As soon as we arrived at the parking lot, Hotel staff came over and helped carry our luggage. The entrance, surrounded by trees, had a lovely atmosphere, and the Room felt comfortable with its modern Japanese style. The private open-air bath was pleasantly lukewarm—perfect for relaxing—while the large public bath was set to around 41°C, which felt just right. The water is clear and neutral in scent and taste, leaving a refreshing feeling after bathing. Dinner was a chef’s creative course menu, and each dish was carefully prepared—we were very satisfied. For us in our 60s, it was almost more than we could finish. The grounds are spacious, with spring water flowing into a pond with koi. The pathways are full of charm as well, but they are somewhat long and include slopes, so older guests should take care. At check-in you can receive feed for the ducks. Ducks (and cats) come close looking for food and are adorable, but they may compete for it; some guests were bitten when feeding directly from their hand, so please be careful. After an unexpected evening rain stopped, we looked outside late at night to find a sky full of stars. On clear summer nights, it seems you could lie back on the terrace couch and enjoy stargazing. I did wish the Room trash bin were a bit larger. The staff were thoughtful in many ways overall, making this a very pleasant stay.

The Facility is comfortable, and the staff are very attentive. I’m especially grateful that when taxis were busy and we were told it would be 30 minutes past checkout, we were waiting outside in the heat, and they kindly invited us to rest inside until the taxi arrived. We had small children and an elderly family member with us, so we truly appreciated it.

There was a long line for breakfast, and I had to wait so long that I gave up halfway.

The location, Hotel reception, Room, and breakfast were all excellent. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Ofuna. Thank you very much.

Both the quality and quantity of the meals were more than satisfying. The bath water had the unique feel of Ureshino Onsen, and I soaked in the in-room bath four times. If I have the chance, I would stay again.

As I was pregnant, we stayed here for what would be our last trip as a family of three. The staff were very polite and attentive. They explained the Room thoroughly, and since it came with an open-air bath, we were able to relax and enjoy bathing privately as a family. The meals were delicious, and at check-out they even took a photo of us at the entrance, leaving us with wonderful memories.

Among the many Accommodations, we chose Taira no Ie because of the breakfast and a Room with a view of Yubatake. It wasn’t a typical breakfast—suiton, chimaki, and dessert waffles were available for seconds, and we were completely full. Everything was delicious. The Room was spacious and clean even for four adults, and it was great to have two sinks. The staff were young foreigners, but their service was excellent; they spoke Japanese earnestly and it was charming. The Onsen water was very hot, but it left our skin feeling smooth. It was right in front of Yubatake, so it was convenient for walking around, but getting up to the Accommodation by car was difficult because of the steep slope and crowds. Still, we’re glad we chose Taira no Ie. We fully enjoyed Kusatsu Onsen. Thank you very much.

We stayed here with our family of four during our trip to Kyoto and Osaka. Since we booked the Family Suite, we received services such as welcome drinks, and they even celebrated our child’s birthday for us—thank you very much. The Room was more than spacious enough, the amenities were well stocked, and the outstanding location with Osaka Castle towering right in front of us made us extremely satisfied. Breakfast was also high quality across the board and delicious. We are also grateful for the wonderful hospitality from everyone at the Hotel. Thanks to you, it became a truly memorable family trip. This was our first return visit since our son, now 19, stayed here when he was 2. The hospitality and attentive management were just as outstanding as ever. New thoughtful services have been added since then, such as the option to switch breakfast to lunch and early check-out, and our whole family of four—including our 12-year-old daughter—enjoyed every moment. The cleanliness around the pool and the beauty of the sea are clearly thanks to everyone’s daily care. It is truly a wonderful Hotel.

I was happy to be able to celebrate my birthday here again this year. Not only was the Room wonderful, but the meals were delicious, and the staff’s hospitality was excellent—I’m always grateful. The towel cake in the Room and the mago chazuke I had been hoping to try made it even more special. I had a truly lovely time. Thank you very much.

In June, we visited USJ. This month, we stayed here while enjoying the Night Afternoon Tea at Hanaza. After a wonderful dinner, we took the train one stop and went for a stroll around Grand Green Osaka. Enjoying the cool evening breeze made for a lovely time… and since it’s so close to the station, it was easy to come and go freely. After returning to the Hotel, the Onsen soothed our tired feet. We will definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary trip—our first visit to Sanriku since the earthquake. We were excited, wondering what kind of Hotel it would be, and were surprised to learn that members of the Imperial Family have stayed here! There were rows of photos displayed in front of the elevators on the lobby floor. Wondering what our Room would be like, we entered the one assigned to us—and right in front of us was a panoramic view of Jodogahama! We couldn’t help saying to each other, “What a great Room!” After taking in the view, we headed straight to the large public bath. It also had an open-air bath, and we enjoyed a relaxing soak. Since we had time before dinner, we spent it singing karaoke—by then we were nicely hungry. Dinner was a luxurious buffet, featuring live kitchen stations for nigiri sushi and steak—our first time experiencing that. There were also many local dishes, and we ended up far beyond full. We had breakfast early at 6:30: a buffet seafood rice bowl where you can choose your favorite toppings. Although it was unfortunately raining outside, the sea view had an atmospheric beauty like an ink painting. It became a truly memorable anniversary trip. As we left the Hotel, we talked about wanting to come back again for another anniversary in a few years’ time. Finally, thank you so much to all the staff for your wonderful hospitality!

The Room was spacious and clean, which was great. The lounge was also large, and the afternoon tea sweets were delicious. During cocktail time, they offered draft beer, bottled beer, sparkling wine, red and white wine, and sake, which was excellent. For a lounge available to all guests, the quality was very high. It’s close to the station, with restaurants and a supermarket nearby as well, making it very convenient. I would consider making this my regular Accommodation in Kyoto.

I chose this Accommodation because I wanted to visit Mihama Beach and it was conveniently located, but I was amazed by the incredible hospitality. The proprietress was like sunshine, and all the other staff were so pleasant—truly a wonderful Accommodation. The young woman who served dinner even picked up on our small conversation and celebrated my husband’s birthday, which we hadn’t mentioned. The Room cushions were unbelievably thick and fluffy—so much so that I almost hesitated to sit on them. Since I was traveling with my elderly father, they were very considerate of him, and he was in great spirits as well. This is the first time I’ve experienced such a warm Accommodation. Thank you very much!

This was my first time staying here! I stayed after a live concert. I was happy with the wide variety of amenities and coffee options. The Room was very clean and spacious, and I was excited that the TV had dedicated access to YouTube and more! The bathroom was also clean—this was truly a wonderful Hotel. It’s also close to Yokohama Station, which was great!

We stayed here for our family trip at the end of summer vacation. It was a special Room—the only one of its kind in the Hotel. It had the space of two Rooms plus a living area, and an exceptionally large bathroom—about the size of another Room—with a spacious bathtub where you can fully stretch out, as well as a separate shower room. The bubble-bath function had been removed, but features such as the marble flooring gave it a very luxurious feel. There were also private stairs, a ramp, and an exclusive corridor leading to this special Room, with outstanding attention to privacy. From the Room, we enjoyed breathtaking views over all of Lake Megami and the surrounding mountains. There were three large TVs, which delighted our children, and we could use the air conditioning as well, so we stayed comfortable throughout our visit. The public bath included an open-air bath and even two saunas, and the lockers were clean. From the open-air bath we could look out over Lake Megami and the mountains while relaxing in the Onsen. We enjoyed cooling off in the cold bath, watching clouds drift by, and taking our time to fully appreciate Tateshina Onsen. As it was peak season, both dinner and breakfast were buffet only; while there weren’t many items overall, each dish was truly delicious. The coffee did not seem to be freshly drip-brewed from a machine like those found at some buffets, so having a coffee machine would be nice. Next time we are very much looking forward to trying kaiseki cuisine at the basement-level restaurant as well. As an IKYU.com Diamond member benefit I requested late check-out; unfortunately it wasn’t possible due to peak season demand. Still, this is such a wonderful Hotel that we wanted to stay even longer—the Room was beautiful, spacious, and impressive in every way. Thank you also for the Diamond member gifts (a bottle of wine and souvenirs from Nagano). Since in Parking Lot No. 1 the wheelchair-priority space is shared with EV charging spaces, I think it would be better to separate them so that enough spaces can be secured to meet nighttime EV charging demand while keeping accessible parking available at all times. We arrived at 11:00 and completed check-in procedures first; the front desk staff were excellent. We requested early check-in but it wasn’t possible due to peak season; however when keys became available before 3:00 p.m., they were handed out in order of completion of procedures—so arriving early was worthwhile for us after all. We will be staying in this same Room again in the future as well; thank you in advance from our whole family for your continued hospitality. Thank you very much to all staff members.”

Although it is one of Tokyo’s long-established Hotels, I did not feel any aging or deterioration in the Room at all, unlike what some other Reviews mentioned. Everything was very clean. We stayed as a family of three, and the extra bed was also comfortable and well made. From the bathroom, we could relax while enjoying an exclusive view of Tokyo through a large open window. The club lounge offerings were excellent. We went from tea time, and the shrimp avocado roll and roast beef sandwich were outstanding. I was also delighted to find Laurent-Perrier champagne available. The selections during evening time and morning time were both wonderful—I ended up having champagne in the morning as well. Above all, I truly appreciate the superb service from the lounge staff, which made our time there so pleasant. That said, when some items ran out, it took a while for them to be replenished; I thought it couldn’t really be helped and it didn’t disappoint me. As a Diamond member, we had a 1:00 p.m. checkout, so we were able to take our time and relax. I would definitely like to stay again, and next time I’d like to plan a Multiple Night Stay.

The spacious Room and the large public bath on the top floor are very comfortable, and the Hotel is quiet, making it easy to relax. The meals—both the kaiseki course and the yakiniku course—are generous and delicious. I grew to love the view from the balcony and started visiting Kita-Karuizawa regularly. On clear days when you can see Mt. Asama, the view is truly breathtaking. Highly recommended.

Everything was beautifully picture-perfect, and we spent two very peaceful days enjoying coffee and drinks. Even on a rainy day, the garden greenery and the pond’s surface looked even more vibrant, making for a wonderfully relaxing time. Thank you for arranging the birthday card. We would love to visit again.

Since it had been rebranded and was offered at a campaign rate, we stayed in the Premium Suite. As expected, the Room was tastefully put together, and it truly felt like they had moved away from the image of an old-fashioned Onsen Ryokan. The private bath, which is usually available for a fee, was also provided free of charge. You make a Reservation through the Accommodation’s dedicated app, then pick up the key at the front desk when it’s time. We ended up departing early in the morning on short notice, but we’d like to stay here again when we visit Minami-Izu.
