The location was right in the heart of the Kawaramachi downtown area. It was close to the station, with many restaurants nearby, which was great. The Room and bathroom were very clean, so I felt comfortable staying there. The wall-mounted TV felt a bit small. It’s a Hotel with great value for money, and I recommend it.

The building feels old, and some areas are dimly lit, which can feel a bit unsettling. The front desk staff are easy to talk to and very pleasant. Parking in front of the Hotel is limited, but there is a second parking lot right across the street, so it’s not an issue. It’s nice that there are no foreign guests staying here. There are two massage chairs, but one was broken and couldn’t be used. (Since it’s free, no complaints.) It’s also good that you can pick up only the amenities you need at the front desk. They also offer free coffee and tea, which is a nice touch.

Aside from the slightly spongy floor in the washroom, this Accommodation was very clean, meticulously maintained throughout, and truly comfortable. We were able to relax as if we were back at our parents’ home. The baths were also wonderful, and we enjoyed both the large public bath and all three private baths. The former air-raid shelter passage leading to the Goemon bath was a little scary, but it also felt like a valuable geo-heritage site. Breakfast is mainly Western-style, and the variety, quality, and portion size all felt just right. (Couple in our 50s) Perhaps because it is Western-style, we would be happy if tea were available after the meal. The staff’s attentiveness and sense of distance were just right, making this an Accommodation we definitely want to return to. We would also recommend it to family and friends.

This was our first stay with our family of four and our Toy Poodle. Some Reviews mentioned that the property is old or has an odor, but once we arrived, we found the staff’s service, the meals, and the Facility to be more than satisfactory. We would like to stay again. Thank you very much for everything.

It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but I missed my train and ended up checking in later than planned; it was very helpful to know that check-in was available until midnight. There are large and medium public baths for both men and women, which helped me relax after the trip. The Room also had bright lighting that I like, making it very comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, and I enjoyed plenty of my favorite mentaiko (spicy cod roe).

I stayed here the night before attending a wedding. It’s a compact Hotel, but it’s close to the station and, above all, very affordable—so I was extremely satisfied. The building felt a bit dated, but I felt that was more than made up for by the excellent service from the Hotel staff. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

I found this Hotel while looking for a place to stay in Shinjuku. At first, I was considering the Nishi-Shinjuku area, but this Hotel had great access, was clean, and offered good value. I booked two Rooms for my mother and aunt’s sightseeing trip in Tokyo, and they were happy because it was convenient to get anywhere and very clean.

We stayed this time as a family of four. We first discovered this Accommodation when we stayed here on a tour more than 10 years ago. Since then, we have returned many times for motorcycle touring and family trips. It is also in a great location for visiting the nearby Ainu Kotan and local handicraft shops. The delicious meals—and above all, the Onsen—everything deserves top marks. We will definitely be back again.

We stayed here while sightseeing at Oirase Gorge and Lake Towada. We spent a relaxing time in the spacious garden in front of Lake Towada. Although the building has a sense of history, the Room was clean and well maintained, and we were satisfied with everything—the bath and the meals. It was a wonderful Hotel.

Although the building feels a bit old, we had a very comfortable stay. We made a Reservation with No Meals Included, but decided to have the breakfast buffet at short notice. Both the Japanese and Western breakfast staples were delicious, and the French toast was cooked to order, so we enjoyed it fresh. They also provided takeout cups for coffee, so I enjoyed a cup in my Room. I would like to stay here again when I visit Niigata. Thank you very much.

I booked with some worries because the negative Review stuck with me. In conclusion, if you don’t expect too much, you can be satisfied. The sukiyaki catering was generous and very satisfying. Breakfast was served individually rather than buffet-style, so we could eat at a relaxed pace. Drinks, rice, and pork miso soup were self-serve with free refills. Since it was a cool day—almost chilly—our dog stayed in a crate in the car. Honestly, it was a hassle that check-in/out and breakfast were at a Hotel about 5 minutes away by car. You’re given a map for the cottage, but it’s extremely hard to understand. I’d like them to place arrows or signs at key turning points on site to make it clearer. The roads are narrow, and at night you’ll definitely get lost. The short set of steps from where you park to the cottage is tough. With lots of luggage for both people and our dog, you can’t use a cart either. It probably depends on the Room, but there was a full set of kitchen items, which was very convenient. No seasonings are provided. The large refrigerator and having plastic wrap available were small but helpful touches. The tap water is drinkable as-is, but if that bothers you, it’s better to bring your own drinks. The refrigerator is empty. It was inconvenient that there was only one bath towel and one smaller towel (the size you take into an Onsen bath area) per person. I’d be happy if there were two of each. Also, please provide newer towels—the ones for dogs were fluffier, and I honestly couldn’t tell which were meant for people. I was very concerned about dampness in the closet where the bedding is stored and in the connected wardrobe area. It would be better managed with a dehumidifier. The insects I worried about were within an acceptable range; given the surrounding environment it can’t really be helped, so if you can’t handle bugs you should look for another Accommodation. The building itself is honestly old, but the Facility has been updated and everything was kept clean. Because it’s a detached building unit-by-unit style accommodation , it was very quiet and we could relax slowly. There are no loungewear sets and amenities are minimal so it’s different from staying at a Hotel , but checkout is also at 11:00 so we could take our time; we were very satisfied being able to spend time at our family’s pace . It might also be good to choose no meals , shop at supermarkets like Tsuruya or roadside stations , then prepare everything yourself . That way , you can stay with your dog all day too .

This property seems best suited for guests who like sulfur Onsen. As other Reviews mention, it is not a Manza-class sulfur Onsen. It feels like the sulfur Onsen has been diluted with water. There are designated hours for using the Onsen. Normally, it is available from 1:00 PM, but on Tuesdays and Wednesdays it is available from 3:00 PM. Since check-in is at 3:00 PM, only guests on a Multiple Night Stay can use it from 1:00 PM. Swimwear is required in the mixed-gender open-air bath. (This time, we bought it at the shop inside the Facility.) If you don’t have swimwear, you can rent it by paying a rental fee (500 yen). As for meals, we did not purchase meals at the Facility and instead ate at a convenience store 6 km away. From a cost-performance perspective, I recommend it.

This was our second stay here, and this time we stayed as a couple. It’s conveniently close to Hirome Market and the Obiyamachi shopping arcade, and since our first trip to Kochi was truly wonderful, we chose to stay here again. The Facility is a bit old, but it has the essentials, and the front desk staff are friendly. We’re happy to be able to stay at a reasonable price for sightseeing and exploring the city. We would love to stay again.

This was our second stay here, but it was our first time trying the free curry. It was perfectly delicious—neither too home-style nor too much like a restaurant. My husband kept saying, “So good!” and had three bowls (lol). The location is excellent and the price is reasonable, so we’d love to stay again when traveling to Miyagi Prefecture. I stayed here again after a long time. As always, the courteous service made me feel at ease. The Room has been renovated, and the unit bath was very clean. It was very comfortable. The amenities are well stocked. In addition to green tea, there is also coffee and black tea. I had breakfast, and there was a good variety of dishes and everything was delicious. I would definitely like to stay here again in the future.

I first stayed here in January 2026, and this was my second visit. This time I returned in the season of fresh greenery, and along the several dozen meters from the accommodation building to the separate Onsen building, white citrus blossoms were in full bloom. I was able to enjoy their sweet fragrance while soaking in the Onsen. It’s wonderful that each season brings new discoveries. The meals were consistently high quality, and I was satisfied with both the taste and portion size.

It was very comfortable, and the bath left my skin feeling smooth—I was very satisfied. I’d love to come again!

We stayed for two nights. The French cuisine and wood-fired dishes, made with plenty of fresh vegetables grown on the property’s own farm, were absolutely delicious. The owner, chef, and staff were all kind and welcoming, and we were happy to spend such an enjoyable time here.
