The accommodation was newly renovated, resembling the house I lived in as a child, which felt very nostalgic and beautifully done. It had a fresh yet calm atmosphere. This time, we stayed with a large family group. As we usually lead busy lives, it was wonderful to spend some relaxing time here. Since it's nearby, we would love to visit again.

We had a wonderful celebration. The staff were very kind, and the food was excellent, leaving us very satisfied. We chose glamping with a dog run, and it was a great decision as our dog could move around freely without stress. We are truly grateful to the staff—thank you so much!

As a resident of Okinawa, my family and I often visit various pensions within the prefecture, but this one is by far the best. It’s also my children’s favorite, and upon their request, we rented two cottages this time for a family stay. The scenery is stunning, everything is well-maintained, and it offers a truly extraordinary experience.

The room and amenities were very clean and excellent. We stayed as a group of seven spanning three generations, and we were able to relax comfortably. The barbecue facility was fully equipped, and there was a backyard larger than a futsal court where we enjoyed playing catch and soccer. This is an accommodation we would love to use again.

Thank you for your hospitality. I stayed for one night because I was drawn by the promise of “delicious food.” With meat, fish, and vegetables, it wasn’t flashy, but I was very satisfied with the simple flavors and generous portions! Since it was a Room with an open-air bath, I could soak anytime—I ended up going in four times. It was a shame the stars weren’t very visible. It would be amazing to watch the stars from a warm open-air bath on a cold winter day. I’d like to stay again.

We had a girls' night out with three friends. Originally, it was planned for five people, but two had to cancel due to health issues. The cancellation process was handled politely over the phone. The glamping tent was very clean and cute, and the toilet, river area, and Facility were well-maintained, making our stay comfortable. At night, there was an event like a night theater that created a wonderful atmosphere where we could feel extraordinary and refresh ourselves. We would love to visit again!

I stayed with my small dog. It felt like a private, standalone vacation home, so we could truly relax without worrying about the surroundings. The Room was clean and spacious, with a great view, and it was lovely to see my dog settle in comfortably. The Onsen was especially wonderful—very private and deeply soothing after our trip. It’s rare to find an Accommodation where you can stay this comfortably even with a pet. I highly recommend this Accommodation for anyone traveling with their dog or looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway. I’d love to stay again if I have the chance.

This time, we stayed in a cabin with a camping theme. The interior had a very relaxing atmosphere, and it felt like one night was not enough for our family of three. Everything was stylish and clean, making it an excellent stay. The shuttle service was also helpful as it accommodated locations other than the station. We would love to stay again!

In early March, our family of three stayed at KODACHI while there was still snow. The open setting featured an irori dining area, a wood-fired sauna, a large outdoor hot bath and cold plunge, a bedroom trailer, a sanitary room, and a deck with a fire pit. We checked in at 3:00 pm and headed straight to the outdoor bath in the provided swimsuits—our 5-year-old daughter was thrilled. Dinner was served around the irori: seafood hot pot and salmon-and-lily-bulb takikomi rice cooked over firewood. Our child even asked for seconds of the rice, and we were all very satisfied. They also set up a projector during dinner so our daughter stayed entertained while we could enjoy our meal at ease. After she fell asleep, we prepared the wood-fired sauna and lit the deck fire ourselves (staff can also assist). Relaxing in the sauna while looking up at the starry sky among the trees was truly an incredible healing experience. On evening walks around the spacious grounds we enjoyed stargazing, and in the morning we went birdwatching with binoculars, searching for long-tailed tits together. After breakfast we took snowshoes to see the river, and before we knew it it was time for checkout at 11:00 am. Next time we’d love to return in summer for two nights. Thank you to all the kind staff for such a special experience.

It was my first time staying here. With only 5 rooms, the Hotel felt cozy. The entrance road to the Hotel is a bit narrow, but everything else was very satisfying. I stayed in a Western-style Room that felt more spacious and cleaner than a typical Business Hotel room. The bathroom was a unit bath but not cramped and also very clean. Laundry with drying cost only 500 yen, which is an exceptional price. There was even a small massage cushion available. Although meals were not provided, there were materials introducing nearby restaurants, and the owner’s polite service showed great attention to detail throughout the Hotel. The shared freezer posed no issues (there was also a small freezer in the Room), making it excellent value for money—I would love to stay again. At night, there happened to be a fireworks festival nearby, and I could enjoy watching some of the larger fireworks from my window. It made for an amazing summer vacation!

The house still had that “new home” smell (in a good way), haha. It was very clean, comfortable for us, and we really enjoyed our stay. We also rented the washing machine, dishes, and even a BBQ set (about ¥2,000), and since everything was provided it felt easy and relaxing—just like being at home. They even had mosquito coils; such thoughtful touches… The bath (and sauna) are outside, but we didn’t use them because it felt like too much hassle. There is a small shower inside the house. If I had to mention any downsides: the hair dryer is a ReFa (known for not drying very quickly), and the razor wasn’t easy to shave with. Overall, we were very satisfied because we had such a pleasant stay.

We brought our own food this time, but the BBQ Facility was fully equipped, so we hardly needed to buy anything extra. It’s helpful to bring small bags for food waste and wet wipes. We were also able to borrow a long down coat, and with the heater, it was comfortable outside at night. We stayed for a birthday, and they surprised us with a cake! The dome tent with an auto-lock was also very comfortable. The lighting was wonderful, and the starry sky late at night was beautiful and relaxing. We’d love to stay again. Thank you!

We stayed here during summer vacation with three families. The building, Facilities, and amenities were all extremely clean, making our stay very comfortable. The interior was stylish and lovely as well. We rented an optional BBQ set, but unfortunately it rained that day. We contacted them just in case, and even though it was a last-minute request, they set up a tarp for us the same day. We truly appreciated it, enjoyed a wonderful BBQ, and it became the best summer vacation memory. We will definitely be back. It seems Polar Resort has several vacation rentals in Karuizawa, so we’d like to try their other Accommodations too. Highly recommended.

Even though it was affordable, it was comfortable, with great Facilities and amenities. The food was delicious, and everyone was so kind—it was truly wonderful. I absolutely had to check in about 30 minutes early, but when I explained the situation, they gladly accommodated me, which helped a lot. Also, right after check-in I went to a neighboring prefecture and wasn’t planning to return until late at night, but they were able to accommodate that as well, so I could come back without worry. Because of a chronic condition there are many foods I can’t eat, so I usually give up on Hotel breakfasts—but they carefully asked which seasonings and ingredients were safe for me and prepared a breakfast I could eat with peace of mind. I was so happy, and it was really delicious. This time I went out during dinner hours and couldn’t have dinner here, but if I have the chance to stay again next time, I’d love to try it. Also, since we had a rental car this time, free parking was very appreciated. But it’s also very close to the station, so next time I’d like to come by train and enjoy visiting different Onsen or playing in the river as well. Thank you so much for such a relaxing stay.

Booked this private villa with a sauna for a relaxing getaway with a sauna-loving friend. On the day of check-in, the entrance code was sent via email. As it was our first time, we were slightly worried if it would arrive, but everything went smoothly. The sauna is listed as suitable for up to two people, but realistically it's more comfortable for one person. Enjoyed maximum sweating with Löyly and refreshed with Yatsugatake's natural spring water! All other facilities and amenities were new and clean! Spending time freely with a close friend in such comfort is the ultimate luxury.

The Room was very clean and beautiful. It was a Room with an open-air bath, but the water flow was slow, so it took time to fill up. In winter, the water might cool down by the time it's full. Since it rained the next day, we were able to relax until just before check-out. I would love to stay again if I have another opportunity.

I was concerned about the view since the property is a distance from the sea, but the view was amazing. Despite the unfortunate cloudy sky and occasional rain during our stay, we were able to see a sky full of stars at night and a stunning sunrise in the morning. There were some differences from the guidebook-like booklet, but the staff kindly explained them when I contacted them on their mobile. Thank you. We stayed on the lower floor, so next time, I would like to stay on the upper floor.

The food is delicious every time, and the Room is very clean. It was a very lovely pension that seemed to overflow with the kind personality of the owner couple.

We stayed with our friend's family this time. Nestled beyond a residential area, the accommodation suddenly appeared, surrounded by beautiful nature—what a surprise! This charming accommodation is a renovated warehouse with the pleasant scent of wood. Only the walls were renovated, while everything else retained its original design. The high ceilings, stylish and lovely kitchen, an old movie projector from a vintage cinema, an impressive Nebuta scroll painting, and the serene atmosphere of the bedrooms—all were absolutely perfect. Outside, we enjoyed barbecuing amidst nature and baked bread for breakfast there as well. We also picked summer vegetables like eggplants, tomatoes, and shishito peppers to enjoy for dinner. We were even allowed to do fireworks until 8 PM and took a relaxing bath at nearby Takara Onsen before falling asleep peacefully to the sound of insects at night. Above all else, the hospitality of the owners was exceptional—they kindly explained how to use every part of the facility in detail. Once they finished explaining everything thoroughly, they left us to enjoy our stay freely as if we had this natural home all to ourselves. Thank you so much! Although I initially thought it was slightly expensive for one night’s stay, being able to spend time in such an amazing environment made it worth every penny—a truly unforgettable experience! The little kids had so much fun running around with nets in hand! They loved harvesting vegetables and exploring this traditional house—it was such a fulfilling two-day stay. We will definitely visit again someday. Thank you very much for letting us stay!
