We stayed for three nights as a family of three. Above all, the location—right in front of the ocean—was incredible. The villa sits along the coastline that continues from Toguchi Beach, and it’s about a 5-minute walk to Toguchi Beach. It’s also less than a 10-minute drive from Irabu Ohashi Bridge, making it a convenient base for sightseeing. The daytime sea was beautiful, and the starry sky at night was amazing too. On a morning after rain, we even saw a huge rainbow over the ocean—an unforgettable view. The time we spent looking out at the sea and rainbow beyond the pool was especially memorable. There’s also a spot in front of the villa that feels like a small private beach. This time we decided not to swim due to an approaching tropical depression, but you can borrow pool items, sand-play toys, and life jackets. We were told that around typhoons, waves can wash away some of the sand and reduce the beach area. The pool is just the right size for families to enjoy together. And what we loved most was the BBQ. We bought our own ingredients and enjoyed lighting charcoal for the first time in ages. Having drinks while BBQing with the ocean right in front of us was unbeatable. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils and basic seasonings, so self-catering is easy. There’s also a water dispenser, complimentary drinks in the fridge, and a washer-dryer with detergent—very convenient for longer stays. Trash can be sorted and left by the entrance in the morning for collection. We also appreciated being able to sleep comfortably on regular beds rather than an extra bed even with three people. There are four beds in total, so we were able to rest well and recover from travel fatigue. The staff were very kind as well. It’s not full-service like a luxury hotel with 24-hour staffing, but during staffed hours they responded quickly whenever we needed something. On our last day they even came outside to see us off despite strong winds and heavy rain—we’re truly grateful. Since it’s summer there are some insects as expected, but insect spray and repellents are provided; we recommend setting them up soon after arrival. Geckos are part of island life too (in a good way). Because priority seems to be given to views, there isn’t much eave overhang; during heavy rain we noticed some raindrop noise against windows at times—but in return, the view from inside is absolutely stunning. The windows have good sound insulation overall; normally you can barely hear waves indoors at all. If anything could be improved, having mats at the entrance or terrace door to brush off sand would be even more convenient. This is a villa where you can stay “as if living,” at your own pace. Our whole family was completely satisfied—it was an amazing 3-night stay!

There is no large public bath, but every Room has its own Onsen, and it was easy to adjust the temperature. I was able to relax and enjoy the Onsen at my leisure in the open-air bath. Overall, it was a stay that made me want to visit again. For dinner, we ordered sukiyaki. The beef was very well-marbled yet extremely easy to eat—light and melt-in-your-mouth—and the portion size was just right to finish comfortably. Breakfast was a bit light and on the smaller side, but since dinner is meat-focused, I felt it was well balanced. The only disappointing point was that perhaps because it is for men only, there were no skincare items like toner or lotion in the Room. When traveling, it’s inconvenient to carry these so I usually don’t bring them; at high-end Ryokan these days they are typically provided everywhere, so I was surprised they weren’t available. Even women’s versions would be fine—I think you should provide them. Those who don’t need them simply won’t use them. Other amenities such as heated eye masks and facial packs were very well stocked.

I stayed at Route Inn for the first time. Even though it was a bit late at night, the staff provided pleasant service. The Room and service were excellent! It's not as far from the station as expected, so it's also recommended for those not using a car.

The bath and in-room dining were both excellent. This is an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again.

I was impressed by the staff’s drive to improve. I was especially amazed by the chef’s thorough attention to detail—even down to the choice of serving dishes. I was also struck by the president’s wonderful spirit when I previously stayed at Takinami, and it’s simply incredible that an even more upgraded Accommodation has been created. I would love to visit again and enjoy your outstanding, carefully crafted cuisine. Thank you very much.

We stayed here as a family of four—my husband, my mother, my son, and me. There is a supermarket called Himawari Market nearby, as well as a bakery called TRIFFLE, so we had no trouble at all even without meals included at the Accommodation. The bed sheets were soft and comfortable, and we really enjoyed staying in this log cabin with its clean wooden scent! Thank you very much. We would love to stay again!

There was none of the odor that’s common at pet-friendly accommodations, and the entire place felt clean and comfortable—we had a wonderful stay! Since we stayed in September, we enjoyed a BBQ outside. They also provided insect repellent and mosquito coils, which was extremely helpful! It really felt like it’s run by a lovely parent-and-child team. We’d definitely love to stay here again! This is by far the best pet-friendly place we’ve ever stayed at!! Thank you again!

We stayed in a top-floor room. This hotel truly takes care of everything. Even though it was raining, we enjoyed the open-air bath with a sky-high view, the large public bath, and the in-room hot spring. The variety at the dinner buffet was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The made-to-order Mont Blanc prepared in the morning was delicious too. The staff were very courteous. The amenities were also exceptionally well stocked, and I debated buying the hot-spring-made cosmetics at the gift shop but decided against it—however, they were so good that I ended up ordering them online. It’s a hotel where one night just isn’t enough. I’d love to book again for my birthday next year! We’ll be back.

This Hotel is just as wonderful as the Reviews say!! There was a great variety of complimentary drinks, including some unique options like matcha latte and roasted green tea latte, and I was very satisfied. The Room was clean and comfortable to stay in. Above all, what impressed me most was how kind all the staff were!! On the day I stayed, Nagoya had torrential rain with weather warnings issued, and public transportation such as trains had stopped. The concert I had planned to attend was also canceled, which was very disappointing, but I was able to relax in this lovely Room, and it became a good memory in its own way!! I would definitely like to stay here again!

I stayed here with my elderly mother. We used a universal Room, and it was very easy for her to use, so she seemed to enjoy staying overnight for the first time in a while. It was our first time using a universal Room, but we would be happy to stay again if we can book this Room. Thank you very much for your thoughtful support.

The beach was right in front of us, and from the rooftop Onsen pool we had a panoramic view over Karatsu city. We were welcomed with a cake, and there were also sweets in our Room, plus a whole lineup of ice cream before the bath. The breakfast buffet was so plentiful we couldn’t finish it, with an excellent selection of desserts as well. As expected from Chateraise—I wished we could have stayed one more night.

This was my first stay. When we needed to change our dates due to a typhoon hitting directly, you handled it very courteously. The Room, the large public bath, and the breakfast were all excellent—I was completely satisfied. I would like to stay again next time. Thank you very much for everything.

We stayed for one night during the Obon holiday period. The front desk staff warmly welcomed us. The Room felt very new and was impeccably clean, so we had a very comfortable stay. It was great to have both yukata and pajamas available. They also quickly exchanged the yukata size for us, which was very helpful. We headed to the bath right away. The large public bath was very clean, and we loved that the shower kept running without having to press the button repeatedly! Bathing while looking at the castle was wonderful. The hair dryers in the changing area were ReFa. The muscat vinegar drink in the post-bath lounge was so delicious that even our children—who usually find fruit vinegar drinks too sour—went back for seconds. Since our Room included lounge access, we used the massage chair there, enjoyed some drinks, and felt refreshed. Also, the bed in our Room was incredibly comfortable—I may have slept better than I ever have while traveling. I think it’s a great fit for those who like pillows that are fluffy, soft, and low-profile. The next morning we had breakfast at Mimasaka Kitchen. We already knew it had a good reputation, but it exceeded our expectations—the lightly seasoned side dishes and wide variety of desserts that weren’t overly sweet were more than satisfying. Even better were the onigiri made by one of the staff members—perfectly light and fluffy—and our whole family couldn’t stop praising them. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with this Accommodation. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us during our stay.

We stayed in a special Room as three generations during the Obon holidays this year. First of all, we were amazed at how spacious the Room was! The bath was also large, and our 3-year-old daughter was thrilled. Both the sushi kaiseki dinner we had been looking forward to most and the breakfast were truly delicious. We could enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace in a private dining room, and the fountain show was beautiful. The service was excellent as well. There isn’t a playroom for children, but our daughter seemed to have lots of fun feeding the koi in the garden, reading picture books in the library, and doing the stamp rally. The adults were also able to enjoy some relaxing time for the first time in a while. We’re already talking about how next time Italian would be nice, teppanyaki would be great too, and kaiseki was wonderful as well. We’d love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Our First Visit to Ubud no Mori All of the staff were incredibly kind and spoke to our dog so warmly. Thanks to them, we felt welcomed and comfortable from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious—we were more than satisfied!! We even got to enjoy the late-night soba, which made the evening even happier. Being able to relax and have such a wonderful time with our dog became a truly special memory for us. We would love to visit again! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

This was my long-awaited trip to Huis Ten Bosch. I considered staying at one of the official Hotels inside the park, but chose this Hotel for its extensive Facilities, the large number of positive Reviews, and the reassurance of the Okura brand. Even before arriving at the main entrance by car, I was overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the building’s exterior. The stunning stepped atrium from the 1st to 3rd floors also set an exciting tone for a truly luxurious stay. The female bell staff member was exceptionally polite and kind, saying, “We’ll take your luggage up via a separate elevator, so please go ahead to your Room.” When I entered, there was an adorable teddy bear on the table by the window. The message card read, “Happy Birthday,” and since it was my birthday month, it was such a delightful surprise! She also wished me a happy birthday in person, which really moved me. From my Room we could see not only Huis Ten Bosch but also views out to open water—an amazing panorama. It was during the Obon holiday period so there must have been many guests staying, yet thanks to how spacious the Hotel is overall, it never felt crowded. Above all else, every staff member’s attentive service stood out. I’ve stayed at many Hotels and usually find something to complain about somewhere—but this time there wasn’t a single issue, and I enjoyed every moment in complete comfort. While this is clearly a Hotel designed with visits to Huis Ten Bosch in mind, once you cross the bridge there’s also a JR station (remarkably close to the waterfront), so on day two we took the train and went as far as Sasebo. It’s also very useful as a base for sightseeing in Nagasaki City or Sasebo. The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety with plenty of both Japanese and Western options—I ended up eating far too much. This was my first time visiting Nagasaki and Huis Ten Bosch, and it became an unforgettable trip full of wonderful memories. Next time I’d love to stay longer—this truly is an outstanding Hotel. The Room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, making our stay very comfortable. The location was convenient, and there were many dining options nearby, so we were very satisfied. By the way, Ichimonji Hakodate Ramen was delicious.

We were able to stay at Kashiwaya again this year as a family, and we had a truly wonderful time. With only a few Rooms, we hardly ran into other guests even in the baths, so we could quietly enjoy the excellent waters of Bessho Onsen. The meals are gently seasoned and make the most of local ingredients, and no matter when we visit, it’s a mysterious Accommodation where we always sleep soundly at night. We look forward to visiting again.

I couldn’t forget the hot spring that moved me last year, so I stayed again to fully enjoy the wonderful waters. The quality was just as before, and the silky feel on my skin was exceptional. The open-air bath in Room 88 was also incredibly comfortable, and the meals had been upgraded—I was completely satisfied. I once again enjoyed the chef’s creative cuisine, crafted with a literary sensibility. It’s a bit far from Tokyo, but I’d love to stay again to be soothed by these superb hot springs.

We stayed here to celebrate my father’s 90th birthday. Unfortunately, it rained so we couldn’t enjoy a terrace barbecue or stargazing, but the staff’s thoughtful hospitality, the impeccably clean room, and the delicious, beautifully presented, generous meals made our stay wonderful—my 83-year-old mother was especially pleased. The sauna floor didn’t warm up very well, which was a bit disappointing, but everything else was excellent. If we have the chance, we would love to stay again. Thank you very much.
