A clean Hotel. The bath was excellent. The pillow was quite firm, and I couldn’t sleep. The blackout curtains were good. The shower pressure was strong and great.

This was our first trip using a wheelchair. As it may be our last trip, we chose a place that is wheelchair-accessible, has an Onsen, and serves delicious meals. From the moment we arrived, you kindly assisted with the wheelchair, and we truly appreciate that you arranged a Room in an easy-to-use location for wheelchair access. The Onsen was also accessible by wheelchair, and we were able to enjoy it about twice. Above all, they had more appetite than usual and ate a lot. Thank you for helping us create one last wonderful memory.

We reserved two cottages for three generations. With so many requirements, it was difficult to find an Accommodation, and we decided at the last minute again this time. Thank you very much for kindly accommodating our requests. When we arrived, our first reaction was, “Wow, what a great place!” We checked in at the café building and received the keys, and when we went inside everyone exclaimed, “Wow—it’s so spacious!” We were all thrilled. We chose the plan with two meals and had BBQ for dinner. Everything was set in the refrigerator—just grill it or heat it up—and the portions were very generous. The in-room Onsen bath had silky-smooth water that left our skin feeling soft. It was also wonderful that all four adults could sleep in beds; we were able to rest comfortably. For breakfast, we ate at the café right in front of us—the freshly baked bread was incredibly delicious. Our family also visited the Onsen Facility across from us and said they loved it as well—the water there was silky too and felt amazing. Not everyone drank it, but I personally loved the coffee bags in the Room—they were innovative and tasted great. We really liked everything. It became a favorite for our whole family, and it’s an Accommodation we would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Although it was my first trip to Gifu and I arrived in the rain with a typhoon approaching, the Hotel was exactly as expected. The views between the Nagara River and Mt. Kinka—worthy of “Tenka Fubu”—along with the Onsen, meals, and wonderful hospitality were all excellent. Inside the Hotel, I even got to meet Nohime, making it an unforgettable trip. I would love to stay again.

The Room was spacious, the staff were very considerate, and I was very satisfied with the price. The air conditioner was excellent as well, with no odors or anything like that. I did have to look around a bit because an outlet was hidden behind the information sheet (oops). Since it’s right next to the Meitetsu railway line, those who are sensitive to noise should be aware of this (it didn’t bother me). I missed breakfast, so I can’t comment on any of the food.

As expected from Route Inn, everything was consistently reliable. The welcome coffee was delicious. I was happy to stay at an affordable price with breakfast included.

I considered an Accommodation on the Nagara River because I wanted to show my daughter cormorant fishing. An Onsen Accommodation would have been nice, but we wanted a buffet-style meal, so we chose this Hotel. It was an extremely hot day, and the moment we stepped into the Hotel, the cool air revived us. As a Diamond member benefit, I was happy to receive a one-drink service in the first-floor lounge. The Room we were assigned was on a high floor with a great view, and it was spotless—truly impressive. The dinner buffet isn’t in a huge restaurant, but the quality of the dishes served was excellent, and we enjoyed everything. Drink prices were reasonable for a Hotel, and since it was before cormorant fishing, my daughter and I each enjoyed one drink. We used taxis for round-trip transportation to the cormorant fishing site, which made it very comfortable. Even though it was hot that day, there was a pleasant river breeze, and it helped us forget the daytime heat for a while. Because the river level was low, it seems they didn’t actually catch many ayu, but being able to see energetic cormorants up close made it a great experience. At breakfast, there were many inbound guests early on, but they cleared out quickly, so we were able to eat in peace. The well-known ayu rice porridge was delicious—I went back for seconds several times. The selection of dishes also reflected local flavors well, with various Gifu specialties, which I appreciated. For morning fruit there were oranges, pineapple, and lychees; I’d be happier if there were a few more options. I liked the selection at the shop as well. If I had one request, I would truly appreciate Shuttle Service from the station to the Hotel. As expected of an established Hotel with history behind it, my daughter and I enjoyed an elegant stay. Thank you very much.

The service and meals were flawless, and we were very satisfied to be able to see not only the Nagara River but also the castle from our Room window. The Plan that included cormorant fishing viewing was especially wonderful. Seeing it for the first time helped us understand what cormorant fishing is like, and also why this Accommodation has “Cormorant Fisherman’s House” in its name. I gave the bath three stars not because it wasn’t an Onsen, but because of the aging faucets in the indoor bath. The areas other than the bath have been renovated and are very clean, but only the bathroom felt old (though the tile grout has been properly redone and it still feels clean). Due to deterioration around the switch between faucet and shower, even when trying to use hot water from the shower, a significant amount leaked from the lower faucet, and the shower water pressure became weak. Other than that, we had no complaints at all—if anything, it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay that left us extremely satisfied!

It was a Hotel where I could relax and rest well. Unfortunately, the breakfast area was crowded at the time, so I gave up using it. I’d like to try again next time.

About a 5-minute walk from JR Gifu Station, the location is very convenient. However, there is an area that looks like a huge abandoned district along the route between the station and the Hotel, which gave me pause for a moment (lol). It is said to be the remains of a textile wholesale district that flourished from the postwar period through Japan’s high-growth era. If you take a closer look, it has an old-time charm, and it may be an appealing spot for those who enjoy Showa-retro vibes. Once I arrived at the Hotel, the atmosphere changed completely—bright and refined. The Room was typical of a standard city Hotel, well cleaned, and I was able to stay comfortably without any particular inconvenience. There is a coffee machine in the first-floor lobby, so being able to enjoy regular coffee without going to a convenience store is a thoughtful touch. It takes a bit of practice to use it, so if you’re unsure, ask the staff. (I had seen the same type at another property before so I knew how to use it, but it might be tricky if it’s your first time.) What really stands out about this Hotel is how lavish breakfast is. They offer a wide variety of local specialties—Gifu Hatsushimo rice; Hida nameko mushroom soup; mini Takayama ramen; boiled dumplings with Meihou ham; Hida beef croquettes; Ogaki mizu-manju; gohei-mochi; and more—making for an especially enjoyable start to the day. With many Hotels of similar size and price range around the station area, I think it’s wonderful that they differentiate themselves in this way. I’d love to stay again if I have another chance.

Located just steps from Meitetsu Gifu Station, the Hotel is clean and well-maintained, likely because it is relatively new. The Room was spacious for a Business Hotel. However, the mattress and pillow were firm for my preference, causing discomfort in my back and head. Additionally, the thin blanket made it difficult to stay warm without increasing the air conditioning temperature. While this was disappointing for me personally, everything else about the Hotel was excellent.

I’m a repeat guest. The location is great, and it’s excellent value to get a solid breakfast at this price. The Room is also comfortable and easy to spend time in.

I stayed here again after a long time. As always, the courteous service made me feel at ease. The Room has been renovated, and the unit bath was very clean. It was very comfortable. The amenities are well stocked. In addition to green tea, there is also coffee and black tea. I had breakfast, and there was a good variety of dishes and everything was delicious. I would definitely like to stay here again in the future.

On the first day of our trip, we made a last-minute Reservation when we arrived. The building may be old, but it was very clean, and we were satisfied with everything—the towels, pajamas, amenities, Wi‑Fi, location, and price. We were also glad we could book a smoking room. We walked out for dinner, and in the morning we had breakfast at the Hotel. You can choose curry or toast, and the rest is buffet-style. For this price, being able to enjoy a tasty breakfast was very satisfying. My only regret is that I chose toast. I hesitated about having curry in the morning, but I’m sure it would have been delicious. We rested well and had a great trip.

I have stayed here many times when returning to Gifu. Sometimes I book a Multiple Night Stay, and it is always comfortable. There are restaurants nearby, which is convenient. This time, since it was a Multiple Night Stay, thank you for responding quickly to my last-minute request. I will let you know in advance next time. I would like to continue staying here in the future.

A great-value Hotel that had everything essential, was clean, and spacious enough to be very satisfying. It’s close to Gifu Station, very convenient, and in a location where you won’t have trouble finding places to eat. The staff service was also good. The only disappointment was the food. I only had breakfast. There was a decent variety, with coffee, juice, and even dessert, but overall it was far too salty—especially the Japanese dishes, which were over-seasoned with salt. Other than that, I have nothing else to add.

They were very courteous and helpful on the phone as well.

We stayed in the detached Accommodation. When we called in advance to confirm, we were told it would be possible to add one more set of futons in addition to the 7 people on our online Reservation, so we stayed with 8 guests. Even with 8 people, it was spacious enough, and we had a very comfortable stay. There were notes indicating areas that still use items from the former Ito Ryokan, and there were small decorative touches on the walls like kumiko-style woodwork—overall, the interior was more stylish and beautiful than we expected. It’s only a short walk to the main building, but there is also a Shuttle Service, which we really appreciated. The meals were delicious, and drink orders and other requests were handled promptly and efficiently, which left a great impression. The large public bath and open-air bath in the main building were both wonderful on both the first and second floors—each had its own charm—and we enjoyed using both at night and again in the morning. After letting them know in advance that we would be traveling with an infant, they prepared a diaper trash bin and baby soap in our Room. Our three-generation family had a truly pleasant stay. Thank you very much.

Stayed in July 2026. The Room was thoroughly cleaned and very tidy. When I checked in, the air conditioning was already on, which made it comfortable. Wi‑Fi, TV (terrestrial channels only), a separate fridge and freezer, mattress firmness, and the water pressure for the toilet and shower were all satisfactory. However, because it is along a road, car noise was not completely soundproofed and was somewhat noticeable. At the front desk amenities area (pajamas, razors, toothbrushes, etc.), earplugs were also available. A voucher is included for frozen light meals that can be used until checkout (fried udon noodles, curry rice, green pepper pork bento, chicken meatball bento, pilaf, etc.). You can heat them up in the microwave in your Room. I would like to stay again.

On May 17, I stayed at the culinary Ryokan Ueto. That day, I was lucky enough to have the place entirely to myself, and I’m truly grateful. Upon arrival, I was welcomed by the proprietress and immediately felt it was a calm, lovely place. Unlike a Hotel, there is no elevator, so I carried my luggage up to my Room on the third floor. It’s a small but comfortable Room. The bath was also private—having the entire Ryokan reserved felt incredibly lucky. The water is on the hot side, but it was very relaxing, and then came dinner. Dinner was a full-course tofu meal. Dish after dish arrived; everything was delicious, and I ended up eating too much until I was completely full. (There is more than enough food to finish.) A peaceful day passed, and after enjoying breakfast, I found this Ryokan wonderfully homey. It was an overnight stay filled with thoughtful hospitality that I deeply appreciated.
