Two adults and our child (5 years old) stayed for one night, and it was our first glamping experience. We were all thrilled the moment we saw the breathtaking view from the Room. With so many activities provided, plus relaxing moments like reading in the Room and making coffee, we enjoyed every minute from arrival to check-out without missing a thing. For dinner, they arranged a fun cooking experience with our attendant and our little “chef,” which made everything taste even better than usual. All of the attendants kindly accommodated last-minute requests and interacted naturally with our child, so we were able to stay very comfortably. Thank you so much for such a truly memorable time. (Our child did catch their foot on furniture corners and near the entrance door threshold, but perhaps that’s part of an authentic camping experience—not everything being overly padded or protected. The Room was wonderful, letting us feel the changing expressions of the mountains up close.)

We stayed for three nights starting August 9. My birthday fell during our stay, and we truly appreciate the wonderful surprise with towel art and a cake—thank you so much! Due to the typhoon up until the day before, we weren’t very lucky with the weather, but we felt fortunate just to be able to make it to the island. Even in the rain, thanks to the various rental items available, our children enjoyed the pool and the indoor planetarium throughout our stay. We weren’t able to use the rice cooker provided, so it would be great if cooked white rice could be sold in portions by number of cups. We were also very grateful for the breakfast food truck. This was our second stay at Ferris Villa, and it was a perfect visit with nothing to complain about—we’d love to return again. Thank you very much!

While Accommodations with Onsen and breakfast and dinner included are wonderful, we were hoping for a stay that felt more like living locally. We stayed as a couple, and the simple layout—kitchen, dining area, bedroom, toilet, and shower—was impressive and made for a very comfortable stay. The owner’s mural was gentle and blended beautifully with the interior, creating a lovely atmosphere. We were told that in winter all rooms have underfloor heating so you can stay comfortable even in short sleeves, so we’d love to visit again in another season. There’s an OGINO supermarket nearby as well as a butcher shop; we enjoyed basashi and relaxed with Yamanashi wine (the kitchen knife wasn’t very sharp, but honestly it felt safer that way). Partway through our stay, the owner stopped by to check on us and shared stories about life at Lake Yamanaka—more than anything else, that became our favorite memory and made us feel at ease. It was a truly wonderful stay. Thank you very much.

I stayed here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. My friend asked me to choose the Accommodation, and I booked Takitei without hesitation. We were extremely satisfied! The Room, baths, meals, and attentive service were all wonderful. Since it was a birthday, we also received such warm hospitality, and my friend was truly delighted. My friend especially loved the jibuni served at dinner. Thanks to you, I was able to spend a wonderful time with friends I hadn’t seen in a while. I’m filled with gratitude. I would love to visit again.

I stayed here with a friend this March and was so impressed that I returned in July with my family (as a couple). The dining menu had changed to a summer menu, so we were able to enjoy it again with a fresh perspective. With only eight parties staying at a time, this is a hidden-gem Accommodation: the Rooms are spacious, yet limited to two adults per Room. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to relax and unwind in peace. On the other hand, you won’t find sweeping views of Sagami Bay like those from the balcony of a high-rise Hotel (you can see the sea and Oshima Island, but they feel distant), nor is there an expansive garden. There is also no Shuttle Service from the station, so I recommend it for guests who don’t mind that. It’s well suited for making memories as a couple or with your best friend, and for celebrating anniversaries or special occasions. The in-Room open-air bath is spacious, and after bathing you can relax on chairs on the balcony. The food is delicious and very generous in portion size—and the timing of each course being served is excellent. The bedding was comfortable and I slept soundly. Considering this level of quality and service, the Plan pricing is reasonable. I would definitely like to return again.

I first learned about this Accommodation in a travel magazine and had wanted to visit for years. From the moment I made my Reservation, the staff reached out several times with thoughtful messages, which felt truly warm and welcoming. I’m grateful for their kind advice on transportation as well as nearby recommended spots and restaurants. Set on a vast property, the Accommodation offers wonderful views, and I was thrilled to encounter deer while strolling around. The Onsen had excellent water quality, the Facility was well maintained, and I was able to unwind and soothe my fatigue while enjoying the scenery. A local regular I spoke with in the bath said they stay here every month—I couldn’t help but envy them. It was an outstanding Accommodation where both mind and body could fully relax. I would love to visit again. Every staff member was gentle and attentive, and their hospitality made it possible for me to truly feel at ease throughout my stay—each day felt happy. There were four private Onsen baths, and each one was very clean and a pleasure to use—it really helped me unwind. I usually manage about three visits, but I wanted to try all four, so I pushed myself. The meals were truly delicious. They were mainly Japanese-style, with some Western-style dishes in between, so I enjoyed a great variety. The fish had absolutely no odor and was so fresh that I felt I had never tasted anything like it before—what a surprise. Dinner and breakfast rice and miso soup were also excellent, which I really appreciated. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

This was my second stay. Last time, I stayed during a snowy season, so this time I was able to relax until dinner and fully enjoy the sight of green trees swaying and the gentle calls of evening cicadas from my clean, refined Room. The meals here are delicious both in the morning and in the evening, with plenty of vegetables. Of course, the fish and meat were also excellent—everything was flawless. Above all, the staff’s smiles were wonderful, and their service was attentive and professional, which made me feel truly happy. I will definitely come back to stay again when I have time. We stayed to celebrate the youngest of our three sons’ birthday—this was about our fifth visit. The room has evolved into a family room, and with the slide, swing, and bouldering wall, they played nonstop. All three were very happy and said they want to come again and stay again. Thank you as well to K for taking such great care of us during our meals—it made the memories even more special. Next time, we’d love to visit for our second son’s birthday. Thank you in advance.

I loved the exceptionally quiet scenery. The service was also very attentive. Everything was spotless, and the scent of the tatami was soothing. The flowers on display were beautifully arranged, and I was impressed by the furnishings as well. The food was as delicious as its reputation suggests. The bath amenities were excellent too—ReFa showerheads and hair dryers, and POLA products. It would be perfect if the bath were an Onsen. Every detail felt pleasant, making this a truly wonderful trip. It’s an Accommodation I’d recommend to others and would love to stay at again.

The atmosphere was homey and very clean, and all the staff were extremely kind. It was late July, but the temperature wasn’t too high and the humidity was low, so it was very comfortable—Karuizawa really is wonderful. We stayed for two nights, but on the second night my son became unwell, and I’m very sorry for the trouble we caused. Even though it was sudden, a staff member said, “Please let us know if there’s anything we can do,” and they also helped us check out quickly that same day—thank you so much. By the next day my son was feeling better and said, “Karuizawa was fun—I want to stay at that Hotel again.” I’m also sorry this Review is so late. I will contact you again separately. There was an unexpected issue and I panicked a bit, but I made another special memory in Karuizawa after a long time. Thank you very much.

The meals, hospitality, Room, views, and bath—everything made for a wonderful stay. I have never had rice this delicious before. The tea was also excellent, and the grilled dried horse mackerel at breakfast was outstanding. In any case, I’m adding this Accommodation to my top five places I want to stay again. I hope to visit again someday. Thank you very much.

I stayed here with my husband and our dog. The owner is a true dog lover, and our dog was able to relax and feel at ease. The Accommodation was very clean, thoroughly well maintained down to every corner, which made our stay very comfortable. And most of all, the bath was a wonderful surprise! The open-air bath was fantastic. Since we were the only guests this time, we could enjoy it at our preferred times and soak in peace—it felt like a real luxury. Dinner was Italian cuisine: appetizers, two pasta dishes, Nasu beef, and dessert. Everything was truly delicious. For breakfast we could choose between pizza muffins and French toast, but we wanted both so we ordered both and shared. The French toast in particular was outstanding! We had a relaxing and enjoyable time with our dog, making it a very satisfying one-night trip. We would love to visit again.

This was our eighth stay. Ever since our first visit, the Room, the private bath, and the surroundings of the Hotel have been very comfortable, and the meals are delicious. We stay about once a year, and it has become something my wife and I truly look forward to. This time as well, the food was excellent—especially the Chateaubriand, which was outstanding. Although it was rainy and we didn’t go to Mount Koya this time, we were able to see exceptionally beautiful flowering peach trees and weeping cherry blossoms around Sanso Amanosato.

My spouse and I had some time off, so we made a spontaneous Reservation and stayed here. We arrived by car, and staff were waiting in front of the Hotel to guide us, so parking was smooth. They also carried our bags, and I was surprised by how courteous they were. The front desk staff were also polite and left a great impression. Because of that, we ended up booking a private Onsen. The staff on duty from evening through morning were very kind as well. They even showed us a rare video of a Japanese serow and shared lots of interesting stories about it, which made us very happy. The Onsen was extremely relaxing, and the breakfast staff were friendly too. We came to heal our bodies, but our hearts felt refreshed as well. We also had great weather at Gozaisho. Next time, I’d like to bring my mother too. Overall, it was such a pleasant Hotel and incredibly soothing. Thank you very much.

This was our second stay, and even though we arrived nearly two hours later than planned, thank you very much for welcoming us so kindly. Both the Room and the bath were very clean. We were a bit concerned about mosquitoes given the season, but effective measures with a wonderful fragrance were in place, so we felt completely at ease throughout our stay. The sound system in the loft theater room was excellent—it truly felt like being in a movie theater. We were also shown to a private dining room, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the delicious food at our own pace, almost like in-Room dining. All of the staff were courteous from start to finish, and we had a truly wonderful time. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for everything.

I stayed here for the first time last year and it was wonderful, so this year I stayed for two nights. This is a very comfortable Hotel, with spotless Rooms, high-quality meals, and excellent Facilities. As it’s truly all-inclusive, I was able to spend three days without opening my wallet at all. Whenever the food or snacks started to run low, they were replenished immediately—the staff’s attentiveness is outstanding. I also saw the manager throughout all three days; it made me wonder when they ever rest, as they were working alongside the staff like everyone else. Every time I visit, I’m impressed by the hospitality of the staff at Imaisou. Thank you very much. I would love to visit again next year!

A relaxing stay with both Japanese and Western cuisine Seasonal ingredients were used to great effect, with excellent flavor and variety, and everything was clean and comfortable. All staff were genuinely attentive and helped us whenever we needed assistance. You can take a walk around the grounds, and in the guest lounge we enjoyed reading with complimentary coffee while taking in the view of Mt. Bandai—truly a wonderful time. With easy access to Goshikinuma Ponds, this is a Hotel we would definitely like to visit again.

It was a wonderful stay, exactly as we had hoped. The Room was very clean, every dish at both dinner and breakfast was delicious, and the private Onsen was fantastic—we were completely satisfied. Some oil from the stone-grilled Tochigi Wagyu accidentally splashed onto my skirt, but when I asked for advice, they kindly prepared a tray with mild detergent and towels and explained how to care for it properly. It was a huge help—thank you. If I had one small request, it would be nice to have simple snacks such as nuts when enjoying drinks in the lounge (a Ryokan we stayed at in Nagano recently offered this, so that may be why I noticed), but we truly appreciate being able to enjoy complimentary drinks. A highly recommended Ryokan.

We visited this Accommodation for the first time in March after it received the strongest “Absolutely!” recommendation among several options, and it was the first time in a while that we felt completely satisfied in every respect. From the courteous and accurate communication during the Reservation process, to the atmosphere, use of space, staff professionalism, and cuisine—everything met our expectations. With an Accommodation of this caliber, I wasn’t particularly worried about the food, and I had already seen photos of the interior on the website so I assumed there would be no surprises. In the end, however, what matters most is “people.” With group stays, requests often cause inconvenience and there are usually one or two small oversights on the day—but here everything was perfect. This time we came as individuals. We returned both to confirm our impressions and to be moved all over again. The entrance—still fresh in my memory as a favorite—is spacious and quiet. It harmoniously blends cutting-edge design with traditional charm despite being complete opposites. Personally, it may be my favorite part. Our Room this time was more compact than last time but more than sufficient for one night. The open-air bath is also spacious and easy to use even though it has privacy screening. The private dining room felt almost too large for just two people. The timing of each course and the staff’s warm smiles made for a truly comfortable—and delicious—meal. Overall, what stayed with me is how rare this Facility is: an excellent balance of new and old, genuine warmth from people, and employees who approach their work with sincerity—all coming together in perfect harmony. Newer Accommodations with a full resort feel are wonderful in their own way as well; however, as an Onsen Accommodation, this is a place I can confidently recommend as a distinctly Japanese stay where timeless tradition is beautifully integrated.
