A long-established yet not old-fashioned, charming, and spotless Hotel. The staff were all very kind. And the meals were absolutely delicious! With refined seasoning that makes the most of local ingredients, we ate until we could barely move. Next time, I’d love to visit in the winter season. Thank you very much to all the staff.

We stayed with my son’s family—six of us in two Rooms. There was a free shaved-ice service in the arrival lobby, which delighted the kids. The Room was spacious and comfortable. The only drawback was that we couldn’t adjust the air-conditioning temperature properly, but everything else was fine. The large public Onsen bath was also spacious, and we were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen. It may have been a circulated bath, as there was a slight chlorine smell, but there was also a sauna and we had a pleasant stay. Meals were buffet-style for both dinner and breakfast for the first time in a while. Dinner offered all-you-can-eat sushi, sashimi, sukiyaki, steak, and more; breakfast was also delicious, including local ingredients. I think this is a great Ryokan where three generations can enjoy themselves and everyone can be satisfied.

This was a wonderful Accommodation that made my first trip to Niigata truly special. While the building and furnishings showed their age, there were programs where we could enjoy local culture, such as shamisen performances and readings about the snow country, and thoughtful amenities like sake lees face packs, Japanese sake, and coffee, making it an Accommodation where we could fully enjoy Yuzawa. All of the staff, as well as the shamisen instructor, were outstanding. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

The service was outstanding, and I’m truly glad we chose this Hotel. All the food and drinks were delicious. On the front desk floor, there were complimentary coffee and cold barley tea, and in the lounge area they even provided ice bars and Yakult for the next morning—everything was thoughtfully prepared. Of course, we also enjoyed the late-night soba. We had no complaints at all and had a wonderful stay.

As expected from a renowned rice region, the rice cooked individually in small pots for each guest at dinner on the first night of our two-night stay was simply outstanding. We were already more than full from the delicious meal and kept saying we couldn’t possibly eat any more rice—yet we still found ourselves reaching for it. We even wondered if the water made the difference. For breakfast and dinner on the second night, we had rice served in an ohitsu (wooden tub). It was of course delicious as well, but the first night’s pot-cooked rice was truly unforgettable. The Onsen was wonderfully abundant, and we had an extremely comfortable stay overall. We also really appreciated the Shuttle Service to Yuzawa Station—thank you so much.

I chose this Accommodation on short notice, and it’s a place I’d like to visit again. I did not have dinner, so I rated it 3. The Onsen areas change depending on the time, so I used them three times—late afternoon, night, and morning. The Onsen on the 6th floor with a view of the forest was especially relaxing; I could hear insects chirping and soak at ease. I recommend going in the morning and late afternoon. They kindly accommodated our last-minute visit. Both the Room and the bath were clean and comfortable, so we’d like to visit again during ski season.

I love Niigata in midwinter, but I also really enjoy Niigata in the season of wild mountain vegetables after the snow melts. In terms of Onsen Ryokan within the prefecture, I have previously stayed at Satoyama Jujo, HATAGO Issen, ryugon, Hinano Yado Chitose, and Rankei-so. Each Accommodation was unique and charming, and this time I was finally able to visit Shiki Yuzawa QUATTRO, which I had been curious about for a while. As you can probably tell from the above, we travel around various Accommodations because we like places with great food. From that perspective—this is how my spouse and I both felt—the breakfast side dishes were good, but not “exceptionally delicious.” As for the seaweed (“nori”), it had a color and taste we had never seen before, which made us wonder: had this processed product changed over time? Or is this its intended final form in terms of appearance and seasoning? It left us feeling a bit uneasy. Perhaps for guests who usually select ingredients carefully and cook at home on a regular basis, it may not be especially impressive. That said, we truly appreciate that they prepared such a large number of dishes at the in-room chair-and-table seating area and offered their very best hospitality. We felt they were doing everything they could to provide a comfortable stay despite limited staff and time. We would recommend it more to guests with a hearty appetite who have no concerns about their legs or knees. This is because getting into a bathtub without handrails can become difficult as you get older. Both the indoor bath and open-air bath in the room continuously supplied Onsen water, so we could soak at a comfortable temperature again the next morning. We also enjoyed relaxing on the second-floor terrace. Since this season is neither too hot nor too cold—and there are no bugs—why not plan a trip now? The room seemed renovated and was very clean, and there was also a hair straightener in addition to the hair dryer. We were satisfied with the amenities! Thank you to everyone for your kind assistance throughout our stay. The large public bath at Sakura-tei was also nearby, so getting there was easy.

I stayed here on the day of the Nagaoka Fireworks Festival. Even though my Shinkansen arrived late, you came to pick me up, which was a huge help. Also, being able to use the large public bath 24 hours a day was perfect for soothing my tired body. Staying at NASPA New Otani made this trip truly wonderful. Thank you very much.

There was a shuttle bus from Echigo-Yuzawa to the Hotel, so getting there was easy. The 24-hour open-air bath was great—I could use it after the event without worrying about the time. The Facility were also good, with ReFa shampoo and hair dryers, and it was helpful to have a convenience store inside the Hotel. However, the air conditioning in the guest room didn’t work very well, so it might be hard to sleep on very hot midsummer days.

I booked a last-minute stay to unwind after a stressful period at work. At first, I made the Reservation because of the reasonable price, but I was truly moved by the Ryokan’s gentle atmosphere that reflects traditional Japan, the wonderful Onsen, and the delicious meals. Everyone on staff was kind, and during my stay I was able to completely forget everyday life as time passed slowly and peacefully. I’d love to return when I need to rest again. Thank you very much.

At check-in, the host greeted us very calmly and kindly, which immediately made us feel at ease. The Room had the basic amenities (towels, bath towels, toothbrushes, and yukata), and the bathroom vanity had razors, cotton swabs, a comb, and a hair dryer. We were also able to use the private bath (depending on the time slot) right away with perfect timing. I’m not sure about public transportation, but traveling by car was not inconvenient at all. There is a convenience store within walking distance; the only downside is that there aren’t any restaurants nearby. I’d like to stay again.

This time, we stayed in a Room with a private free-flowing Onsen bath. The bathroom in the Room was spacious, with a large tub and water at just the right temperature, so we were able to fully enjoy the Onsen along with the public bath. There was a wide variety of dishes, with plenty of vegetables, and we enjoyed everything—from the meal to dessert—with both our eyes and our taste buds. While the building exterior shows some age, the Facility is well maintained; the Room was thoroughly cleaned, and we had a comfortable stay.

I stayed in Room 401. From the window, you can clearly see Shinkansen trains entering and exiting the tunnel. If you’re a railway fan, this Room is highly recommended. You can hear the running sound only faintly, so it’s not bothersome. Perhaps because the Hotel has recently changed its name and it hasn’t fully caught on yet, there were fewer guests. I was able to enjoy the men’s bath on the top floor almost like a private reservation. Staying at one of the well-known Echigo-Yuzawa Onsen Hotels is certainly an option, but I think spending a relaxing time at this Hotel is also a great choice.

I’ve stayed here many times since the rebrand opening in October, during periods outside the busy winter season, and this was my first stay after the official renewal reopening. The new Wabirei Suite feels like the culmination of Livemax Resort—everything from the open-air bath in the Room and amenities to the large-screen TV, calming lighting, and existing fan-coil system plus individual air conditioning delivered my highest level of satisfaction among all Livemax Resorts I’ve stayed at. It was so comfortable that I ended up falling asleep without even going out for breakfast... Livemax Resort generally offers a high-quality buffet, but Echigo-Yuzawa is especially outstanding—so I’m sure this time’s breakfast must have been great too, and I regret missing it. The newly created Room is spacious, clean, and truly comfortable—“thoughtful attention to every detail” describes it perfectly. I’d love to be soothed by Yuzawa’s cool air again, so I’ll be back soon!

Since it is right in front of Echigo-Yuzawa Station, getting around was easy with almost no travel needed. I was able to use the foot bath and enjoy cake at the cafe as well. I chose a plan with breakfast only, without dinner. Breakfast felt a little less satisfying than before. Overall, I was satisfied. I booked a Room with an open-air bath and was able to use it many times.

We stayed in the Garden Tower at NASPA New Otani with breakfast only (no dinner). We bought food at a nearby supermarket and checked in. I had confirmed in advance that the Room had a microwave, so we were able to enjoy our meal very nicely. The refrigerator was also larger than in a typical Hotel, so there was plenty of space for drinks, and we could even store ice cream after dinner—very satisfying! Even so, I think it’s amazing how affordable it is. The staff were truly wonderful: when they had time, they worked efficiently on other tasks, and if we hesitated even a little about what to do, they would kindly speak to us. I’d love to stay again sometime.

The Room we stayed in was very spacious (160 m²), and I felt it would have been even better value if we had stayed with a larger group. That said, for a Room with an Onsen and a washing area, I think the price was on the reasonable side. Although it did feel like there were not many staff members, they did everything they could to take good care of us, and we are truly grateful. Thank you for your hospitality.

Our first glamping experience was amazing! Everything was so luxurious that we couldn’t help but sigh with delight!
