Just looking out at the lake from our Room made me feel truly happy. Everything in the Hotel, starting with the Room, was so comfortable that I was really glad we chose to stay here. The portions were very generous and a bit too much for me, but both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Thank you very much. This is an Accommodation I definitely want to visit again. Next time, I’m planning to come by car with my husband, and I’m already looking forward to it. (I also loved the wonderful bath in our Room, but I wanted to see the Onsen building as well; I’m very sorry for the trouble caused regarding the lockers.)

From arrival to departure, the staff treated us with great care, and we had a very pleasant stay. The service was impeccable. The Room retains the charm of a traditional Japanese house while offering a calm, spacious layout for relaxing. In addition to the deck, there is also an area with a sofa where you can sit and take in the outdoor scenery at your leisure, which made it easy to unwind. Unfortunately, it rained quite heavily during our stay, so we couldn’t enjoy the deck as much as we had hoped. The Onsen was also wonderful—you can soak in free-flowing natural hot spring water whenever you like. The bathtub was spacious enough to relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. There is a separate shower room in front of the bathing area as well, which made it convenient to wash before getting into the tub. What left the strongest impression on us in particular was the cuisine. Fresh seafood was used generously, and every dish was absolutely delicious. Although we weren’t blessed with good weather this time and couldn’t see the sunset we had been looking forward to, we still thoroughly enjoyed simply spending time at this Accommodation. Being able to relax so comfortably even on a rainy day may be something unique to Ujo Soan. We were highly satisfied with everything—service, Room, Onsen, and meals—and it’s an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

Though it’s a small inn with just 8 rooms, the attentive, thoughtful hospitality really reaches every little detail. The amenities are well stocked, and even the tissues placed around the property were a higher-grade type—something that alone showed their consideration. There is also a wide selection of colorful yukata for women, and we were even given cute tabi socks. Drinks in the refrigerator are free of charge, and in the small yet relaxing lobby you can enjoy delicious cookies and freshly brewed coffee anytime. The meals were excellent, and the adorable parfait served with breakfast made us smile first thing in the morning. We visited to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, and my husband and I couldn’t help but beam with happiness. Since we’re elderly and didn’t come by car, they kindly drove us to a lunch spot as well, which was truly helpful. There’s also a photogenic plaza right nearby. With great value for money, it was a warm, comforting inn we’d love to visit again.
