Dinner featured local dishes such as kiritanpo hot pot and bear meat. There was no sliced sashimi, but the DIY seafood mixed rice was delicious. Late-night snack: tantan ramen. I was completely full. 　They also offer a Shuttle Service from Tazawako Station, and they kindly explained the available time slots. 　However, the bicycle rental at Lake Tazawa was terrible. Even though the road was closed due to a landslide, they said it was still possible to go around. When I came back, they insisted they “didn’t know anything” and acted as if it wasn’t their problem. They refunded the rental fee—then grabbed the cash I handed over and wouldn’t let go, threatening me in a harsh voice: “You rode it for some time—are you saying you won’t pay?” Other rental bike users I passed on the way (a Japanese person and a white woman) may also have been pressured into paying. When I explained what happened at the tourist information center, they said, “We have informed them about road closures and reopenings.”

Although the facilities felt a bit dated, the breakfast was excellent, everything was clean, and I was able to relax. The Hotel staff were very pleasant, and I would like to stay again. I wish there had been a shower cap among the amenities.

It was my second stay, and it was great. I look forward to staying again if I have the chance.

I was able to relax and unwind without a care. The Onsen was a comfortable size, and I wished I’d had time to use the sauna as well—it made me want to stay again. The only small concern was that the shower pressure in the room was too weak, but I’m very grateful to the staff for kindly helping with item loans and other requests with a smile. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Iki.

Thank you as always for your continued support. With its great location, excellent breakfast, and this price point, Hotel Kansai is the only Accommodation I consider in Osaka. And when I happen to catch a “niku-sui day,” it absolutely makes my day. I plan to keep staying here in the future. However, something disappointing lately… it seems the incredibly delicious pork miso soup at breakfast has gone back to the original regular miso soup. Personally, I wouldn’t mind if the breakfast price were raised further—I’d really like it to be pork miso soup again.

I stayed here on a business trip. It was my first time using a capsule hotel in a while. The capsules are an older style, but everything was kept clean and I had a comfortable stay. There is also a large public bath and a sauna, which made it even more satisfying. Above all, I was impressed that breakfast was included at this price (and it was delicious). I would like to stay here again on my next business trip.

We stayed here as a family of three during the summer holidays. I often visit the Chunichi Building, and the 7th-floor restaurants and observation terrace have long been favorite spots, so I wanted to stay at the Hotel as well. The view from the front desk was wonderful—you can overlook Sakae and even see as far as Nagoya. Depending on the Room, you may get that same view, but our Room faced the opposite side, with views toward landmarks such as Higashiyama Tower. Even so, it was still a great view and we enjoyed it fully. As it is a new Hotel, we were very satisfied with both the design and comfort. The Room and bathroom were spacious, allowing us to relax comfortably. We also appreciated how crafts showcasing artisan techniques from the Tokai and Hokuriku regions were incorporated throughout. In particular, I love Arimatsu shibori dyeing, so I was happy to see it used for items such as cushion covers in both the front desk area and our Room. My husband used the bar and said it was great. We felt this is an Accommodation we could confidently recommend to international guests as well. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

I usually stay for two nights, but this time I stayed for one night and was still able to relax at a comfortable pace. The beautiful hot spring left my skin glowing and smooth. With the carefully prepared meals, I felt I could spend my time in a healthy way. Next time, I’d like to stay for two nights and take it even slower.

I made a Reservation because of the highly praised meals. It was great to have plenty of sashimi, and I also ordered extra kibinago sashimi. Even without any add-ons, both the quality and quantity were satisfying. From the Room, you get an unobstructed view of Kagoshima Bay and the Osumi Peninsula! It would have been even better if the open-air bath were right by the sea, but the Onsen itself is excellent, so I can live with it. During my stay, the shared sand-steaming bath was under renovation, but they kindly guided me to a Facility at a nearby Hotel instead, which was very helpful. This should definitely be on your list when visiting Ibusuki.

Stayed for a family birthday trip. The accommodation had a charming, retro atmosphere that felt like stepping back into the Showa era. There were various rest areas throughout the accommodation, perfect for relaxing with a book or simply unwinding. The retro-style chairs were very comfortable, and even the scent carried an old-fashioned charm reminiscent of the past. Some rooms were located quite far from the bath area, making it feel like navigating a maze at times. In winter, the hallways seemed like they could get very cold. A few minutes' walk from the accommodation was an exclusive bathing area for guests featuring five private semi-open-air baths and one non-private semi-open-air bath. It might be challenging to visit in bad weather, but we went both in the evening and morning to enjoy 100% natural hot spring water that kept our bodies warm—truly excellent Onsen water! However, some parts of the bathtubs and floors had sharp textures due to mineral deposits from the Onsen water, so caution was needed (laughs). The large open-air baths offered three temperature options: cold-feeling lukewarm, very lukewarm, and very hot—but unfortunately none at just-right temperatures. Dinner by an irori hearth was delicious; however, it could get smoky so clothing care is advised. All staff members were warm and provided excellent hospitality throughout our stay!

We chose the more affordable kaiseki option, but with self-serve refills of rice, drinks, and soup at both breakfast and dinner, we were completely satisfied. The facilities were within expectations, and for that price we have no complaints. They also kindly helped us with an unexpected issue—we’ll definitely be back.

I stayed here during my business trip to Okinawa Main Island. Positive points: - Breakfast had a wide variety and was delicious. - Convenient location and excellent Facility. - Outstanding service. Negative point: - Water pressure in the shower. Apart from the water heating issue, everything was perfect. I will stay here again!

I stay here every year as my regular Accommodation. Overall, I’m satisfied, but I was very disappointed to find that the morning newspaper service had been discontinued. I have chosen this Accommodation as my regular place mainly for the meals and the newspapers, so if possible, I would appreciate it if you could resume offering two papers—Asahi Shimbun and either Nikkei or a sports newspaper. Thank you.

This was my second stay. The building is old, but the Room was clean and well maintained. There is a large public bath and even massage chairs, so I think it offers excellent value for money. The breakfast selection isn’t very large, but everything was very tasty. It’s also close to the station, and there’s a convenience store and a fairly large supermarket within walking distance, so it’s suitable even for longer stays. It’s very quiet at night and the area feels safe. All of the staff were very kind. I would love to stay again.

It had been a while since my last visit, and the first floor had been renovated—the front desk and restaurant were both beautifully refreshed. It was lively over the weekend, but the 4th-floor guest room level was calm, so I could relax. The complimentary cold mineral water and hand towel were especially appreciated in the heat!

This Hotel is conveniently located and easy to use for getting anywhere.

The food—especially the special kaiseki course—was excellent. The staff were very attentive, and the timing of each dish being served was perfect. The sunset was also beautiful. I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much.\n(However, there was only one elevator, which was a bit inconvenient.)

A last-minute trip to Fukui. We stayed at Mayu-san’s Accommodation for one night, and they took great care of us. We originally made a Reservation simply because we wanted to visit a gravel beach and this was the only available place nearby, but it exceeded our expectations in the best way!! Since we had been playing at the beach, we headed straight to the bath right after check-in. There are four washing stations, and from the tub you can look out over the Sea of Japan. In the women’s bath, there were about six types of shampoo and conditioner to choose from—such a thoughtful touch! Dinner was what we had been looking forward to: an incredible boat platter packed with fresh sashimi. We actually said out loud, “Is this really for two people?!” The selection may vary by day, but everything was extremely fresh and delicious. Even though we visited in August, we also got to enjoy crab. When I asked later, I was told that Echizen crab in winter is even better—now I’m already excited. And just when we thought we couldn’t eat another bite, they served one whole fried flounder per person—what a surprise!! Rice refills were free as well. It was also great that we could enjoy everything in our Room. After dinner they laid out our futons for us, and our family of three—completely full—immediately sprawled out flat (laugh). There was only one small thing I noticed: At lights-out, it would have been nice to have a nightlight or bedside lamp! If there actually was one and I missed it, sorry about that! We also had breakfast in our Room the next morning. The grilled mackerel was honestly some of the best I’ve ever had!! Ah… I want to eat it again. The proprietress and staff were all truly cheerful and kind—we really felt their warmth. They took care of everything so efficiently that we had no inconveniences during our stay. Everything was kept very clean throughout as well, making it a comfortable stay. Since it took us over four hours each way from Nara, one night felt too short—I wanted more time to enjoy Fukui’s seafood. We’ll definitely be back!! Thank you so much for your hospitality.

We chose this Hotel for our long-awaited trip to Takachiho. The staff welcomed us warmly, and we were deeply moved when they sang local folk songs during breakfast and dinner. The meals were thoughtfully prepared using ingredients from Takachiho, and my husband and I were touched throughout our stay. It seemed there were Japanese bush warblers in the mountain beside the Hotel, and in the morning I woke to their beautiful song. I lay in bed for a while just listening, feeling an indescribable happiness down to my very core. The Room was spacious with a great layout, and it was incredibly comfortable—we even talked about how we’d love to arrange our own Room like this! We would definitely love to stay here again.

Although we arrived a little late for check-in, the hostess kindly welcomed us, and we were able to relax and recover from our fatigue in the Onsen. The Room was also comfortable—we just wish we had arrived a bit earlier to take our time. We would like to stay again.
