We stayed in a 4-person Room with our 12-month-old. It feels geared toward international travelers, but it was also very family-friendly, so I’m sharing what worked well for us and a few things to note. With diapers, baby food, extra clothes, and all the usual baby gear—and traveling solo—I wanted to reduce what I had to carry. When I asked, they kindly allowed me to ship our luggage ahead of time. They even placed our size-80 parcel in the Room in advance, which was incredibly helpful. [Room] A tatami-style Japanese Room where your baby can crawl comfortably. There are no steps at the entrance, and with tatami plus mattresses there’s little risk of a crawling baby falling off an edge. There is a closet with handles positioned out of a child’s reach. It was convenient for storing anything we didn’t want our child to touch. The TV is a smart TV. You can play YouTube (we watched “Shinapushu”). It’s wall-mounted, so there’s no worry about it tipping over. There are firm cushions about 10 cm high. If your child can sit independently, you can seat them on one during meals. [Bathroom] It’s a unit bath but spacious enough that if your child can pull up or sit steadily, you can bathe together in the tub. The sink area is wide with space around it for toiletries, so washing bottles was easy. (There may not be enough space/height to keep a sterilizing case set up.) [In-house Facility] There is a shared microwave available for warming baby food. [Checkout time] Checkout is until 11:00 AM, which makes it easy to feed breakfast/baby food before leaving. [Area] It’s flat from the station. There’s a drugstore near the station and a convenience store almost next door. It gets very quiet at night. [Things to note] If your Room is on the 2nd floor or higher, there is no elevator—carrying strollers and luggage upstairs may be difficult. There are Rooms on the 1st floor as well. Power outlets in the Room are within reach of small children. The entryway area isn’t large enough to leave a stroller open inside. To avoid getting things dirty you’ll need to bring it into the Room folded up; alternatively there is luggage storage space outside the Room where you can leave items (very convenient). The bathroom door can slam shut even with help from a 1-year-old—watch out for pinched fingers. They provide many helpful items such as an air humidifier, thermometer/hygrometer(?), pens, etc., but for peace of mind it may be best to put them somewhere out of reach right away so your child doesn’t break anything. Although each room is private, the layout feels more like a guesthouse than an isolated hotel room—if your child tends to cry loudly at night often/for long periods، you might feel slightly self-conscious.

Because a Cancellation Fee applied from the time of Reservation, we were nervous until departure, but we were able to stay without any issues. The location is great, with a parking lot just a short walk away, along with shops for groceries and shopping, restaurants, and souvenir stores—very convenient. The Room had two beds and a bunk bed, and the outdoor bath was incredibly relaxing—our whole family loved it. The washing machine is free to use, and there is a shared drying area with plenty of hangers, so you can also dry clothes in the Room. There is also a paid dryer, so you won’t have any trouble. In the shared space, we could cook rice and use the microwave, chat with other guests, and enjoy a valuable experience that you can’t usually have at other Hotels. Our family of four had a wonderful time. Both the owner and his son were kind and calm, and they helped us very thoughtfully when we accidentally left something behind. It was such a lovely Accommodation that we would definitely like to stay again when visiting Miyakojima. Thank you very much.

I’ve stayed here several times. Although some of the Facility is aging, the inside of the dome is kept very clean and well maintained, so I’m always satisfied. The food is also delicious. I’ll be back again.

The soft-serve ice cream and cocoa in the lounge were absolutely delicious and delightful. The Room was more convenient than the one I stayed in before, and as always, the queen-size bed was spacious and comfortable. The smart TV worked perfectly without any issues. The only downside was the limited number of power outlets, but I would love to stay here again.

This Hotel is just a short distance from the airport. Although it’s near the airport, the area is very quiet with no airplane noise. With a rental car, it’s easy to access many places around the island. The laundry is inexpensive at 300 yen, and the Room is new and clean. Perfect for two people—no complaints. From next time on, when I come to Miyako, this is the Hotel I’ll choose.

This was my first stay. Both breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of side dishes and generous portions, which was great. The meat in particular was delicious. From the Room, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan. The bath is not an Onsen, but it is spacious, and morning bathing is also available. It was disappointing that the Accommodation did not have a refrigerator and only provided 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner.

I stayed at the accommodation for birdwatching at Izunuma. Early in the morning, I was thrilled to see geese flying from the room window. I made the reservation based on reviews, and the staff treated me with kindness and care, making my stay very comfortable.

This Hotel is located on a mountain. It offers stunning views with the distant sea in sight. As we stayed on a weekday, it felt like we had the place to ourselves.

Despite the affordable price, the room came with a TV and refrigerator, and breakfast was included. With Hotto Motto next door, a convenience store nearby, and AEON close by, it was an excellent location. Thank you for the kind and attentive service from the staff.

We stayed here as a base for a ski trip to Naeba, Suhara, and Kagura. Since we chose an expressway discount plan with a lift-ticket set for touring multiple resorts, we didn’t worry about the distance to the nearest interchange. We narrowed down options across several areas and booked based on this priority: a high-quality Onsen available anytime > location (quiet and tucked away) > price. The Onsen is pleasantly lukewarm with soft water quality—I’ve lost count of how many times I soaked. It feels like being wrapped in a futon, and it’s so relaxing that once I soaked absentmindedly without even turning on the bath lights before evening… and before I knew it, it was midnight. Unlike circulated baths that make you sweat heavily in 5–10 minutes, this one is different: no matter how many times I bathed, my skin never felt dry. On the guestroom floor there is a microwave, vending machines for soft drinks, alcohol, and snacks, plus a jug of local spring water. It seemed like soft water and tasted great—I refilled it many times. I’ll stop here—if I praise it too much, I might not be able to get a Reservation next season. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

The front desk staff are exceptionally courteous and attentive, so even though the Facility is a bit old, it never feels inconvenient. In addition to the in-Room shower, there is a small shared bath, which was perfect for resting my body after touring. Thanks to this Accommodation, I came to like Tokushima City as well. I have never experienced this level of satisfaction at this price anywhere else, and I highly recommend it. Amenities such as toothbrushes are available next to the front desk as needed. The Room key is a traditional key type. In a good way, everything you need is provided—more than enough for a minimal setup.

This was my second stay in a twin room, and I really like how the interior doesn’t feel like a container at all each time. While traveling,

We tried all three private baths, and each one was an excellent, invigorating Bandai mineral spring. Getting to the Yubatake area can be a bit challenging due to some steep slopes, but it makes for just the right amount of exercise after eating and drinking. The complimentary breakfast kamameshi was also delicious.

At first, I was a bit worried because it was a private lodging style stay, but check-in went smoothly and the Hotel Room was very clean. It was also conveniently close to both the station and the aquarium, and it was very quiet with no noise from outside. The Hotel parking lot only has three spaces and was full, but we were able to park cheaply at a nearby Times Parking lot.

I stayed here to attend a concert at LaLa Arena TOKYO-BAY. It was very close to the station, and it was great that I could walk to the venue. I also stopped by a delicious izakaya on the way! If I go to LaLa Arena TOKYO-BAY again, I’d love to stay here again. Thank you!

The other day, I had my annual “crab day” at Genmyoan again. This time they prepared Taiza crab for me, and I was able to enjoy it. It was three hours of satisfaction—satisfied, satisfied, truly satisfied. They do not serve hot pot dishes like “crab suki” here, and I agree that turning such great crab into a hot pot would be a waste. That is exactly why I keep choosing Genmyoan. They said it snowed quite a bit this year, but on my visit there was only a little snow left along the roadside. Genmyoan sits halfway up the mountain, and I believe it may be the only place with this kind of view looking down over Amanohashidate. The location is outstanding. As shown in the photos, being able to enjoy scenery that changes with time from your Room is very appealing. On the other hand, when it snows heavily, driving up the mountain road can be difficult. When I asked the proprietress this time, she told me that during severe snow they will come to pick guests up at Amanohashidate Station with rubber boots in the car. Being able to change into them at the station would be reassuring. (They provide Shuttle Service to the Accommodation regardless of snow.) Also, once you are past 70—even if it’s a once-a-year indulgent crab day—you may worry about not being able to finish everything. It seems they can adjust portions if you request in advance. If they can reduce the amount without compromising quality, you can keep enjoying it at any age. Because this relates to IKYU’s website meal listings and pricing, I do wonder how flexible such arrangements can be—but I would appreciate continued consideration for guests’ convenience. Lastly, their breakfast is also delicious: even when you feel you ate too much crab dinner-wise, you still end up overeating at breakfast. The Onsen has been refurbished and is clean. There is a tasting corner for chilled sake (you can sample and choose before dinner), and there is now a coffee room as well. There is also a room lined with CDs/DVDs/books from the owner’s personal collection; you can bring them back to your Room and enjoy them there. It feels like an Accommodation where each guest can find their own way to relax and have fun.

We stayed here on the last day of our trip to Hokkaido! The bath in the Hotel Room was very clean, and we were able to relax comfortably! Melon was included with breakfast, and that alone made us excited! Even after checkout, they kindly stored our luggage, which was a huge help!

Thank you for taking care of me on my solo trip. I was looking for an Accommodation where I could quietly relax and fully enjoy the Onsen and meals, so I chose Jinpyokaku. Even though it was a hot season, there was plenty of greenery, and the Room was clean, quiet, and truly private. It was extremely comfortable. In particular, the in-room semi-open-air bath with free-flowing natural hot spring water available anytime was outstanding. On the charming walkway to the dining area, I felt soothed by the courtyard while listening to the evening cicadas— a nostalgic feeling that’s hard to put into words. Dinner was served in a private room, and every dish brought out the best of each ingredient—I even found myself thinking how delicious vegetables can be. The shabu-shabu was wonderful as expected, and the deep-fried cod coated with buckwheat groats was especially delicious. The portions were more than enough, and I also really enjoyed the local beer. Above all, what impressed me most was the heartfelt hospitality of all the staff. Their manners were impeccable—almost too perfect—and their thoughtful care made me feel truly grateful. I wanted to rest both mind and body, and I thoroughly enjoyed everything. Thank you very much.

Thanks to the Diamond member benefit allowing us to stay until 1:00 PM, we were able to relax and take our time. The amenities and drinks were well stocked, and everything was comfortable with no inconvenience. The bath had strong water pressure and filled up quickly, which was a nice plus since there was no stress from waiting. Breakfast was delivered to our Room, so we could enjoy it slowly without worrying about others. However, it tended to cool down a bit over time, so better heat retention would make it even nicer. Also, the table in the Room was a little low, making it slightly difficult to eat comfortably. Those were the only minor points—overall, it offered great value for money and we were very satisfied with our stay. We would definitely like to use it again.

It was very close to the entrance of Akame 48 Waterfalls, making it extremely convenient for walking and exploring. The building is old, but the furniture and interior are refined and do not feel rustic. The food was also delicious. We went by car, and there is a steep slope in front of the Accommodation, so it’s best to drive carefully there. Some parts of the road on the way are narrow, but they are well maintained, so as long as you watch out for oncoming cars, there should be no problem.
