It was a very beautiful place! We stayed in Villa 2, but we couldn’t figure out where it was even with the map… When we went to reception, a very kind woman helped us and showed us the way. We were looking forward to the private Onsen, but we were told that since the villa has its own bath, we couldn’t use the Onsen… We were very disappointed. I’m giving it 4 stars in hopes that they will clearly state that the entrance and parking lot are further inside so anyone can find them easily. The room was of course clean, and we were able to relax and enjoy our time. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance. Next time, I’d love to take a walk down to the sea too!

I stayed here with my daughter while accompanying my grandchild on a soccer trip. The Room was very clean and well maintained, with a natural, cozy feel from the warmth of the wood—really lovely. Breakfast was delicious, and as someone who prefers bread, it was perfect for me. My daughter prefers rice in the morning and said it would have been nice to have that option as well, but she still enjoyed it. I’d love to stay again.

The view of Lake Kasumigaura from the room was amazing—an unbeatable location! You can also take a walk around Lake Kasumigaura just a short stroll away. The sauna was excellent, and the breakfast had a great variety—we were very satisfied! The front desk staff were also wonderful. The only downsides were that the room flashlight was broken, and there was no pen or notepad provided, which felt a bit inconvenient. If you stay in an east-facing room, you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise! This is a Hotel I’d love to return to!

I was looking for an Onsen Accommodation where I could stay with my pet and found a Ryokan with excellent Reviews. It was a wonderful Onsen Ryokan, just as I had hoped. I was amazed by the number of dishes served one after another—and by how delicious they were... Enjoying a sake tasting with the food, then another cup while listening to explanations from the young master, a true sake expert. Breakfast was also delicious. It was an amazing time. (The Onsen was slightly hot—perfect.) Next time, I’d like to stay here with my wife.

They were able to accommodate a late-night stay, which was very helpful. The parking lot was also spacious, with plenty of room. The Room was a large corner Room with ample space. The location was right in front of the station and close to the expressway. I would like to stay here again.

Although it’s called a Hotel, the system felt more like a whole-building vacation rental—for example, you take the key out from a dial lock in front of the Room. [Location] It’s about 15 minutes to the center of Minami, so it’s not bad but not great either. If you walk from the Minami area through the underground mall (Namba Walk), there’s a large supermarket on the way, which makes it easy to pick up late-night snacks or breakfast and head back without much inconvenience. The nearest convenience store (Lawson) is also close. OCAT is nearby as well, which was very convenient for me as an Itami Airport user. [Facilities Overall] We used a family Room. There isn’t a kitchen like many vacation rentals have, but there is a microwave. Even at night, it stays bright outside due to lighting, and since the curtains are not blackout curtains, depending on the person and season it may affect how easily you fall asleep or wake up. An eye mask might be helpful. Amenities are well stocked. We had a Multiple Night Stay; when we hung out the cleaning request sign, they replaced towels and replenished amenities. Trash is basically disposed of in the hallway trash bins. [Beds] A single bed listed on their website wasn’t shown in photos, so I didn’t know where it would be until arrival. There was a dead-end-like space extending along the window from the table by the window, and that’s where it was placed. Since it’s a narrow space enclosed on three sides, some people might actually find it cozy. The mattress firmness is average. There are power outlets near all beds, so charging phones etc. is easy. [Bath/Toilet] They are properly separated into different rooms. The bath area is small but acceptable. The changing area is also separate. I felt there was slight odor coming up from the drain at times, but it wasn’t bothersome. [Service] When I contacted them by email with questions, they responded quickly and politely. However, I didn’t stop by reception on check-in day, so I can’t comment on front desk service in person.

About parking and late check-in I called once before my stay and once on the day of my stay, a total of two times to confirm. Because I would be checking in late, I was told there would be a map in the Hotel Room showing where the second parking lot is, and that I should look at it and move my car. However, there was no map in the Room. Since it was nighttime, I ended up having to call the toll-free number to have a staff member come out. It worked out because I was able to reach someone, but it made me nervous thinking about what would have happened if I couldn’t contact anyone at night. At check-out as well, the check-in counter was locked in the morning, so I had to call the toll-free number again just to return the key. Checking out at 7:30 a.m. seems like a fairly normal time, so if you can’t keep the reception desk open, I think you should provide something like a key drop box. The Room is clean and the Facilities are well equipped, but it’s a shame because service issues detract from an otherwise good stay.

It’s a self check-in system, but the staff kindly guided us through the process, so it was easy to understand. Amenities are available next to the front desk, and you can take only what you need, which is great. There is also a large public bath, and the water temperature was just right, so I could relax and soak comfortably. In the changing Room area, barley tea is provided at night, which was nice. The welcome drink machine is available until 11:00 PM, and you can also take drinks back to your Room to enjoy the next morning, which was excellent. The breakfast buffet has a limited selection overall, but there were many kinds of small breads and they were delicious. It’s far from the station, so it’s inconvenient without a car, but it was a very good Hotel.

It’s a small Accommodation, but the Room had an open-air bath, and the futon was wonderfully fluffy. The food was also very delicious. Our attendant was from Malaysia, and her smile was lovely—she served us wholeheartedly. Thank you very much. What concerned me was that the dishes were served a little slowly; my husband, after having some drinks, fell asleep halfway through. Also, since there are only private baths and the in-room open-air bath (no large public bath), we found ourselves watching the time when going to use the private bath. I deducted points for those reasons, but it was an Accommodation where we could relax at a leisurely pace.

We stayed here on the last day of our trip to Hokkaido! The bath in the Hotel Room was very clean, and we were able to relax comfortably! Melon was included with breakfast, and that alone made us excited! Even after checkout, they kindly stored our luggage, which was a huge help!

Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality. From the warm welcome upon our arrival until we left the Accommodation, our stay exceeded our expectations in every way. The tasteful selection of tea and sweets served on arrival only heightened our anticipation for the meals. Both dinner and breakfast were thoughtfully prepared, with each dish carefully crafted, and my wife and I enjoyed them with genuine admiration. The salt served alongside was perfectly balanced and paired wonderfully with both sashimi and rice. As I had mentioned ingredients I do not care for, you kindly adjusted the menu accordingly, allowing me to enjoy everything deliciously. We are truly grateful to the head chef and the attendant for their considerate care. For bathing, we enjoyed the open-air bath attached to our Room as well as the large public bath and two open-air baths (rotating by time). All were at a comfortable temperature with excellent water quality, and we bathed four times during our stay. For us as a couple who travel to enjoy baths and great food, it was pure bliss. One small regret is that while we loved the Onsen manju in our Room, we only learned afterward that if we had ordered in advance the day before, we could have purchased freshly made ones the next day. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

"Hotel Toranomon Hills" Above all, the location is outstanding. The view from the Room is truly “Toranomon.” Just looking out over the cluster of high-rise buildings somehow lifts your spirits. Another personal favorite was the lounge on the 11th floor. There are light cakes and drinks, it never feels too crowded, and it’s wonderfully quiet. It’s perfect for relaxing at your own pace, or opening up a laptop and getting some work done. Having a calm place like this inside the Hotel is a real treat. Breakfast also offers a wide variety of options, making it easy to enjoy a satisfying start to the day. Most memorable of all was the staff’s hospitality. As this stay was for my birthday, I had made a few requests in advance, and an experienced concierge handled everything with impressive ease. Even without detailed explanations, they understood what I meant and took action accordingly. Luxury Hotels matter for their Facilities and views, of course—but in the end, it really comes down to people. The Room, the view, the lounge, breakfast, and above all the staff. Rather than one standout feature, everything is consistently excellent across the board. A place you can choose with confidence for an important occasion. I’d love to stay again—truly.

About 30 years ago, I visited Kumihama for a day at the beach, and this time I came with my daughter, who is between jobs, after finishing caregiving for my father. The detached villa is about a 3-minute drive from the main building where breakfast and dinner are served, set along Kumihama Bay beyond a wooded path that keeps it completely private from outside view. The beautifully maintained lawn garden was stunning—like a Scandinavian holiday home. Inside, everything was spotless, and there was even a space to lie down and relax while looking out over the bay—an exceptional experience. Meals are served in private rooms in the main building, but they provide Shuttle Service by car, so there’s nothing to worry about. I was captivated by the crystal-clear flavors of the fish dishes—something you simply can’t find in the Tokyo area—and felt as if my whole body had been cleansed. Most guests seemed to be from the Kansai region, and there were no inbound travelers either. This is a truly superb hidden resort—so please don’t tell too many friends!

Stayed for one night; great location, clean Room, very pleasant experience.

We stayed here for a family trip. The Room had a calm, mature atmosphere, and we were able to relax. We could use the Onsen without any time restrictions, and we enjoyed playing games together in the living room—making wonderful memories.

The Room was spacious and spotless, with plenty of beds, and the appliances were all high quality, so we had a very comfortable stay! The tableware was well stocked, and everything was stylish—above all, it has great taste! The meals were also absolutely delicious! The staff were attentive and courteous, which made our stay even more pleasant.

We stayed with our dog and our family of four. We were moved to see wild deer on the way there. For our small dog, the step up to the sofa was a bit concerning. Having to lay out the futons ourselves on the tatami was a little inconvenient. The pillows were too high for us. The terrace was very pleasant, and our dog happily played on the lawn. Next time, we’d like to book a Multiple Night Stay and relax at a slower pace.

Four local friends and I stayed here for a trip, and it was an amazing stay. The Facilities are exceptionally well equipped—there’s a private sauna, a pool, and an evening fire pit—so you can enjoy a truly luxurious time without even leaving the property. I’m actually not usually a sauna person, but this sauna somehow didn’t feel stifling at all and was very comfortable. Because it’s completely private, I could relax and chat freely with my friends, and before I knew it I’d gone back in again and again—it was that cozy. For dinner, we borrowed the BBQ grill and enjoyed cooking together. There are also great spots nearby such as a whisky museum and places where you can try fishing ponds, so we were able to fully enjoy the entire stay including sightseeing. It was a big hit with my friends as well. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

Since there was a group reservation, we were told that breakfast would be served from 7 AM. When we informed them that we needed to leave the Hotel by 7 AM, we were reluctantly given meal tickets for 6 AM, but were warned twice, "There is no guarantee that a seat will be available." There was no information about the Onsen, so when we asked at the front desk, we were given a key and a women's passcode and were told, "Men will be coming in, so please lock the door. Men will be coming in!" I thought they could have chosen their words a bit more carefully in both cases. When I returned the key after leaving the Onsen, I heard loud laughter coming from the back of the front desk. These points concerned me. Breakfast was not as crowded as expected, and we had no issues enjoying it. There was a wide variety and it was delicious.

I often stay at APA Hotel, and this time I visited APA Hotel Nagoya Sakae Higashi! The check-in process was smooth and stress-free. However, it’s very close to APA Hotel Sakae, so I sometimes go to the wrong one. Even though it was my mistake, the front desk staff at Sakae kindly guided me again, and I really appreciate it. I’ll be more careful next time so I don’t mix them up. Thank you as always!
