After watching a TV program featuring purple sea urchin, we visited looking forward to the dining experience. The cuisine, making the most of Amakusa’s abundant natural bounty, was far beyond our expectations—truly outstanding. We also appreciated the thoughtful explanations about the ingredients and stories about the producers, and enjoyed a wonderful time with the paired drinks. Dinner enjoyed while watching the beautiful sunset is a special memory we will never forget. A stylish and comfortable Room, an Onsen with ocean views, and breathtaking scenery right before our eyes—everything was exceptional and deeply relaxing. Most memorable of all was the warm hospitality of your staff, who clearly love Amakusa. Their desire to share Amakusa’s charm and ensure every guest truly enjoys their stay came through in every detail, and thanks to their attentive care we felt comfortable throughout. It became an unforgettable stay for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

This was my first stay, and just as everyone says, it was a truly wonderful Accommodation. The food was delicious, the Onsen water was silky-smooth, the staff were great, everything in the fridge was free, and the price was reasonable. The view was beautiful and very relaxing. Also, since I love drinks, I was thrilled by the wide selection of rice shochu... Thank you very much! I’ll definitely visit again.

My friend and I stayed for one night and two days. When we arrived at the front desk to check in, an insect flew toward us and I let out a small scream, but the woman at reception smiled and said, “I’ve lived on Yakushima for a long time, but you never really get used to the insects,” which put me at ease and was very comforting. The lobby was spacious and clean, and the Room was also extremely clean with an amazing ocean view. Meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner; in particular, the Margherita pizza and mushroom risotto made to order by the chef were delicious. The bath also had a luxurious ocean view, and the silky-smooth water soaked into my body after all the trekking. This time we stayed only one night, but I’d love to come back and stay a bit longer next time.

This was our first stay here, and among all the places we’ve visited, it was the best Accommodation for Western-style cuisine. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality from welcome to farewell. The Room (very relaxing) and the bath (the in-room bath was more than enough) were both excellent. Above all, the meals were outstanding—both dinner and breakfast. Each dish was beautifully presented (including the tableware) and delicious, and we were amazed by how many items there were in the Japanese breakfast (we finished everything). We will definitely visit again during the autumn foliage season. One request: it would be nice to have body wash towels available in the bath area.

We’re repeat guests for the cats, delicious food, and the cozy comfort of having everything you need right in the Room. This time my husband came with us too. The kids were thrilled with the maisonette and the open-air bath. We also love the skincare amenities such as lotion—they’re from a brand we like. We were so happy to finally spend time with the cats again. Since this was our first summer stay, we were told, “You might find stag beetles on the balcony,” and there were so many (surprisingly)! We took some home and are taking good care of them. Thank you for all your thoughtful consideration. Dinner was served at perfect timing—hot dishes hot and cold dishes cold—and my husband really enjoyed how delicious everything was. For breakfast we chose Japanese this time; the clay-pot rice selected by a rice meister was outstanding. Our child asked for seconds again and again. Everything was perfect except that the children’s pajamas we borrowed felt smaller than expected for their size. Thank you as always for your warm welcome—it made for an amazing start to our summer vacation. We’d love to come back again.

After reading Reviews last year, I stayed here for the first time. I couldn’t forget how comfortable it was, so this year I booked a 2-night Multiple Night Stay. It’s a small Hotel with only six Rooms, but the warm hospitality from the staff and chef, along with the moor Onsen, truly soothed my heart. The private open-air bath was also spacious and open, and we could clearly see the beautiful stars. For dinner last time, I was impressed by the teppan French cuisine—especially the vegetables and Shiraoi beef—so on the first night this time we chose French again. It was just as delicious as before. On the second night, we tried Japanese cuisine for the first time—and it moved me more than I can say. Every dish was filled with unseen care and heartfelt effort; the dashi had an exquisite balance of saltiness and umami. From appetizer to dessert, it was a perfectly composed menu that felt thoroughly thought out. I don’t think you can easily find this level even in Tokyo. The sommelier selected wines and sake to match each dish, which made everything taste even better. The Room was calm and relaxing as well—it became a blissful summer holiday. Thank you to everyone there. We’ll be back again next year, and we look forward to seeing you then.

This was our second stay. Since our third son (our beloved dog) joined our family five years ago, we only choose Accommodations where we can stay together, so we’ve stayed at many pet-friendly places around the Kanto area. With new Accommodations opening all the time, there are only a few we’ve ever revisited—but this one is exceptionally satisfying, so we returned during the Obon holiday period. With pet-friendly Accommodations, there’s often something you have to compromise on, but this place is almost perfect. The balcony of our guest Room had an open-air Onsen bath, a sauna, a cold plunge bath, and a relaxation area with a shower—plus an open-air bath for dogs. Inside the Room, there was a theater room with two massage chairs and a dining room where you can enjoy meals in your Room. The French cuisine served there is truly delicious. Recently, more and more Accommodations have excellent Facilities, but I don’t know any other place where you can enjoy food of this quality in your Room with your dog. Once again, everything was absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for the best Accommodation to stay with your dog, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

This time, the meals were upgraded. It’s not like the all-inclusive plans at luxury Accommodations, but it’s just right. Everything feels just right. From the quality of the Onsen I love, to the place being old yet always kept clean and tidy, and how I never get bored no matter how many times I visit or how long I stay. I don’t know why I love it this much, but I’ll be back!

I stayed at Hotel Mukaitaki in Tsuchiyu Onsen. What I especially loved this time were the cuisine, the open-air bath in the Room, and the strong sense of privacy. Dinner was carefully prepared dish by dish, and the surf clam shabu-shabu and Fukushima beef were outstanding. The surf clam’s texture and sweetness and the rich flavor of the Fukushima beef were both excellent—these were the most memorable dishes of my stay. Above all, the open-air bath in the Room was amazing. Being able to enjoy the Onsen freely at any time without worrying about others is truly special. Perhaps because there are only a few Rooms, I hardly ran into other guests during my stay. The building was very quiet and felt extremely private. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to relax at an Onsen Accommodation without being concerned about other people. The staff’s thoughtfulness was also wonderful—they escorted me to and from the parking lot at both arrival and departure. They even gave me souvenir rice balls on my way home. It was warm hospitality from start to finish.

We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay in July in a Room with a jacuzzi. Thank you for taking such great care of us. The front desk and dining staff were extremely kind, and as a truly pet-first Accommodation, we could feel thoughtful touches that set it apart from other places. It’s hard to find this price with breakfast included anywhere else. The star-filled sky was amazing—we were even moved to see satellites with the naked eye. We would definitely like to return again next year.

When I went out for dinner, turndown service was done perfectly. They even left Pierre Marcolini chocolates as a nice touch. The bed was spacious and comfortable, allowing me to sleep well and recover from summer fatigue. For breakfast, I had made a reservation at Nouvelle

The staff were wonderful, and the Room was spotless with a great atmosphere. If I had to mention one thing, the bath is so large that the water cools down quickly, but there is no reheating function... Also, since we ended up with quite a bit of trash, it would be helpful if spare trash bags were provided. We stayed with five family members and one dog, and there was plenty of space. We would love to stay again.

This Hotel was the very purpose of our trip to Kagawa Prefecture. We didn’t do any sightseeing at all, but from the bottom of my heart I’m so glad we came. Throughout the entire Facility, we could feel the owners’ attention to detail and refined sense of beauty in every corner, and at the same time we were truly grateful for their warm hospitality toward guests. Vintage and modern, Japan and Europe—things that are completely different were seamlessly combined through their sensibility. The interior design, the cuisine, and even its presentation were all wonderful and deeply inspiring. The old sofa in our Room had real character, was very comfortable to sit on, and matched perfectly with the modern furniture. Over time, the linen has developed such a beautiful color! I could really understand why the owner is so particular about that sofa. Also, since I’ve been considering buying the chair at the writing desk myself, I was happy to be able to try how it feels to sit in it. Everything they have selected was fascinating and exciting. Above all, their personalities are wonderful—we definitely want to come back again. (A stylish husband and an adorable wife!!) We’d love to stay in other Rooms as well, and see the garden in a different season too. For us, this was a truly meaningful encounter that brought new insights. We stayed for three nights on a family trip during summer vacation. I’ve visited Okinawa about 10 times and stayed at various Hotels, but this was the best one so far! My family also said it was the best! It’s new and very clean, and the modern Room is spacious and comfortable—above all, it’s great value for money. Personally, I loved the style of taking off your shoes at the entrance, and I was glad I could open my large suitcase without feeling cramped. Even though it was summer vacation, we had the bath almost to ourselves for all three days, so we could relax and enjoy it. The changing area and washing area were spotless and well maintained. It was also helpful that we didn’t need to bring towels from our Room. Unlike a luxury high-rise Resort Hotel, the parking lot (and it’s free!) is close by, and it’s a short walk from the parking lot to the lobby to the guest Rooms—this was a huge help when traveling with kids and lots of beach gear. The compact size of the property felt just right in a good way. It’s far from the airport, but I personally like quiet Nakijin Village. There are many stylish cafes and restaurants nearby (they seemed popular with locals), there’s direct access to a convenience store without going outside, and there’s also a supermarket right in front—being able to pop out for quick shopping was fantastic. The staff were polite and attentive as well. Next time, I’d like to stay in a different Room!

It was my first visit. I was completely satisfied with everything, but there are three highlights worth mentioning. I have stayed at many Hotels, and the dining here was exceptionally satisfying. It’s rare to find Western cuisine of this quality. I was amazed by the consommé made from chicken and vegetables—it concentrated the natural flavors of the ingredients beautifully. None of the dishes felt heavy, and I enjoyed everything right to the end. The ayu paired wonderfully with eggplant as well, and I was impressed by how it all came together. My husband and I even said we would like to stay again just for the meals. The wonderful location was also a major plus. I could truly relax while taking in such a luxurious view. I believe that’s thanks to how meticulously everything is kept clean—from the rooms to the large public bath and even the garden. We enjoyed coffee in the library, and used cups were promptly cleared away; there wasn’t a single unpleasant detail. Above all, what stood out most was how wonderful your staff are. Everyone—the person who provided Shuttle Service by bus, the front desk team, each member of restaurant service staff, and housekeeping—was warm and professional. There were also staff members with charming Fukushima dialects, which sounded lovely to me. In particular, one restaurant staff member remained poised while still engaging in pleasant conversation; unfortunately I didn’t get their name. I hope to see them again on my next visit. First, the dining was outstanding. We tried the French, teppanyaki, and sushi restaurants, and everything was perfect. If these were in the city, every one of them would be a hugely popular spot. All of the staff were kind, and you could really feel their dedication to welcoming guests. The Room had a large glass wall facing the ocean, and we had an amazing time on the balcony—enjoying coffee while looking out at the sea and even having breakfast there. The pool is also generously sized, so you can swim properly. We enjoyed spending all day going back and forth between the pool and the jacuzzi in the bath area. It truly felt like a paradise Hotel. We plan to return many times.

Every Room comes with a private open-air Onsen bath, so it was wonderful to enjoy the Onsen anytime you like. There are also three free private baths that require no Reservation, and it’s a great perk that you can use them as many times as you want whenever they’re available. Bre
