Thank you for picking us up at the station—it was very helpful. The seafood dinner and kamameshi were incredibly delicious, and we ate a lot! The bath was wonderful, and the Room was spacious and very comfortable. The front desk staff were also kind and helpful.

We stayed with three children, and the Room was spacious and comfortable.

The staff were kind and left a great impression! The breakfast staff, in particular, were excellent. The meals were all delicious and satisfying, but it would be nice to have a few more warm dishes. I would love to stay here again.

I walked from the station to the Hotel while sightseeing along the way. I visited a shrine before checking in, and when I did check in, my Room had a view of that shrine. Since it was easy to get there from the parking lot side, I thought I might have been better off checking in first, but the view of the sea from the slope below the shrine was wonderful, so it felt like I got to enjoy it twice. The meals were served in small dishes that were easy to pick up, so dining went smoothly. Everything was delicious and very satisfying. The bath was also great, but if I had one request, the shower position was low and a bit difficult to use. Since it was a Sunday stay, it was reasonably priced and much appreciated. I would like to stay again if I have another opportunity.

❶Even though it was 30 minutes before check-in time, they let us check in because the Room was ready. ❷Although breakfast starts at 7:00, they opened the dining area a little early for us. ❸Even after checkout, they kindly allowed us to leave our car since we had a tournament, which made it easy to walk to the tennis courts just a 2-minute walk away. ❹The coffee machine in the lobby is available 24 hours—a very generous touch (lol). We truly appreciated everything and will definitely stay here again next time.

A relaxing Accommodation that makes you want to stay again. The staff were very courteous and attentive. Breakfast was served in a lovely atmosphere, and it was very filling. The only drawback is that the on-site parking lot is very narrow. Our car required quite a bit of maneuvering and someone guiding us; there is also a flat lot farther away, but considering the weather and our luggage, we chose the closer option. It’s within walking distance of the bus stop, so we were able to go out after check-in as well.

This has long been one of my favorite Accommodations, and the renovation has made it even more refined. The meals are no longer all-you-can-eat, but the kaiseki cuisine was still very satisfying. The open-air bath is outstanding.

We stayed as a family of five, and the hospitality was outstanding. Although they call it a welcome drink, the drink corner was available almost all day throughout our Hotel stay, and until dinner there was even unlimited sparkling wine. In addition to the dagashi (Japanese snack) buffet service and amenities such as lotion, they also offered rentals like a baby formula maker and board games—everything you could ask for. The manga corner wasn’t just about the number of volumes; it also had sofas and cozy hideaway-like spaces, so we spent blissful time there. There are sofa reading areas and kids’ spaces throughout the building, making it truly relaxing.\nThe breakfast and dinner buffets didn’t use luxury ingredients, but there were many delicious, well-thought-out dishes. Alcohol was also all-you-can-drink, and we could compare local sake varieties. The kids-only buffet area and automatic pancake oven were fun, and we also enjoyed local specialties such as hoto hot pot and Fujinomiya yakisoba.\nThere were many international guests as well, but plenty of multilingual signs were posted around the Hotel, and everyone followed Japanese manners, so there was no stress at all.\nBecause the building has some age to it, it had a Showa-retro feel; however, Facility such as the toilets were updated to modern models, so it didn’t bother us at all for a family trip.\nWe would love to come again with our whole family.

A prior Review mentioned that there were many foreign staff, and it felt like most of the staff were non-Japanese. However, their Japanese was very good and the service was fine, so it didn’t bother me. Amenities are placed in the lobby and you take what you need yourself. They had plenty, including toner, makeup remover, shampoo, etc. You can drink coffee and tea for free at the cafe corner, which was a nice service. The meals were mainly Japanese cuisine and were delicious. Personally, I loved the stylish and cute small plates used for the dishes. The bath was pleasant too, but I felt there weren’t enough hair dryers. Especially for women who need more time to dry their hair, I ended up thinking I’d have to wait my turn… and that it might be faster to go back to my Room with wet hair and dry it there. The view from the Room was great and was the best part. The mountains and river looked beautiful—wonderful scenery.

Thank you for having me for one night. I had made a Reservation for a standard Room, but since rain was forecast, I changed to a Room with an open-air Onsen bath on the day. Choosing to soak at a slightly cooler temperature while listening to the rain turned out to be exactly right. The Room was well designed and functional, and I didn’t feel any particular inconvenience. If I had to name one thing I personally wished for, it would be a Bluetooth speaker—I wanted to play a little music, though that may be asking too much. I arrived before noon, left my luggage, and had lunch at “Saryo Sese” on the property (I had requested seats in advance). It’s not cheap, but it was relaxed and enjoyable. After that, I spent some time walking around the city and then checked in properly. The evening champagne free-flow was also wonderfully unhurried, and the rice crackers served as snacks were delicious. For dinner we ate at one of the Hotel restaurants as well; each dish had its own character, and it paired nicely with drinks. If anything, I only wished there were a bar in the Hotel—this is an Accommodation with an atmosphere where having somewhere for “one more drink” would fit perfectly. The area around the Hotel is very quiet too, so even a small bar could really change how you spend your time here. That said, given the location, waking up early to stroll toward Todai-ji in the calm morning is also lovely—and perhaps that kind of stay suits this Accommodation and setting better than staying up late. The concierge team helped me greatly throughout my stay. Overall it was an excellent Accommodation, and I’d love to return when I visit Nara again.

I have stayed here multiple times, and the reception staff is always kind and efficient, making it a pleasant experience. Although I requested no cleaning, it was disappointing that there was no replacement of towels or linens. The ReFa and amenities in the Ladies' Plan were very satisfying.

The Room was “Mangetsu.” There are four Rooms, with over 20 tatami mats across the main tatami area and the bedroom. With a total of over 97 m², it felt like a truly luxurious space. The furnishings and Room coordination were wonderful. The hinoki bath was very spacious, and because the added hot water was quite hot, we could soak without it cooling down. In the garden, there was even a discreet box with straw sandals inside, and there was an annex that remained closed—both adding to the atmosphere. Service: The front desk staff were kind. They accommodated two changes to our dinner plans. It was also fun hearing local stories. Meals: Breakfast was delicious. Dinner was at a local sushi restaurant. The grilled isaki (grunt fish) was plump and tasty, enjoyed together with its crispy skin. The sushi portions were very generous as well. If I had to ask for one thing, I would have liked a few more vegetable dishes.

We stayed here for a 50th birthday trip with two classmates from Osaka and two from the Kanto area. Our Room was on the 3rd floor, so the view was of the sea beyond the parking lot. It wasn’t the view shown in the photos, which was disappointing. The bath was a hinoki bath, and the Onsen was great. Google Maps guided us to approach from the stairs side, so we had to take a longer route. There were also two toilets, and the Room was clean, so we had a wonderful time.

Amazing value for money! The Room was spacious and clean. I also loved the pillow selection service—I slept soundly! The bath had separate hours for men and women, so it felt a bit rushed, but it was spacious and even had an open-air bath with floating rose petals, which was wonderful. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet as well!

This was my first stay here. The new building is a bit far from the baths, but it was very clean and comfortable. The bath left my skin feeling smooth, and the Onsen was excellent. The dining place I used offers set meals at reasonable, fair prices. The horse mackerel sashimi set meal was very fresh and delicious. It seems that both the Onsen and the dining place can be used by non-guests as well. Since the price doubles for two guests, I wish it were a bit more affordable. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to stay again.

I made a last-minute Reservation the day before and stayed for the first time in several years. The Room was in the separate annex on the 1st floor and was spacious for two people, new, and very clean. Although there was no view, we were able to relax at a leisurely pace. Regarding the bath showers, one shower stall was out of order. Since only two people had used it before us, we were able to wash without any issues, but I think it could be inconvenient when it is crowded. Also, I was disappointed that there was no hairbrush among the amenities in the bath area. There wasn’t one at the Room’s sink either, so I recommend that future guests bring their own. As others have mentioned, breakfast did not feel very filling and left me wanting a bit more. However, the coffee served after the meal was fragrant and delicious.

I visit Sugadaira every summer, so I check early, but I can never get a Reservation. This time I happened to get one, so it was my first stay. The area around the Hotel is very quiet, and the view from the Room is wonderful. After soaking in the Onsen, my skin stayed moisturized for a while. Everyone—at the front desk and in the restaurant—was truly pleasant and welcoming, and I had a great time. The buffet made the most of fresh vegetables and was thoughtfully prepared rather than relying on cheap ready-made sauces, and it was delicious. Since it’s so hard to secure an Accommodation Reservation here, I’d come just for the meal. There was a sheet listing the names of the mountains visible from the Room window, hooks placed throughout the Room for hanging clothes (probably for winter ski wear), a towel provided for use at the washbasin, and even a cube-shaped power strip with five outlets. It’s a Hotel with attentive care down to every detail. I would definitely like to stay again if I can get another Reservation.

The Room was very bright and clean thanks to the overhead light with daylight-white color temperature. Bright sunlight also came in through the window, which felt wonderful. I chose this affordable Hotel with breakfast mainly for its convenient location near the station, but I was very satisfied and would like to stay here again next time. They also provided deodorant wipes and a welcome drink service, making for a very fulfilling stay.

I stayed for business. The building itself feels a bit dated with age, but it was very well cleaned, and above all the breakfast was truly delicious, so I was extremely satisfied. I’ve stayed at many business hotels, and this had the best breakfast! There was a great selection unique to Fukui Prefecture: Fukui-grown Koshihikari rice, Fukui-grown pickled plums, miso-braised mackerel, sauce katsudon-style cutlet, Echizen soba, and more. Even the shredded cabbage in the salad tasted noticeably fresh. It’s on the top floor with a great panoramic view. Air conditioning: It’s centrally controlled so I initially worried it might be warm, but it cooled properly—no issues. Amenities: If you need them, you can pick them up in the lobby. Refrigerator: Cools well. It was already turned on when I arrived. Parking: Not very large, but I was able to park.
