We always stay here when traveling with three generations, and we truly appreciate your hospitality. (It also feels nostalgic because my father worked here back in the Kanpo days!) Since the renovation, it has become even more comfortable for children, and we made more wonderful memories again this time. As part of the summer vacation program, our kids were thrilled right after arrival with the cardboard maze and the guests-only soft-serve ice cream and ice pops! At dinner, there were also summer-only treats like chocolate bananas and shaved ice—like a fun festival. They were set up so they couldn’t be seen from our seats at first, so after the kids finished their meal and we told them about it, they happily went to get some. We really like that both breakfast and dinner are served at the table rather than buffet-style, so we can relax and enjoy our meal. The dishes used Yaizu sashimi and rice, and we could feel the care put into the food. And we were absolutely full!!! The Onsen water quality has been great for years, and my mother and daughter were able to relax together. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and had a welcome little visitor (a cicada)! The kids loved it (it was gone by morning). The staff at the front desk and shop were kind and helpful as well—this is a Hotel where we can feel safe and comfortable. If there were a Room that could accommodate six people, that would be perfect; from next time we will need to book two rooms. We would be very happy if there were an option where everyone could stay together. Thank you again for your continued support.

Although we stayed for only one night, we were very satisfied. We were able to forget the hustle and bustle of the city, relax, and enjoy being surrounded by nature. The staff were wonderful, and it was an Accommodation we would like to visit again. Thank you very much.

We had a wonderful, memorable trip with our child! We arrived at the pool around 1:00 PM and were able to use it right away. Since it was a weekday, no one else was there, and we were probably the first to use the large public bath afterward as well—very comfortable. Since it was summer, we really appreciated the water dispenser and welcome drinks. Thank you to all the staff for their pleasant and helpful service. Throughout our stay, we could really feel that guest feedback is properly reflected in how this Accommodation is run. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious with a wide variety of options. The night pool also had a great atmosphere. We think this Accommodation is highly recommended for families as a hidden gem for summer pool fun. We’d love to stay again if we have the chance.

Close to the station, with an outlet mall just nearby, so the location is very convenient. Also, since we have children, we signed up for Picchio’s animal tour and insect tour within the Hotel and joined in. The guide explained everything carefully, and we enjoyed it a lot, so I highly recommend it. The Hotel grounds are vast, and shuttle buses run until late between Karuizawa Prince West, Animal, Hot Spring, and the outlet mall, which was very convenient. We woke up early and took a walk around the Hotel grounds. The fresh air was wonderful, and the sun filtering through the trees was truly soothing. The Onsen was great as well, and above all, all of the staff were very kind and pleasant—it really felt like they are well trained. I will definitely stay at this Hotel again.

Visiting Sendai for the first time in 20 years, I chose to stay at Sakan again, a place full of fond memories.\nThe Onsen and Facility areas have been beautifully renovated, and amenities like ReFa hair dryers made the stay extremely comfortable. What impressed me most was the half-buffet. The beef tongue steak and sea urchin I selected as the main dishes were outstanding—being able to enjoy both meat and seafood so luxuriously left me completely satisfied. The buffet also offered a wide variety of options, with many live-kitchen stations, which made it wonderful to enjoy freshly prepared dishes. There was also an excellent selection of drinks and desserts, keeping me excited throughout.\nIt had been 20 years since my last visit, but it turned into an amazing experience that far exceeded my expectations. I would definitely love to return!

Twice a year, our family treats ourselves to a slightly luxurious trip. This time it was just the two of us, and considering the location and the Room, the price felt surprisingly reasonable—so I was a bit worried. Still, we decided to stay at Kajikaso because of its great location near the shopping street.\n\nUntil we arrived by car and were waiting to check in at the Hotel, I honestly thought we might have made the wrong choice. But after check-in, everything changed: a spacious, bright Room; a garden open-air bath with perfectly heated water flowing continuously; very comfortable beds; and even two TVs. The large public bath was impressive—big enough to swim in—and the temperature was just right.\n\nDinner was excellent, especially the appetizers and sashimi. Drinks ordered via tablet were delivered quickly, and chatting with the staff was truly soothing. We also enjoyed the karaoke room and breakfast—everything was wonderful.\n\nMy husband especially loved the complimentary beer server in our Room.\n\nThank you very much for taking such great care of us!

This was our second stay. All the staff provided very courteous service. The meals were delicious, and the Onsen and the entire property were impeccably clean. The views from the restaurant and the top-floor guest room were truly wonderful. There is also a day-use Onsen within easy walking distance, so we were able to enjoy a variety of experiences. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for everything.

The Room had a private Onsen with an amazing view, and being able to soak in it again and again was truly soothing. My wife and I also had a wonderful time together. Thank you very much for your courteous, kind service, including the teppanyaki dishes we ordered additionally. Reservations are rarely available, but if possible, we would love to stay at this Accommodation again.

More than 40 years ago, when I was a child, I stayed here with my mother, my older brother, and a family who were acquaintances of my mother. I could barely remember anything other than the name, but after all these years, I’m glad I was able to stay again—this time with my own family. The portions at both dinner and breakfast were very satisfying, and I was happy to have my favorite hoba miso. I love Gero, so if I have the chance, I’d like to stay again.

We stayed here with our daughters during summer vacation. Despite the reasonable price, the hospitality was outstanding. Dinner was served in a private room so we could relax, and the large public bath was clean and truly soothing. Breakfast was a buffet, and everything we tried was delicious—such a fun experience. This is an Accommodation that makes you want to come back regularly to unwind.

The Hotel had a calm, modern Japanese-style atmosphere throughout. The view from the window was beautiful, overlooking the Nagara River and Gifu Castle. The scenery from the large public bath on the 8th floor was also spectacular. I really enjoyed breakfast, with fun and delicious options like comparing different types of rice and making my own furikake seasoning. For dinner, I chose in-Room dining, so I could eat at a relaxed pace. The only disappointment was that the tempura in the Shokado bento had gone cold, but that’s understandable for a boxed meal. All of the staff were polite, and I had a wonderful stay.

The riverside open-air bath was closed, but we used the outdoor Onsen reached by going down 300 steps. The staircase is so narrow that only one person can pass at a time. We were told it’s open until 11:00 p.m., but we were worried about our footing at night, so we went in the evening and again in the morning. While soaking, we enjoyed the river’s flow and the mountains, listening to the sound of the water. The stairs were tough, but I truly felt glad we came. The semi-open-air bath down about 20 steps was also wonderful, with a clear view of the mountains right in front of you. The temperature was perfect for me. I didn’t expect much from the indoor bath, but it had large windows and felt very pleasant; there was a jacuzzi, a reclining bath, and a hotter pool where we could relax comfortably. Everyone at the Accommodation was very kind and welcoming. Dinner came in many small dishes. The beef and the meatballs in the hot pot were delicious. Even simple items like the beef sauce, hot-pot broth, and pickles were all excellent. The portions were just right for us as a couple. I think you need to be fairly fit to visit an outdoor Onsen that requires going down 300 steps—but I’m really glad we did. This isn’t about the Accommodation itself, but both the bus driver from Nasushiobara Station and the person at Shiobara Onsen Terminal who explained a map of Shiobara Onsen were incredibly friendly, which made our memories of this trip even better. I visited with a friend who loves traveling. This was my third stay, and as always, the food was excellent, and the Onsen was amazing. My friend, visiting for the first time, also enjoyed it and went to the bath twice. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed the many great services, such as a welcome cake, all-you-can-eat ice cream, and evening cocktail service—wonderful not only for children but also for women. The pillow height was just right, so I slept very well. Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay.

This was our first trip to Shuzenji, and staying at Goyokan made it a truly wonderful journey. Thank you very much to all the staff. The building has a charming Showa-retro atmosphere, and the stairways are decorated with goldfish paintings throughout. A staff member told us about the fun of spotting hidden telescope-eye goldfish, so we enjoyed exploring as we walked around the property. The Room was also spacious, and we were able to relax from the moment we arrived. Since our Room faced the road, next time we would love to stay in a river-side Room. We used two of the three types of baths. The open-air bath felt great in the nice weather, and the rock bath was spacious and very relaxing. The meals were delicious as well—sukiyaki for dinner, and dried fish and black rice porridge for breakfast. However, since we both have small appetites, we feel sorry that we couldn’t finish everything. Everyone on staff was truly pleasant, and they chatted with us in such an enjoyable way that it made our time even more special. Thank you very much.

The cat was very cute. The Onsen’s open-air bath felt cold when I first got in. The indoor bath was also quite lukewarm, but it felt like I could stay in forever. I bathed three times during my stay, and it was very relaxing. Many of the staff were from overseas, but I could feel their thoughtful hospitality. It had a homey atmosphere. As a solo traveler, it was great to be able to relax quietly. I’d like to stay again.

We stayed for a relatively long visit of 4 nights and 5 days with our family and two Chihuahuas. The Room was clean, and we had a comfortable stay. Since we were staying for an extended period, we cooked quite often. It was great that the kitchen appliances were well equipped, but it was disappointing that there weren’t many dishes. It was also very convenient to be able to walk to Tsuruya in about 15 minutes. If I had to ask for one more thing, having rental bicycles at Hafumo would likely make it easier to get around and expand our range. When we visit Karuizawa again, we would love to stay here again.

I previously stayed at “KKR Kyoto” and liked it very much, so this time I chose “KKR Dogo.” 1) About a 10-minute walk to Dogo Onsen. 2) Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and excellent. After all, one of the best parts of traveling is the food, and I was very satisfied. However, at breakfast I would have appreciated an explanation about getting refills of rice. Overall: five stars.

I was completely satisfied with my stay and truly felt, “I definitely want to stay here again.” First of all, all the staff were incredibly kind, and I was able to spend my time comfortably from arrival to departure. The Room was meticulously maintained and exceptionally clean. The open-air Onsen bath in the Room was a luxurious experience—I could enjoy the Onsen as much as I wanted, whenever I wanted. What stood out most was the outstanding cuisine. It featured an abundance of local ingredients, with such a wide variety that it couldn’t possibly all fit on the menu—and every dish was remarkably delicious. I could really feel the chef’s dedication and care. It was also very helpful that there were EV charging facilities. Being able to charge during my stay gave me peace of mind for the drive the next day. I’d love to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much.

We have stayed here many times, but this was our first time reserving a cottage. Late at night, a large spider appeared, and I became too frightened to feel comfortable staying there, so I spoke with the front desk. The staff were very kind and gladly changed us to an in-house Room. We are deeply grateful for their thoughtful support. Thank you very much.
