From the welcoming staff to the front desk team, Room guidance, and dining staff, everyone was courteous and made us feel truly comfortable. The Room was clean, and both the indoor bath and open-air bath were very relaxing. Each dish was beautifully prepared—from seasoning to presentation—and everything was delicious. Thank you for giving us such a soothing time on this trip with friends. Next time, we would love to visit again with our family.

Once again, our stay at Futari Komorebi was filled with joy. Over these two days, we were reminded how wonderful and comforting it is that the most important things never change. This was our third stay. We stayed with three families, including our sons. They kindly provided a large banquet room so we could have dinner together, and we enjoyed a lively, wonderful meal. As always, we were impressed by the heartfelt dishes made with seasonal ingredients. Thanks to the attentive service down to the smallest details, we had a very comfortable stay. As expected of Kamenoi Bessou.

We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of four nights. Above all, this Accommodation is truly pet-friendly. We visited with both a dog and a cat, and they both seemed relaxed and happy. There were plenty of amenities for dogs and cats, plus facilities such as a dog run. We could stay with peace of mind, and all the staff clearly love animals, which made our time here even more special. The Japanese staff were wonderful as expected, and the international staff were also incredibly polite—so much so that we initially thought they were Japanese—always with warm smiles. It gave us the sense that the training and working environment here must be excellent. The staff deserve more than five stars. Meals are à la carte, so you can choose whatever you like each day in any amount you want. This was especially appreciated during our Multiple Night Stay, and everything was consistently above average in taste. They offer a great balance of both Japanese and Western dishes, so we never got bored. Every day was delicious. Alcohol at night at the bar, as well as drinks in the Room refrigerator, are included, which is very reassuring for those who enjoy drinking. In addition, 30 minutes of spa treatment per day was included; I even received a massage and felt truly healed. The Room was neither too large nor too small—just right for two people—and it was well designed and easy to use. The hot spring water left our skin smooth and glossy; it was excellent. Both the indoor bath and open-air bath are fed directly from the source (free-flowing), and we could adjust both volume and temperature using only the natural spring water. It’s pure luxury. These days many Hotels or Ryokan only allow smoking in designated areas, so being able to smoke on our private terrace attached to the Room is something smokers will really appreciate, especially if you want to have a drink on the terrace while enjoying a cigarette. Because the terrace is surrounded by high walls, our cat could also go for walks there safely. Cats tend to run off easily, so it’s rare to let them stroll freely—this was another great point. Our cat looked completely at ease. It was our first time visiting Kikuchi City. There are many wonderful places nearby including Kikuchi Gorge, and Aso is less than an hour away by car, making sightseeing very convenient. Since there is a university stable near this Accommodation, there may occasionally be a slight animal smell, but that isn’t an issue caused by this Accommodation itself. And since this is an Accommodation that pet lovers choose specifically because they travel with animals, I think it’s simply something not to worry about (it didn’t bother me). This is a fantastic Accommodation where you can truly relax with your pets. Thank you very much.

This time, I stayed in a Heritage balcony Room. I wondered if it might be too hot this season, but the evening breeze was pleasant, and I was able to relax with drinks from room service. For dinner, I dined at Toh-Ka-Lin, and the next morning I had breakfast at Nouvelle Epoque. Everything—from delicious dining to the gym, spa, and pool—was available within the Hotel, so I could truly unwind and enjoy a genuinely luxurious stay. The entire property was clean and quiet throughout, and the staff’s hospitality struck the perfect balance: not too close or too distant, yet always attentive with thoughtful care. An unexpected issue came up during my stay, but even then the Hotel team responded with kindness and meticulous consideration. It reminded me once again of how exceptional Japanese Hotels are—especially Okura. I would love to visit again.

This was our first stay here. Although we originally planned to come by car and had to switch to the train at short notice, you still picked us up at the scheduled time. The Room was just the right size for two people, and we also appreciated how clean it was. There were plenty of amenities and many complimentary drinks, so we were able to relax and take our time. Each dish was carefully prepared, and combined with dining in a private room, it felt truly luxurious. Everything tasted excellent. We enjoyed the chocolates served at the end of dinner during our morning coffee time. The late-night snack was also refined and delicious. The bath required adjusting the temperature, but that actually allowed us to set it exactly how we liked it, which was great. As it is a sulfur hot spring, there was a faint scent that lingered after bathing, but it wasn’t too strong—just enough to feel its benefits. Breakfast was also delicious: kamameshi cooked with dashi with slightly indulgent side dishes, all thoughtfully prepared. Overall, we were truly satisfied with our stay.

While looking for a Hotel near Churaumi Aquarium, I chose this Accommodation because it had excellent Reviews on every site I checked. We stayed in a family Room, and it was spacious and spotless—our kids were thrilled the moment they saw it! Since you take off your shoes before entering, it felt very clean, which we really appreciated. The bath area was also clean, and as a family that loves bathing, having a large public bath was a big plus. The morning bath felt wonderful too. We had both dinner and breakfast at the buffet. Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious. We had buffets at Resort Hotels on the two previous days as well, but the Okinawan dishes here—such as umi-budo (sea grapes), Okinawa soba, goya champuru, and tacos—were the best at Litt Hotel Nakijin. There was also sashimi, and the seafood rice bowl was excellent! The staff were kind, and we were completely satisfied with everything about this Hotel. When we visit Okinawa again, we would definitely like to stay here again. I’m glad we could spend our last night of our Okinawa trip at such a wonderful Hotel. Thank you very much!

This was my second stay. Last time, I stayed during a snowy season, so this time I was able to relax until dinner and fully enjoy the sight of green trees swaying and the gentle calls of evening cicadas from my clean, refined Room. The meals here are delicious both in the morning and in the evening, with plenty of vegetables. Of course, the fish and meat were also excellent—everything was flawless. Above all, the staff’s smiles were wonderful, and their service was attentive and professional, which made me feel truly happy. I will definitely come back to stay again when I have time. We stayed here as three generations, traveling with my parents-in-law. Before our stay, I contacted the Accommodation twice to ask whether our Rooms could be on the same floor, whether we could dine in the same venue, and about meals for the children. Both times, the staff responded courteously, which made us feel at ease on the day of arrival. As this is a long-established Ryokan, the building is not new, but it has a calm atmosphere that suited my parents-in-law perfectly. Some wallpaper in parts of the Room was peeling, and perhaps due to a special type of wallpaper there was some fuzz that seemed to float around, but overall the Room was relatively clean. The meals were kaiseki-style and just the right amount; our family enjoyed them very much. The staff also explained each dish carefully, making it a truly pleasant dining experience. There was also an excellent selection of alcoholic drinks. When traveling with children we often end up choosing buffet-style dining elsewhere, so it was a great experience for them to enjoy kaiseki cuisine as well. In the lounge, perhaps because it is open to non-staying guests too, all seats were taken at first; once seats became available they called our Room via internal phone so we could use it. We were able to spend relaxing time together as a family. As for the Onsen, there is nothing to complain about—the water quality was wonderful and the large public bath was clean. Overall, I felt that the high level of hospitality from all staff members is what drives guest satisfaction here. The Facility itself may not stand out compared with other Ryokan in every respect, but their hospitality more than makes up for it. Thank you very much.

We had the pleasure of enjoying the private dinner Plan at Soro Residence. The cuisine was not only delicious, but each dish was beautifully presented like a work of art. The flowers arranged to match the dishes and the floral decorations throughout the Room were truly wonderful, creating a special space that felt extraordinary. The wine pairing was also exceptional—each time we paired a sip of wine after a bite, both were elevated, and we were repeatedly moved by how much the flavors opened up. In addition, all staff provided warm and attentive hospitality from start to finish, allowing us to spend a comfortable and luxurious time. Thank you very much for an unforgettable experience.

This was my first stay here. From the atmosphere throughout the Accommodation to the service, thoughtful hospitality, and meals—everything was flawless in sight, aroma, and taste. It was a truly delicious and enjoyable time. The Onsen is compact, but the water quality is excellent and left my skin silky smooth. This was our first time staying in Sengokuhara. The interior of the building felt darker than we expected. It felt very private, and we did not encounter any other guests at all during our stay. The meals were just the right amount for us and were very delicious. Above all, the in-Room Onsen was wonderful, and we enjoyed it many times. Having steps installed inside the bathtub made it very easy to use for someone with mobility issues. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. Thank you for all your thoughtful care and attention. We will look forward to staying again and will get through our daily life with that in mind.

During my Kyushu trip in mid-June, I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights) in the “Chikurintei—Panoramic Open-Air Bath (Japanese-Western Room)” nestled within Mifuneyama Rakuen’s vast grounds. I stayed in the “Yamazakura” Room, which offered views of Mt. Mifune from the corridor and garden, and even had a private gate with direct access to Mifuneyama Rakuen. The open-air bath is a standing-style bath set among trees. It creates a unique floating sensation, and because the water pressure is applied evenly over the whole body, I felt less fatigue afterward. Being able to enjoy the garden and sky while standing also adds to the wonderful sense of openness. The Onsen water is clear and colorless—an alkaline simple spring—with an exceptionally gentle feel on the skin, so I never tired of soaking. The indoor bath is heated groundwater, but I also enjoyed it: the hinoki tub was very comfortable, and it didn’t take long to fill. What stood out most was the outstanding quality of dinner. The kaiseki course featuring seasonal local ingredients such as Takezaki crab immediately draws you in with its dashi—clear yet deeply flavorful, beautifully balanced. Each dish reflected the season in both taste and presentation: refined and truly beautiful. Beyond ingredient quality alone, there was a confident simplicity backed by real skill. Even on a Multiple Night Stay, every meal was flawless at an exceptional level. Simply superb—thank you for such a feast. Another highlight was visiting teamLab’s art installations at the affiliated Mifuneyama Rakuen Hotel on the same grounds (guests of Chikurintei can enter free). From the moment you step into the lobby, you’re struck by countless lamps evoking forest flowers and sunlight filtering through trees. The most breathtaking work was “Megalis in Ruins Bathhouse,” where digital projections of seasonal flowers illuminate massive stones rising throughout an abandoned public-bath space. When we visited, different scenes cycled continuously—twelve distinct visuals representing all months—and we became fully immersed for about an hour until they completed one full round late at night before closing. Also worth mentioning: the cold-brew coffee served in the lounge area was delicious—I refilled it many times and enjoyed it back in my Room as well. To everyone at “Oyado Chikurintei,” thank you sincerely for creating such a wonderful stay. I will absolutely return when I visit Takeo Onsen again.

First of all, the dining was outstanding. We tried the French, teppanyaki, and sushi restaurants, and everything was perfect. If these were in a city, each would be a hugely popular spot. All the staff were kind, and you can really feel their dedication to welcoming guests. The Room had a large glass wall facing the ocean, and we had an amazing time on the balcony—enjoying coffee while looking out at the sea and having breakfast there as well. The pool is generously sized, so you can swim properly. We enjoyed going back and forth between the pool and the jacuzzi in the bath area all day long. It truly felt like paradise at this Hotel. We plan to return many times.

It was two days full of surprise and inspiration. I only knew it was a museum Hotel, and to be honest, I came mainly for Briance—but it truly felt like an actual museum. Even while exploring the building, the staff kindly provided detailed explanations, which made it even more enjoyable. Every piece is one of a kind, and through the art tour program we also received in-depth commentary. I understood why so many guests return again and again, and it made me want to explore even more myself. The Room was very comfortable and easy to use, the lounge food was delicious, and even though we had dinner at Briance—the original purpose of our visit—we ended up fully enjoying the bar and lounge as well. The wonderful smiles and thoughtful hospitality from all the staff were outstanding, allowing us to spend a truly relaxing holiday. Thank you very much. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed Briance as well.

This was our first time visiting on a family trip. Thanks to the staff’s heartfelt hospitality, we felt comfortable throughout our stay and are truly grateful. I hadn’t visited Arima Onsen for quite some time since the COVID-19 pandemic, but if I was going to return after so long, I wanted an exceptional place for both cuisine and Onsen—so I decided to splurge on this Accommodation. I had known the name Kinzan for years, but everything was far beyond my expectations, and my mother was absolutely delighted as well. This time we fully enjoyed the live conger eel kaiseki along with the Onsen, and if possible, we’d love to visit again during crab season.

We visited with my son’s family. Traveling with our 8-month-old baby, we had some concerns, but even though we made Reservations for two Rooms on different dates, the staff kindly arranged for us to dine together and showed thoughtful care in many situations, which made our stay truly enjoyable. Thank you very much—it became a wonderful memory. My son’s family also said they would like to come again, and we hope to visit again as well.

This Accommodation, Sagamiya, was a wonderful place where we could truly feel traditional Japanese hospitality. As soon as we arrived by car, the staff noticed us right away and came out to assist, kindly helping us park with ease. They guided us to our Room, and the attendant came to greet us and made tea for us. These days we often stay at more Western-style Hotels, so it was a pleasure to enjoy this Japanese-style hospitality again after a long time. We enjoyed a delicious in-room meal in the tatami Room with a lovely view. The open-air bath in the Room was also excellent, and even one night was enough to leave us feeling fully refreshed. All of the staff were very pleasant. We also appreciated the many thoughtful touches throughout our stay—it felt reassuring that experienced staff could make good judgments on the spot. We would love to visit again.
