I always stay here on my first night in Miyakojima since I just need a place to sleep. It seems like it was originally designed as a studio apartment or weekly rental, and the kitchen comes with a stove, refrigerator, and washing machine. The bathroom also has a separate washing area. The closet is spacious, and this time I was upgraded to a corner Room, which made me happy. Since it’s in the city center, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, so I recommend it.

After many years, I stayed at a pension again. Compared to a Hotel, it may be less convenient as there is no toilet or bath in the Room, but the facilities were clean and I had a very comfortable stay. The close interaction with the owner is something unique to pensions. The balance of being close yet not overly intrusive was also very pleasant. Small conversations with the owner became wonderful memories as well. The natural beauty of Urabandai remains unchanged and is truly amazing. I appreciated that it hasn’t been overly commercialized as a tourist spot. I would love to visit again!

The accommodation has been renovated and is very beautiful. The dining area is also very clean and atmospheric, and the food was absolutely delicious, making it a highly satisfying experience. It was the hot season, so we stayed here on our first trip to Kita-Karuizawa. Since it was raining, we quickly visited Shiraito Falls and checked in after 3:00 pm. They said they installed air conditioning for the first time last year, but the window screens and fan were enough for us. There are two baths, and families can reserve them for private use; I enjoyed soaking twice by myself. The water felt soft and very pleasant. The Room also had POLA amenities, which was a nice touch. The refrigerator is shared, so you write your name on your items. Dinner uses local and homegrown vegetables and fruit, and everything was delicious. For the main dish there is beef or pork; the barley-fed pork roast was outstanding. The sauce was great, but it was delicious even with just salt and pepper. The salad dressing at dinner was also excellent. There are about 50 kinds of wine, and both extra coffee and alcoholic drinks are very reasonably priced. The breakfast bread was placed in a bag with warmed stones (?) inside, so it stayed warm and crispy—really tasty. The owner’s wife shared lots of information about nearby farm stands and the area around here, so on our way back—once the weather cleared—we stopped again at Kubo Farm, Tsuruya Karuizawa store, and the outlet mall before heading home. Vegetables and fruit are inexpensive there, making shopping really fun. I’ve come to love Kita-Karuizawa, and I think we’ll be staying here again next year as well. Thank you very much.

Having grown up in the mountains of Nagano Prefecture, I love dishes made with wild mountain vegetables and river fish. The meal we were served here was far more delicious than I ever imagined. I enjoyed each dish with wide-eyed delight. Thanks to the Ryokan owner’s thoughtful consideration, we were able to reserve a private bath time, and my spouse and I could relax together in the Onsen. We plan to visit again in autumn.

My long-held wish to visit Mount Koya finally came true for the first time, and thanks to being able to stay at Ekoin, it became an even more memorable experience. Starting with Ajikan meditation, I was able to do everything I had hoped for—sutra copying, morning prayers, the Goma fire ritual, and shojin ryori—making these two days truly precious. Thank you very much.

We stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room. The toilet and bath were separate, there was a steak restaurant next door, and a convenience store across the street. Behind the Accommodation, there was a fishing port and a small park, and we were pleasantly surprised to find earplugs among the amenities. The elevator “Open” button didn’t work well, so we had to stop it with our foot. There was a step between the Room and the (spacious) bath area, but they kindly stacked mats as a temporary fix, which really helped. The faucet at the sink in the bath area was stiff. There was no washing machine. There were some drawbacks, but everyone was very kind to us.

This was my fourth stay, and I stayed in the East Wing again this time.\nNot only the Facility, but also the temple was beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean, making my stay very comfortable.\nI will visit again, and I look forward to seeing you.

We visited recently as a family. The Facility was well maintained and very clean, and the Room was also spotless and well cleaned. The futon was high quality, and we were very satisfied. Dinner was generous in portion size; we grilled and ate Bungo beef and Toyo Shamo chicken, both wonderfully firm in texture and truly delicious. The staff were excellent as well—we will definitely be back. We look forward to staying again next time.

From the moment we walked through the gate, the place was filled with cat-themed goods, with lots of adorable items everywhere. The tableware and glasses were lovely, and even breakfast was cute—and delicious. We enjoyed it fully from arrival until bedtime, and again in the morning. The bath was private and very spacious, so we could relax comfortably and recover from our travel fatigue. It was also perfect timing—we were happy to see so many fireflies. Everyone was kind, and we were able to unwind at a very relaxed pace.

I don't smoke, but I booked a room since there was no non-smoking room option. I'm not particularly sensitive to the smell of smoke and thought it would be fine as long as I could open the window. However, the window lock seemed to be broken and couldn't be opened, so I requested a room change, which they kindly accommodated. This was my second stay; during my previous summer visit, the screen door was slightly torn, which was disappointing. While the affordability is appreciated, it would be great if basic facilities were properly maintained.

The Onsen water quality was excellent. From arrival until departure the next morning, we could use the large public bath at any time, and we enjoyed soaking in it many times. The building was kept very clean, and the staff at the Accommodation were wonderful. Although it is located in the central area of Shiga Kogen, it is a quiet environment. The air felt completely different from the heat down below. I think it is also a great base for trekking to places like Takamagahara and Higashidateyama. The only disappointment was that the weather was bad, so we couldn’t see the spectacular Northern Alps view that should have been visible from the window. Next time, I’d like to come back for a retry—possibly during ski season as well.

They serve truly serious cuisine! You can feel the chef’s dedication, and it’s genuinely delicious! Even the standard course included this much!

I stayed from New Year's Eve to New Year's Day to see the first sunrise of the year. The location was excellent, with a stunning ocean view right in front. While some of the facilities showed signs of age, the accommodation overall was clean and well-maintained. As for meals, they were hearty and absolutely delicious, living up to the reputation of this accommodation. The food was so good that it made me want more rice! However, I recommend avoiding snacks before meals as you might not be able to fully enjoy such a wonderful feast if you're too full. I would love to stay here again not only during New Year but also in summer!

We had a wonderful auberge experience exactly as we’d imagined, and we were very satisfied. Thoughts on the triple Room (not mentioned in other Review): - The tabletop mirror prepared on the desk—also useful as an accessory tray—was extremely convenient for the three of us traveling together to get ready. - The toilet floor was tiled with a drain, and it felt exceptionally clean. - The loungewear wasn’t overly softened with fabric softener and felt smooth and comfortable. I think even those who dislike fragrances could wear it. - We stayed in February, and the sheets were pleasantly soft and slightly moist to the touch. Perhaps thanks to the mattress pad, nothing shifted at all, so we didn’t need to readjust the bedding until morning. Among Resort Hotels on Okinawa’s main island, Business Hotels, and long-established sightseeing hotels back home (in another prefecture) that we’ve used in recent years, this was our favorite. Ryukyu Ganebu wine and the cuisine, a charming Room, and warm hospitality—it was a truly lovely experience that felt like being shown one by one the treasures gained through all the challenges and adventures the owner couple have accomplished so far. I’m glad we chose “Tears” as our first wine toast with our daughters who have only recently become adults. It has become a precious wine tied to special memories, and we’re really looking forward to returning someday to toast here again. I booked this Ryokan two days before my trip to Atami. It is located near Kinomiya Station, which is within walking distance from Atami. The location was excellent, especially being just a few minutes' walk to Kinomiya Shrine. The room was a typical Ryokan style, offering an authentic experience. Although the angle of the room was slightly awkward, I could still catch a glimpse of the sea. This Ryokan also has table tennis facilities, which provided some simple yet enjoyable entertainment. The onsen bath was small but gave a nice onsen experience. However, there were no facial cleansers available, which might be inconvenient for women. I added breakfast to my stay and enjoyed bread, bananas, boiled eggs, fruits, and drinks. While simple in variety, having breakfast at the Ryokan added to the travel atmosphere nicely.

I had pain in my shoulders and lower back, and even daily life felt difficult—I was extremely stressed. The Facility feels a bit old, which can’t really be helped, but the Onsen was excellent. The baths were never crowded, and I didn’t run into other guests at all. I’d like to stay again, though it may be hard to get a Reservation.
