As other Reviews mention, it is true that the property is a bit old. However, in an area where many places charge foreigner prices, the value for money here is excellent and I have no complaints. The variety of dishes may not be ultra-luxury cuisine, but it was more than sufficient and everything was very delicious. The foreign staff who assisted us were also very pleasant, and I wanted to support them. I believe this Facility still has plenty of life left in it, and I look forward to its continued growth and success.

Hearing that the auberge offered a full-course French dinner, I quickly booked as soon as a room became available. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. I’m not an expert in French cuisine, but it felt like authentic local cooking rather than “Japanized” French food. I was especially impressed by the healthy, colorful beet-based appetizers and desserts, the tangy tomato soup, and the bone-in lamb—along with vegetables on the same plate, each carefully seasoned differently. The highlight was the nougat glacé for dessert. It was my first time trying it; it looked beautiful, and I loved its pleasantly firm texture and sweetness. I can see why some guests visit just for this menu. I would love to return.

A few days ago, I stayed at a Marriott in another location, and the room layout and design were exactly the same. It was easy to figure out things like the light switches right away. As with my previous stay, both the lobby and room were clean this time as well. Since it was a slightly chilly day and my body felt cold, I did notice that there was only a shower booth available.

We used the BBQ grill and a guest room. It was our first time having a barbecue with friends. We knew charcoal was sold here when we made the Reservation, but we didn’t know how many kilograms it came in, so we brought our own 3 kg bag from a home improvement store. (That was enough for us.) We also brought a grill grate, but we didn’t know the size of the BBQ grill, so in the end we bought fire starters and an additional grate at the shop. (The grate in the photo was purchased at the shop.) The bath area has one sauna and one hot tub, and the washing area is spacious and easy to use. It’s a Facility we’d like to use again if we have another chance.

Although the weather was not great, we still enjoyed our stay and even had fun with the little inconveniences. A wonderful Room and meals. Next time, I’d love to watch the stars.

After getting off the expressway and driving through town, we arrived while watching people fishing for ayu in the Oi River flowing alongside the road. At reception, we paid the Accommodation Tax and the dog fee in cash, then moved to our Room. The owner kindly explained how to use everything in detail. It’s a small but beautifully renovated riverside one-story private rental house, and this time we chose the bring-your-own-ingredients BBQ plan. The Accommodation also has a resident Shiba Inu “greeter” and a gorgeous cat who welcomed us—the cat even walked with us to our door. The kitchen was fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, electric kettle, dishes, pots, and cutlery, so all we needed to bring were seasonings and ingredients. For dogs, they provided a crate, toilet tray, pee pads, deodorizing spray, lint roller (sticky cleaner), and water bowl—so as long as you bring food for your dog(s), you’re all set. You can park right in front of the house, which made unloading luggage easy. We changed into swimsuits and headed to the river right in front of the Room with our two dogs. The high that day was 26°C (30°C in Osaka), so it felt a bit chilly for swimming; our dogs started shivering so we went back inside pretty quickly. We’d love to try again next year. In the evening we had a BBQ in the garden. The staff handled both lighting the fire and cleaning up afterward, which was very reassuring. There aren’t any tourist spots or shops nearby around this Accommodation, but it’s quiet with no traffic—just relaxing sounds of the river and evening cicadas. Thank you very much! Rather than a Hotel, it was an Accommodation. The Facility is simple and unadorned. However, the Room was clean and very comfortable. The menu at the on-site restaurant featured carefully prepared, home-style dishes. We ate there for both breakfast and dinner, and everything was delicious. Both the front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. The only downside was that the bathroom and toilet were small (but they were clean!). It’s a comfortable Hotel, and I’d like to stay again.

We stayed here for a family trip with our grown sons. Perhaps because the building is set back from the road, it was very quiet, and we were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful time. At night, we connected to Netflix and watched a movie with craft beer and snacks—it was a great time. We bought bread from a famous bakery for breakfast and toasted it in the oven here. It tasted freshly baked again, and we enjoyed it with the complimentary coffee. The bathroom is stylish and lovely, but the only downside is that shower water gets into the washroom area, making the floor sticky. As for service, everything is self-service, so I rated it 3. I was a little worried because there were some negative Reviews, but it was a great Facility that I would like to use again.

Although it was a No Meals Included stay, we stayed for two nights as a parent and child on the Standard Japanese-Style Room Plan. It is located on a hill with great views. The Japanese-style room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. However, the only downside was that we couldn’t adjust the shower temperature well in the bathroom—it would sometimes get too hot or too lukewarm. Perhaps because there were few guests, it was very quiet from night until morning, and we were able to relax. The parking lot was also large and easy to use. If we have a chance to stay in the Ikoma area again, we would like to try it with meals included next time. Thank you very much.

The building and Room have a retro Showa-era feel, but the Room was well cleaned and felt very tidy. I made a Reservation expecting good meals, and there were many dishes—every one was delicious. It exceeded my expectations. The children’s meal also had many kid-friendly options, and my child was happy. The staff were very helpful, and I’d like to stay here again when I’m in the area.

The room was clean and very pleasant. The children felt at home and relaxed. We understood the Goemon bath concept, but the fixed shower and concrete feel were a bit disappointing. Due to the extreme heat during the day, the temperature on the second floor did not cool down enough for sleeping, so we had to sleep on the first floor, which was unfortunate. We would appreciate it if you could consider measures to address the heat on the second floor. The meals and service were excellent, and we were very satisfied. Thank you very much!

Stopped by during a tour to Chausuyama Kogen Road and Horaiji Mountain. Over 30 years ago, the current proprietress's father started this property by renovating their old family home. Nowadays, properties renovated from old houses are not uncommon, but the foresight to start it in that era is impressive. Urugi Village is a great place to spend a relaxing time in a rural setting. The proprietress's proud dishes of game meat and mushrooms, salt-grilled sweetfish, and horse sashimi were very satisfying. The gohei mochi served at the end was also quite filling. There was "Urugi Onsen Komadori no Yu" nearby, so we went there for a bath. Therefore, we did not use the bath at the property. It was a nice property, friendly to riders. Thank you for your hospitality.

We booked two rooms, a Single and a Twin, for our family. The rooms were arranged on the same floor and close to each other. Thank you for accommodating us. The parking lot is free, spacious, and easy to park in, which was very convenient. Amenities such as toothbrushes and combs are self-service at the front desk during check-in. The staff kindly informed us about this. However, items like lotion are not provided. The room was slightly spacious. In the bathroom, there were some black marks on the wall—possibly mold or peeling paint—which caught my attention. Other than that, despite some signs of age in the facilities, we had a comfortable stay. It was No Meals Included for our stay; however, we enjoyed dinner at a nearby diner within walking distance and were satisfied with it. There isn’t a convenience store very close by, so I recommend preparing breakfast before checking in if needed. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji due to bad weather—what a pity! We look forward to staying here again in the future. Thank you for your hospitality!

We stayed here the night before a mountain hike. The place was very spacious, and the amenities were well stocked. There was also a convenience store just a short walk away, which was reassuring.
