Less than a 20-minute drive from Uwajima Station, the property is set in a lush green valley with wonderfully clear air. The calm, attentive staff handle everything from reception to table service. Meals feature creative dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, beautifully presented and just the right amount for someone with a small appetite like me. For drinks, you can enjoy an affordable three-glass tasting set of both wine and sake. The Onsen was quite hot, so I couldn’t soak for long (laugh). It was also a bit disappointing that early-morning bathing wasn’t available.

We stayed here for a Multiple Night Stay about a week ago. The Room was the perfect size for two, with simple yet refined interiors and a very clean feel. The bath was made of wood, so we were able to enjoy a relaxing and wonderful soak without even going to an Onsen. Since our Room had a kitchen, we cooked and ate ingredients we bought at a roadside station. In the beautifully maintained garden with great views, there were benches and tables, so we had breakfast there and truly enjoyed it while feeling close to nature—it was very satisfying. At night, we could also gaze at Aso’s quiet, beautiful starry sky. What made our stay even better was how wonderful the owner is as a person. They were genuinely kind and thoughtfully suggested travel plans in Kumamoto and Miyazaki tailored to us. They also introduced us to truly delicious restaurants and lovely places that you can’t find in guidebooks or on Instagram. (Actually, during our trip in Aso I lost my engagement ring, and because on the last day we returned to Aso after visiting Takachiho Gorge, we were able to go to the recommended bakery and Oshitoishi Hill—and miraculously, I found my engagement ring!) The rice balls made from their carefully selected rice were also exceptional. Thank you for giving us such wonderful memories in Aso. We would love to stay again!

[Hospitality & Service] The Facility staff were kind, friendly, easy to talk to, and truly wonderful. When the fire wouldn’t light, they helped right away, and the next morning they even came over to check on us. From check-in to check-out, their warm and refreshing service made us feel great throughout our stay. (I could tell the moment we arrived that the staff were genuinely nice—haha.) [Room] Both inside and outside the Room were unbelievably clean. The bath was spacious and relaxing, and the air conditioning worked perfectly—“comfortable” is exactly the right word. *My friend said the floor in the Room was so clean, cool, and pleasant that he slept on it even though there was a bed—lol.* Everything we used within the Facility was spotless, so you can really tell how much care goes into every detail. [Other] I honestly have no complaints at all, but if I had to mention just three things: 1) It might be nice to have a TV or something in the Facility? → Since you can enjoy BBQ until night, I personally didn’t need one because it’s great just soaking up the atmosphere—but some guests might head back to their Room earlier. 2) The reception location (at check-in) → It’s not particularly hard to find, but since reception is on the opposite side of the main road, having a sign or clearer guidance might help. (There was information online.) 3) This is such a great Facility that I’d love for you to upload more photos!!! → It was even better than what I expected from the listing photos, so I ended up being pleasantly surprised and very satisfied. [Finally] This time I happened to see “Hikone Lakeside Resort KOMOREVILLAGO” recommended and made a Reservation—but it made me want it to become more well-known because it’s such a place worth supporting. It feels like it will keep developing further as well, so I’m really looking forward to what’s next—haha. I know it must be tough at times, but I hope you keep going strong. Thank you for providing such a comfortable space!!

We stayed as a family of four, including a couple and two children. The staff were very courteous and made our stay extremely enjoyable. We appreciated them preparing fishing bait for us and cooking the fish we caught. Each dish was incredibly delicious, though dinner portions seemed slightly small for the men in our group. Next time, we would love to stay for two nights during the pool season.

It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but the scenery along the way is so beautiful that getting there is truly enjoyable. The moment I arrived at the Accommodation and stepped inside, I was genuinely moved by the wonderful atmosphere. Everywhere you look feels like a scene from a drama or novel—surrounded by beautiful architecture and furnishings, I was able to fully enjoy an extraordinary escape. The entire property was also impeccably clean, making my stay extremely comfortable. From my Room, I could gaze out at lush greenery, and the soothing sound of the river was so relaxing that I found myself listening for ages and losing track of time. The baths are private-use only (a large bath and a smaller bath), so I never had to share with other guests. Being able to soak in complete privacy and unwind without any hesitation was something I truly appreciated. And as for the meals—I chose a Plan with both dinner and breakfast included, and both were absolutely outstanding. For dinner, we went to Otowasanso for kaiseki cuisine. Not only was everything beautifully presented, but the dashi flavors were exceptional; I was continuously impressed from start to finish by these delicate dishes unique to Japan. The attendant who explained each course was warm and attentive throughout, which made it an especially happy experience. Breakfast was served on the second floor of Meitokuan. Freshly cooked rice, rolled omelet, grilled salmon, miso soup—each item was simple yet carefully prepared, leaving me feeling satisfied in both body and mind. Both dinner and breakfast were so wonderful that I honestly wished those moments would never end. If you stay at this Accommodation, I highly recommend choosing a Plan that includes both dinner and breakfast—you won’t regret it. Lastly, this was truly a lovely Accommodation filled with thoughtful attention to detail and heartfelt hospitality beyond what I can fully describe. I would love to visit again. To everyone who took care of us during our stay—thank you very much.

We visited as a family trip. Because we arrived late, we checked in, picked up the welcome sweets, took a look at our Room, and then headed to the Onsen. The outdoor bath “Shirogane-no-Yu” was wonderful—my skin felt so moisturized! We stayed in a Villa Suite. It’s a log-cabin cottage style Accommodation, and the Room was spacious, very clean, and truly relaxing. There aren’t any paintings or decorations in the Room, but the sky, mountains, and trees seen through the window feel like a framed work of art—I could watch it forever (laugh). It made me realize how long it had been since I lived without thinking about time. For dinner we went to Restaurant Aoyama Ryokusui. You can enjoy dishes that reflect Oze’s nature, such as game meat and wild mountain vegetables. Even while waiting for the next course, staff brought ingredients to show us, so we enjoyed the time between dishes as well. Before bed we went to another Onsen inside the Facility. We were told it uses the same water as Shirogane-no-Yu, and it was perfect for a slow soak at night. The next morning we drove to Shiori Pass to see Takigumo (waterfall clouds). We were lucky enough to see them! Waking up early was worth it. It’s just a short drive from the Facility, so I highly recommend it. Breakfast included seasonal vegetables and wild mountain plants as well as river fish—and above all, the rice was delicious! Many of the staff are young, but everyone was polite and greeted us with warm smiles, which helped us relax throughout our stay. If you arrive earlier there also seems to be a kitchen tour; I’d love to join next time if I have the chance. Honestly, my only thought is that I wish we could have stayed longer… We definitely want to come back!

I’d been looking forward to the opening of La Vista Minami Aso and stayed during the pre-opening period. The previous Hotel also offered a magnificent, expansive view of Mt. Aso, and while that scenery remains unchanged, the interiors and Facility have been completely renewed. I was able to fully enjoy Aso in comfort—from the spacious lobby and Room to the baths. A few small notes: For the welcome drink in the lobby after check-in, I had coffee, but it would be even better if beer were available earlier (not only from 6:00 p.m.) and if decaf coffee were offered. As for dining, dinner was a La Vista–style course meal and breakfast was a buffet. Both featured many ingredients from Kumamoto Prefecture, and everything was delicious. I’d be happy if the breakfast buffet had a slightly wider dessert selection. The baths were wonderful as well—great views of Aso from the large public bath, plus private baths and a sauna. The post-bath ice cream and massage chairs were also a nice touch. It was disappointing that the probiotic milk drinks (Yakult) ran out quickly during my morning bath. The late-night ramen service common to Kyoritsu Resort was delicious (if I may be indulgent, I’d love it if there were two varieties like in Kirishima). Since it was during the pre-opening period, there may have been some areas where staff were still getting used to things; however, their sincere effort really came through. Wishing you all the best toward the grand opening. I’d love to stay again.

This was my third stay, and it was just as amazing as ever! In a wonderful space, we could truly enjoy delicious food, and the hospitality was outstanding—an Accommodation that makes you want to come back every year. In fact, we really do visit every year. Haha. We’re already looking forward to next year! Thank you very much.

I stayed here the night before a golf outing the next day. It was my first time, so I was a bit anxious, but the front desk staff were very kind and courteous, which was a great help. Both the Room and bathroom were thoroughly cleaned and felt very fresh, and there was also a sauna bath, so I could relax and enjoy my stay. If I have the opportunity, I would like to stay here again.

We chose this place at the request of our insect-loving children. The traditional Japanese-style design of the building is calming, and the magnificent Japanese garden is truly impressive. At night, you can enjoy a chorus of frogs, while during the day, various dragonflies and butterflies flutter around the pond. A highlight for us was spotting a kingfisher and ruddy kingfisher on the property—an unforgettable experience in this forested environment that allowed us to relax fully. With a car, supermarkets and convenience stores are just 6–7 minutes away, and attractions like Churaumi Aquarium or Hanasaki Marche are about 15 minutes by car, so we didn’t feel inconvenienced at all. There’s also Mokulele Drive-In Hawaii nearby offering breakfast from early morning—a great option for those planning to enjoy swimming at Sesoko Island or Bise. Aside from weak shower water pressure and some issues with the vacuum cleaner, everything else was perfect. The management company provided prompt and courteous service, making our stay worry-free.

I stayed at the beginning of December. We borrowed a BBQ set to make our own dinner and breakfast, and thanks to the mild winter, we enjoyed it without worrying about the cold! The property was very accommodating, providing everything we thought we might need while cooking. The attention to detail was wonderful. We didn't face any difficulties, it was truly impressive. We cycled around the island, and after sunset, the children enjoyed karaoke. The room had large windows, and we could have a bonfire outdoors right in front, so the adults enjoyed drinks by the fire while keeping an eye on the karaoke. (There was even a portable speaker. It was amazing.) Looking up, there was a sky full of stars. The sunrise was magnificent, and the glass-walled bath where you could soak up the sun was also fantastic. On our way back, we could go down to the sea right in front of the Stays, and the children played by dipping their feet in the water. If I were to give a score, 100 points wouldn't be enough. It was truly the best property. Thank you very much. I definitely want to visit again!!!

We were really looking forward to the included marine gear. With unlimited use of SUP boards and more, we enjoyed ourselves until it got dark—and again as much as we wanted in the morning. The ocean is right in front of you, so it was great to change into a swimsuit and head straight into the water. After playing, we could rinse off at the outdoor shower and hop right into the heated jacuzzi, which warmed us up nicely. Even when we weren’t in the water, it was wonderful to relax on the spacious terrace with tea and fully enjoy the resort atmosphere. The Room was also spacious, and we loved wrapping up in a large blanket and unwinding on the sofa. The shop across the road also offers takeout like rice-flour churros and coffee—so good! Chaco, the resident dog, was adorable! The shop had lots of lovely items that are perfect for souvenirs. Next time, we’d love to stay at least two nights and spend plenty of time enjoying the sea. Used for a New Year's trip to Kyoto. Conveniently located near Kiyomizu-dera with parking available. The view is amazing. The entire floor on the first level (even the kitchen!) is equipped with underfloor heating, making it very warm wherever you are. From the large windows, you can see the mountains towards Kiyomizu-dera, and at night, the illuminated trees from the balcony area were very beautiful. The bath can be enjoyed with the windows fully open both at night and in the morning, giving an open-air feeling. Overall, it was a very good property.

Thank you for your kind assistance from notifying us about the cancellation of our flight due to weather the day before, to handling the keys on the day. The pool and room were clean, and the sauna was excellent.

It was wonderful!!! Everything was clean, and it had almost everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A campfire, sauna, outdoor grill, pool, jacuzzi, starry skies—and a quiet, safe private space where we could truly relax. Nearby there were supermarkets for groceries, a specialty ham and sausage shop, a delicious soba restaurant, and day-use Onsen facilities as well, so our family was able to unwind and enjoy our time together. The Southern Alps mountains were absolutely stunning!! The staff were also kind. We would definitely love to come back again.

I stayed here to spend some quiet time alone. I was very satisfied to be able to relax in a nature-rich setting while enjoying the rare scenery unique to a dam lake. It was a wonderful stay where I could feel nature changing its character throughout the day, and with the campfire time included, I was able to step away from everyday noise and reflect on myself. Also, despite the exceptional location, I could really feel the attention to detail in the interior and amenities, and I stayed comfortably. This Accommodation is highly recommended for anyone who loves nature.

During this stay, I also tried the optional “Earth Sauna,” and it exceeded all expectations. The gentle heat felt like being wrapped in soil—soft on the skin, yet warming you thoroughly from the core. It was clearly different from a typical sauna, with a deep warmth that lingered long after. During the outdoor cool-down, I felt at one with the quiet natural air and experienced such complete relaxation that I couldn’t think of anything else. And then there was the tea sauna. With each löyly, the refined aroma of Asamiya tea filled the space, soothing with every breath. The heat was mild, and the balance of fragrance and humidity was perfect—it felt relaxing even to the mind. There is also a Shigaraki ware gallery inside, and being able to purchase pieces is another highlight. It wasn’t just about saunas—it was a stay where you can truly experience Shigaraki culture. Being able to enjoy two completely different sauna experiences within the same Facility is pure luxury. This wasn’t just about sweating—it was an “experience sauna.” I will definitely be back again.

We stayed here to celebrate our dog’s birthday. Our Room was on the 1st floor and built in a semi-basement style, so the greenery felt refreshing and relaxing. However, staying with a dog comes with a lot of luggage, so carrying everything was a bit tough. We also used a stove guard as a substitute to prevent our dog from dashing out. The Room had a simple, natural vibe and was compact yet tastefully designed. The open-air bath had a pleasant sulfur scent, and we were able to soak and relax. It would be helpful to have a rod for lowering the roll curtain—climbing onto the bench to pull it down feels unsafe. At night, insects are attracted by the light, so we turned off the light while bathing; if you’re not comfortable with that, it’s better to use it in the morning or while it’s still bright. Going from the shower booth through the living area to reach the open-air bath felt slightly awkward (lol). Meals were prepared in an easy-to-manage way, and all seasonings were provided, which was convenient. It was our first time trying this kind of stay and we had a great time. Lastly, taking out the trash was a bit difficult. There was quite a lot of trash left in the bathroom bin as well, so we threw it away together; I think it would be good for guests to check carefully since it’s easy to forget. The value for money was great, and having an 11:00 check-out time was nice. There aren’t many Hotels with such a lovely atmosphere where you can stay with your dog, so I really appreciated that the design didn’t feel different from regular Rooms. Thank you very much.

I stayed at “Hiire IZU,” which I’d been curious about for a long time. The lava irori hearth at the center of the room was simply outstanding. It’s a gas-fired irori co-developed with a kitchen equipment manufacturer, so you can enjoy not only grilling meat and fish, but also hot pot and even ajillo—truly a special time to savor the experience of gathering around the fire itself. Cooking and enjoying Izu’s bounty over the flame ourselves—such as splendid alfonsino landed at Ito Port, seasonal fish, and Yamakiichi dried fish—was unforgettable. The dishes were elevated even further by beautiful local craftsmanship: tableware by Shichiro Fujii of Azanayama Kiln, Gendo yosegi woodwork, and IZUIRO wooden trays. We also stopped by the nearby general store “Kosanchi,” and were moved throughout our stay by how deeply this Accommodation embodies a spirit of making things with care.
