This was my second stay. I truly feel from the bottom of my heart that I’m so glad I found Haccho-no-Yu. Thank you always for your heartfelt hospitality. The baths and the Room are wonderful, but above all, the cuisine is exceptional. I thoroughly enjoyed the many creative dishes prepared by the head chef—they were absolutely delicious. Thank you very much. All of the staff were full of hospitality, and I was able to relax completely. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

It was a truly relaxing experience. The view from the room was spectacular. The bath was an open-air bath surrounded by the forest, offering a heavenly experience. You can enjoy different types of baths with unique atmospheres. At night, you can marvel at the star-filled sky. Meals featured an abundance of local ingredients from the prefecture, and drinks were reasonably priced. I had an amazing time and would love to visit this accommodation again. Iwate is vast, and there are still so many places I want to explore!

This was our first trip traveling with our dog. We were a bit anxious, but when we arrived, even though our dog barked, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and no sign of displeasure, which really put us at ease. Everyone—from the front desk to the dining staff—provided pleasant service, and there wasn’t a single moment that felt uncomfortable.　 The Room had tatami flooring, and it was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The food was delicious; I even ended up eating six pieces of mochi for breakfast! The hot spring water was my favorite type, and the temperature was perfect—not too hot. I just wish the shower pressure had been a bit stronger. We had a wonderful trip.

Traveling with my two lively daughters, I’m sure we caused some inconvenience at times, but this was such a wonderful Accommodation that we’re certain to return. Above all, the staff were outstanding!! From the warm welcome, everything—breakfast, the private Onsen, Suiran Delight, and the rickshaw Shuttle Service—became a wonderful memory. Our 10-year-old eldest daughter was truly moved and said she’ll definitely work hard so we can stay here every year (lol). We will be back again. Thank you very much.

Having a free-flowing natural Onsen in the Room that you can enjoy 24 hours a day is truly luxurious. The night we stayed, we experienced torrential rain and thunder for the first time and felt the power of the Aso mountains, yet even then we could hear bush warblers singing. It was a trip where we fully enjoyed nature. The hosts were wonderful people, and I understand why this Accommodation is so hard to book. Breakfast was generous, and above all, every dish was delicious—another highlight of our stay. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

Although there is no large public bath, we were able to use five thoughtfully designed private baths for free as many times as we liked. The Room, the baths, and the post-bath lounge area were all very relaxing. It was great to have iced coffee in the post-bath lounge area—it was perfect for cooling down after a soak. The drinkable yogurt delivered to our Room in the morning was also delicious. One small downside to the meals was that the portions were large. Everything was so tasty that I wanted to eat it all, but I couldn’t finish—what a dilemma (lol). On the day we stayed, there was a town fireworks festival, and although it wasn’t huge, we enjoyed fireworks launched very close by.

This was our first trip with our dog, and we were able to stay very comfortably. There was a large crate, a large toilet tray, and ceramic bowls for food and water—more than enough space for a small dog. It gave us peace of mind even when we went out during dinner time leaving our dog behind. Supplies such as pee pads were also provided, and the thoughtful attention really showed. The stairs are steep, so our dog was confused at first, but quickly got used to them and seemed to enjoy exploring. The entryway step-down area is also nice. There’s a small garden in the back as well, which feels relaxing. We stayed as a family of four, and with the spacious living area plus complimentary drinks such as delicious coffee, tea, alcohol, and sparkling water available, we were able to unwind at ease. The bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever seen (in a good way), but from a space-planning perspective it felt very efficient—I was impressed by the designer’s skill. As a shower room for international guests it’s more than sufficient, but for Japanese guests it might have been even better if there had been a wash bucket. If you’d like to soak in a bath slowly, there is an onsen nearby that may be a better option. My husband and son said that onsen was excellent. As others have mentioned, the blinds in the main bedroom are stylish but don’t completely block out streetlight glare, so it may be inconvenient for anyone who needs total darkness to sleep. It might be nice to have an additional blackout blind as well. Breakfast had gentle flavors; the rice served in an ohitsu container was delicious too—I ended up having seconds. The concierge kindly shared what makes Hida-Furukawa special with us, which made our short stay truly memorable. We also visited several temples—their architecture was impressive and fascinating. It’s such a calm and beautiful town. We’d love to come back again for the festival in April.

The open-air bath at 6:00 a.m. was amazing. The clear weather was wonderful too. Being wrapped in morning mist—like bathing in the clouds—was also incredible. We’ll definitely be back.

We stayed as three families and had a wonderful time. We have a child who requires special consideration, and we truly appreciated that you contacted us after our Reservation and kindly accommodated our needs. With table tennis available, we all enjoyed ourselves together in the evening as well. The Onsen water was pleasantly silky, and we were able to relax deeply. Breakfast was delicious—especially the vegetables and the apple juice!

As guests born in the Showa era, we found this wonderful Showa bubble–style Accommodation to be the best. It was spotlessly clean, and both the hot water and the meals were excellent. It was quiet, and we could relax at a leisurely pace. We will visit again together with trips to Oze and Fukiware Falls.

I stay here every June. The bamboo shoots at dinner and the omelet at breakfast are delicious! Thank you to all the staff for always welcoming me so warmly.

This summer, I wanted to relax in an Onsen for at least a day, so I stayed at this Accommodation located a little over an hour by train from Nagoya. Perhaps because it sits on slightly higher ground, the mornings and evenings were cooler than in central Nagoya, and I could also enjoy a beautiful night view—making for a wonderful stay. If I had brought insect repellent spray and binoculars, I think I could have relaxed even more on the balcony while enjoying the night view during the evening-to-night hours when mosquitoes are around. Next time I visit in summer, I’ll be sure to bring them. I was also very happy to be able to enjoy alcohol—white wine in my Room and a tasting of local sake with dinner. By the way, there was a slight smell when I first entered the Room (I couldn’t tell what it was), but once I started using the air purifier it didn’t bother me, so it wasn’t an issue. The Room had drinks such as coffee, sencha green tea, and herbal tea, and there was even incense prepared in the alcove—I truly had a great time.

Surrounded by Aso’s great natural scenery, the views were amazing! We were upgraded, so our Room was a Japanese-Western style room with a wonderful view. The food was also excellent—Akaushi roast beef and steak, sashimi, and more—with an all-you-can-drink plan, so we were very satisfied! It was only one night, but we really enjoyed the stargazing walk at night, fireworks, the pool, the massage room, and manga—everything was great. The open-air bath was a bit too bright in the daytime because of the sun, so I’d like some measures for that. I wanted to soak in the open-air bath under the night sky, but I drank too much and fell asleep. The next morning we could even see a sea of clouds—it became a truly wonderful memory!

From check-in to check-out, everything felt wonderful. Even during Silver Week, the price for three people for one night was reasonable, and we were very satisfied. The Room and Facility are a bit old, but they were clean and there were no issues at all. The Onsen was my favorite sulfur spring! The small bath actually added to the atmosphere and was great. We also used the private open-air bath; the water was quite hot and warmed us up thoroughly. For dinner, I was surprised at how tender the beef in the hot pot was. The pork miso soup was also delicious (personally a highlight). All of the staff (front desk, housekeeping, restaurant—everyone) were kind and left a very positive impression. I definitely want to come again!

After our trip to Furano, we found this Hotel while looking for a place to stay on the way home. Because it’s in the mountains, we were a bit worried about the drive, but it wasn’t far from downtown Ashibetsu, so we arrived without any trouble. We expected an older Facility, but once inside it felt completely modern. Everything was spotless, and there were lots of features younger guests would enjoy. Detox water stations from various brands, a space filled with books, areas to relax and chat, a guest-only lounge, wall art, and exhibits about Yutani Onsen and local coal mine history—there was always something interesting to see. The owl artwork on the wall was especially cute; if there had been any related goods for sale, I would have bought them. After getting out of the bath area, I was disappointed that one spot had that owl covered by a notice—I really wanted to see it. Our Room had a classic Japanese style but was very clean. The tatami mats were fresh and green-blue and felt great. It seemed that the open-air bath and the pot bath used Onsen water. Unfortunately it rained at night, but soaking in the Onsen under cover while listening to the rain was truly relaxing. I feel like I’ve made a connection with Ashibetsu as well—I genuinely want to visit again. I’d definitely recommend this Accommodation to friends and acquaintances. This is the best Accommodation in the Okuhida Onsen area. The value for money is outstanding. We really enjoyed the open-air bath in the Room, the private open-air bath, and the lounge area after bathing. This was our second stay.

The building is old, but the Accommodation is clean, the meals are delicious, and the Onsen offers a wonderful view. On our way back, we mistakenly got the trolley time wrong. Even though the Shuttle Service had just departed, you kindly came to pick us up. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery from the trolley—thank you very much. If we come to Unazuki again, we would love to stay at your Accommodation.

As a self-employed person, it’s hard for me to take time off, but I was finally able to bring my elderly mother—who had been saying for so long that she wanted to visit an Onsen—for a one-night stay. I chose this Accommodation after reading Reviews, hoping we could relax more than at a large Hotel. Since we stayed on a weekday at the end of summer, the rooms were only about half occupied, which was also nice. The staff were all smiling and pleasant. We checked in early and enjoyed the Onsen before dinner. Dinner was served in private dining rooms with table seating. There were many dishes, but each portion was small enough to enjoy comfortably; everything was served warm at just the right pace, and the flavors and seasoning were perfect—we were very satisfied. The timing worked out well for the Onsen too, so we hardly ran into other guests and could take our time in both the indoor bath and the open-air bath. Staying during the autumn foliage season may be difficult due to crowds, but my mother said she definitely wants me to bring her again.

Outstanding hospitality—this is a wonderful Hotel! When my elderly father choked on a piece of steak at the restaurant, the staff rushed over immediately and supported me as I helped him, and thankfully he was fine. To the staff member who ran to us in that critical moment, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude once again. And the food is incredibly delicious! Each dish is rich in flavor and makes the most of the ingredients. Even my father, who had choked, finished all of his remaining meat, and our whole family enjoyed the desserts as well—everyone agreed they were delicious. I often hesitate to travel with my elderly parents who require nursing care certification, but we were able to stay together in one Room for four people, and this Hotel made me want to bring my parents again. We will visit again when we have the chance. Thank you very much.

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. Overall, it was comfortable. The bath on the 7th floor had a fairly lukewarm tub, which was great because soaking in it after the hotter tub let us enjoy a longer time without overheating. On the other hand, the bath on the 1st floor has only four washing stations. While there are multiple tubs, most are so small that they barely fit one or two people, so I wouldn’t really recommend it unless you visit on a quiet day or specifically want to try several small baths. Meals (both breakfast and dinner) changed between the first and second night, so even with a Multiple Night Stay we didn’t get bored. You can enjoy many different dishes in small portions, and there’s also a special, creative feel to them. Everything was tasty, but not so impressive that it’s worth setting your expectations too high. The fish dishes were average; the meat dishes were very good. It was also nice that you can order Fukushima sake and other drinks for an additional fee. All staff were warm and welcoming. The Room was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. We could see nature through large windows, and the amenities/Facility were well equipped: a large desk with a sturdy chair, a powerful hair dryer, a full-length mirror (stand mirror), tea and coffee, etc. However, it was disappointing that the desk drawer hit the chair armrests making it hard to pull up close to the desk, and that the light on the stand mirror had dead batteries. Since we stayed during Obon season there were many families with children, so it may not suit those looking for a quiet adults-only atmosphere. Also, since it said “no cleaning unless requested” for Multiple Night Stay guests we didn’t ask for anything—but staff still entered our Room to replace amenities without warning us first. This part of their guidance is unclear. There are hardly any shops nearby such as convenience stores, so it’s not ideal if you plan to sightsee only in the immediate area. It seems better suited either for going out toward the station area or for relaxing at this Accommodation. We didn’t use it ourselves, but they also appear to offer a free Shuttle Service bus to another affiliated Onsen.
