alcoholic drinks are free in the evening. - Great location just a few minutes from the station. The Room had a walk-in closet, which was very convenient for storing my suitcase and getting changed. The only downside was that the bathroom and toilet were combined.

    It was great.

    The Room was spacious, clean, and very nice. Breakfast had a wide variety of options and was delicious. However, the staff serving right behind us kept talking the whole time during breakfast, which was quite distracting. Other than that, we were very satisfied and would like to stay again.

    As expected from the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel

    Perhaps because it hasn’t been long since the renovation, the Room was spacious and spotless, and the Facility offerings were excellent, so I had a very comfortable stay. The lounge service also had a great selection of Akita’s renowned sake, making for a truly luxurious time. Breakfast was another highlight—I could fully enjoy Akita specialties, to the point that I didn’t feel like going anywhere else. The staff were also very kind and helpful. I’d love to stay again if I have the chance to visit Akita.

    This is the only Hotel you need near Akita Station!

    A yearly highlight for us—whenever we return home, my mother, aunt, and I stay here together. We are welcomed with warm smiles, and throughout our stay the staff check in on us in many ways, so we can relax with peace of mind. The newly renovated rooms are beautifully clean. The Club Lounge presentation, which I already loved, was even better this year and completely satisfying. At tea time there were items such as Akita milk pudding, chocolate framboise cake, fresh melon tart, blueberry rare cheesecake, brownies, and a matcha & Akita local sake pound cake. At cocktail time there were eight kinds of Akita local sake as well as shochu, draft beer, bottled beer, sparkling wine, wine, and more; the food selection included fresh fish marinade (escabeche-style), chilled shabu-shabu pork slices, iburigakko with cheese, and warm chicken and fish dishes too. Breakfast is served at the restaurant on the 12th floor: Inaniwa udon (hot or cold) prepared by the chef right in front of you; rice balls where you can choose your rice and fillings; omelets where you can combine your preferred ingredients from six options; plus kiritanpo and tastings comparing two types of rice—so many choices that let you enjoy warm and delicious Akita ingredients from the morning onward. Also, if anything comes up during your stay, it’s easy to talk to the staff in their approachable atmosphere—and when we ask for help they resolve things right away. It happened to be my mother’s birthday during our stay; everyone at the Hotel celebrated with us as well, which made her truly happy. We loved the matcha & Akita local sake pound cake at tea time—and when I mentioned that it is also sold on the 1st floor because I wanted to buy it as a souvenir before leaving in the morning (before sales start), they kindly set one aside for us from the day before. Thanks to that we were able to purchase it safely—and even after returning home we’ll be able to enjoy an “Akita feeling” for a little longer. Thank you so much for all your kindness—far more than I can write here. We’re already looking forward to next year again.

    A Hard-Working Hotel

    Stayed at this Hotel for dinner at a famous nearby restaurant. Stayed in a renovated Room on the 7th floor. Both check-in at the front desk and the Room were flawless. The bed and amenities in the Room were also very good. The disappointing part was breakfast the next day. The meal, ingredients, and presentation strongly showcased Akita Prefecture: a rice tasting, Inaniwa udon, and various rice accompaniments were excellent. However, they used cheap soy sauce from a major mass-market brand. If they are going to highlight Akita so thoroughly, I wanted them to be more particular about basics like miso, soy sauce, and salt. I suppose this is simply the limit of what a Hotel can do. It made me feel that this was also the limit of the restaurant manager at an otherwise wonderful Hotel with great views.

    The breakfast buffet was excellent.

    This was my second stay. The breakfast venue for Club Floor guests had changed since my last visit and was now the restaurant on the 12th floor. In the end, it was even better—there was a wider variety at the buffet, and I really enjoyed it. I especially liked the made-to-order rice balls where you choose your rice. If I had to ask for one thing, I would have been happy to see a baguette in the bread section. Cocktail time in the Club Lounge was also great, with an excellent selection of sake.

    I’d love to stay here again!

    The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The lounge offered eight different Akita sake selections, so I could relax and enjoy a tasting. For dinner, I ordered the “Akita Marugoto” Japanese kaiseki course, which also included a three-sake tasting that I really enjoyed. Served in wine glasses, it was easy to appreciate the aromas as well. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Akita.

    I stayed in a top-floor Room. The view was great, but I thought the layout was poorly designed. The Room is fully visible from the restaurant. There is nowhere in the bathroom to hang towels or bathrobes, and there is no place to put the hair dryer, so everything ends up on the floor. The pantry is well stocked, but there is simply no space to set anything down once you take it out. All of the staff were very kind, and breakfast was excellent and very satisfying, so it was disappointing that the Room design let it down.

    The property has been renovated, and the room looked clean at first glance. However, the bathroom felt dusty; when I checked the exhaust fan, it was covered in dust and looked like clumps might fall off. I would like them to do a thorough deep cleaning at least once. On the other hand, I had breakfast and it was very tasty—I was satisfied.

    Start your day with a well-balanced breakfast and a smile.

    Breakfast, enjoyed at a relaxed pace in the open top-floor restaurant with great views, offers an extensive selection—from fresh and steamed vegetables and live-cooked omelets to two varieties of delicious Akita rice and even kiritanpo hot pot—so you can enjoy it every day even on a Multiple Night Stay. If you plan to have breakfast at the Hotel, this is the one to choose. I have not had the chance yet due to business trips that usually include dinners out, but I would like to try dinner in the Hotel someday as well. The Room was simple but spacious enough to rest comfortably, and I checked out feeling refreshed.

    Please discontinue the fixed-dose pump immediately.

    I have absolute trust in ANA and IHG-affiliated Hotels, and since this was my first time in Akita, I chose this Hotel without hesitation. I truly appreciate the effort to offer a spacious Room with breakfast and dinner at such a good price, but I would like you to immediately discontinue the caps on the shampoo and conditioner that dispense only a fixed amount (metered pumps). First of all, no matter how many times I press them, nothing comes out. It’s not just the shampoo—the conditioner is the same. I have long hair, so I need at least three pumps, but from the second pump onward, nothing comes out no matter how many times I try. It’s extremely frustrating and honestly disappointing. Even more affordable business Hotels are far more considerate. Also, there was barely one towel—at least a hand towel would be appreciated. For these reasons, compared with the image I usually have of ANA and IHG brands, the amenities felt far too limited. I understand cost-cutting may be necessary, but this is not where it should be done. At least in Akita, if things remain as they are, I don’t think I would stay again next time—so please consider making improvements.

    This time we booked a Plan with lounge access, but it was disappointing that there were only mini cakes like dessert from the breakfast buffet. Breakfast was delicious, and the Hotel was clean and well maintained.

    Thank you very much for the wonderful service. The Hotel’s location was excellent and made getting around easy. On the first night, we dined at Teppanyaki Sora Sakura. The chef who served us was outstanding, and we truly enjoyed the delicious food and excellent service. Breakfast was also very tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night, 3-day stay.
