From check-in to departure, the attentive service was excellent and we were very satisfied. The only drawback was the condition of the access road; we encountered oncoming cars once on arrival and twice on departure, but managed without any issues. If given the opportunity, we would like to stay again.

Not only were the meals and the wonderful Onsen outstanding, but I was also deeply comforted by the staff’s hospitality. Their warm smiles and sincere service reminded me that people can be healed by people. I would love to visit again in winter. The coffee after breakfast was delicious, and I could really feel the proprietress’s attention to detail. It became a memorable trip to Akita. Thank you very much.

I stayed here because I wanted to enjoy visiting the hot springs in Nyuto Onsenkyo. Although I arrived before check-in, I really appreciated that they kindly lent me towels for the hot spring tour. Check-in was smooth, and the room was spacious and very clean, so I was able to relax and stay comfortably. Best of all was being able to enjoy two different types of hot spring water—Nyuto Onsen and Tazawako Kogen—in one hotel. The open-air bath felt wonderful, and I could fully enjoy soaking in nature, which is exactly what makes Nyuto Onsenkyo special. That said, the open-air bath at night was quite dark, and I felt a bit uneasy going in alone. A little more lighting around the footing and surroundings would make it feel safer. The breakfast and dinner buffets were also excellent. Not only was there a wide selection, but each dish felt carefully prepared, and everything I tried was delicious. It was such a satisfying meal that I couldn’t help wanting to try a bit of everything. Nyuto Onsenkyo has several charming ryokan-style inns with their own unique appeal. Among them, Kyukamura stands out for the well-equipped facilities and ease of staying that come with a larger hotel, making it a place where you can feel at ease throughout your visit. If you want to enjoy the atmosphere of hidden hot springs and touring different baths while still spending your time at the hotel in comfort and relaxation, this is a highly recommended place to stay.

We stopped by on our way back from a memorial interment and were completely exhausted, but this Accommodation was satisfying in every way and truly helped us unwind. Although it is a little far from the station, it is surrounded by greenery, and we also liked the natural, not overly manicured garden. The facilities and service were attentive, and we appreciated having pajamas provided in addition to yukata. The spacious indoor bath that can also be enjoyed like a semi-open-air bath was wonderful. The bedding was very comfortable, and even my husband from Kansai praised the meals highly. I had little appetite, but I was still able to enjoy the food. All of the staff were warm and welcoming, making this an Accommodation our whole family was happy with. Thank you for taking such good care of us—we would love to visit again.

I had heard great things about the food, and I was really looking forward to it—it truly impressed me. I enjoyed kiritanpo in an individual hot pot. There were also game dishes, all prepared deliciously. It was my first time in a while to have hatahata. I stayed for two nights and never got tired of the meals; I enjoyed them throughout. The staff were efficient and left a very positive impression.

We were very satisfied with the views, the meals, and the staff’s service. Cold water was available before and after bathing, and the Room was kept very clean. There were some insects floating in the open-air bath, but that is to be expected at an Accommodation in the mountains; anyone who complains about it has forgotten that they are in nature. We would like to stay again.

We stayed here to celebrate my partner’s birthday and chose a Room with a private open-air Onsen bath. The free-flowing Onsen water was wonderful, and we were able to relax at our own pace. Dinner was cooked over an irori charcoal grill, and the staff grilled everything for us—meat, seafood, and vegetables were all delicious. Breakfast also featured plenty of local ingredients, and we were very satisfied. Everyone at the Accommodation was kind and attentive to every detail. We would love to stay again someday!

It was a truly relaxing experience. The view from the room was spectacular. The bath was an open-air bath surrounded by the forest, offering a heavenly experience. You can enjoy different types of baths with unique atmospheres. At night, you can marvel at the star-filled sky. Meals featured an abundance of local ingredients from the prefecture, and drinks were reasonably priced. I had an amazing time and would love to visit this accommodation again. Iwate is vast, and there are still so many places I want to explore!

I was drawn in by the Hotel photos on Yahoo! Travel. The Room was very spacious, with an open and clean feel, and I was able to relax comfortably. The open-air bath was a good size, the sauna was clean, and I personally found the cold plunge temperature very pleasant. The meals were also delicious. I would love to stay again.

It was pleasant that everything—from the lobby and hallways to inside the elevator—was covered with tatami mats. Right after check-in, we were welcomed with cold matcha tea, which was a nice touch. Both breakfast and dinner were served in a private room across the hallway. The simmered kinki (rockfish) was especially delicious. The staff were also very attentive. I think it would have been perfect if face towels were provided in the large public bath.

This was my first trip to Iwate Prefecture. It’s far from home, so I hesitated a bit, but since I could use a municipal Discount Coupon, I decided to book—and I’m glad I did. I had seen a Review saying check-in took a long time, but for me it was around 3:50 p.m. on a weekday and everything went smoothly with no issues. The Room was new and impeccably clean. It was a Room with a semi-open-air bath, and I really appreciated having two bath mats and two thick bath towels per person. The tuna carving show was fun, and the food was delicious. What impressed me most was the excellent service. I wish I could give six stars! From the Shuttle Service driver from Morioka Station to the dining staff—everyone was polite and kind. The temperature of the open-air bath in my Room felt a little cool late at night, so at 5:00 a.m. I called the front desk even though I felt bad about it. They came to my Room right away without showing any displeasure and adjusted the temperature for me. They were so pleasant that it left me feeling warmly cared for, and it really stayed with me. The reason I rated “Guest room & amenities” as 4 is that there were no towels in the toilet area of the Room, and there were no shower caps or hair ties. For women who take multiple baths, these are essential, so please consider providing them. I’m truly glad we made the trip. Even my usually critical husband praised both the meals and how comfortable the Room was. Thank you very much for your hospitality and for giving us such wonderful memories. I would definitely like to stay again.

Located just across the road from Shirahama Beach at Lake Tazawa, we enjoyed beautiful views from our room and the lobby and were able to relax and take in the scenery.\nBoth dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the thoughtfully chosen tableware made the meals a visual delight as well.\nThe hot spring was not too hot, so we could soak at a leisurely pace and feel refreshed.

As the Facility has been renovated, it was very clean and comfortable. The Onsen water is clear simple spring water, and it differs slightly between the indoor bath and the mixed-gender bath. We were also told that each nearby Onsen Accommodation has its own unique features. Thank you as well for the staff’s hospitality.

We stayed for two nights during Silver Week 2026. We were very satisfied with the location, Facility, and meals, and gave 5 points to every category except hospitality and service. In particular, the Silver Week–limited “Grill Dining” at the in-Hotel restaurant “Ibuki” was excellent. We enjoyed not only the two grilled dishes but also the semi-buffet options. We also had wine and were able to relax and enjoy dinner as a family. We also joined the nighttime Galaxy Ropeway event. Unfortunately, it was cloudy so we couldn’t see any stars, but they made thoughtful efforts—such as spending time on the lawn and listening to a projector-based explanation of the night sky—so we still enjoyed it to some extent even without visible stars. On the other hand, we were disappointed with Room cleaning on our second night. After going out in the morning following our first night, we returned to the Hotel around 6:00 p.m. and found that our Room had not been cleaned; used towels and other items were left as they were. Since we had a Reservation at “Ibuki” from 7:00 p.m., we contacted the front desk and asked them to take care of it while we were at dinner. Later, before 7:00 p.m., fresh towels and yukata were delivered to our Room, but ultimately no cleaning was done. The response also felt rather procedural, and we did not feel there was sufficient explanation or apology regarding why cleaning had been missed. I understand that missed cleaning can happen due to miscommunication; however, including how it was handled afterward, I rated hospitality/service as 2 points this time. Because everything else—such as dining and facilities—was highly satisfying, this was particularly disappointing. I hope this will be improved in the future.

I’m very satisfied that I was finally able to stay at Kyounso. Above all, I was able to enjoy the rich sulfur hot spring three times, and every meal was delicious—especially the char sashimi, which I don’t usually get to eat. I’d love to visit again. I regret returning home without properly expressing my gratitude to the staff.

This was my first stay here, and I was satisfied with everything. Since I came after Tamagawa Onsen, I was especially delighted with the meals. I had originally planned to stay two nights, but after watching YouTube, I felt the food there seemed to decline over time, so I changed my mind and canceled one night to try a designer Hotel in Osawa Onsen for a tuna-cutting show. However, I regretted it—it was too late afterward. This place is excellent. Thank you very much for your hospitality; it became a wonderful memory.
