Thank you for hosting us during our visit to watch a Yakult Swallows game. It is an old Hotel, but it was very clean and well maintained. The staff were polite and pleasant, which made our stay comfortable. If there is another game in Matsuyama, we would be happy to stay here again.

We stayed as a family with our pet rabbit. Every staff member welcomed us with warm smiles and kind service, and the female staff at the dining area in particular spoke to our rabbit and took lots of photos for us, so our rabbit was able to relax and feel comfortable. The meals were also filling, with fresh and luxurious boat platters of sashimi, tempura, and more. As it was a Multiple Night Stay, when we returned from going out on the second day, fresh towels, extra trash bags, and replacements such as the kettle and teacups had been prepared for us, which we truly appreciated. We were also very grateful that there was no time limit for bathing. The Onsen left our skin smooth and silky, and even after returning home my skin continued to feel great. There happened to be the Shirarahama Fireworks Festival during our stay, and they kindly told us how to get to the venue as well as good viewing spots, which was very helpful. Since there are only a limited number of Accommodation where you can stay with a rabbit, we’re really glad we found such a wonderful place. We would love to stay again.

About a three-hour drive from Osaka. Just the right distance for a getaway. Both the check-in service and the Room cleaning were excellent. The interior isn’t particularly stylish, but it had a warm, homey feel. It was my first time trying the radon hot-air bath, and it made my body feel noticeably lighter. You simply enter a Room filled with low-temperature steam and lie on a bed for about 30 minutes. I was told that hot-air bath facilities containing high concentrations of radium are extremely rare! After the hot-air bath, I rinsed off in the large public bath. The water there isn’t too hot either, so you can enjoy it for a long time. I didn’t have high expectations for dinner, but everything I tried tasted delicious. I also heard that since a new head chef took over, the food has earned an even better reputation. I chose the most affordable kaiseki course; it was flavorful and reasonably filling. It was a therapeutic-style kaiseki inspired by traditional Onsen healing stays, with gentle dishes that felt good for the body. The dining staff were also polite and attentive. Misasa Onsen has a lovely town atmosphere as well, and I was able to truly relax both physically and mentally—an authentic modern take on therapeutic Onsen bathing. There aren’t many places like this; among all the Onsens I’ve visited so far, this is definitely one of my top three! I’d love to stay again.

Since the Room we selected was on the 4th floor, we got quite tired going back and forth three round trips down to the 1st floor (for walking our dog, etc.), plus meals and the bath (four round trips up to the 2nd floor) (lol). Next time, we’ll choose a Room on the 1st or 2nd floor (lol). Other than that, there were no problems. Our dog was happy, and the food was delicious too. (We are an elderly couple, aged 75 and 70.)

The cuisine, hospitality, Onsen, location, and bicycle rentals—everything was wonderful.

In its calm setting, this Accommodation had the quiet charm of Shimosuwa and gently helped me unwind from the fatigue of travel. The bath was “Wata no Yu.” The water felt soft and soothing on the skin, warming me through to the core. There is also a private open-air bath, and it was wonderfully relaxing to soak in silence without worrying about anyone around. Breakfast was unhurried as well, and I could enjoy it slowly in a peaceful atmosphere. Combined with Shimosuwa’s crisp morning air, it felt like a time that refreshed even my mind. It’s also conveniently located for visiting Suwa Taisha Shrine and exploring Shimosuwa on foot—an Accommodation I’d love to return to.

I debated for a long time whether to write a Review, but I decided to do so. The food was excellent, and I was satisfied with the bath. However, there were several shortcomings in how my comments entered at the time of Reservation via IKYU were handled, which left me disappointed.

Herbal medicinal teas before and after meals are also a nice touch. At dinner, you can drink as much as you like of your preferred beverages, including alcohol, and every dish was truly delicious. Although we stayed on a weekday, they kindly served us the weekend-only sashimi as well, which we enjoyed with fresh wasabi! The baths were crowded, so we couldn’t relax as much as we’d hoped, but overall we were satisfied. However, it was disappointing that the futon in the Japanese-style room was quite thin.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights and five days on our golden wedding anniversary trip. The meals and service were excellent. We also truly appreciated the beautifully and carefully written travel itinerary, which became a wonderful keepsake. Thank you very much.

I was finally able to visit “Ura-Kusatsu Tou,” a place I’d been curious about for a long time. Located in the Ura-Kusatsu area, just a short distance from the bustle of Yubatake, the moment you step inside you’ll find a beautifully curated space where traditional craftsmanship and modern design come together. Every corner of the Accommodation is picture-perfect. From interiors accented with traditional crafts to warm, inviting lighting, you can feel the attention to detail throughout. It was an Accommodation with a calm atmosphere—perfect for an adults-only getaway. Relax from the core with “Jizo Gensen” The greatest highlight here is, of course, the Onsen fed by “Jizo Gensen.” Among Kusatsu’s many hot spring sources, “Jizo-no-Yu” is said to be rare due to its low output. Its gentle feel on the skin and subtle milky hue were wonderfully soothing, and I could truly relax from deep within. Not only in the large public bath but throughout the building, there are thoughtful touches that create a sense of gentle “sway,” making it feel as if everyday fatigue simply melts away. Dinner and breakfast were served in a serene dining space. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious enough to make you happy with each bite. Breakfast also felt luxurious: colorful small plates lined up alongside freshly cooked rice. An Accommodation where you can fully enjoy both the Onsen and the cuisine—I left completely satisfied in both heart and stomach. The Room was spotless and comfortable—functional yet designed with a calming Japanese aesthetic. The staff maintained just the right level of attentiveness; thanks to their courteous service, my stay was pleasant from start to finish. It had been some time since my last visit to Kusatsu Onsen, but this trip helped me rediscover its charm all over again. This wonderful Accommodation lets you experience both the excellence of Jizo Gensen and modern comfort at once—somewhere I would love to return again.

I stay here regularly. I love the quality of the hot spring water, and I can adjust the temperature in the Room’s open-air bath to a lukewarm soak and relax at my own pace, which is very satisfying. The meals are consistently excellent every time I visit. Since it’s not a large Hotel, it never feels crowded, so I can unwind comfortably. It’s clean, and the service is impeccable. Many locals come for day-use bathing from early morning as well—proof of how good the hot spring water is.

Upon arrival at the Accommodation, a female staff member greeted us with a gentle smile and warm hospitality, making it a wonderful memory. We were also very satisfied with the welcome drink service, which included coffee and a small Danish pastry.

I stay here 2–3 times a year. There are two baths, so it’s nice to be able to choose depending on my mood. This time I stayed one night and used them four times. The greenery around the open-air bath was vivid. Meals are buffet-style all you can eat, but perhaps because of my age I can’t eat that much anymore, so I enjoyed small portions of what I liked. Everything was delicious.

It was a Room with an open-air bath, looking up at Gifu Castle and gazing down at the gentle flow of the Nagara River. We didn’t use the rooftop open-air bath or the large public bath—the in-Room open-air bath alone was more than enough. We also got to experience cormorant fishing, which made it feel truly special. Breakfast seemed to be Japanese-style only (?), but that was absolutely the right choice—it was delicious. It made me think, “I want to live in this Room!”

The building feels a bit old, but it is well maintained and there were no issues. The hospitality was excellent, with thoughtful attention to detail throughout. The meals were delicious as well—nothing to complain about. The stargazing tour was also great, and I would like to visit again in a different season.

We really enjoyed the many great services, such as a welcome cake, all-you-can-eat ice cream, and evening cocktail service—wonderful not only for children but also for women. The pillow height was just right, so I slept very well. Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay.

This riverside Accommodation was truly wonderful. Meals weren’t the typical one-set Ryokan style; there were several choices available. The portions were just right—not too much—so I could sleep well at night, and I also felt thoughtful attention to detail throughout. I was especially grateful that, unlike many places, there was no noise from children during meals, so I could enjoy everything quietly and at a relaxed pace. Dining while enjoying the cool breeze and scenery through the riverside windows became an unforgettable time. For bathing, I used a private bath. Because I have surgical scars, I was most grateful that they prepared a private bath where I could bathe with peace of mind. The free-flowing natural spring water was beautifully pure and felt cleansing even to the soul. The Room had double-pane windows for soundproofing and insulation, showing how carefully it had been renovated. Since I’m not used to sitting on tatami floors in daily life, having a bed and table made the Room very comfortable, and I appreciated that consideration. Also, as someone with strong cleanliness preferences, I really appreciated the small but thoughtful touch of providing unopened individually wrapped pocket tissues instead of a partly used box of tissues often found in Ryokan. The meals were also pleasing for someone like me who pays attention to additives; in particular, they had a nostalgic flavor that reminded me of my grandmother’s cooking—she was especially good at German cuisine. The juice served was freshly squeezed as well, and it was clear that each dish had been prepared with great care. I was genuinely happy to find an Accommodation like this in Japan. Both the proprietress and her husband were very friendly and interacted with me at just the right distance—even though I’m shy—so my stay felt truly comfortable. If I have another chance to visit Gero Onsen, I would love to book a Multiple Night Stay—starting the morning with German beer and then enjoying lunch as well. Thank you very much for such a pleasant stay.

The Onsen water had a pleasantly silky feel. The Room was thoroughly cleaned, and the futon was fluffy and comfortable.

The sunrise view from the panoramic bath, delicious dinner and breakfast—this was a wonderful Accommodation.

Not only the Room but the entire property was very clean and well maintained, which made our stay very pleasant. If you go to the bath at 6:00 a.m., something good might happen.
