This was our second stay. Since our third son (our beloved dog) joined our family five years ago, we only choose Accommodations where we can stay together, so we’ve stayed at many pet-friendly places around the Kanto area. With new Accommodations opening all the time, there are only a few we’ve ever revisited—but this one is exceptionally satisfying, so we returned during the Obon holiday period. With pet-friendly Accommodations, there’s often something you have to compromise on, but this place is almost perfect. The balcony of our guest Room had an open-air Onsen bath, a sauna, a cold plunge bath, and a relaxation area with a shower—plus an open-air bath for dogs. Inside the Room, there was a theater room with two massage chairs and a dining room where you can enjoy meals in your Room. The French cuisine served there is truly delicious. Recently, more and more Accommodations have excellent Facilities, but I don’t know any other place where you can enjoy food of this quality in your Room with your dog. Once again, everything was absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for the best Accommodation to stay with your dog, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our 4-night Multiple Night Stay. This time, we stayed in the “Oryu” Room. First of all, every staff member was incredibly kind and clearly loves animals. Everyone greeted us with a smile, was gentle and attentive, brought anything we needed right away, and did their best to accommodate our requests. I’m truly grateful—your staff deserves more than five stars. Next, the meals. We were told they were prepared in a special-suite style, and both the taste and quality were excellent—high standard, delicious, and thoughtfully varied. Even over several days, we never got tired of them and enjoyed every meal. With longer stays, menus can sometimes become difficult for the kitchen side as well, but you handled everything so carefully. Since I’m also a small eater, you kindly let me choose from the menu and adjusted portion sizes accordingly. This also deserves more than five stars. As mentioned earlier, your care for animals was also very thoughtful and helpful. I visited with both a dog and a cat, and it seemed comfortable for both of them. The hot spring water quality was also wonderful. As for the guest room layout: there is a long corridor between the Room area and the bath area, which felt slightly inconvenient, so I deducted one star there. On the other hand, having an additional Room separate from the main living space made it easy to stay comfortably even when traveling with friends—an excellent design. Regarding amenities: there are no pet amenities provided (so bringing your own is necessary), but having at least a litter box available would be very helpful. The surroundings were also fantastic—like a hidden mountain hamlet. By chance we were able to see “Children’s Kagura,” which has deep history and is clearly cherished by the community. The performers practice extensively (twice a week), and while they are indeed children (apparently ranging from 3rd grade elementary school to 3rd year high school), their performance was outstanding and truly impressive. If your dates happen to coincide with it during your stay nearby, it’s absolutely worth seeing. (It seems Kagura is held several times a year; I’d love to see other performances as well.) I also felt that preserving traditional Japanese festivals like this is part of what makes this area so special—and I think it may become even more well-known in the future. It’s about 30 minutes by car to Yufuin Station, so even on an extended stay you can easily go shopping for necessities. Sightseeing around Yufuin should be convenient as well—and Beppu is also about 30 minutes away via expressway—so overall it feels like an excellent location for travelers who want to explore.

We stayed for three nights with our Golden Retriever. The Room was spacious and clean, and the private dog run made our stay very comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. For meals, we were provided with a private dining room, which was very helpful as we could bring our large dog without worrying about others. The Onsen was also wonderful. We would love to visit again.

We stayed here for a birthday trip, and it truly was a completely satisfying stay. Dinner was top-class in every respect—flavor, presentation, and ingredient quality—and the smoked splendid alfonsino was especially outstanding. They also kindly prepared a special birthday message plate at dinner, which made us very happy. The restaurant service and atmosphere were wonderful as well. The Japanese breakfast the next morning was also high quality, and the presentation using a wooden bento box felt fresh and memorable. The Room was very spacious, and the ocean view from the second floor was breathtaking—sea and sky blending into one. Soaking in the open-air bath (Onsen) while gazing at the moon was an indescribably blissful moment. With no TV intentionally provided, we were able to enjoy a digital detox and fully immerse ourselves in nature. Our daughter loved the pool too, so I highly recommend it for families with children. The lounge bar offered a wide variety of drinks and alcohol, and it was convenient and appreciated that we could bring them back to our Room. We would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed here with a family of five and one dog. Our check-in was a little late, but thank you for accommodating us. We were also very satisfied with the staff member’s courteous explanation at check-in. As for the meals, our whole family worked together and prepared everything smoothly, and we enjoyed it very much. That night, we ended up chatting late into the night as a family and may have had a bit too much to drink. Not only the building itself, but also the dining area, bedrooms, bath, sauna, dog run—everything exceeded our expectations and became a wonderful memory. Next time, we’d like to stay for two nights and three days and relax at a slower pace. Thank you again for everything.

The meals were absolutely delicious. They had a strong local character, and the beautifully presented dishes made the most of the ingredients—we were very satisfied. The open-air bath in the Room was spacious with wonderful water, and the Room was clean and relaxing. Since we stayed on a day with bad weather and couldn’t see a sky full of stars, this is an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again.

We stayed in a villa with our family of four and our Chihuahua. Since it’s a bit away from the main building, we were very satisfied that Shuttle Service was provided each time we needed it. The Room and bath were amazing, and our daughters were excited the whole time! The food quality was excellent—especially the risotto, which was incredibly delicious. We also used the pool and were very satisfied. If I could share just two suggestions: since we traveled with our dog, it would have been nice if the area around the villa had better-maintained paths for walking. Also, while Wi‑Fi was available, we wished the TV had internet access so we could watch Netflix or YouTube. Overall, we were very satisfied. Thank you very much.

As a reward for my eldest daughter’s junior high school entrance exams, I stayed with a mom friend and our children—five females in total. The view from the Accommodation was amazing, both the ocean during the day and the illuminated scenery at night—so open and refreshing. There were generous amounts of welcome snacks, mineral water, alcohol, and amenities provided—it was truly impressive!! The pool was a perfectly sufficient size for what felt like a private pool, and the kids had a great time. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, but we left wishing we could have enjoyed it even more—it was hard to say goodbye. The staff who assisted us were incredibly quick to respond; it really surprised me. Thank you very much. It was a bit of a splurge for our family, but if we have another chance, we would love to stay again.

I stayed here again for the first time in five years. The food and service felt much improved, which was a pleasant surprise. For example, the rice at breakfast was excellent—among the best I’ve had in Yamagata. I also enjoyed chatting with the staff and had a great time. I’d like to visit again soon.

This was our second stay as a couple with our dog. Because it is a private rental house with exterior walls, we didn’t have to worry about the surroundings and were able to relax and enjoy a luxurious time in the Room. For meals, the ingredients were prepared in the refrigerator and we cooked for ourselves, but the recipes made it easy to prepare everything smoothly. We also appreciated that the menu was different on the second night, so we never got bored. The staff were very polite and kind. Even if we had questions, we could reach them by phone, which made us feel at ease throughout our stay. It was also great fun chatting during check-in and check-out. Our dog looked happy from start to finish. It was an Accommodation that makes us want to come back again for sure.

We stayed at an auberge for the first time with our young child. Thank you for your warm consideration for our child, and for preparing gently seasoned dishes such as corn soup, homemade bread, and a hamburger steak. Our child was very happy and enjoyed everything. We enjoyed the course meal and the premium pairing. Every wine paired beautifully with the food, and each one suited our tastes. Each dish was truly delicious; while gently seasoned, the portions were also generous, and we were very satisfied. The Accommodation was kept very clean, and it was a wonderful Facility—spacious enough for an auberge—with comfortable beds and even a jacuzzi. We were able to relax at a leisurely pace, and it is a Hotel we would definitely like to visit again. Because we were traveling with a small child, we may have caused some inconvenience to other guests. We sincerely apologize for that; however, all of the staff treated us warmly, and we are truly grateful. We had a comfortable time as a family, and felt it was a truly wonderful auberge. We would love to return again.

This was my first stay in four years, and I was completely satisfied with everything—the clean Facilities and the thoughtful care from the staff. I could also clearly see your environmental initiatives, and it really felt like you are making a genuine effort. Breakfast was carefully prepared item by item, and the health-conscious dishes were delicious as well. In the evening, since my birthday is next week, my friend ordered champagne via room service, and when the staff member delivering it heard that, they brought me chocolates too. I truly appreciated the kind gesture. I would love to stay again for another special occasion.

I sincerely apologize for my late thank-you. This was our second stay. The front desk location had changed since last time, so I was a little confused at first. After we arrived, you upgraded us from Room KOURAI 202 to Room NOMATSU 403, which was an unexpected and wonderful offer, and we were truly delighted. As it’s the most popular among the staff, it was very spacious, with a beautiful view of the garden from both the bath and the Room—an exceptionally comfortable and calming place to spend time. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and since there was only one other group besides us, we were able to dine in a relaxed atmosphere as well. We also enjoyed visiting nearby Japanese sweets shops—it was great fun. We were deeply moved by how beautifully you filled in our travel memory book too. Done—we will definitely be back again. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

Soaking in the gentle hot water was truly soothing, and the delicious cuisine (the broth was exceptionally good) was a delight. The riverside scenery, including the sand bath, was beautiful as well—an outstanding Accommodation. Above all, the hostess’s hospitality was exceptional. This is an Accommodation I highly recommend and would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. On the second day, our beloved dog suddenly passed away. As a senior dog, we had prepared for the possibility, but it happened so unexpectedly that we had not brought items such as ice packs for bringing him home. The Hotel kindly provided a basket to lay him to rest in, towels, ice packs, and a blanket. We had reserved dinner at the restaurant as well, but thanks to the staff’s thoughtful consideration, they arranged a private room for us. Because there was a thunderstorm, they also drove us to the dining venue by car, allowing us to enjoy one last meal slowly with him by our side. We are truly sorry for any trouble we caused during the busy summer holiday season. Thanks to your support, we were able to return home safely and send him off peacefully. This year’s extreme heat was especially hard on senior dogs, but we are very grateful that he was able to spend his final moments in the cool Nasu Highlands—enjoying his favorite dog run, Onsen time, and delicious meals. This was our first stay here, and I feel it is rare to find a Hotel that can respond so quickly and compassionately in an emergency. We still have two other dogs at home and would love to visit again. Of course, both the meals and the Facility were excellent as well. Thank you very much for all your help during our stay.

We had another very comfortable stay. We were soothed by everyone’s smiles and warm hospitality, the delicious meals, and the Onsen. The large public bath has everything you need, so it’s great that you can go empty-handed—it’s so easy and convenient. The Niagara wine we enjoyed in the lounge was also excellent! It was my sister’s first time at Otaru Furukawa, and she was very satisfied. Thank you as well for taking a two-shot photo of us in front of the Hotel! We usually enjoy a quiet couples’ getaway, but this time we left our car with you before check-in and enjoyed sightseeing in Otaru for the first time in a while. Furukawa is in a wonderful location right by the canal, and the view from our Room was lovely. Kojohama, Jozankei, and Otaru each have their own unique charm, and they’ve made us love Furukawa even more. We would love to visit again.

Despite being reasonably priced, the Facility, Onsen, and meals were all excellent. They also offer Shuttle Service to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station and Onuma-Koen Station, so we were able to enjoy our stay even without a car. The Hotel is also barrier-free, and we saw several guests using wheelchairs, making it a place that guests of all ages can enjoy.

I stayed here four years ago and came back because I was craving soba. The Onsen water still has that silky feel, and it’s as wonderful as ever. This time I enjoyed a Multiple Night Stay and was able to truly relax. The soup curry at breakfast was also delicious, so I bought soba dipping sauce and packaged curry as souvenirs. We laughed remembering how last time we wondered, “Can we get through this way?” and then had to turn back from a dead-end road—classic Hokkaido travel. It really reminded me that eastern Hokkaido has great Onsen Accommodations. I’d love to come again.

We stay here every August with my three sisters’ families. This year we were lucky with the weather and had a great time in the pool, enjoyed table tennis, and both my daughter and grandchildren were very satisfied. They also prepared a private dining room for dinner, so we could eat without worrying even when our 2-year-old grandchild was running around. Of course, the food was delicious. All of the staff were very kind, and we are especially grateful for the service at dinner. We plan to stay again next year.

This was my first trip to Hakodate. There is only one direct flight a day from Nagoya, and I was incredibly lucky to get a ticket. Visiting a new place for the first time is so exciting. The Room had huge floor-to-ceiling windows with a panoramic view of Mt. Hakodate. The space was generous, and the bathtub and sink were spacious as well. The lighting switches were thoughtfully placed throughout, making everything very convenient—it was almost too comfortable! Dinner at Kita Jin (booked separately) was also excellent: premium Genghis Khan in a private room, relaxed and delicious. Breakfast was around 8:00, and we were seated right away. We came without much prior knowledge and were amazed by the variety—and even more by the quality of every dish. My spouse and I travel all over the whole country, and this may have been our best breakfast ever. Personally, I loved the eel snack with tea, dim sum, sashimi, chiffon cake, and egg tarts. What stayed with us most from this trip was meeting so many wonderful people in Hakodate: The kind driver with a great smile on the airport limousine bus. At lunchtime at Lucky Pierrot near the station—busy as it was—a female staff member still let us draw an Ichiban Kuji lottery ticket and gave us a pin badge with a big smile. At NIPPONIA Hotel Hakodate Port Town on our first day—a female staff member kindly explained everything and gave us a hand-drawn illustrated map of nearby spots within walking distance. On an evening sightseeing taxi tour to see Mt. Hakodate’s night view—a female driver born in Hakodate from Donan Taxi carefully explained local history, the Western-style houses in Motomachi, and the origins of Soma-tei. The staff who made our motorboat cruise even more enjoyable under clear skies the next day. At lunch near the station at Uni Specialty Shop Yoichiya—a female employee whose attentiveness and refined service truly impressed us. And above all, at Century Marina’s front desk—the female staff member who kindly explained everything for our first stay left a wonderful impression with her polite service; of course, the male staff member at checkout was also outstanding. The quick yet courteous service at Kita Jin was excellent as well—we are truly grateful to have stayed at this Hotel. It was an intense 2-night/3-day trip to Hakodate, but seeing everyone working so hard to make their city shine really moved us—it looked genuinely inspiring. We will definitely come again. I truly fell in love with historic Hakodate from the bottom of my heart!
