This was my first time staying at TAOYA. The Hotel had a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff provided excellent service, making my stay very comfortable. There was a wide variety of food, and everything was truly delicious. The lounge offerings changed throughout the day, so it always felt fresh no matter when I visited. I will definitely come again.

Thank you very much for preparing a bedwetting sheet for our stay. You also responded promptly to our inquiry at the time of Reservation, which made us feel very reassured. As we were traveling with a small child, your staff’s warm consideration allowed us to relax and enjoy our stay with peace of mind. We are truly grateful. We would love to stay again. We stayed in the Glamping Egg Suite for a birthday trip! As a birthday surprise, we arranged a cake and wine with the help of the Hotel staff. Thanks to their support, it became a truly wonderful birthday memory! Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great, but we still had an amazing time and fully enjoyed our first barrel sauna experience. We’re truly grateful to the Hotel staff—thank you so much!

The meals were delicious, and the portions were just right. The Onsen’s changing area was immediately by the entrance, which made me a little uneasy at first, but it was about the size of a home bath and was well cleaned, so it was nice.

Convenient for visiting any of the public bathhouses. I come to Kinosaki every year, and I’ve stayed at about five places—this is a great Accommodation. The service isn’t over the top; it’s just right, so you can truly relax. The building feels historic, but it has been renovated and is very comfortable with a lovely atmosphere. I’d like to make a Reservation and stay again next year.

We slept on futons in a Japanese-style Room, but it was a stylish space with a modern interior—natural and very clean. The balcony had a gently swaying chair, and there was art on the walls; everything felt really chic. We could also borrow yukata robes and geta sandals. The front desk staff were very kind and gave us clear guidance, including which Onsen baths tend to be crowded. It’s close to both Jizo-yu and Gosho-no-yu, with excellent access to the Onsen town—perfect for visiting multiple public baths. The ropeway and the Onsen town are right in front of you, so you won’t have any trouble finding souvenirs or places to eat. However, there are only a limited number of free parking spaces, and you need to drive along narrow streets crowded with tourists to reach the parking area, so driving can be challenging. We stayed during the Obon holiday period, so even the ropeway parking lot was full and we couldn’t park nearby. Next time, taking the train might be better. For breakfast, we chose a one-plate morning set at the attached café. The latte art looked great for photos, and the interior—with Western movie posters—felt like contemporary art throughout. We stayed as a couple (my husband in his 40s and me in my 30s), and it seems renovated with youthful taste in a Western style that would appeal to inbound international guests—more “JAPAN RYOKAN” than a traditional Ryokan—and we loved it. It felt like an Expo pavilion. Unless you have specific requirements such as needing a mattress bed or an elevator, it’s excellent value for couples. We’d love to come again—thank you very much.

I had a Reservation for the Kasumi Geo Taxi from 8:30, so I left home at 4:30 in the morning. After enjoying the San’in Geopark from the boat, I arrived at the Ryokan early. They kindly let me into my Room a little ahead of time, so I was able to take a nap—truly grateful. That evening, I went to the Kasumi Hometown Festival (the seaside fireworks display), and due to traffic I returned to the Ryokan later than expected, but I was glad I could still use the bath. Since other guests were also going to the fireworks, they thoughtfully extended the bathing hours. As you’d expect from a cuisine-focused Ryokan, breakfast is absolutely delicious—I’m a repeat guest for that reason as well. Above all, every staff member is polite and kind, and their guest-centered care is truly admirable. The clean and well-maintained Ryokan reflects their genuine hospitality. It was a wonderful holiday both physically and mentally. Thank you very much.

There were several bathtubs, and the open-air bath was especially relaxing. At dinner, we enjoyed Echizen grated soba, and the sweetfish tempura—leaving a slight bitterness of the innards—felt perfect for early summer. For dessert, we were even served delicious Fukuian Marseille melon. Breakfast also featured a variety of Fukui specialties and was very enjoyable, and the milk pudding dessert had a refreshing finish. At breakfast, milk, apple juice, iced coffee, hot coffee, and more were available to drink freely. Natto, nori seaweed sheets, and furikake were offered on an “only take what you want” basis. Since some people don’t eat these depending on their preferences—and at other places I’ve wondered what happens when individually wrapped items are served but left untouched—I thought this was a great way to avoid waste. I didn’t need them because there were plenty of side dishes to go with two bowls of white rice. I’d love to visit again in a different season.

This Accommodation was located right in front of Lake Suigetsu. The staff, who were very knowledgeable about the local area, were a pleasure to talk to and provided great service, and the blackthroat seaperch and other local ingredients were truly delicious.

A long-awaited stay at the warehouse complex. I stayed here on a trip with a wine-loving friend. All of the staff were very warm and welcoming, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. At the bar we visited in the evening, they shared some fun facts about Hokkaido wines. What stood out most was how much we enjoyed chatting with the staff. I would love to stay again.

The meals offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything was delicious. The staff were kind, and the bath was great. The bath amenities included both body soap and a menthol option, which was especially appreciated in this hot season. There was also a proper hair dryer in the bath area, and we could really feel their thoughtful care. We stayed with our pet, and the owner clearly explained the rules and precautions, which made everything easy to understand. We had a very pleasant stay. Thank you very much.

From the moment we checked in, we were truly touched by your warm, thoughtful hospitality. We had dinner at the terrace restaurant, and everything was delicious. I planned to pile up on the Häagen-Dazs from the buffet, but everything else was so good that I could only manage one scoop... The French toast that gets great Review is a must-try. We will definitely visit again.

My wife, son, and I traveled from Nagoya with our dog. We followed the navigation via the Chuo Expressway, got off at Azusagawa IC, and after that there was almost nothing along the local roads—no gas stations—until we finally found one near the Accommodation. After arriving, we presented our dog’s various certificates at reception to check in. The staff were very kind. The first place we were shown was the café lounge: unlimited soft drinks, ice cream, and even alcohol (as much as available?!). There were also 4–5 kinds of dog treats prepared, which felt like a great perk for guests. Next to the café lounge there was also a pet shower room. What surprised me was that other guests also said they couldn’t smell any “pet odor,” and I hadn’t noticed it either—it really didn’t bother us at all. However, the smoking room is located around the center of the 2nd floor, and the cigarette smell inside that room was… quite strong. This time we stayed in a Japanese-style room because no Western-style rooms were available. At reception we were told that if our dog soiled any bedding we would be charged a cleaning fee, so we put our dog in diapers. Thanks to that nothing got dirty—but in an unexpected twist, my son got a nosebleed and stained the sheets. We weren’t charged anything, but I’m very sorry about that. Changing topics: Both dinner and breakfast were buffet style. For dinner we could choose 17:30 or 19:00; for breakfast 7:00 or 8:00. Everything was satisfying overall; alcoholic drinks are available for an additional charge. The bath is an Onsen open from 15:00 to 22:00, and in the morning from 5:00 to 10:00. There is an outdoor dog run with facilities and a washing area, plus towels for wiping paws. There is also an indoor one on the second floor. Stepping outside into such clear air helped me forget about work for a while, and we made wonderful memories with our dog and family. We’d love to come again! On the way back we headed toward Okaya IC on local roads before returning to Nagoya; from this Accommodation to Okaya IC the roads were well paved, and there are places like Suwa Taisha Shrine (Suwa Grand Shrine), Utsukushigahara Highlands (Plateau), roadside stations (Michi-no-Eki), etc., so it’s easy to make stops along the way. The route on our way there wasn’t as convenient—so next time we’ll come via Okaya IC. To Oedo Onsen Wanwan Resort Shinshu Ueda Team: Thank you for giving us such great memories.

It was a very comfortable Room. The seafood dishes were also excellent. The bath was clean and we enjoyed it. After checking out, I realized I had forgotten my hat and called; they helped me, and it arrived at my home the next day. It became a wonderful memory. I will visit again.

The Facility is old, but it was clean. We were very satisfied with the meals, and the all-you-can-drink alcohol option was great.

Recommended by a gourmet friend, I stayed at this accommodation. Having lived in Eastern Hokkaido before, I had visited the surrounding area often but was not very familiar with Lake Kussharo. Curious about the place, I decided to visit and was immediately impressed by the stunning mountain views from the lodge. The rare snowfall for this region added to its charm this year. The experience of checking in via canoe or snowshoe from Lake Kussharo was truly memorable. The accommodation building featured facilities such as a sauna, cold bath, and barrel bath. It was delightful to cool off while enjoying the snowy scenery after using the sauna. For the first time, I also experienced tending a fireplace with firewood, which allowed me to spend mindful and relaxing moments. The meals were Chinese-inspired cuisine and absolutely delicious! The chef skillfully prepared luxurious ingredients like abalone and shark fin for an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you for kindly preparing additional mapo tofu as well—it was fantastic! Breakfast was equally exceptional. While having dinner, it started snowing outside; we appreciated how staff thoughtfully cleared snow just before we returned to our room in the accommodation building. Although it would be nice if improvements could be made regarding some minor points—such as whether or not the baths are onsen or addressing slight odors in rooms with toilets and showers—the overall experience far outweighed these small concerns. It left such an impression that I ended up making a summer reservation before leaving! This place is truly remarkable—I look forward to visiting again during another season for more unique experiences. Thank you so much for providing such precious memories!

This was my second visit to Kinosaki Onsen. It was my first time staying at this Accommodation, and everything—the Room, the baths, the meals, and the service—was outstanding. I love Onsen and have stayed at many Accommodations, but it’s rare to find one that deserves top marks across the board. It became a wonderful memory. This is an Accommodation I’d love to visit again.

With our 2- and 4-year-old sons, we often have to be extra careful when traveling, but at this Accommodation we were able to enjoy meals and bathing without worrying about others thanks to the in-Room dining Plan and the private bath. We were told it was a mountain-side Room with no ocean view, but a staff member mentioned that “you may be able to see storks from the window,” and our animal-loving kids happily enjoyed the view from the window. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and we were glad as a couple that we could eat at a relaxed pace. All of the staff were kind to our children as well, and we would definitely like to stay here again when we visit Kinosaki!

We chose this place because we wanted to enjoy live Matsuba crab, and it was exactly what we hoped for. The course included a comparison with Seiko crab, and we were very satisfied. They also kindly explained how to eat everything in detail. When we mentioned we couldn’t finish the final rice porridge, they prepared it for breakfast the next morning. Because it was cold outside, we used the private family bath. You fill it yourself, and I liked it so much I went in twice. The water was wonderfully silky and soothing. At checkout, we were happy to receive a souvenir of freshly grilled chikuwa, but above all, we were truly satisfied with the landlady’s fun conversation, warm smile, and heartfelt hospitality.

The dinner and breakfast were both delicious, and the view was wonderful. The Room was very spacious, and I loved the interior design—it was lovely. The washroom is large, with plenty of counter space to place clothes and other items, making it very convenient. Even though it was a weekday, we were lucky to be able to see fireworks. I highly recommend this place.
