This Hotel is set on spacious grounds in a quiet lakeside setting, perfect for relaxing at a leisurely pace. The view from the panoramic bath is outstanding. The meals are generous—so much so that you may not be able to finish everything. The only drawback was that BS channels were not available.

The staff service, Facility, Room, Miyajima cruise, dinner, and breakfast were all very satisfying. We had a Multiple Night Stay, and there was almost nothing repeated at dinner. Also, the rice balls made on the spot at breakfast were perfectly shaped, and our whole family enjoyed them. Thank you very much to all the staff.

I stayed here with my parents. Every dish at dinner was delicious, and my father and I really enjoyed our drinks. We were also moved by the beautiful sunset over Lake Togo that evening. We would love to visit again.

It was a very dog-friendly Hotel. They had almost everything we needed except food, so we could stay with peace of mind. The open-air bath had a standing bath with a panoramic view of Lake Shinji, and since it was my first time, I was truly impressed. The Onsen while watching the sunrise was the best! The Hotel itself isn’t new, but it was well maintained and perfectly clean, so there was no discomfort at all. If I get the chance again, I’d love to stay here with my dog! Thank you very much.

After a long drive, I was truly refreshed by the clean Facility and the large Onsen bath overlooking Lake Shinji below. For both dinner and breakfast, we enjoyed the buffet, which featured plenty of fresh local ingredients. Everything was delicious, and I ended up eating more than I intended. At dinner, we also added the free-flow alcohol option and thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. This time I stayed with friends, but next time I would like to visit as a couple.

It is conveniently located near Matsue Castle, and we stayed here while sightseeing.

For our summer trip to Shimane, we chose Matsudairakaku based on everyone’s reviews. The spacious room was spotless and opened onto the garden, and dinner was truly more than we could finish—we looked forward to it every night. They also had a great selection of local sake, so we ended up drinking a little too much. When sightseeing, they recommended routes that only locals would know. On our last day, since we had to leave early in the morning, they kindly prepared breakfast earlier for us as well—we apologize for the inconvenience. Everything was perfect, and it made for a wonderful trip to Shimane. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

When I arrived at the hotel, I was a bit unsure about the exterior and thought, “Huh?”—but the older gentleman and the younger staff member were very kind, and even more than that, the assorted sashimi platter and simmered fish at dinner were absolutely delicious. Given the terrain around that area, I suppose there tends to be a lot of driftwood and debris. I checked the map again afterward.

This trip to Oki Island—somewhere my father, now over 80, had always wanted to visit—was truly special. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Thank you very much.

Although the weather was not great, we still enjoyed our stay and even had fun with the little inconveniences. A wonderful Room and meals. Next time, I’d love to watch the stars.

We were captivated by the Sunset Sun Road, which we could enjoy from our Room, the large Onsen bath, the dining area, and the terrace. Both dinner and breakfast were thoughtfully prepared and delicious.
