We had to cancel our Okinawa trip due to a typhoon. Then I remembered Iojima, which my husband’s mother had recommended, and looked it up. Because it was last-minute, the only availability was a BBQ Plan in a dog-friendly Room, but we made a Reservation anyway—and it turned out to be amazing! We don’t have pets, so I worried about odors or hearing dogs from other Rooms, but everything was spotless and we didn’t notice anything at all. The Room also had an ocean view and felt incredibly refreshing. For dinner, we thought two days of BBQ in the summer heat might be too much, so we asked the front desk—just in case—if we could change one day’s meal. They kindly accommodated us, and on the second night we were able to enjoy a course dinner. (This may have been because we originally booked an upgraded option above the standard BBQ.) The BBQ itself was delicious with plenty of variety, and eating while looking out at the sea was fantastic. For breakfast, we could choose from three different restaurants with different menus. Guests could also enjoy complimentary lemon water and chilled tea at various spots around the island. There were lots of activities: sports and games in the gym; ocean athletics and marine sports (extra charge) by the beach; a manga corner near the baths; an indoor pool; Onsen facilities; and even an open-air bath with ocean views. We truly had an incredible three days. Since each area is spread out, you can rent bicycles for free, and there is also a shuttle bus that circulates around the island. All of the Accommodation staff were kind and attentive, helping us create wonderful family memories. Thank you very much.

I stayed here with my uncle and aunt for the first time in four years. We enjoyed table tennis inside the Accommodation, and were able to relax in the large public bath. Dinner was a buffet with fresh seafood, a wide variety of dishes, and excellent sushi. There was also a great selection of alcoholic drinks, which made both my uncle and my husband very happy. The rice balls at breakfast were outstanding as well. We’re already talking about coming back again soon. The staff were also very kind and helpful. Thank you very much.

This was my first time staying at this Hotel. The Room facilities were very clean, as if they had just been renovated. It was also nice that the toilet and the bath/vanity area were separate. The view from the Room was beachfront and wonderful. There are several restaurants near the Hotel, and there is also a convenience store downstairs, which is very convenient. I was surprised to see so many Southeast Asian guests at the breakfast venue. I would like to stay here again.

As always, the lovely Room and spa were wonderful. And the delicious Japanese cuisine left us very satisfied. We don’t play golf, but just looking at the seasonal flowers in bloom throughout the year is soothing.

We stayed for one night from July 27 with two families. From the gentleman on the parking staff at check-in, to the young man in charge of our Room, and even the shop staff, everyone provided warm, friendly service that made our stay truly comfortable. In particular, my son became very fond of the staff member in charge of our Room and still proudly displays the letter he received at check-out. Thank you so much for being so kind to him. The Room was spacious, the view from the window was wonderful, and every dish was delicious. The Onsen had excellent water quality, and my skin felt smooth after bathing. Guests of many different age groups were staying there, and after experiencing it ourselves, we completely understand why. It’s a wonderful Accommodation where anyone can relax and enjoy their time. We also appreciated the complimentary Onsen eggs and “a little beer” service, which helped our whole family have a great time. We would love to visit again.

We had the pleasure of staying at Yumoto Yukomaso, a member of the Japan Association for Protecting Secluded Hot Springs. The location, Onsen, and meals were all in perfect harmony at a consistently high level, allowing us to fully enjoy everything this Accommodation has to offer. What left the strongest impression was the Onsen overlooking lush spring greenery in a wonderfully rustic setting. Soaking in the water while surrounded by birdsong and the crystal-clear air of Mt. Asahidake was truly exceptional. The cuisine was also outstanding, showcasing the chef’s dedication—deeply flavorful dashi that brought out the best in each ingredient, and beautifully presented dishes plated with great care that conveyed genuine craftsmanship. Our Room was Superior Twin Room 401. We were soothed by birdsong and a refreshing breeze through the window, and thanks to their carefully selected spring water and comfortable mattress—together with the benefits of the Onsen—we felt deeply restored both body and mind. Our walk around Mt. Asahidake is also an unforgettable memory. This has become one of our favorite Accommodations, and we will definitely return.

It was a spacious Western-style room with a modern Japanese touch. Since it’s not a large Accommodation, there were few guests and the atmosphere was very calm. Not only was the food excellent, but the salt-grilled ayu was tender and delicious right down to the bones—very satisfying! The staff were all kind, and we felt Fukui’s warmth. It was reasonably priced to begin with, and with the “Fukui Prefecture Accommodation Campaign,” we were able to stay at an even better value.

This was my first stay since the renovation. Both the Room and the bath were wonderful, and I was able to relax in peace. At dinner, the buffet had plenty of fish and everything was delicious. What impressed me most was that it was OK to take desserts back to the Room. I’ve been to many buffets, but this was a first for me. I didn’t use it because I was already full, though.

This was my first stay here. What a wonderfully calming Accommodation. It’s not brand-new, but it’s very clean thanks to thorough housekeeping, and it also incorporates modern conveniences such as motion-sensor lighting. Even though I chose a lighter meal course, I ended up completely full. And everything was delicious. At this price, it’s truly great value. I also thought an Onsen visit in August would be lovely. It’s an Accommodation I’d definitely like to stay at again.

We stayed from August 1 to 2 for my girlfriend’s birthday trip. From the moment you step into the Hotel, you’re overwhelmed by the incredible setting—this alone is more than satisfying! The Hotel is kept beautifully clean, and the stunning views throughout are truly soothing. The amenities are well stocked, and the food is unbelievably delicious—everything feels exceptionally fulfilling. During meals, the staff always watched the timing and brought each dish at just the right moment, and they even helped us celebrate her birthday. Every member of staff was genuinely wonderful, and we were grateful from start to finish. It became an unforgettable birthday trip. Thank you so much—we’ll definitely stay again!

I booked this place for a relaxing trip with friends because I’d long been curious about the view from the open-air bath. The moment we entered the Room, we were thrilled by how clean and stylish it was—and by the amazing view right in front of us. Dinner was delicious with a great variety of dishes. The sunset from the open-air bath was incredible. Breakfast also offered plenty of options, and the freshly made rice balls were especially tasty. For a hot summer trip, it was perfect to skip sightseeing and simply unwind at this wonderful Hotel and feel refreshed—and we even got a great deal thanks to a time sale. A Hotel I’d definitely love to visit again.

The Room, the cuisine, and the garden were all wonderful, and we had an amazing time. The staff member in charge of our Room explained everything clearly and provided attentive, excellent service. Her lovely smile was truly comforting—thank you very much. We would definitely like to stay again.

Remembering how delicious the food was when I previously visited with my daughter, my spouse and I returned this time. We arrived by car a little before 3:00 p.m., but many staff members greeted us with warm smiles, which was very reassuring. All of the staff were wonderful, and both the Facility and our Room were clean and comfortable. Dining in the stillness, with only the sound of evening cicadas in the background, each dish was thoughtfully crafted and looked as beautiful as it tasted. We were also delighted by an extra chef’s special that wasn’t on the menu—it felt truly heartfelt. As a history enthusiast, I signed up for the “Mystery-Solving Adventure: Discover History and Stories.” I didn’t feel much of a historical element, but solving puzzles while enjoying our meal was more than enjoyable. Even though we stayed at a great value using IKYU Earn Points, we were also given prizes, which made us feel almost undeserving. This is an Accommodation I would definitely recommend to others. I’d love to visit again in another season. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

The moment we stepped into our split-level Room facing the river and surrounded by lush greenery, we could feel the fresh airflow. The private baths, available without a Reservation whenever you feel like stopping by, are each thoughtfully designed and a pleasure to try, and the large public bath is spacious and deeply relaxing. Meals in the dining area are high-quality dishes that make the most of local ingredients, and we also loved the wide selection of all-inclusive drinks. Finishing with coffee and dessert in the lounge made for an outstanding dinner experience. The next morning, after enjoying an early bath, we had an excellent breakfast with items like dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelet) and freshly grilled kinmedai (splendid alfonsino). Thanks to the staff’s warm smiles and exceptional hospitality, we enjoyed a truly wonderful getaway. We would love to return in another season.

While looking for an Accommodation on the Boso Peninsula in Chiba to treat my mother once in a while, I found this place with excellent Reviews and great food, so the two of us stayed here. The Deluxe Twin Room with a garden view even offered a distant view of the coastline, which was truly impressive. I also appreciated the note showing the sunrise time. Dinner was a delicious course meal and very satisfying—I could really feel the chef’s skill. The staff were also extremely polite and left a great impression. Personally, the best part was the quality of the Onsen water. My skin felt smooth after bathing. The slightly salty water kept me warm for a long time, which felt wonderful. The ReFa hair dryer was another big plus. Breakfast was buffet-style with plenty of variety, and the yogurt was especially delicious. In the end, a staff member kindly took our photo at the entrance, making it a memorable mother-and-daughter trip. Thank you for your warm hospitality. Thank you very much.

Staying at Kisshotei with my family this time was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing, the room was clean and cozy, and the staff were all very kind. The meals and hot spring experience were excellent. My family had a wonderful stay, and it left us with great memories from this trip. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi and mobile signal were somewhat unstable, which made it a little inconvenient to use. If this can be improved in the future, the stay would be even more perfect. Overall, I highly recommend it. If I visit Yamanaka Onsen again, I would love to stay at Kisshotei again!

I had a very comfortable stay. Both the property and the Room were clean and well maintained, with thorough housekeeping. The meals were delicious and served in just the right portions. The staff’s service was naturally friendly and made me feel at ease. The only disappointment was that I was looking forward to a beer after my bath, but there was no shop or vending machine, so I had to wait until dinner. That said, this is a rather indulgent request given how well stocked the drink bar in the lobby is. It was an Accommodation I would like to visit again.

This was a truly wonderful Accommodation. Our family takes 2–3 trips a year to an Onsen Accommodation that we can reach from Tokyo for one night, usually spending around JPY 30,000–40,000 per person. My wife chooses the Accommodation each time, but lately none have been memorable or especially appealing—until now. For the first time in a while, we found an Accommodation we genuinely want to visit again. Many of the staff are from Southeast Asia, but they told us they have passed JLPT N1 and also undergo a one-year training period. We never once had any trouble communicating. I previously lived in Thailand for about five years, so I already knew people from Southeast Asia are often even more diligent and hardworking than Japanese people—but I was still impressed by just how much so. Thanks to them, we were able to spend a very comfortable and pleasant time here. These days many staff members don’t wear name tags (perhaps due to measures against customer harassment), so I didn’t catch anyone’s name, but I would like to sincerely thank the woman who took care of our Room—she was wonderful and very thoughtful. The heartfelt send-off by all staff after checkout truly moved me. As for the Onsen: honestly, both the water quality and the bath itself felt fairly standard, though everything was very clean. One thing I noticed is that it’s great not having to bring towels into the bath area; however, you still need to carry things like fresh underwear or your phone. In the end I used a plastic shopping bag out of necessity, but it would be helpful if you could provide (and leave in the Room) a larger drawstring pouch like those commonly found at other Onsen facilities. Also, my wife said she felt scared because it was dark on the way to the large bath and inside the bathing area as well. Lastly, we felt that the air conditioner noise was slightly loud—just mentioning this in case it helps. And finally—the meals were outstanding! The balance, portion size, and taste were all impeccable. Because I’m quite big (and eat a lot), meals at most Accommodations aren’t enough for me; this time I shared small portions of my wife’s meal with our son as well and still felt about 90% full—in other words, very satisfied without being overly stuffed. While breakfast is often disappointing at many places these days, breakfast here was also excellent—especially because it wasn’t that typical thin and overly crispy dried horse mackerel you often see elsewhere. And above all: the wasabi was delicious! Being able to get refills freely made it even better. In any case, we definitely want to come again—thank you very much.

The meals were truly outstanding. The sake pairings were also excellent. This is an Accommodation I definitely want to return to for the first time in a while.
