We had a wonderful two-day stay. Upon arrival, we were guided to our room with a detailed explanation, and the room located on an elevated spot offered a stunning view. I booked the Anniversary Plan to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday, and he was delighted with the decorations and cake—it was worth making the reservation. The meals were plentiful, leaving us completely satisfied when we left the accommodation. The atmosphere seemed enjoyable even in colder seasons, so we would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

We booked two separate villas through different travel agencies, but you arranged for them to be close to each other, which was a great help.

This was our first stay, and it was such a cozy and lovely pension. Above all, the owners are truly wonderful people. Their pet cat and dog are also adorable. The meals were delicious, and the atmosphere was delightful. We had hoped to enjoy a bonfire on the terrace, but unfortunately, it started raining. Next time, we hope for good weather so we can enjoy a bonfire on the terrace after dinner in a romantic setting. We also look forward to arriving early next time to relax with tea while reading books from the terrace bookshelf.

Although it’s an older building, it was very clean and well maintained. Best of all, the view of Mt. Fuji is spectacular! The service was excellent, and thank you for your thoughtful hospitality. We’ll be back!

This is a Hotel we’ve stayed at several times. This was our first visit since the dog run was renovated. We made a Reservation under a very good-value Plan, but we were told the listed price was incorrect. At checkout, we paid an additional charge for one more person. On the day, another party apparently canceled, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves! Thanks to that, we were able to relax and take it easy. We also heard the head chef has changed, and the meals—especially breakfast—were upgraded and delicious. The only disappointment was that a staff member who always adored our dog (and whom our dog loved) had left last year. They are still featured in staff introductions on Instagram, so I assumed they were still at Aburatsubo. Since we were looking forward to seeing them again, both my husband and I were shocked. To avoid misunderstandings like this, it might be better to remove Instagram posts featuring staff who have left. I was worried whether our dog would like the renovated dog run, but they seemed to love it and played happily. Fortunately, another staff member is still at Aburatsubo and gave our dog lots of attention during our stay as well, which made us very happy. It’s close by within the prefecture, so we’re thinking of visiting again during the summer season.

I stayed in a dormitory. It seems the men’s and women’s areas are separated, likely to the left and right with the front lounge in between. The building itself is new and stylish, and the Room felt compact (about three bunk beds per Room?), but each bed was spacious. Having a toilet and washbasin inside the Room was especially convenient. Perhaps because of the location, many guests were very well-mannered, and the wash area was always clean, making for a comfortable stay. The Accommodation is part of a shopping arcade building; downstairs there’s a stylish souvenir shop, Chinese food and pasta restaurants, and even a movie theater—such a great modern use of the space. They were showing “National Treasure.” I enjoyed walking around to Tenmangu Shrine, the Former Karatsu Bank Building, the Former Oshima Residence, and Karatsu Castle (a bit far but accessible by bus), as well as stopping by a supermarket. After picking up my stored luggage, it was just a 3-minute walk to the station. With excellent access for exploring on foot, this was an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again. Recently, hotels around Atami Station have become expensive, costing nearly 20,000 yen. This guesthouse is not only well-located but also clean. My room was a premium one with double the space of a standard room, making it comfortable even with lots of luggage. Everyone had good manners, and I could sleep soundly until morning without needing earplugs. The Wi-Fi is fast and works without any issues. The ceiling height is low, which can be slightly inconvenient when changing clothes, but it’s not bothersome while sleeping. There are shared facilities like a refrigerator, microwave, and kitchen, making it ideal for those looking to save on costs.

We planned to visit my mother's grave and do some sightseeing, so we looked for a place to stay and found this pension. We initially reserved one room for four people, but since it felt a bit cramped for four adults, the owner kindly offered us two rooms instead. The pension itself is undeniably old, but both the owner and his wife were very friendly and approachable. Most importantly, the meals were absolutely delicious! Our whole family kept saying how tasty everything was. When making your reservation, I highly recommend including dinner in your plan. We chose a room with an attached bathroom and toilet, which allowed us to use them without worrying about other guests—this was very convenient!

I was able to spend a relaxing time while enjoying the beautiful scenery at the quiet seaside. The shared space had stylish interiors, and at night, the indirect lighting created a wonderful and calm atmosphere. There was a display of various spices, which was intriguing. The owner was kind, and the seafood bowl restaurant in Shimonoseki that was recommended was cheap and delicious, leaving me very satisfied! Breakfast consisted of healthy and delicious steamed vegetables and shumai. I enjoyed it while watching the sunrise on the terrace. It was also interesting to try various spices. Since the curry seems to be delicious, I would love to come back here to eat when I visit Shimonoseki again.

I used it for regular sightseeing. The facilities are minimal, but there were no problems, and the cost performance is top-notch. The wifi environment is well-equipped, allowing for a comfortable stay. Thank you.

From the kind guidance before our stay to the Room layout, Facility, and amenities, we felt thoughtful care in every detail and enjoyed a warm, happy time. We are simply grateful to the wonderful staff. Also, when you stay here, don’t forget to bring your pajamas!

The host, who has a deep love for Tsushima, provided excellent hospitality. They showed us a video on their website and recommended a nearby observatory, allowing us to enjoy sightseeing outside of our Plan. The meals were fish-based and absolutely delicious. As someone who doesn't usually eat much fish, I especially appreciated this experience. The Room was clean and tidy, and although the bath was separated by gender, it could be locked for private use. There was also a washing machine available. While the maintenance of the water facilities could have been better (the toilet was clean), everything else was satisfactory. Waking up early allowed me to watch the sunrise within walking distance and take a stroll along the beach—it was amazing! The recommended Nishidomari Beach felt like having it all to ourselves. Although the sea wasn't as blue due to recent heavy rain, it was still beautiful. I hope to visit again in better weather conditions!

Located in a residential area, it was very quiet.

The exterior is a two-story house, while the interior features a rescue cat shelter and accommodation with a warehouse-style design. Staff are always on-site to care for the cats. The accommodation feels like an added bonus. It is in a condominium style, fully equipped with a kitchen, refrigerator, tableware, and detergent. Water in the refrigerator is free of charge. Alcoholic beverages are also available at very affordable supermarket-level prices. Guests can cook if they bring their own ingredients. The TV allows access to YouTube and other streaming services. The bathroom does not have reheating functionality, and there is a strong odor from the drainpipe. The sauna outside was not used during our stay. The toilet is clean, and the washroom offers hotel-quality amenities. Original pajamas (top and bottom) are provided for each guest. For multiple night stays, linen changes are available upon request. The shelter area connects via an enclosed corridor with double locks; it can be accessed freely between 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Guests can assist with breakfast or dinner preparation for the cats if desired; however, as nearly 60 cats live together in one room, there is quite a strong smell present throughout that area. If doors to the accommodation section are left open, odors may spread into that space as well. While functional as a shelter facility for rescued cats, it cannot be described as entirely hygienic—cleaning of litter boxes appears infrequent. Please note this location operates differently from "cat cafes," so expectations should align accordingly. In conclusion: unless you absolutely adore cats beyond measure—this experience might not suit everyone’s preferences! However passionate feline enthusiasts will likely find themselves returning repeatedly despite challenges faced amidst what could only humorously yet aptly described perhaps akin-to-a-cat-heaven-or-chaos scenario!

The private villa feel was wonderful. The views were excellent, and the Onsen was relaxing—we really enjoyed our stay. The location was convenient, with the nearest convenience store about a 10-minute drive away.

A cozy, family-run Accommodation. A supermarket is nearby, and you’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks. I’ll be visiting Karumai several times for work this year, so I’ll stay here again.

Although the building is old, it feels well maintained and the Room was clean. I was able to relax and unwind by soaking in the slightly larger bathtub in the basement bath. It would be even better if morning bathing were available. I would like to stay here again when visiting the area.

I stayed with my beloved dog. The Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Facilities for dogs were well-prepared, but there was only one food bowl for dogs, which was inconvenient. I wanted to visit the dog run, but unfortunately, it rained and I couldn't use it. However, overall, the place is spacious as it's a golf course and perfect for taking walks with your dog.
