Thank you again for your wonderfully pleasant and kind hospitality. I stay here every year to watch the races at the circuit, and I’m truly happy that both the front desk and restaurant staff remember me. At the front desk, they even remembered my name before I parked. In the restaurant as well, several staff members recognized me. Thank you for speaking to me. The Onsen is also very relaxing and helps relieve my fatigue from watching at the circuit!! The Room is clean, the Facility is excellent, and I’m very satisfied. I will stay here again next year. This was my first stay here. Above all, the Onsen were outstanding. I was able to enjoy a variety of baths— a clear, colorless iron-rich spring in the Room, a thick mixed sulfur and carbonated spring, and a gentle sulfur spring— and I was completely satisfied. The traditional Japanese meals made with mountain ingredients were also very delicious and easy on the stomach. I’m also grateful for the warm hospitality and smiles from all the staff. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

The 200g lava-grilled Fukushima beef was generous and very satisfying. The sake tasting was also delicious. Breakfast featured fresh salad vegetables—just what you’d expect from the JA Group—and I was impressed. I was also happy to try every type of egg dish. Because my mother has trouble with her legs, we wanted a Japanese-Western Room with beds, as beds are easier for her when getting in and out of bed. Unfortunately, there were no vacancies at the time of Reservation, so we booked a 10-tatami Japanese-style Room. However, perhaps due to cancellations caused by the typhoon, we were offered a 20-tatami Room instead. It was spacious and very comfortable. They also prepared a mattress with bed-like height for my mother, which was a great help. Although the weather wasn’t ideal and we couldn’t enjoy much sightseeing nearby, we were able to relax at the Hotel and were very satisfied overall. We would love to stay again if we have another opportunity.

We had the pleasure of staying at Yumoto Yukomaso, a member of the Japan Association for Protecting Secluded Hot Springs. The location, Onsen, and meals were all in perfect harmony at a consistently high level, allowing us to fully enjoy everything this Accommodation has to offer. What left the strongest impression was the Onsen overlooking lush spring greenery in a wonderfully rustic setting. Soaking in the water while surrounded by birdsong and the crystal-clear air of Mt. Asahidake was truly exceptional. The cuisine was also outstanding, showcasing the chef’s dedication—deeply flavorful dashi that brought out the best in each ingredient, and beautifully presented dishes plated with great care that conveyed genuine craftsmanship. Our Room was Superior Twin Room 401. We were soothed by birdsong and a refreshing breeze through the window, and thanks to their carefully selected spring water and comfortable mattress—together with the benefits of the Onsen—we felt deeply restored both body and mind. Our walk around Mt. Asahidake is also an unforgettable memory. This has become one of our favorite Accommodations, and we will definitely return.

Because we have a child, we were looking for an Accommodation with in-room dining and a private open-air bath in the Room. After lots of searching, we decided to stay at Yaeno. First of all, the staff member assigned to our Room was easy to talk to and had a warm, motherly presence. We also really appreciated the thoughtful care for families with children. We enjoyed our meal slowly over two hours, and our child was served a luxurious set meal as well and happily ate it. The bath was incredibly relaxing—I used it about seven times. I’m particular about choosing a Ryokan with a private open-air bath in the guest room, but they’re often too hot, too small, or too humid… Surprisingly few are truly comfortable for a long soak. However, at Yaeno the temperature was just right and it felt wonderful. We could also take our time until 11:00 on departure day, so I highly recommend it for families with children. I’d love to come back again in winter.

Not only were the meals and the wonderful Onsen outstanding, but I was also deeply comforted by the staff’s hospitality. Their warm smiles and sincere service reminded me that people can be healed by people. I would love to visit again in winter. The coffee after breakfast was delicious, and I could really feel the proprietress’s attention to detail. It became a memorable trip to Akita. Thank you very much.

We stayed for one night during the Obon holidays with my daughter’s family. My son-in-law was visiting Kusatsu Onsen for the first time, and he really enjoyed the delicious meals and the yumomi experience at the Ryokan. All of the staff were kind, and even our 9-month-old grandchild was able to enjoy it, making it a wonderful trip. We would like to stay at Sakurai Ryokan again.

Thank you again for a wonderful stay. This was our first drive in our new car and also our first stay at Gora Kadan, but we were met with heavy rain. Even so, thanks to the warm welcome from all the staff, your help with loading and unloading our luggage, and your thoughtful care for my mother-in-law, all of our worries disappeared and we were able to enjoy a comfortable stay. My spouse and I have stayed here several times, and this time we stayed together with our adult children. They were delighted and really enjoyed their stay. Stayed as a family of three in a Junior Suite. The Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was also very delicious, and we would like to stay again if we have the opportunity.

I personally love the Genroku-no-Yu bath, though it may not be to everyone’s taste. The route to the annex can be hard to find, so it’s best to ask the front desk for clear directions first.

We stayed in a Room with a private Onsen. We also used the large public bath, and since there are only a few Rooms, we were able to enjoy it privately. I couldn’t tell the difference between the two hot spring sources, but the water was soft and the temperature was just right. In any case, the garden is wonderful. Although Tendo Onsen is located in town, it’s in a calm setting where you can hear cicadas. And the food is outstanding—no typical “just to increase the number of dishes” meals; instead, you can enjoy local and seasonal ingredients prepared with care and served with refined flavors. They also have an excellent selection of Dewazakura sake. I stay at various Accommodations for work, and among those that fit our budget and lifestyle, this is one of the very best. We’d love to stay again.

We stayed here for a trip to celebrate a 60th birthday. Not only were the Onsen, Facility, and meals excellent, but above all, the hospitality and service from the staff who assisted us were outstanding. It was disappointing that we couldn’t see Mt. Tateyama due to the typhoon’s effects, but we’ve decided that next time we’ll book a Multiple Night Stay and go to see Mt. Tateyama with its remaining snow.

The front desk staff welcomed us with exceptional kindness. The Room was spacious and spotless, with a breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Toya. In the private open-air bath, we could soak in the Onsen while fully enjoying the spectacular scenery of Lake Toya. The open-air bath in the large public bath on the top floor was at the perfect temperature—never too hot—so we could relax without having to step out repeatedly. Looking down over Lake Toya from the infinity bath, we felt completely refreshed in both body and mind; it was truly outstanding. The dining was also excellent. The dinner buffet featured an abundant selection of fresh sashimi and nigiri sushi, including scallops, sea urchin, and shrimp. There were also hot dishes such as grilled crab legs and steak—all you can eat. Breakfast offered a wide variety of seafood as well, including raw surf clams and sweet shrimp, and our whole family was thoroughly satisfied with the meals at “Kohan no Sumika.” I have stayed at more than 70 Japanese Onsen Ryokan so far, but “Kohan no Sumika” is one of the few Hotels that I can say I absolutely want to return to. Thanks to the warm hospitality of all the staff, our family enjoyed an unforgettable and perfect stay. Thank you very much. 2. Business Courtesy Version (more formal and polite tone) This is a flawless Onsen Resort Hotel. I stayed at “Kohan no Sumika” on August 30. The front desk service was extremely courteous, and the Room was spacious, impeccably clean, and well maintained. From the guest Room we could enjoy sweeping views of Lake Toya, and in the private open-air bath we were able to savor both the Onsen experience and the beautiful scenery of Lake Toya to our heart’s content. The top-floor open-air bath had a wonderfully comfortable temperature that allowed for a long soak without overheating. Relaxing while looking down over Lake Toya from the infinity Onsen made for an exceptionally luxurious moment of calm. Dinner was highly satisfying: along with plentiful fresh sashimi and nigiri sushi—such as scallops, sea urchin, and shrimp—there were also all-you-can-eat options like grilled crab and steak. Breakfast likewise included seafood such as raw surf clams and sweet shrimp, leaving our entire family very pleased with its quality. Although I have stayed at more than 70 Japanese Onsen Hotels to date, “Kohan no Sumika” is one of those rare outstanding Accommodations that I would very much like to visit again. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for everyone’s warm hospitality; thanks to you all, our family enjoyed a truly perfect time together.

Our family of four stayed for two nights. From check-in onward, the Hotel staff were wonderfully welcoming, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. What impressed us most was the outstanding hospitality of everyone on the team. Not only the person who assisted us at check-in, but also the staff during meals were consistently courteous and attentive. It never felt like formal or scripted service—just genuine care that made dining as a family truly enjoyable. The Onsen was also fantastic, and we were able to relax and unwind at a leisurely pace. Spending two nights together as a family made for a truly wonderful trip. There are many reasons to choose a Hotel—Facilities, location, and more—but what really makes you want to come back is the warmth of the people who work there. We were all very satisfied. When we visit Karuizawa again, we would love to stay here again. Thank you for such a lovely time.

The staff’s wonderful smiles, their kind and attentive service to my mother who travels with me, delicious cuisine that delights all five senses, and an Onsen you can enjoy as much as you like whenever you like—everything about this Accommodation is consistently excellent, so we keep coming back. The Rooms are clean and comfortable with a strong sense of privacy, and each Room has a completely different atmosphere, which makes it fun to try them all. We would love to visit again in a different season.

I chose this Hotel because it was very reasonably priced and the buffet looked great. It’s close to the highway bus stop, and it’s also close to the bus stop for buses back to Hakodate Station. This time we stayed in a Japanese-style room with a partial ocean view, and it even had a wooden-floored area—spacious enough that it felt almost too big for three people. There were no steps, and the toilet and shower room were clean. The buffet was excellent: crab, of course, plus beef tendon curry, handmade fried shrimp and shrimp mayo, and an unusual but delicious ohagi dessert. I’m more of a bread person, and the breakfast bread selection was wide-ranging, high quality, and very tasty. We stayed two nights, but the food was so good that we never got tired of it. I also appreciated having mineral water in the refrigerator. Since this is a popular Hotel that gets crowded with groups and families with children, I think you can stay comfortably by checking in early or adjusting your timing slightly for meals or the baths. The building is spacious, with various well-designed Facilities such as a lounge where you can enjoy good coffee and play areas. There are elevators for each of the four buildings as well, so we had a fun stay without any stress. Rather than cold service rigidly following chain-Hotel manuals, we felt warm hospitality throughout that was fairly flexible depending on the situation. I visit Hakodate often, and compared with staying at Hotels around Hakodate Station area, I was more satisfied staying at this Hotel—so I’d like to stay here again.
