It’s a bit of a walk after leaving the station, and the approach to the Hotel isn’t very attractive. However, the Hotel itself was excellent. The building is old, but the Room felt thoroughly clean in every corner, and the air conditioning was comfortable without being overly cold. The unit bath was fairly spacious, and with the bath salts provided I could stretch out and relax, which helped relieve my fatigue. I was also personally happy that the skincare amenities were from Kalahari. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming with warm smiles. It was my first time in Mito, and I’m glad I chose this Hotel. When I visit Mito again, I’d like to stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality.

We chose the Umitamago Room. There were lots of plush toys in all sizes, and the kids were thrilled! They tucked a big walrus plush into one futon and slept next to mom. While drifting off, they said, “Let’s come again.” The changing area was spacious, with a large mirror and bright lighting—very easy to use. I used to think Hotel towels were limited to one bath towel and one face towel per person and not very absorbent, but here we had one bath towel and two face towels each, and they were nicely absorbent. Both the front desk staff and the dining staff were kind to our children—everyone was wonderful. Meals included dinner and breakfast buffets, and both were delicious! If I had to ask for one thing, it would be a small toothbrush for kids. Overall, we were very satisfied and would love to visit again!

I’ve had more chances to stay at other Route Inn hotels recently, so this time in Matsuyama I chose Route Inn instead of my usual Accommodation. It’s a little far from Okaido, but there are plenty of izakayas nearby, and it was great that there is an on-site parking lot. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very pleasant. I didn’t really need breakfast, so it would be appreciated if No Meals Included could be selected.

We stayed in a Superior Twin Room with a loft and a lake-side living area. The Room was spacious, and having a separate living area felt refreshing. The bed was very comfortable, and it was great that we could watch another TV from the bed. The meals were delicious and very generous in portion size. The grilled shabu-shabu with Japanese Black Wagyu beef and the salt-grilled nodoguro were especially tasty. The Onsen was also very relaxing. It would have been even better if there had been a sauna.

The Room was small, but it was more than enough for one person. It was my first solo trip in a while, and I had a very pleasant stay. The Room was thoroughly cleaned and felt very comfortable. Check-in went smoothly, and the staff explained everything carefully. They had a memory foam pillow at the exact same height as the one I use at home, so I slept very well. Breakfast was also delicious. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

It’s just a little (in terms of feeling) away from the station area, but that made it calm and comfortable. It’s still close to the station, and there’s also a convenience store nearby. In the Room, if you open the roller blind, you can be seen from outside, so it would be perfect if there were an additional sheer curtain. The bathroom was clean, and I ended up using it many times. The breakfast venue felt slightly hot—perhaps because of the oden or the air conditioning. I think it would have been even better with lower humidity. The meals felt like standard business-style fare with a Kanazawa touch. I slept well. If I have another chance, I’d like to stay again. Thank you very much.

The meals were delicious (dinner and breakfast), and there was so much at dinner that we couldn’t finish it all. My wife seemed to love it too and said she’d like to come again. The service was excellent, and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. Thank you very much.

There are three types of Onsen: a private open-air bath, a family bath, and a large public bath—all of which were very satisfying. The meals were also delicious. We were able to spend a quiet, relaxing, and happy time.

I think this was my fourth visit, but this time I came with friends. The meals, atmosphere, and checkout time were all excellent. I noticed there were more international staff than before, but everyone had a wonderful smile and was doing their best with Japanese. They were kind and it felt great. The only downside was that there wasn’t enough toilet paper for two women. The atmosphere is nice, but the lighting is quite dim, which made it hard to do makeup. The private room at Hatago no Naka was amazing, but since I’m easily scared, I wished there had been a small night light when sleeping. Overall it was fantastic. I enjoyed it even more with friends than with family. The food is great too—if there were a few more sweet options, it would be even better.

This is my favorite Accommodation where I can always enjoy a comfortable stay. This time, I forgot my smartphone charger and panicked, but they kindly lent me one. I was also happy to be on the top floor with a great view, with a clear sight of the newest buildings and the TV tower. I will stay here again.

Late on a Friday in mid-September, my wife and I decided to spend the weekend at a quiet, rustic Onsen, so we searched on IKYU. We couldn’t go too far, so at first we looked into Kofu and Isawa along the Chuo Expressway. Then we found an Accommodation with photos of a stunning entrance—turns out it’s in Otsuki, a place we usually just pass by (sorry!). I hesitated for a moment after reading in a Review that there’s a narrow forest road on the way to the Accommodation (laugh), but I felt drawn to it and made a Reservation. After actually visiting—absolutely the right choice! It was exactly as I had imagined, and we were very satisfied with both the Onsen and the meals. In particular, given its riverside mountain setting, the salt-grilled char was outstanding. The choice of ingredients that matched the location truly impressed me. It felt like an adults-only hideaway, and the staff’s thoughtful sense of distance—attentive without being intrusive—was wonderful. My wife and I are already talking about coming back in another season. Thank you very much for everything.

We have stayed with our dog at many luxury hotels in Japan and abroad, and this was honestly one of the very best—easily competing for No.1 or No.2. If I were to compare it overseas, it was so exceptional that I genuinely couldn’t decide whether it surpasses the Manor at Capella Singapore. It was a detached villa suite of outstanding quality, fully comparable to top luxury hotels worldwide. We stayed for two nights from 9/20 with three family members and our dog. Because a typhoon was approaching, we arrived earlier than planned, but the staff handled everything politely and smoothly and escorted us to our room about two hours earlier than the standard check-in time. Before our stay, I read every review on Ikkyu, and I felt that many of the points raised in past feedback had been improved. I was also impressed by how sincerely guest opinions are taken into account. Since this two-night stay cost around 1,000,000 JPY, I was slightly concerned about whether the experience would truly match the price—but the sense of exclusivity in Annex (No.100) exceeded all expectations. The dedicated parking space; an approximately 300 m² private dog run; a two-story layout with two bedrooms; in-room dining available exclusively for this villa; complimentary champagne and free drinks in the refrigerator; private dining rooms when using the restaurant—every detail felt thoughtfully differentiated in a way that made complete sense. The meals were especially outstanding—clearly a level above any hotel we have stayed at before. The matsutake course and clay-pot rice were exquisite, and on our second night they prepared an entirely different menu from the first day despite our consecutive stay. To truly experience RETONA at its best, I strongly recommend staying at least two nights—and if possible, choosing this villa suite specifically (though I’m sure other rooms are wonderful as well). It became an unforgettable three days worthy of my daughter’s 12th birthday and our dog’s 6th birthday. We are deeply grateful to all staff members for their warm hospitality, including their attentive email communication even before arrival. If I may mention just one small request: there was a spider web on the ceiling above the sink area. We fully understand that insects are common given the natural surroundings—and it was minor enough for us to remove ourselves—but checking higher areas as well would make everything even more perfect. Next time we will definitely return as a family to stay in the same room again—perhaps in spring or summer—to enjoy seasonal dishes different from this visit. This has become one of my favorite luxury hotels. Thank you very much indeed.

I had a very comfortable stay. The service, food, and location were all very satisfying. One concern: I felt the height of the privacy screens at the large public bath might still allow it to be seen from the beach in front, which bothered me.

Three female friends and I stayed for two nights. Dinner was a set course, and the menu was different on each night. For breakfast, in addition to individual plated assortments, there was also a buffet with salad, hot-spring eggs, and more—and above all, everything was delicious and truly impressive!! The service was also excellent!! The reason I rated the facilities and amenities 4 is that the water faucet at the far right of the washing area in the hot spring made a loud noise when running hot water; I also wished cotton swabs were available at the amenity station near the front desk (they were in the bathroom); and on the second night towels were left in our room and trash had been taken out, but used towels were left behind, and our glasses were not replaced, which was disappointing. However, when we mentioned this at the front desk, they apologized very politely. If I have a chance to visit Akita again, I would definitely like to stay here. Thank you very much for two wonderful days!!

It was a wonderful Room where we could soak in a free-flowing hot spring bath while enjoying the spectacular views of Mt. Hakusan, soothing our tired bodies and minds from everyday life. The meals were also excellent, with delicious dishes served in a private dining room. The building feels a bit old, but it was clean, and it was a comfortable Hotel for us seniors. It is an Accommodation we would like to visit again.

After dinner, when we stepped outside, it was pitch-dark—only the sounds of insects and the flowing river. The mountain view wrapped in morning mist was truly beautiful, and this Accommodation was incredibly relaxing. Every time, I enjoy looking for a Hotel with Rooms that make my family say “Wow!”—and this time, of course, they did. Seeing the exterior, they said they never expected such a beautiful Room (laugh). Before our stay, we received a phone call about road closures and allergies; everyone was so kind that even before arriving, I already wanted to come back. The meals also reflected the cook’s kindness—everything served warm was freshly made and delicious. We couldn’t finish everything and ended up leaving some of the kamameshi rice. They kindly offered to make rice balls for us, but we were truly too full so we declined. It was very tasty, but there were really so many dishes that if upgrading meant slightly smaller portions and perhaps one more type of sashimi instead, that would be wonderful. The bath was also great, but the shower position was too high, and I wished there had been cold water available after getting out. If it were closer to home, it’s an Accommodation I’d want to visit every year.

Whenever I visit Ishigaki Island, I stay at this Hotel. The view from the Room is wonderful, and the Facility is compact overall, making it comfortable and easy to spend time here. Breakfast doesn’t have a huge variety, but it tastes good, and I’m happy they also offer several kinds of fruit. The price isn’t too high, and it’s in a convenient location, so I recommend it!

The Room felt smaller compared to other Route Inn twin rooms. With two adults and suitcases, there was no space to open them comfortably. Other Facilities and services were as usual, comfortable and satisfactory. I would like to stay again.

I’ve been staying here off and on for years. This time I arrived a little early, but the front desk kindly let me check in anyway—thank you. The staff always greet guests with a steady, friendly smile, and they are consistently helpful. Guests can use the large public bath for 150 yen. The Facility is old, but the Room was clean and I had nothing to complain about. There isn’t a microwave in the Room, but it seems there are microwaves on each floor. So even if you bring your own food, you should be able to heat it up. Even with a late check-in, there are restaurants nearby. There’s also a convenience store, so finding something to eat won’t be a problem. I really love this Accommodation. I can’t come often, but I’ll visit again soon. My partner liked it so much that they seem to stay here alone sometimes. I’d like to stay again in the near future. Thank you as always to everyone at the front desk.

Staying here was absolutely the right choice. The staff were wonderful, the food was excellent, and the views were beautiful—we were very satisfied. These days, there are fewer chances to chat with hotel staff wherever you stay, but Kazuraya felt warm and welcoming, which we really appreciated. We’d love to visit again. Thank you very much.
