Thank you for the other day. We stayed with two young children, and since the bed was placed against the wall, we were able to rest comfortably and safely. The service was courteous, making our stay pleasant. We would like to use this accommodation again when we have business nearby. Thank you very much.

I was looking for an Accommodation for a touring trip during the summer holidays, but there were hardly any vacancies. By chance, I found Pension Risu no Koya and stayed for three nights. It had a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere, and above all, the meals were outstanding. They were served like a course meal, and every dish was delicious. Most of all, the owners are wonderful people. There are a few minor inconveniences with amenities and such, but their attentive hospitality is truly relaxing. If I go to Hakuba again, I will definitely stay here again. Overall, it is a reasonably priced Accommodation. I hope many more people get to know about it.

I have stayed here several times. When checking in at the Hotel, I was assisted by a male and a female staff member. Both were very kind and made me feel at ease. When we arrived at our Room, we couldn’t remove the key, so we thought it might be broken and contacted the front desk. The male staff member came very quickly to help us. It turned out to be our mistake, but he kindly and politely showed us how to use the key properly. It was a great help. The female staff member also kindly explained where the parking lot was. When we left, she even came outside to see us off. We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely like to stay again.

There is an accommodation located just up the hill of Shiroyama at the eastern edge of the grid-like town. The narrow and steep approach road is one-way, so there’s no need to worry about oncoming traffic. Even large buses were able to make their way up. Although the entrance area of the accommodation is narrow, once you unload your luggage, valet service will take care of parking your car. Walking downhill from the accommodation leads to a main tourist spot, and it’s also conveniently close to the station, making it a great base for exploring. The interior is spacious with intricate design details. The staff are kind and attentive in their interactions. The room faces west with no tall trees obstructing the view, offering a wide panorama of the entire town that can be enjoyed both from inside and from the terrace with an open-air bath. (The view may vary depending on room orientation.) The private open-air bath in each room maintains an ideal temperature all day and night; it’s made of stone and spacious enough for a family to enjoy together. A shower room is conveniently adjacent. On our stay date, fireworks lit up Takayama city, which we watched for about an hour while leaning against the terrace railing. Meals are served in semi-private booth-style seating with sunken kotatsu tables. A quiet group of Western guests dined together in a large hall nearby.

Because we’d mostly visited southern Onsen towns such as Zao, Akayu, and Kaminoyama, this year we decided to head north and went to Hijiori, Semi, and Ginzan. Hijiori had come up as an option before, but I had somehow assumed it was a remote, quiet, minor Onsen area. I was surprised to find it’s a rare Onsen town these days that still has real energy. While Zao and Akayu have largely turned into shuttered streets and feel like each place is operating separately for its own target guests, Hijiori Onsen has a welcoming style where the whole town hosts visitors together. The shops were lively too—I was truly moved to see that the best of the Showa-era Onsen town atmosphere still remains. I believe Yushin no Yado is family-run with additional staff; everyone was kind and warm in their service, so we felt at ease throughout our stay. And we were amazed by both the quantity and quality of the meals! It was so lavish I thought my stomach might burst—packed with mountain delicacies. I wished I had a bigger appetite. I felt bad leaving anything uneaten, and when I saw someone at a nearby table being served an enormous watermelon, I nearly despaired. However, they were clearly paying attention to how quickly we were eating; since I eat slowly, they switched mine to a smaller portion for me, which impressed me. As a couple who don’t drink alcohol much at all, strongly seasoned dishes meant to pair with drinks are delicious but make us need lots of water; if possible, it would be helpful to receive a pitcher of cold water once it’s clear we won’t be ordering beverages. The saltiness makes us thirsty—we end up drinking a lot of water and getting full before finishing the wonderful food. The private reserved Onsen in the annex offered as a guest perk had different water quality from the main bath area (which made it fun). It seems this Accommodation borrows the bathhouse of an older Ryokan that is no longer operating; because it didn’t lock properly from inside (no key), it made us nervous. Still, enjoying another type of spring water was great.

It was a wonderful space. I’ve also uploaded photos, so I hope you’ll take a look. I was amazed at how beautifully this place has been designed—what could otherwise feel a bit small is made to feel so special. My wife, our 3-year-old child, and I stayed here and were very satisfied! The room was very clean, and our child was thrilled, saying, “The top bunk is my spot!” The sink area and bath were comfortable with everything we needed, and the TENTIAL sandals were also very comfortable to wear. I think this place will change people’s image of a “garage house hotel.” One thing I hope will improve going forward is the food. Dinner looked great—the plating and tableware were beautiful and enjoyable visually. On the other hand, the overall flavor felt like it could use one more step up. In particular, while the venison main dish was prepared in a very approachable way, those who love game meat might find it a little lacking. I was also personally disappointed that there wasn’t a glass red wine option to pair with the venison main. That said, since it was such an easy-to-eat dish, perhaps the by-the-glass selection was chosen intentionally to match that style. And breakfast— this is something I really hope you improve. The rice had dried out and become hard, which honestly made me sad. Personally, I feel breakfast can greatly change the overall impression of a Hotel stay. Because this Facility is so wonderful otherwise, I strongly felt you should put more effort into breakfast. Also, while the female staff member in charge of dinner came across as highly professional, at breakfast it felt like operations still weren’t running smoothly. In the end, after-meal drinks took quite a while to arrive and we had to wait. The families on both sides of us seemed to be in the same situation as well, so I hope this will be improved going forward. I’ve written various things about the meals but—above all—this place itself is truly lovely. I think it’s definitely worth staying at this Hotel. There was also a small issue during our stay this time; however, your response was very smooth and pleasant. Including how you handled an irregular situation like that, my personal evaluation is very high. As an aside: when my child and I woke up early for a walk in the morning—we actually found a stag beetle! My child was overjoyed as well; including that experience too, it became a wonderful memory.

Surprisingly spacious and beautifully designed! The 2nd-floor terrace offers a sea view, and the kitchen is fully equipped—I wish I could have stayed for three nights to relax! The toilet and bathroom are clean! I completely forgot there were no amenities, so I went to a nearby supermarket to buy some. But honestly, it didn’t matter because everything else was so perfect that it made up for it. Since the area is residential, you can’t really be loud outside at night. Once inside the Room, though, it feels like another world—no problem at all. There are no curtains on the large windows, so the morning sunlight can be bright; having a partition would make it even better. The 2nd floor was spacious; while the 1st floor was simple and cute, we didn’t use it much. There’s also some equipment for light workouts—it’s fun! One night just isn’t enough! Check-in happens at a different location where staff explain everything—the design there is also great. The people are kind, and there’s a lovely wooden scent in the air. From start to finish, this was an absolutely amazing Room for me!

I had some trouble checking in. When I called right in front of the Accommodation, I was told that it had been reserved by someone else, which made me panic, but in the end my Reservation was confirmed and I was able to stay! The Room was very clean! The air conditioning was adjustable and comfortable. The refrigerator had two shelves and also included a freezer. Two complimentary bottles of water were provided. It was a bit disappointing that towels were only provided for one night even though we stayed two nights. The seat on the bath chair was worn down and painful to sit on, so I think it should be replaced with a new one. It’s an Accommodation in a very convenient location close to the station!!

Even though dogs are allowed, the place was very clean and spacious, and we were very satisfied! It was disappointing that there were no amenities such as toothbrushes. The refrigerator was large, and we were given a Room with an oven, so we could cook what we wanted, which was great! There is no elevator, so carrying luggage up to the 3rd floor and getting our dog upstairs was tough. There was a dog run, but since there was no explanation, we didn’t know where it was; we only noticed it before leaving and couldn’t use it, which was disappointing. Since our Room had only a shower, we couldn’t go out leaving our dog behind, so we couldn’t go to the Onsen—having a bathtub would have been nice. We were bothered by the sound of laundry on the same floor late at night, but overall it was good and we’d like to stay again!

This is a property located within a golf course. The room is simple and minimal. It features a quality bed, a large sofa, amenities as described, and a refrigerator typical of a business hotel. The shower booth has an overhead shower. The lighting is dim, creating a relaxing space. There is no side table or TV in the room. After actually staying, I felt there are things that people considering staying should be aware of and understand in advance. That is, this property is located in a golf course, not a hotel. The people working here are not hotel staff. They are individuals working in their respective positions at the golf course. There is no bathtub in the room. It is available in the clubhouse, but cannot be used at night. It needs to be used by the evening. Being a golf course, it is full of nature. There are insects, spider webs outside, and dust is naturally present. Located in the mountains, there are no shops or convenience stores nearby, and it gets completely dark after sunset. The staff all leave after business hours, so there are no people other than guests at night. (There seems to be a contact for emergencies) Due to the limited information and reviews available, it is easy to misunderstand, and those unfamiliar with golf courses may perceive the differences from a hotel as "dissatisfaction" due to preconceived notions. However, Since it is not a hotel with many rooms, you can spend a very quiet, extraordinary, and leisurely time. Surrounded by nature and greenery, you can only hear the birds, the sunset is very beautiful, and if the weather is favorable, a starry sky spreads out at night, and in the early morning, you can see a family of deer walking slowly on the course with no one around, and enjoy a beautiful sunrise. Moreover, you can fully enjoy special practice unique to a golf course, which cannot be done at a driving range in the city. (Of course, within the bounds of manners and morals) The reception was courteous, and they pleasantly accommodated my sudden requests, leaving a good impression. If I may say one thing, it would be nice if "one round per guest is OK." Although I originally went for the purpose of staying, seeing the course in front of me made me want to play a round. The few days I stayed this time were very good, and I felt like I found a "special good place!" and was very satisfied.

The yakiniku dinner was especially delicious. I would definitely like to stay again. The Hotel’s bicycle service was also a nice touch. I had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

When I checked in during the evening, the female staff at the reception was clear, polite, and greeted me with a smile, which made me feel at ease. Additionally, upon entering the room, I found a handwritten thank-you letter on the desk addressed to guests and thoughtful touches like a duck in the bathroom that added charm and showed genuine care. It made me very happy.

I stayed in a twin Room, and I wish it had been a bit more spacious. Other than that, I was able to spend my time comfortably, so it was good.

It's appreciated that breakfast is included at this price. I was concerned that the Room's bath had a slight sewage smell.

Thank you for hosting us for one night. We had dinner at Shikitei, the soba izakaya on the first floor, and every dish was delicious. We were able to relax in the spacious tatami seating area. The Hotel is connected to the restaurant, so we could take it easy after our meal without going outside. Breakfast was generous as well, and we appreciated being able to choose from milk, fruit juice, or vegetable juice. We would love to stay again.

We used a Room with a medium-sized dog and a maisonette. It was stylish and fun, like a hideout. The kitchen Facility was well-equipped, clean, and easy to use. The staff was kind, and the location was convenient for sightseeing. Traveling with a dog is fun but can be troublesome, yet it was easy to walk the dog, and the dog was able to relax. I would like to use it again when I go to Sakaiminato.
