We stayed with a group of seven: our family of four, my mother, and my younger brother and his wife. Even though it was during Golden Week, we were able to spend a very relaxing time without feeling the crowds of the tourist areas. What we liked It’s an art-themed Hotel, and the kids were thrilled with the NARUTO figures. There was a convenience store and a local supermarket just a short drive away, so shopping for supplies was easy. It was fun that our large group could all stay together in one villa. What could be improved The Japanese-style room felt a bit small, and it was quite difficult to lay out four futons. It was slightly inconvenient that there were no tissues provided in the room. Overall, we were very satisfied—it was such a relaxing stay that it hardly felt like Golden Week. We highly recommend this Accommodation for large group trips.

I stayed here to spend some quiet time alone. I was very satisfied to be able to relax in a nature-rich setting while enjoying the rare scenery unique to a dam lake. It was a wonderful stay where I could feel nature changing its character throughout the day, and with the campfire time included, I was able to step away from everyday noise and reflect on myself. Also, despite the exceptional location, I could really feel the attention to detail in the interior and amenities, and I stayed comfortably. This Accommodation is highly recommended for anyone who loves nature.

We stayed as a family of three. The spaciousness of the facility was more surprising than we imagined. Since we traveled around various places from Wakkanai, the washing machine was a great help. We prepared dinner with ingredients purchased in Kitami. We used the bath and breakfast services at Kitakobushi. It was nice to spend a quiet weekend. The check-in process was a bit troublesome, and we struggled because the entrance wouldn't open even when we needed to use the restroom. It felt easier to check in at Kitakobushi. We've experienced renting an entire building a few times, but Lantern Shiretoko offered a wonderful space. Thank you for the great experience.

It became an unforgettable memory. We were completely satisfied with everything. The place was very clean, and you can really feel how dog-first it is. Both the sofa and the bed are low, which made us feel very safe. We usually bring our own steps, but we didn’t need them here. There were no dangerous spots for our dog, so we could truly relax as well. We were so happy watching our dog run around on the lawn. The amenities were easy to use, and everything was stylish—our excitement level went up (lol). The location is also outstanding. The sunset, sunrise, moon, and stars were all beautiful and incredibly soothing. For dinner, we bought Awaji beef at a nearby supermarket and enjoyed a BBQ. The meat was amazing. The BBQ grill was simple to use and worked great. (When you arrive, they explain how to use the Room and amenities.) There is a fireplace in the Room, and you can also stay warm on the terrace, so it seems like it would be wonderful even in autumn and winter. It truly became a fantastic family trip. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

We stayed this time with three dogs and three adults. The location, Facilities (sauna, pool, garden), and layout were all flawless. We had some concerns about a long stay with three dogs, but we were able to spend an amazing time without any inconvenience. We’re also truly grateful that you welcomed us so kindly, especially since many places do not allow stays with three or more dogs. It’s right near a popular seafood restaurant in Tateyama City, so being able to pick up a numbered ticket first and then wait back at the Accommodation is a big plus. There are nearby spots for surfing, golf, fishing, snorkeling, and swimming in the sea, and there are plenty of places around here for running and walking—these were major deciding factors for us. We would definitely love to return, and above all, it’s highly recommended for anyone who wants to relax while traveling with dogs. (It’s great even if you’re not traveling with dogs.)

During this stay, I also tried the optional “Earth Sauna,” and it exceeded all expectations. The gentle heat felt like being wrapped in soil—soft on the skin, yet warming you thoroughly from the core. It was clearly different from a typical sauna, with a deep warmth that lingered long after. During the outdoor cool-down, I felt at one with the quiet natural air and experienced such complete relaxation that I couldn’t think of anything else. And then there was the tea sauna. With each löyly, the refined aroma of Asamiya tea filled the space, soothing with every breath. The heat was mild, and the balance of fragrance and humidity was perfect—it felt relaxing even to the mind. There is also a Shigaraki ware gallery inside, and being able to purchase pieces is another highlight. It wasn’t just about saunas—it was a stay where you can truly experience Shigaraki culture. Being able to enjoy two completely different sauna experiences within the same Facility is pure luxury. This wasn’t just about sweating—it was an “experience sauna.” I will definitely be back again.

We stayed here to celebrate our dog’s birthday. Our Room was on the 1st floor and built in a semi-basement style, so the greenery felt refreshing and relaxing. However, staying with a dog comes with a lot of luggage, so carrying everything was a bit tough. We also used a stove guard as a substitute to prevent our dog from dashing out. The Room had a simple, natural vibe and was compact yet tastefully designed. The open-air bath had a pleasant sulfur scent, and we were able to soak and relax. It would be helpful to have a rod for lowering the roll curtain—climbing onto the bench to pull it down feels unsafe. At night, insects are attracted by the light, so we turned off the light while bathing; if you’re not comfortable with that, it’s better to use it in the morning or while it’s still bright. Going from the shower booth through the living area to reach the open-air bath felt slightly awkward (lol). Meals were prepared in an easy-to-manage way, and all seasonings were provided, which was convenient. It was our first time trying this kind of stay and we had a great time. Lastly, taking out the trash was a bit difficult. There was quite a lot of trash left in the bathroom bin as well, so we threw it away together; I think it would be good for guests to check carefully since it’s easy to forget. The value for money was great, and having an 11:00 check-out time was nice. There aren’t many Hotels with such a lovely atmosphere where you can stay with your dog, so I really appreciated that the design didn’t feel different from regular Rooms. Thank you very much.

As a regular sauna lover, I stayed here looking forward to the wood-burning sauna, and it exceeded my expectations! Being able to do löyly whenever I wanted in the wood-burning sauna, then stepping outside for that icy “wow” moment—it was incredibly fun! Since it was midwinter in Nasu, I was worried about the cold, but after warming up in the sauna, it wasn’t an issue at all. We cooked using the wood stove, chatted while watching the flames, and whenever we got chilly we either soaked in the Onsen or warmed up a bit in the sauna even with our clothes on. Before we knew it, we had spent most of our time outdoors. Being able to enjoy Nasu’s Onsen was a huge plus! It has some of that camping feel, but with proper indoor toilets and showers—so it felt like living in an outdoor living room. It was a nature experience unlike anything I’ve had before. The Room was spotless, and the building design is beautiful. Falling asleep while looking out at the trees and starry sky through the large windows felt truly special. This time I came with friends and had a great time talking around the campfire, but next time I’d love to bring my kids and enjoy it as a family!

We stayed with our 0-year-old baby. The Facility was very clean and had a special, out-of-the-ordinary feel, so we were able to spend a wonderful time. We also ordered dinner at the Accommodation, which allowed us to relax and take our time. The shabu-shabu was delicious as well. All of the staff were truly kind and welcomed us warmly. It was our baby’s first trip and overnight stay, and it became a very happy memory. Next time we stay, we hope for clear skies so we can see the stars!!

We stayed with a family of five and two dogs. The Accommodation was spotless, filled with the scent of hinoki and other woods, and equipped with the latest appliances and very comfortable bedding—everything was excellent. In the garden, not only our dogs but also the kids enjoyed playing catch; it was clean as well. The nearby river had beautifully clear water, and for the first time in years we spent a long time enjoying it together with our children. Breakfast was carefully prepared and absolutely delicious. We will definitely come again.

I stayed at “Hiire IZU,” which I’d been curious about for a long time. The lava irori hearth at the center of the room was simply outstanding. It’s a gas-fired irori co-developed with a kitchen equipment manufacturer, so you can enjoy not only grilling meat and fish, but also hot pot and even ajillo—truly a special time to savor the experience of gathering around the fire itself. Cooking and enjoying Izu’s bounty over the flame ourselves—such as splendid alfonsino landed at Ito Port, seasonal fish, and Yamakiichi dried fish—was unforgettable. The dishes were elevated even further by beautiful local craftsmanship: tableware by Shichiro Fujii of Azanayama Kiln, Gendo yosegi woodwork, and IZUIRO wooden trays. We also stopped by the nearby general store “Kosanchi,” and were moved throughout our stay by how deeply this Accommodation embodies a spirit of making things with care.

We were able to stay as a family of three in the grass-roof cottage we’d been eyeing on Instagram. At the end of a slope winding through the trees, the cottage came into view, and our child was thrilled. The open-plan living room has large windows with soothing greenery stretching out before you. Our child ran up to the second-floor bedroom, dove onto the comfy bed, and excitedly declared, “I’m sleeping here tonight!” There were three bedrooms, each with two beds. When we went for a walk around the garden, countless flowers were in bloom and it felt like a small village surrounding a pond. There’s a Baby Troll house and a Yoshibo house, and you can even go inside. The stamp rally is fun too—collect all six stamps in the garden while checking the map, reach the goal, and you get a reward! At the back of the garden there’s also a wooden deck where you can relax at your leisure. Enjoy coffee slowly—or like me, unwind with a beer while taking in the view. While we adults took it easy, our child had little adventures around the pond—chasing dragonflies and butterflies, spotting fish in the water, even trying to catch frogs—and looked like they were having an amazing time. In the evening: BBQ! This time we brought our own ingredients and borrowed the BBQ set on the terrace. My wife and child were both delighted. At night, the garden illuminations were beautiful—and there was even a large glowing tree! If it’s this stunning in summer, winter must be even more magical. I can’t help imagining it becoming a romantic spot for couples on winter nights… just my own daydream (laughs). The next morning, we used our stay perk ticket to buy bread at Kanel Bread across from us and enjoyed breakfast on the garden terrace—such an indulgent moment! Inside this Accommodation there’s a kitchen where you can cook. It had that coveted BALMUDA toaster and kettle; plus tableware from Arabia—irresistible for anyone who loves Scandinavian style. Even small touches made us happy: Sekkisei amenities and a ReFa hair dryer—each detail was exciting. When we went to reception for check-out, we couldn’t take our eyes off all of souvenirs—we wanted everything as keepsakes. Our child chose a dwarf piggy bank. Everyone on staff was kind and thoughtful as well; thanks to them we could truly relax and enjoy some luxurious downtime without any worries. We heard that grass roofs change their look with each season: green from spring through summer, brown in autumn, then pure white when snow falls. We’d love to come back again in another season.

I made a Reservation because I wanted to experience life in Kyoto in a traditional machiya townhouse renovated from a 100-year-old historic building. Another deciding factor was the great location—just a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station—making it easy to reach any sightseeing spot. After staying, I found it even more spacious than expected. It’s an Accommodation that preserves the charm of its century-old architecture while offering a functional, comfortable interior, and I was impressed by the balance of history and modern convenience. The access was, of course, very convenient, and the area around the Accommodation felt like a different world from crowded Kyoto—quiet and peaceful—which was an unexpected delight. Finally, the owner welcomed us personally and gave us welcome flowers and a letter; their hospitality made this stay truly memorable. They kindly shared recommendations for dinner and how to spend the evening, and even saw us off at check-out. Thank you for everything—we will definitely visit again.

This Hokkaido trip came together at the last minute, but staying here was absolutely the right choice! The Accommodation is new and very clean, and with a kitchen and washing machine fully equipped, we were able to stay at our own pace as if living there. Above all, the beautiful rural scenery stretching out from the window was stunning, and we could truly relax and unwind, forgetting everyday life. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy Hokkaido’s great nature with a sense of privacy. (I’d love to visit again in winter in a different season.)

I had a very comfortable stay! Both the property and the Room felt clean overall, and it seemed well maintained down to the smallest details. Above all, I really appreciated the sense of privacy that let me relax without worrying about others. This time I stayed in Room C, and with its high ceiling it felt open and more spacious than it actually is. With its calm atmosphere, I think it’s perfect for anyone who wants to take things slow and unwind. The amenities included all the essentials, so there was nothing I found myself missing, and I was able to stay comfortably. Personally, I also liked that there weren’t too many unnecessary items. The location is great as well—you can enjoy exploring Niigata city while still having a quiet place to relax at the Accommodation. Overall, it was a Hotel where I felt truly at ease and would love to stay again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing stay or who values privacy!
