I’m from Tokyo. Before my stay, there was a major earthquake, so I contacted them because I was worried. They kindly said, “There has been zero impact on the building, so please don’t worry. We won’t charge a Cancellation Fee this time, so take your time and decide right up until the last minute,” which I really appreciated. I decided not to cancel in hopes of contributing even a little to the local economy—and it was absolutely the right decision. The staff were truly wonderful, and it became the best retreat of my life. The meals, Room, baths, and service were all outstanding. Congratulations on being awarded Michelin Keys for two consecutive years.

This was our second stay. Since our third son (our beloved dog) joined our family five years ago, we only choose Accommodations where we can stay together, so we’ve stayed at many pet-friendly places around the Kanto area. With new Accommodations opening all the time, there are only a few we’ve ever revisited—but this one is exceptionally satisfying, so we returned during the Obon holiday period. With pet-friendly Accommodations, there’s often something you have to compromise on, but this place is almost perfect. The balcony of our guest Room had an open-air Onsen bath, a sauna, a cold plunge bath, and a relaxation area with a shower—plus an open-air bath for dogs. Inside the Room, there was a theater room with two massage chairs and a dining room where you can enjoy meals in your Room. The French cuisine served there is truly delicious. Recently, more and more Accommodations have excellent Facilities, but I don’t know any other place where you can enjoy food of this quality in your Room with your dog. Once again, everything was absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for the best Accommodation to stay with your dog, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

The Room was clean, and the amenities were well stocked—including tableware and insect repellent—which was very helpful! We were told we could enjoy fireworks, and there was also a bucket for putting them out, which made the kids really happy. The sauna was amazing, and we could relax in the outdoor bath without attracting bugs by keeping the main lights off and using only the jacuzzi light. We also heard that if we wrote a Review, we would receive a case of beer—it was already chilled in the fridge, and my husband was delighted with such great service! The Room with a pool wasn’t available this time, so if we have another chance, we’d love to stay in one next time.

It was a wonderful villa. Mount Fuji was right in front of us, and we could see it clearly thanks to the great weather! The meals were all delicious, and we were very satisfied! We brought our dog along, and they had so much fun playing around. We would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

I chose this Accommodation for my boyfriend’s birthday trip. It was my first stay here, and it far exceeded my expectations. Above all, the staff’s service was truly outstanding, and I was moved by every thoughtful gesture. The property has the charming presence of a grand traditional Japanese house, and the garden is beautifully maintained. We enjoyed a luxurious time dining at a relaxed pace while looking out over the garden. The basashi (horse sashimi) in particular was the best I’ve ever had—absolutely unforgettable. The Room was spacious and spotless, very comfortable, and the view from the window was wonderful. The building also has delightful surprises and playful touches that even first-time guests can enjoy, which kept me excited throughout our stay. They also offer an excellent selection of sake, so I especially recommend this Accommodation to sake lovers. It was one of the most memorable places I’ve ever stayed—completely satisfying in every way. I will definitely return.

As a reward for my eldest daughter’s junior high school entrance exams, I stayed with a mom friend and our children—five females in total. The view from the Accommodation was amazing, both the ocean during the day and the illuminated scenery at night—so open and refreshing. There were generous amounts of welcome snacks, mineral water, alcohol, and amenities provided—it was truly impressive!! The pool was a perfectly sufficient size for what felt like a private pool, and the kids had a great time. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, but we left wishing we could have enjoyed it even more—it was hard to say goodbye. The staff who assisted us were incredibly quick to respond; it really surprised me. Thank you very much. It was a bit of a splurge for our family, but if we have another chance, we would love to stay again.

We stayed in the West Wing with my parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, and our family—6 adults, 3 children, and 2 dogs. Everyone was thrilled, and it became a wonderful travel memory. As we were celebrating a special occasion, we asked for balloon decorations and to purchase fireworks. For meals, we hired a private chef. Inamuragasaki holds many memories for us. With the ocean right in front of us—and no power lines visible from inside—it was truly a special location. Since the kids are still small, they were overjoyed to use the rooftop jacuzzi like a pool instead of going into the sea. The adults could watch them safely and relax while enjoying the ocean view in complete comfort. The food was also excellent—hiring a private chef was absolutely the right choice. We also got to try out karaoke that you’re considering introducing as a service. Our child who loves singing was delighted and held onto the microphone nonstop. At night we enjoyed fireworks and made so many great memories with the kids. Everything was prepared in such a comfortable setting—easy for adults and fun for children. Our surfer family members even went into the ocean twice. It truly was an amazing place. We highly recommend it for family trips. We will definitely be back again. Thank you very much.

We stayed for 3 nights, but it still wasn’t nearly enough. Yakushima is often thought of as “all about trekking,” but you can absolutely enjoy it even with a long, relaxed stay at the Accommodation. For example, a guest from Eastern Europe was lounging by the pool from the morning—honestly, the atmosphere feels just like Southeast Asia (Bali in Indonesia, Phuket in Thailand, Langkawi in Malaysia, etc.), so if you love that vibe, this place is irresistible. On top of that, in the Junior Suite you can enjoy an Onsen right in your in-room bath! The bath is spacious and even has an ocean view—and the water quality is excellent. Also, as mentioned in someone else’s Review (maybe a blog), we were never once asked to confirm our name or Room number. Many of the staff were young, but everyone served us with genuine warmth and a real desire to make guests happy and help them enjoy their stay. We had dinner at “Orchard” all three nights; each meal was varied and we never got bored. The younger staff really shined here too and made it a lot of fun. This time, due to the recent typhoon, trekking at major spots was canceled. However, thanks to alternative options suggested by the trekking company arranged for us, we were able to get a great overall sense of Yakushima—including driving around the entire island—which ended up being perfect for us as first-time visitors. The spa and sauna were excellent as well. By making good use of hourly rental cars, we’d like to consider a longer stay next time (it almost makes you think there’s no need to go abroad just to unwind). Thank you very much for everything.

We stayed here with a family of five and one dog. Our check-in was a little late, but thank you for accommodating us. We were also very satisfied with the staff member’s courteous explanation at check-in. As for the meals, our whole family worked together and prepared everything smoothly, and we enjoyed it very much. That night, we ended up chatting late into the night as a family and may have had a bit too much to drink. Not only the building itself, but also the dining area, bedrooms, bath, sauna, dog run—everything exceeded our expectations and became a wonderful memory. Next time, we’d like to stay for two nights and three days and relax at a slower pace. Thank you again for everything.

We planned a one-week trip to the San’in region of China, and our main purpose was to stay at Otani Sanso. It was an Accommodation we had wanted to stay at for a long time. The day before our stay, we had car trouble on the Sanyo Expressway and weren’t sure whether we would make it. When we informed the staff, they responded very kindly and helpfully. On the day, we rented a car and were able to head there, but arrived after 5:00 pm. We had made a dinner Reservation for 5:30 pm, but they gladly changed it to 7:30 pm. Our Room was a twin Room, more spacious than expected, with a great view, and very comfortable. There were also large tour buses parked there, so I assume there were many group guests. However, the baths were spacious with various types available, so it never felt crowded and we could relax. Inside the building as well, perhaps because group guests used different routes of movement, it didn’t feel busy. Both dinner and the breakfast buffet were excellent. In particular, the dinner appetizers and sashimi of fugu pufferfish and sea bream were outstanding, as was the freshly baked bread at breakfast. As mentioned above, the front desk staff were polite and pleasant. In addition, the staff who greeted us on arrival and departure—and especially the male staff member in charge of our dinner table—were also wonderful. It was clear that everyone provided high-level hospitality. Although it’s far from Tokyo, this is an Accommodation I would definitely like to stay at again.

A luxurious Facility where extraordinary koi swim. We were able to enjoy a sand bath, a ceramic bath experience, and a private open-air bath at no additional charge. All staff were kind and provided attentive service. The Japanese cuisine served at the Yakusugi cedar counter was exquisite, with tropical fruits used throughout that were as beautiful to look at as they were delicious. The entire property was spotless and impeccably maintained, and the star-filled sky we gazed at late at night from the free-flowing natural hot spring open-air bath in our room was beyond words.

I’d been wanting to visit for a long time, and I was finally able to stay this time. Unfortunately, because of the rain there was no goat welcome, but I enjoyed a champagne welcome drink in the lobby and headed to my Room feeling excited. The Room was very spacious and impeccably clean, so I felt comfortable throughout my stay. The fog was quite heavy so the view wasn’t very clear, but I was told you can see Mt. Fuji on a clear day. I also really appreciated the complimentary free-flow drinks in the refrigerator. I requested refills of various items such as half bottles of champagne and water. The bath is an Onsen, with a faint sulfur scent and just the right temperature. It wasn’t an open-air bath, but opening the window made it feel wonderfully airy. It was also my first time staying in a Room with a sauna (with cold plunge), and it was a great experience—I worked up a good sweat and truly enjoyed it. Dinner was thoughtfully prepared across every dish and absolutely delicious! The wine pairing was excellent as well, and I had a wonderful time until the very end. For a late-night snack, we were served conger eel sushi—far beyond what you’d expect for “late-night,” truly authentic. I enjoyed it with another refill of champagne. For breakfast we chose in-Room dining; the pork miso soup was especially delicious, and being able to have seconds left me completely satisfied. Above all, the staff were courteous with just the right sense of distance while still being incredibly attentive—checking on drink replenishments in our Room and more—which made for an excellent stay. I would love to return for another stay. Thank you very much.

The front desk staff were wonderful! Even though we checked in after midnight, they kindly accommodated us. We stayed here the night before heading to Kusatsu Onsen. This time, our family used the Special Room. As soon as we entered the Room, it was incredibly spacious!!! The bathroom in particular was huge and amazing!! There were plenty of amenities, which was really helpful—and when we opened the refrigerator, there were complimentary drinks!! There were also cup udon noodles on the table for each of us!! The service was excellent and we were very satisfied! For this price, the Room size and service are more than enough. A truly satisfying Hotel!! We would love to stay again.

Our group of 10 family members across three households stayed here. The Facility and amenities were well equipped, and the children especially spent all their time playing in the pool and jacuzzi. After enjoying canoeing in Kushiro, we arrived and were immediately impressed by the spacious, beautiful entrance. The lobby, centered around an irori hearth, felt wonderfully open and soothing with its charming design. Every member of the staff was truly welcoming, making our stay relaxing and comfortable. The milk soft-serve and milk were rich and flavorful, and the morning daifuku and ozenzai were also delicious. This is our number one Accommodation we’d love to visit again.

We had an incredibly fulfilling stay. From the interior and exterior design to the furniture, decor, fixtures, amenities, lawn, and open grounds, this was a wonderfully comfortable Facility where you can feel the attention to detail everywhere. The interior is unified in a calm design, with very high ceilings that create an airy sense of openness, allowing us to fully enjoy a special time away from everyday life. The vanity area and bathroom were especially spacious and impressive—made with high-quality materials and kept impeccably clean down to every corner. The amenities also felt thoughtfully chosen; for example, Aesop hand soap was provided at the sink. All essential cookware and appliances were available, so we could stay comfortably without any inconvenience. We even enjoyed handheld fireworks in the garden. The views of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps were also stunning—scenery you could gaze at for hours without noticing time pass. Most memorable of all were the wood-fired sauna and cold plunge bath. The wood-fired sauna was exceptional—enjoying it while feeling the flicker of flames, hearing the crackle of burning logs, and breathing in the scent of wood was truly special. Unlike an electric heater, it had a gentle heat that warmed us slowly from deep within and helped us relax completely. A large amount of sauna stones were thoroughly heated, so we could also enjoy pleasant steam from löyly. It’s an ideal setup that I would highly recommend even to dedicated sauna lovers. They added ice to the cold plunge bath multiple times for us, so we could cool down properly. Paired with the wood-fired sauna, it was perfect—we fully enjoyed every session. In the evening we enjoyed a BBQ, and we really appreciated that the owner prepared everything—from lighting the fire to setting everything up. On top of that, we received a generous gift of fresh vegetables grown by his wife. They were all rare varieties you don’t often see day-to-day, and you could feel careful attention not only in each vegetable but also in their labels and packaging. We tried them right away at our BBQ—especially the eggplant, which was unbelievably tender and delicious. Beyond how wonderful both the Facility itself and its location are, we were truly moved by the owners’ thoughtful hospitality as well. In this extraordinary setting—with beautiful views, a wood-fired sauna experience like no other،and BBQ—we spent a luxurious yet deeply comfortable time here. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience.

My wife and I stayed here as a reward after work. Everything was wonderful—the butler service, the food, and the atmosphere. The early evening with a hint of autumn and the refreshing mornings were both amazing. Staying for about two nights would be perfect. Next time, I’d like to try another Room as well. Thank you—my wife was very satisfied too. The meat miso we received was so good we couldn’t stop eating rice.

The Room was very clean, and I was able to stay comfortable throughout my entire visit. What I especially loved were the infinity pool and the sauna. With only seven Rooms available per day, it never felt crowded, and I could relax and enjoy them at a leisurely pace. The views were stunning, and you can truly experience an extraordinary escape from everyday life. The staff’s hospitality was also excellent, making my stay very pleasant. Breakfast was delicious, and the bar had a wonderful atmosphere as well. Being able to enjoy drinks slowly while taking in the view was particularly memorable. It’s not an inexpensive Accommodation, but considering the Facility offerings, meals, service, and views, I felt it was well worth the price. I would love to stay again.
