I took a bus from Tokyo Station, got off at Highway Oasis Furari, and walked a little over 20 minutes. The road is somewhat difficult to walk on, but it’s not a busy street. Bath: Private-use only, with an indoor bath and an open-air bath as a set. It was clean, a comfortable size, and the water temperature wasn’t too hot—really nice. Room: Traditional Japanese-style. The futon was already laid out, so I relaxed and lounged around. There’s also a toilet and washbasin. I visited on a very humid day, so there was that distinctive tatami-room scent—nostalgic. And since there were shoji screens, I naturally woke up with the morning light. Meals: Absolutely amazing—just as rumored. Everything tasted great. It was my first time trying squid-leg croquettes, and they were delicious. Breakfast had lots of options too, and I ended up getting seconds of rice without thinking. The after-meal coffee was also excellent. The sea is close by as well; I went before breakfast and started the day feeling refreshed. Overall, this Accommodation is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy lots of fish dishes. Everyone greeted me with smiles, so I could relax comfortably and freely throughout my stay. The high ratings were well deserved—I’d love to come again.

I chose to stay here because of its charming atmosphere, and I was sure my husband would like it too. Before booking, I called to ask about the room amenities. The head chef handed the call over to a female staff member, but her tone felt a bit harsh, and for a moment I hesitated about staying. However, once we actually arrived, that impression completely changed. Everyone who assisted us during our stay was very warm and welcoming, with genuine hospitality, and there was nothing at all that concerned me. The property was spotless throughout, and the lounge was comfortable—I was able to relax at ease. Above all, the food was outstanding. Each dish was prepared with great care while considering harmony with soy sauce, and I could truly feel the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and passion behind the cooking. Although the dishes made excellent use of soy sauce flavors, they never left an overly salty aftertaste—even after finishing everything—and I enjoyed every bite until the end. Because dinner was so exceptional, I would have been even happier if breakfast had been a bit more substantial. Including not only the cuisine but also the atmosphere and overall comfort of the inn, it became a truly memorable stay. This is a place I would definitely like to return to.

This was our first trip with our beloved dog (a black Mameshiba), and we really enjoyed it—the meals were delicious, and the private bath was very spacious, so we could relax at length. Our dog was also thrilled with walks through the pine grove and along the sandy beach. If we have another chance to visit Awaji Island, we’d love to stay here again.

We stayed here on the first night of our 4-night, 5-day trip to Toyama to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday—Toyama is her favorite place. There were three of us (mother and daughters), and since we don’t eat large portions, we were worried about whether we could finish a full auberge course meal. We contacted them in advance, and they kindly discussed various options with us. In the end, my mother was thrilled—she even finished not only her share but mine as well, enjoying crab that had just come into season. Every dish showcased outstanding craftsmanship, and we enjoyed the food served on beautiful tableware passed down through generations from the owner’s father and grandfather. They also prepared an 88th-birthday red vest (chanchanko) and hat for her, and the photos we took are a wonderful keepsake. The glass-walled bath with its breathtaking view was amazing, and thanks to their carefully chosen bedding, we slept very comfortably. It was satisfying in every way beyond just the cuisine. The owners are a truly warm and lovely couple, and it felt like the entire auberge was wrapped in that welcoming atmosphere.

We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it turned into a truly wonderful stay. We don’t drink alcohol, and when we mentioned that, they kindly replaced the drinks in the Room refrigerator with non-alcoholic options. We really appreciated such thoughtful attention. At dinner, they also gave my husband a single rose as a birthday gift. We were deeply moved by this unexpected and lovely gesture, and it became a great birthday memory. From the open-air bath in our Room, we could look out over the lake—the view was absolutely stunning. Soaking in the open-air bath while enjoying the expansive scenery was incredibly relaxing, and being able to enjoy the Onsen at our own pace whenever we liked felt like a real luxury. Dinner was delicious as well—especially the pizza! It was so good that we ended up having two. If I had to mention one small concern, since it’s surrounded by nature there were quite a few insects. When we tried to use the open-air bath at night, many bugs (like stink bugs) had gathered there, so unfortunately we gave up bathing at that time. That said, I think that’s simply part of staying in such a natural setting. More than anything else, what stayed with us were the view from our Room, the Onsen, the food, and the staff’s warm hospitality. We were able to celebrate my husband’s birthday in a wonderful way and made lasting memories. Thank you very much.

Every season, I’m moved by the nature, the cuisine, and the hospitality. This time, even the rainy scenery felt mystical. Even a single dish reflects its history and background and its connection to the region; together with the staff’s gentle warmth and the atmosphere, it feels like something unique to this place—carefully preserved over a long time. This is the most satisfying Ryokan I have ever stayed at. The hospitality was beyond anything I could have imagined. The owner, the proprietress, and all the staff were wonderful people, and their warmth truly touched my heart. The meals, centered on seafood, featured outstanding ingredients and careful preparation—I was completely satisfied. What deserves special mention is the owner’s 100% buckwheat handmade soba: its aroma and smoothness were exceptional. I live in a prefecture known as a soba mecca, but I have never had soba better than this. Even the breakfast vegetables were all pesticide-free and homegrown, made with real care. The Onsen water was a reddish cloudy spring that felt gentle on the skin and relieved my fatigue. The building has a dignified presence with a sense of history. In every way it was outstanding—an Accommodation that makes you want to return again soon.

During our trip from the main island to Miyakojima, we stayed here for the entire time on the main island. The Room was spacious and very clean! We were truly touched by the honeymoon towel art and flowers that were prepared for us. The view of the ocean and Kouri Bridge from the Room was breathtaking. My husband was thrilled with the Agu pork shabu-shabu dinner. We also dined at a restaurant in the Hotel group, and it was delicious and stylish as well. Breakfast was delivered to our Room, and even during our Multiple Night Stay, they changed the menu each day—everything was so thoughtful. We had a wonderfully relaxing Hotel stay while enjoying a resort atmosphere, and our time on Kouri Island became an unforgettable memory. Thank you very much. We would love to stay again someday.

I think this Accommodation is very comfortable for solo travelers. I was worried about using the bath because I wanted to use it as many times as I liked whenever I wanted, but I was able to enjoy it to my full satisfaction. Breakfast also offered a generous variety. It’s an Accommodation that makes you want to come back anytime. The shakuhachi performance was also a refreshing experience.

This was my first stay, and I was very satisfied. The hotel and the room were both very clean and comfortable. The staff were always smiling, which made me feel cheerful. The shuttle service to Kanazawa Station and the hotel’s dedicated lockers near the station were very convenient.

As someone originally from Nagoya, the TV Tower has been familiar to me since childhood, though it has been 25 years since I left the city. I was truly surprised and moved that such a beautiful hotel had been created here. From the warm welcome on arrival, every member of staff was attentive and kind, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. This time, we were upgraded to a larger room as a Diamond member benefit—what a lovely surprise! The welcome sweets were adorable and absolutely delicious. The view from the room was outstanding, of course. The art displayed throughout the hotel was also captivating, giving the entire property its own unique atmosphere. There were new discoveries everywhere we walked, and we thoroughly enjoyed the art tour as well. Searching for artworks together as a couple became a fun memory too (laugh). And the night view from the observation deck—an exclusive perk for guests—was truly breathtaking! We could take in all of Nagoya’s nightscape at once, making it an unforgettable moment. The hidden-door entrance leading up to the deck was incredibly stylish; its playful touch made us genuinely excited. Breakfast lived up to its reputation—delicious in every way—and we enjoyed a luxurious, happy morning while taking in the amazing view. My wife loved it too and said, “No.1 among all the hotels we’ve ever stayed at!” We’re truly happy to have found a hotel that satisfied both of us wholeheartedly. Thanks to everyone’s heartfelt hospitality, our 25th wedding anniversary became a wonderful memory we will never forget for the rest of our lives. We had a wonderful time enjoying activities such as exploring caves by pleasure boat and at the private beach, and collecting sea glass. What impressed us most was how comfortable the bedding was. We slept very well and would love to use similar bedding at home. If you don’t mind, we would be grateful if you could tell us the manufacturer and product name of the bedding you use. Thank you for such a lovely stay—we were completely satisfied and would definitely like to stay again.

Everything was exceptional from pick-up to send-off. I stayed here after a weekend trek, and upon arrival we were welcomed with a welcome drink, along with a clear and courteous explanation of the Accommodation—brief yet thorough at all the key points. As for dinner, to put it in gourmet terms: “a blissful dining experience woven from artfully presented plates and a refined atmosphere.” In my own words: the ambiance was wonderful, everything was delicious, and I couldn’t wait to see what would come next! The private bath we used after the meal was also perfect—an open-air bath of just the right size, stocked with popular in-bath amenities that were gentle on the skin—so I could truly relax. The futon was very comfortable, and breakfast was healthy and vegetable-focused with delicious rice; the after-meal coffee in the lounge was excellent as well. Thank you for seeing us off so pleasantly at the end. We’ll be back! It really was an amazing weekend.

I booked a one-night stay with breakfast included. Both the room and the baths were very clean. Even though the baths are available 24 hours a day, they were impeccably maintained, which really impressed me. I used the open-air bath and the hinoki bath, and they were wonderful. Skincare items and makeup remover were also provided. Breakfast was delicious as well. Since it’s easy for meals to become unbalanced while traveling, I really appreciated a vegetable-rich breakfast. One of my companions was celebrating a birthday, so I requested a dessert plate, and they prepared a truly lovely one. The staff were very kind, and it was a pension with outstanding hospitality. Thanks to staying here, our trip to Nasu became even more enjoyable. I’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

We stayed again this time with my elderly parents. They are both big fans of Zabo, and had been looking forward to the trip from the moment we booked. We truly had a wonderful time, including the shuttle service, and we sincerely thank you. The comfort of the room, the delicious meals, the hot spring that left our skin silky smooth, and above all the exceptional thoughtfulness of the staff made my parents extremely happy. We would love to visit again.

The Room was clean, and both the indoor bath and open-air bath were very relaxing. Each dish was beautifully prepared—from seasoning to presentation—and everything was delicious. This was a return visit, and I was delighted that you remembered me and greeted me. Once again, it was a stay that made me want to come back. The free-flowing hot spring water was wonderful, and I stayed warm long after my bath. I also truly appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the proprietress kindly offering extra yukata and towels. Every dish was genuinely delicious—not only the sashimi and simmered dishes, but even the rice left a strong impression. I was told it was “Milky Queen glacier rice,” and it was sweet and pleasantly chewy; the rice itself felt like a feast. The dried fish at breakfast was also grilled to crispy perfection all the way to the head, and I ended up eating it neatly to the last bite. I’m grateful for such a delicious meal. Being able to have dinner served in the room is one of this inn’s charms. This time, since I wanted to get some work done in my room as well, I chose to dine in the dining area instead. In that spacious room with large windows—without turning on the TV—I found it incredibly relaxing to take my time and focus on each dish. The chair and table placed in the sunroom area of my room were also perfect for light work and very comfortable. It’s also nice that plenty of coffee and tea are provided. The flowers in the alcove were beautiful and lifted my spirits. The futon bedding was fluffy, too—I slept very well. If I could make just one request, having a power strip in the room would be even more helpful. Other than that, everything was excellent. I’d love to return again for the hot springs, wonderful food, and warm hospitality.

This was our first trip with my daughter and her husband, our grandchild, and two dogs. The Room was very spacious, and our 2-year-old grandchild was thrilled—running around until bedtime. Our Room was on the second floor, and the area below seemed to be around the front desk, so we didn’t have to worry too much about noise for guests downstairs. It was also our dogs’ first overnight stay, so we were a bit anxious, but most guests on the same floor were traveling with dogs as well. We could hear barking here and there, which made it feel relaxed and heartwarming. Having meals served in the Room was wonderful. If I could make one request: dessert and soup were served at the same time during dinner, so I would appreciate it if the soup could be served first. The Onsen was excellent—I went in three times. A typhoon was approaching so unfortunately the weather wasn’t great, but when the rain stopped we took a walk with our dogs and grandchild. The Onsen town at night had a lovely atmosphere and was really nice. All of the staff were friendly and spoke kindly to both our grandchild and our dogs—we truly felt their warmth. It was a very enjoyable Accommodation that left us with lasting memories. P.S.: The Room had everything prepared, including a crate, pet sheets/pads, a lint roller (sticky roller), deodorizer spray, and more.

During the Obon holidays, my daughter and her husband came back home with our grandchild, and we stayed here. It’s a Hotel specialized for children, and our grandchild was absolutely delighted. With the all-inclusive plan, we fully enjoyed both alcoholic and soft drinks. The meals were buffet-style, which made my daughters very happy as well. We also enjoyed the late-night snacks. We stayed in Room “Casual 10,” and since there are only two Rooms on the 8th floor, it was very spacious and cute. Everyone loved it—our grandchild especially—and kept saying how wonderful it was! The baths were also great; we were able to use both a private bath and the large public bath. Everyone was extremely satisfied. Thank you very much.

This Hotel offers far more than a long history—its building, atmosphere, Rooms, dining, Onsen, and service are all maintained to an exceptionally high standard, making it a wonderfully relaxing place to stay. Although it was pouring rain outside and the weather was hot and humid, the indoor climate control—including in the Rooms—was kept at a very comfortable level, so we enjoyed a stress-free stay. Modern luxury Hotels are great too, but this stay helped us rediscover the unique charm of a renowned Ryokan.
