This is my favorite regular inn—my go-to place to reset both mind and body. This time again, the dinner I had been looking forward to was far beyond expectations. The upgraded local fish sashimi was unbelievably fresh! I was especially delighted that it included two rare types of local white fish: Hokihata and Hige-dara. The pleasant springy texture and rich umami of the Hokihata, and the refined, deep sweetness of the Hige-dara—I savored these special flavors that you can only encounter at this inn. The handwritten note listing the fish also conveyed such warm hospitality. The napa cabbage macaroni gratin featured a perfectly balanced white sauce made from scratch—rich yet light, with a gentle finish that brought out the natural sweetness of the vegetables. It was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating. The Izu seaweed soup also felt soothing as it gently warmed me through. I feel nourished from within by wonderful food, then healed from without by the free-flowing natural hot spring and suina massage. Once you experience this luxurious private space, it truly becomes addictive. I recharged with amazing energy again this time—and I’ll be back for another boost!

From June 28 to 30, just after the typhoon and the end of the rainy season, we were able to arrive in Miyako safely and this was our second stay at Ferris. We were upgraded to a twin-bed Room for our family of three, and it also happened to be my wife’s birthday. The cake and bed decorations were wonderful surprises, making our first trip back to Miyakojima in two years truly memorable. Thank you very much to all the staff. Coming back from snorkeling and slipping straight into the private pool in our Room felt amazing—we could have stayed in forever while looking out at the mangroves. We enjoyed San’s shabu-shabu in our Room, and everything was delicious right down to the soba at the end. Next time, we’d love to try lunch as well! We look forward to staying with you again.

This was a trip with my daughter. Even before our trip, you were so considerate in many ways, which allowed us to travel around Yakushima with peace of mind. No matter how many times I stay, it feels fresh every time, and I’m often deeply moved—this is that kind of Hotel. Facilities and equipment can be improved through renovations, but hospitality and service can’t be achieved overnight. Each time I stay at sankara hotel, I truly feel the staff’s mindset and daily dedication. The meals are always extremely satisfying—beautifully presented dishes centered on local vegetables, fish, and meat that delight the eyes as well as the palate. I want to return to Yakushima again because I want to hear all the staff say “Welcome back.”

This was my first time staying here. The quiet, relaxing atmosphere, pleasant service, and lush green surroundings... It was a very comfortable Hotel. I stayed after attending my daughter’s wedding, and I was able to unwind and relax. I didn’t have much time for sightseeing this time, so next time I’d like to stay here longer and enjoy sightseeing as well. Thank you very much.

It was a wonderful stay. Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality. Even though the weather wasn’t great, we could still enjoy the garden and a hint of autumn foliage, and relax at a leisurely pace surrounded by lush greenery. The meals were delicious, the Onsen was very comfortable, and it made us wish we could stay for two or three days. If we have the chance, we would love to visit again.

The Room size, facilities and amenities, cleanliness, and the breathtaking ocean view are all flawless. I think it offers far better value for money than staying at a nearby Resort Hotel. However, you may be a bit confused if you arrive expecting a typical Hotel. There is no front desk or management office; instead, it’s an Airbnb-style setup where you enter the PIN sent to you after completing pre-registration. In my case, the registration email ended up in my spam folder, so I didn’t know what to do on site and only figured it out after calling the emergency contact number. I tried to upload the required ID documents for verification, but the connection was poor and it was difficult; in the end, I had to get the PIN by phone in quite a rush. If you complete pre-registration in advance, check-in should be smooth, and from the second stay onward there likely won’t be any issues—but it would be helpful if IKYU clearly noted these differences from a standard Hotel in the Facility description as well. Please also note that there is no elevator. In addition, the entrance floor is made of stepping stones with water around them. It may look stylish, but if you drop your phone or anything similar it’s game over, and it’s inconvenient when carrying heavy luggage—so there seems to be room for improvement.

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay with our dog. The Room was clean, and the Facility was well equipped so we could relax with peace of mind. The staff were very kind, and we truly appreciate their warm hospitality. We made another precious memory with our dog—thank you so much. We would love to visit again with our dog.

We stayed in the detached annex with our family of four and our dog. The Room was spacious and clean, and everything was prepared so we could relax right away. We checked in during a typhoon in heavy wind and rain and got completely soaked, but it was a relief that we could use the Onsen immediately after arriving. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and seasonings, so we brought ingredients and cooked dinner ourselves. The breakfast bread and soup were very delicious. Since it was a second-floor Room, the view was amazing. The sunrise glow was beautiful. However, it was disappointing that there were so many stink bugs on the terrace that we couldn’t go out. There were also plenty of amenities for dogs. We were able to enjoy bath time together and even sleep together. Check-out is at 11:00, so you can take it easy in the morning. I used the Onsen twice in the morning. Being able to enjoy the Onsen whenever I wanted made me very satisfied. Next time, I’d love to soak in the terrace jacuzzi while looking at the starry sky. I would definitely like to stay again.

This Hotel was truly exceptional, with breathtaking Hayama views and the warm hospitality of the staff. The Misaki-grown longtooth grouper served at dinner was especially memorable—the chef’s cooking was perfect, and I was genuinely impressed. The plump, tender white flesh and rich fat that melted in my mouth were unforgettable. With wonderful cuisine and outstanding service, it became a truly special stay. Thank you very much.

We stayed here as a couple to celebrate a birthday. From the meals and baths to the Room amenities and Shuttle Service, everything was filled with hospitality, and they were flexible in accommodating our requests, making our stay truly enjoyable and happy. Some Accommodations offer inclusive bar drinks or well-equipped Rooms, but this place is on another level—we were able to enjoy an extraordinary sense of luxury. We would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much!

This was a wonderful Accommodation where the owners’ sense of style and hospitality were evident in every detail. The clean Room, the handmade garden, and the carefully prepared meals were all warm and comforting, and we felt truly relaxed. Rather than the standardized service of a large Facility, we could really feel how much they love this place and are devoted to nurturing it. My elderly mother also said she would definitely like to come again, so we will surely visit again. Thank you very much.

This Hotel exceeded my expectations—wonderful in every way and an amazing value. All the staff welcomed us with great smiles, and everyone we met at check-in, at the restaurant during dinner, and at breakfast provided excellent service, making our trip to Zao truly pleasant. I was also happy to see their thoughtful attention, such as calling the elevator in advance when we were heading that way. When we entered our Room, there were tea snacks plus chilled sweets in the refrigerator—at this price, I honestly wondered if it was really okay for us to stay here. The Room was also very spacious. The Onsen was of course fantastic, and we were able to use the Onsen at affiliated Hotels as well, which was a real treat for us Onsen lovers. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

I seem to have booked an accessible room without realizing it, and was shown to a first-floor guest room. The in-room bathroom was an impressive stone design with great attention to detail, and the tub had plenty of continuously flowing water. The stone flooring was also slip-resistant, which felt reassuring. The clear Onsen water was silky-smooth—an excellent bath overall. That said, because the first-floor room is almost level with the embankment, bamboo grass has been planted for privacy and the room felt a bit dark, which was disappointing. With the special blinds set at just the right angle, views from outside are well blocked. Whether it was the mattress or something else, I slept very soundly. The large public baths are on the 3rd floor (women), 2nd floor (men), plus there are additional baths in the basement including a granite bath and an open-air rock bath. It’s fun to enjoy a variety of baths around the Accommodation from morning onward, and my companion was very satisfied as well and seemed refreshed. There are stairs to reach some of the basement baths and the open-air rock bath, so even younger guests should take care. Dinner featured local specialties such as salt-grilled ayu sweetfish, followed by more unpretentious yet delicious dishes—overall a very positive impression. Breakfast was also served seated in private or semi-private rooms, so we could enjoy it calmly. After flood damage, tasteful renovations have been done throughout; starting with the lobby, everything felt comfortable overall. However, since it isn’t newly built, there were slight slopes here and there in places like corridors. Being along the riverbank also means small insects can’t be completely avoided in summer. A Facility where you can feel the atmosphere of a classic Onsen inn. If I have another chance, I’d like to stay in a guest room on either the 2nd or 3rd floor.

The bath, the Room, the sauna, the food, and all of the staff were amazing. The goats were also incredibly cute and so relaxing! Our daughter was totally absorbed in feeding them, and on the way home she said she definitely wants to stay again! We plan to visit again if we have the chance!

I stayed for two nights when a typhoon approached Yakushima and brought record-breaking heavy rain. Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, I had to cancel most of my plans such as trekking, but thanks to how fulfilling my time at this Hotel was, it ended up being a memorable and wonderful trip overall. The Facility was very clean, and the staff were kind, attentive, and provided excellent service, so I was able to stay comfortably. The food was delicious—not only the buffet but also the dishes from the live kitchen—and there was a great variety that I really enjoyed. I hope to visit Yakushima again someday and make trekking happen next time, and when I do, I would love to stay here again.

I live in Kobe and have been hiking Mt. Rokko and the surrounding mountains frequently for many years. I often passed by “Ocean Terrace Ajisai” and had been curious about it for a long time. After reading the Reviews, the food looked absolutely delicious. So I made a Reservation for our wedding anniversary. The meals more than lived up to their reputation—beautifully presented, wonderfully flavorful, and truly outstanding. Both dinner and breakfast left us happily stuffed. Everything was delicious, but I was especially impressed by how surprising and exquisite the fig dengaku and peach potage were—and it was my first time in my life to be genuinely amazed at how incredibly good Narazuke could be. The dashimaki tamago that appeared with a burst of steam when they opened the bamboo mat was also exceptional. Everyone at the Accommodation was kind and attentive, sharing enjoyable stories that made us feel at ease. The view was slightly hazy when we arrived, but when I woke up around midnight and stepped out onto the terrace, there were the night lights from Kobe to Osaka—and a full moon! I was thrilled by both our good luck and its beauty. And in the morning, seeing trees wrapped in mist—Mt. Rokko like I’d never seen before—moved me again… I would love to stay again in a different season. When making the Reservation, I saw the Room size in square meters and assumed it would be compact, but I must have misread it—it felt very spacious and relaxing, which was wonderful too.

The location is simply outstanding. From anywhere on the property, I could see Mt. Bandai beyond Yairoku Pond, and I was moved again and again. In addition, the service, dinner and breakfast, open-air bath, cleanliness, and the lounge’s ease of use were all excellent and comfortable. I’m glad I chose Urabandai Kogen Hotel for my commemorative trip. The nature that changes with each season must be wonderful as well, so next time I’d love to visit in a different season. We stayed with my parents and husband—four adults in total. There was a complimentary alcohol service available until 10:00 p.m. (there was even beer in the Room refrigerator!), and the all-inclusive drinks with meals included a great selection of alcohol. We could even enjoy sparkling wine at breakfast—perfect for my father and me, as we both love drinks. Every summer, we stay one night at an Accommodation in Fukushima to coincide with my mother’s visit home, and my father really loved this place, saying, “Let’s stay here again next time—let’s make it our regular.” From the bath to the lobby to the Room, everything about the interior design and use of space was wonderful no matter where you looked. The staff were also warm and welcoming while still polished and professional. It was our first trip gifting my parents a stay, so it became a truly memorable experience for us. Thank you very much.
