It was a wonderfully attentive Accommodation. The food was delicious—above all, the rice was outstanding. The grilled fish was cooked perfectly, and the sashimi was fresh and very tasty. I was also very happy with the late-night rice ball and message. Breakfast had a great variety and was exciting as well. Personally, I especially appreciated having rice porridge. It was raining when we left, but thank you for carrying our luggage to the car. You also lent us an umbrella, so we were able to get to the car without getting wet. I forgot something behind, but I can only be grateful for your kind and careful assistance. I would definitely like to stay again. Thank you for letting us relax and enjoy our time there.

This Accommodation in Kusatsu, one of Japan’s premier Onsen destinations, offered such outstanding cuisine that it made us want to visit for the food rather than the Onsen. One beautifully crafted dish after another was served on a lovely white lacquered table. Everything was delicious and a delight for both the eyes and the palate. Breakfast was equally satisfying, and you could really feel the care and effort put into it from early morning. Of course, the Onsen was also excellent, with a location right in front of Jizo Onsen. The three private baths with free-flowing hot spring water were not by Reservation; instead, we checked availability on a tablet and entered when open, which let us enjoy all three without any stress. The Room was spacious, and the staff’s attentive yet unobtrusive service made everything very comfortable. After returning home, I’ve been recommending it to my friends as a must-visit.

The food was absolutely delicious. We were also very satisfied that the private Onsen bath was available 24 hours a day. The hostess kindly told us about nearby sightseeing spots, which made our trip even more enjoyable. We would love to visit again with my husband.

I was impressed by every aspect of this stay. First, the food was truly outstanding. Not only were the ingredients excellent, but the menu featured an abundance of seasonal items that are hard to come by in everyday life—such as longtooth grouper (kue), Shizuoka-brand eel “Deshiko,” pike conger (hamo), kuruma prawns, and Kamo eggplant—and I was moved by each dish. There wasn’t a single miss: the dashi flavor came through beautifully, and the balance of ingredients and seasoning in every course was exquisite. The overall satisfaction was so high that it honestly felt surprising to be able to stay at this price while being served cuisine of such a high level. The Onsen was also wonderful. The bath area is new and kept very clean, so it was comfortable to use. In particular, Umenoya’s unique natural spring water at around 30°C was perfect for this hot season. Alternating it with the indoor bath at around 40°C left me feeling refreshed after bathing and made for a truly relaxing time. I highly recommend trying it this way. Above all, what left the strongest impression was the hospitality of the staff. When I accidentally dropped my chopsticks during dinner, one staff member immediately noticed and picked them up, and another staff member who saw this brought me a fresh pair. Their seamless teamwork showed how well they communicate on a daily basis, which really moved me. The proprietress has such a warm presence—always smiling and speaking to guests in a friendly way. Despite her young age, her attentiveness to guests and her awareness of everything throughout the Ryokan are exceptional; I don’t often encounter someone capable of providing hospitality at this level. It was an Accommodation that left me completely satisfied with its cuisine, Onsen, and service. I would love to return in another season to enjoy more delicious food and the Onsen again.

Surrounded by delicious meals, a free-flowing natural hot spring bath, and adorable cats, I was able to spend a gentle, peaceful time. Thank you very much.

Takechintei, located within the vast Mifuneyama Rakuen grounds, was a wonderful Accommodation filled with warm hospitality. The staff’s thoughtful care was exceptional, and we were truly grateful for service beyond what we could have hoped for. Although July was already extremely hot, the breeze in the forest was pleasant, and we enjoyed a refreshing walk among the trees. The meals were also a delight, with the chef’s finest dishes beautifully presented on carefully selected tableware such as Arita ware. Some dishes felt slightly sweet to me as someone from the Kanto region, but I felt they were of a refined restaurant quality that goes beyond typical Onsen Ryokan cuisine. Next time, I would love to stay during the season when 5,000 cherry blossoms or azaleas are in bloom. Thank you very much.

It was my first time back in Yufuin in about 40 years. It has now become a famous Onsen destination visited by many people, and since this Accommodation is located in an area popular with tourists, I was a little worried it might be noisy. However, once I stepped inside, a calm space opened up that made me forget the bustle outside. This time we stayed in a Room with an open-air bath. Perhaps because the building is relatively new, everything—including the shower room—was kept very clean and well maintained, and we were able to relax comfortably throughout our stay. The meals were also very carefully prepared, with an ideal portion size and excellent quality that even we, as an elderly couple, could fully enjoy. The staff kindly helped us choose drinks as well, and we enjoyed their recommended delicious sake. The location is outstanding too—right across from Snoopy Town and just a short walk to Lake Kinrin. We were fortunate to find such a wonderful Accommodation on our long-awaited return to Yufuin. It has become one of our favorite places to stay, and we would love to return again when we visit Yufuin. Thank you very much.

I made a Reservation because the riverside location seemed convenient for sightseeing. I chose the smallest Room, and it was fun in its own way. However, I hadn’t checked that the bed was a single, and since I move around a lot in my sleep, that was the only disappointment. The bath didn’t have many different types of water, but it had a nice atmosphere and I enjoyed it. What disappointed me was the pace of the meal service. I wanted to take my time, but it was too fast and we left after 40 minutes. Also, perhaps because they were not Japanese staff, there were a few moments when the explanations were unclear. That said, all of the staff were very pleasant and kind. I’d like to stay again during the winter illuminations. Thank you very much.

We stayed for one night. The Onsen was wonderful and very relaxing. The meals were delicious, and we really enjoyed chatting with the staff member who took care of us, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Since we were traveling to Nagasaki the next day, we truly appreciated your thoughtful arrangement to serve breakfast earlier. Thanks to you, it became a very fun girls’ trip. After returning home, we heard about the major earthquake in Kumamoto and are very concerned. We are also survivors of the Kobe earthquake 30 years ago, and we still remember how difficult it is without lifelines and how frightening aftershocks can be. We are sending our support from Kobe and hope Kurokawaso and Kumamoto Prefecture will recover as soon as possible. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day. I’m sorry my review is late. At this Accommodation, we were worried about making check-in on time due to unexpected traffic, but they handled it with incredible kindness and flexibility. We told them—though we didn’t know exactly when we would arrive—that we really wanted to have dinner, and they warmly replied, “We’ll be waiting.” In the end, we made it in time and were able to enjoy the meal without delay. It wasn’t an overly luxurious kind of service, but rather thoughtful hospitality that anticipated what guests might need—whether in the Room, the bath, or the meals. There was also live entertainment: a staff member performed a singing-and-guitar set during dinner. We had no idea there would be live music, so it was a wonderful surprise. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding, featuring seasonal ingredients and local specialties unique to the area. From presentation to flavor, everything was beyond words and truly enjoyable. I only wish we could have checked in earlier so we could have enjoyed more of the Accommodation. We would love to visit again.

I found this Ryokan while looking for a trip to give my boyfriend as a birthday present, also as a thank-you for his proposal. This was an important trip for me, and everything—from the hospitality to the Onsen, the food, and the Room—was wonderful. It was a truly heartwarming Ryokan. When I asked about bringing in wine as a surprise, they responded and accommodated my request promptly and with great care. I didn’t expect such thoughtful support, and I’m very grateful. In the end, he was delighted, and we were able to spend a lovely time together. While searching for a Ryokan, I saw many reviews praising the hospitality, and after staying here I completely understand why. The service from our attendant and all other staff was excellent, making this trip even more special. We also enjoyed seasonal flavors in the cuisine, and since it was served in our Room we could relax and enjoy it at our own pace. The words said to us at departure—“We look forward to welcoming you again in another season”—left a strong impression on me. We would love to visit again.

This was my first stay in Yufuin, and I chose this Accommodation. The staff’s hospitality was very pleasant, and both dinner and breakfast were a delight—each dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, making it a truly blissful time. The Onsen was wonderful as well; after bathing, my skin felt silky smooth. Another Accommodation I’d love to visit again has been added to my list.

I stayed for the first time in a Room with an open-air bath with my elderly mother. After arriving, we enjoyed welcome sweets, and the experience began on an elegant note. The dinner menu was very cute, we could choose our chopsticks, and each time a dish was served, we were impressed by both the beautiful tableware and the cuisine. Every dish was delicious. We were able to dine quietly and at a relaxed pace. Dining while watching the sunset felt truly elegant. For breakfast, the croissants were especially delicious. Both the open-air bath in our Room and the large public bath were wonderfully soothing, and my mother was very happy as well. I also used the massage chair twice. Thank you for carrying our luggage to our car when we left. It’s an Accommodation I would love to stay at again! Thank you for such a blissful time.

We visited during Golden Week for a birthday trip. From the warm welcome to the lounge, Room, baths, and meals, everything throughout our stay was wonderful and made it a truly unforgettable trip. The view from the Room was beautiful, and we were able to spend a relaxing, luxurious time. Every dish was genuinely delicious; even though the portions were generous, it was so good that I finished everything for the first time. All of the staff were consistently kind and attentive, which made our entire stay very comfortable. We also went to an outside bath, but it was quite crowded—so much so that we felt completely satisfied with just the Ryokan’s baths. In particular, the in-Room bath had perfect temperature and excellent water quality, and it was incredibly soothing. I’ve been traveling about once every two months for many years, but this is the first Ryokan that truly made me think, “I definitely want to come back.” Next time, I’d love to visit during crab season. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

We arrived a little early, kindly left our car, and took a stroll around the area. Right away, we visited Suwa Taisha Shimosha Akimiya Shrine next door. In the backstreets of this historic townscape, you can find Onsen springs here and there—perfect for wandering at leisure. Both inside and outside the property felt very clean, showing careful management throughout. The staff’s smiles, service, and conversation were all refined; we truly felt their hospitality and attentiveness, which made our stay very comfortable. From the Room we stayed in—named “Kirishima”—we enjoyed a view of the grove surrounding Suwa Taisha Shimosha Akimiya Shrine, full of charm and atmosphere. Both dinner and breakfast featured local ingredients, and everything was delicious. We could also sense how dedicated the staff were, which made dining even more enjoyable. Bathing in the panoramic large public bath while looking out over the townscape glowing at dusk was exceptional. The water was a gentle Onsen that seemed to softly cling to the skin. Although it wasn’t in our original plans, we stopped by Harmo Museum about 7–8 minutes away by car after receiving a recommendation as we checked out. Driving along the well-maintained lakeside of Lake Suwa and enjoying wonderful paintings became a great memory for us. It was a truly relaxing Accommodation for adults—wonderful in every way. This was the Accommodation I had wanted to stay at on my first trip to Yamaguchi Prefecture. The Accommodation was very clean and quiet, and I was able to relax in a calm atmosphere. The Room was spacious, and the view of the reflecting pool from the terrace was beautiful. The open-air bath in the Room had free-flowing natural hot spring water, which felt wonderful. At the bar lounge, I enjoyed complimentary drinks while chatting with the staff and had a great time. I highly recommend this Accommodation for anyone looking to spend a relaxing stay for a special anniversary or simply to unwind and forget about everyday life.

Choosing Dogo Miyu for my first visit to Dogo Onsen was absolutely the right decision. The Room had a wonderful atmosphere, and I was able to relax comfortably, and the meals were also delicious. (Because I don’t eat much, breakfast was a bit too much for me and I’m sorry I couldn’t finish it. I tried a little of everything, and every dish was truly delicious.) Above all, the staff’s hospitality was outstanding. It was extremely hot during our stay, and one of my family members became unwell, but we are very grateful for all your thoughtful care and support. When we come back to Dogo Onsen, we will definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your heartfelt hospitality during our three-day, two-night stay. Every dish made with local ingredients was deeply flavorful, and the free-flowing natural hot spring water was so soothing it felt as if both body and mind were gently unwinding—my spouse and I were truly refreshed. On the second day, we enjoyed a full round at a golf club near the Accommodation. Although it was extremely hot, the Onsen we had upon returning eased our fatigue, and once again we were reminded of how wonderful BeniyA’s hot spring water is. Also, whenever we encountered your warm smiles and greetings—especially from the attendant in charge of us—we felt at ease. Even a brief word when passing in the hallway showed such thoughtfulness, and we are sincerely grateful that we could spend our entire stay so comfortably. In addition, hearing from the proprietress about the kitchen knives left a strong impression on us—particularly as it came just after seeing news about a female figure skater receiving Japan’s People’s Honour Award. On our way to the large public bath, we caught a glimpse of the kitchen area and felt anew that these knives support your delicious cuisine every day. This trip became a cherished memory for us as a couple. We would love to visit again in another season—and next time, we hope to enjoy winter crab delicacies.

The three of us—my 86-year-old father, my brother, and I—stayed here. When I mentioned during the Reservation that my father is elderly, they kindly upgraded us on the day to a Room with a private indoor Onsen bath fed directly from the source. My father was delighted and said he could truly relax and enjoy the Onsen. Everyone at the Ryokan, starting with the proprietress, was very kind. Their service was warm yet respectfully unobtrusive, which we really appreciated. Our Room was a traditional-style Japanese-Western suite inspired by an old farmhouse; it was spacious and luxurious, and we couldn’t help but admire the impressive beams. We were shown to a private dining room for our meal, which we had been looking forward to. The dishes were served at our pace, allowing us to savor delicious food and drinks in complete comfort. It was a wonderful Accommodation that made us want to return again after quite some time away. Thank you so much to the proprietress and all staff for your exceptional hospitality!

We stayed in Room 401 with an open-air bath. The deep, expansive views, delicious food, and Onsen were all wonderful, but above all, we were most impressed by the warmth and kindness of the staff. Even among Accommodations in the same price range, many do not see guests off, so we truly appreciated it. It made us want to come back even more. Thank you very much.
