I chose this Accommodation because I enjoy visiting Poké Lids and also wanted to try a sand bath. What ultimately convinced me was that every Review I read was highly rated—and I’m truly glad we stayed here. I completely understand why the ratings are so high. All the meals were delicious, the staff had such a pleasant atmosphere, and the Room was kept very clean, so we were able to relax comfortably. (We also went to the liquor store you recommended and bought lots of drinks. Thank you!) Since our child is still small, we used the bath in our Room as well—it was spacious and easy to use. Thank you for your thoughtful touches such as a diaper trash bin, baby soap safe for infants, and wet wipes at the dining area. There were plenty of picture books too, which made our child very happy, and it allowed us parents to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. My favorite part was the Onsen. The moment I got in, it felt strangely like the water clung to my skin, and even the next morning my skin felt moisturized. It also seemed to have great heat-retention—I stayed warm for quite a while after bathing, which felt wonderful and helped relieve my fatigue. I also appreciated having various shampoos and body soaps available—it was fun to try different ones. We’d love to visit again once our child is old enough for a sand bath. I was a bit worried the road to the Accommodation went so far back, but I arrived safely. It’s a quiet Accommodation on the edge of a rural area. They also offer day-use bathing, but the bath area is spacious so it never felt crowded. The Onsen water was soft and at just the right temperature, and I could relax and soak at ease. Dinner was delicious, and I even enjoyed the kamameshi to finish. At night, the open-air bath under a sky full of stars was outstanding. The rice at breakfast was excellent—no surprise for a region known for its rice. It’s not a flashy Facility, but it was a warm and pleasant Accommodation.

I stayed for three nights during the Golden Week holidays while visiting Shigaraki. The amenities were well stocked, and I had a very comfortable stay. The Hotel staff were friendly and approachable, and I’d like to stay at this Hotel again next time. Thank you very much for the three nights.

We stayed here with a group of 11 seven years ago, and both then and this time we were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. This time we stayed with one Papillon, and we were able to stay comfortably without any inconvenience. The Facility is not new by any means, but more than that, you can really feel the cleanliness and the thoughtful amenities. Everyone who assisted us was very pleasant. Next time, I heard there is an Accommodation for couples only nearby, so I would like to take our time and stay there as a couple.

It felt like staying at a relative’s home—nostalgic and comforting—yet the Facility was well equipped, and nothing was lacking. Since there were no other guests on a weekday, I didn’t have to worry about using the kitchen or bath, and it was so quiet that it almost made me uneasy. All necessary amenities were provided, so it seems you could stay even without bringing anything. Clear instructions (in Japanese and English) were posted wherever you might wonder, “What should I do?” If I need to stay nearby again, I’d be happy to use this Accommodation. If I had to mention one thing, I was slightly bothered that cleaning supplies were visible. I think it would feel more relaxing if items guests don’t need to touch were kept out of sight.

It was a wonderful Ryokan. Everything was spotless, and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. The meals were luxurious, and we were able to savor Shizuoka specialties as well. The Okaya package craft beer was also delicious. This is a Ryokan we would like to stay at again when traveling in Shizuoka.

The bath and other facilities were excellent. Since the altitude is high, warm clothing is essential.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay. This is a wonderful guesthouse, just as the Reviews said. Above all, the meals are delicious—you can fully enjoy local ingredients. Although it is run by one person, the Accommodation is spotless throughout and very comfortable. Highly recommended when staying on Tanegashima.

We signed up for the sunset cruise at check-in. The beautiful sunset and the owner’s easy-to-follow stories made it a truly valuable experience. The cruise time changes depending on the sunset. Breakfast was also plentiful, with homemade dried fish and yogurt, among other items. We were completely full. It seems to be family-run, and everyone was kind and welcoming—such a warm Accommodation. Thank you very much.

It was a very clean and beautiful Hotel. It felt new, had no odors, and was cleaned with great care. There were not many guests on the day we stayed, but it was very quiet with no noise, so we could relax peacefully. It is conveniently located close to the station and sightseeing spots. The Japanese-made toothbrush provided was easy to use and very nice. Small touches like this show how much they care about their guests. I would love to stay here again when I travel to Nara. Thank you very much for your hospitality. We truly appreciate being able to make wonderful memories of our trip to Nara.

I stayed for four nights. It’s close to the station, and you can easily walk to sightseeing spots, but because this is a small Accommodation in a quiet residential neighborhood, it’s also convenient to take a break by strolling around nearby areas like Naramachi and then coming back to rest. The owner was very kind, and every restaurant they recommended was stylish, unique, and delicious. I also loved spending relaxing time reading the books in the shared space. You can freely make and drink coffee in the kitchen as well, which makes you feel like you’re living in Nara. The Accommodation and my Room were thoroughly cleaned and spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m in Nara!

I hadn’t stayed at hostels very often, but I can truly recommend this one as a safe and comfortable place to stay. Because of the typhoon, the trains for the next day were canceled. When we were in trouble and panicking, they kindly worried about us, looked up transportation options, and suggested alternatives—they really went out of their way to help. Thank you very much. The Facility included a proper kitchen where it seemed you could cook and eat anything you like, and there was also a bar counter—at night it felt like you could chat over drinks with the Accommodation staff. We didn’t try it ourselves, but it seemed they offer a healthy breakfast made with freshly picked vegetables. The Room only has a shower (no bathtub), but the design includes a small seat, which made it easy to use. It was an Accommodation that would be a waste to stay at for just one day. If you’re planning a slightly longer stay, definitely consider it. Also, it sounds like the Accommodation staff plan various events to entertain guests, so I’d love to visit again on another occasion.

This trip had us constantly checking the weather, but we came with our kids, believing there might still be a chance to stargaze at the observatory. It was cloudy and forecast to clear after midnight, so we arrived early with mixed feelings. Before check-in, we were allowed to play mallet golf for free, and the kids ended up running around nonstop on the playground athletics course in the park. After check-in, we relaxed in the large public bath. It was very clean—it's not an Onsen, but it was great. Dinner was at the restaurant from around 19:00. The food was delicious and very generous; our kids couldn’t finish it, which we felt bad about. We really appreciated that the portions were adjusted for younger and older elementary school children. Then came what we’d been waiting for: stargazing! Unfortunately, because of the clouds, it switched to the planetarium instead. But thanks to those clouds, some guests apparently canceled—and unbelievably, everything ended up being completely private just for us! The director’s friendly talk and quizzes had our kids excited from start to finish. He also projected images of what you can see on a clear night, and it turned into an incredibly satisfying 45-minute journey through space! On our way out, each of us got to choose one favorite photo from the director’s collection taken at the observatory. When we stepped outside afterward, we could faintly see the moon and one or two stars starting to appear. Lights-out was at 21:30. We woke up at 2:00 hoping for a miracle—real stars—and somehow even the kids managed to get up too. Looking out through the large south-facing window, my child shouted “The Milky Way!!” I thought it might be a mistake—but it really was the Milky Way!! In the planetarium earlier, we’d heard that Scorpius is a “miracle constellation,” visible in that alignment only from Earth—and that seeing even its tail requires conditions that are rare even here at Ogawa Observatory… yet there it was as well!! We were so moved and happy that I fell asleep peacefully afterward! Breakfast was also excellent—again our kids couldn’t finish everything (sorry!). All of your staff were friendly and welcoming too; it was a truly satisfying trip! I actually stopped by about 20 years ago while visiting filming locations from *Hakusen Nagashi*, but I only briefly passed through back then—so this time left me deeply impressed.

The room was very clean, and the front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. However, there is no elevator, so you have to take the stairs to your room, which made carrying luggage difficult.

We stayed here to watch a baseball game at ES CON Field. We had originally made a Reservation for a 2LDK Room, but we received an email on the day of arrival and were upgraded to a 3LDK Room. Since one of our group uses a wheelchair, we really appreciated the larger Room and were able to stay very comfortably. The kitchen was equipped with dishes and other essentials, so we had no trouble eating and drinking in the Room. Amenities were minimal, so you’ll need to bring loungewear or pajamas. If I had one suggestion, adding grab bars in the toilet and bathroom would make it even more comfortable for guests who need some assistance. Both check-in and check-out were easy to do with just a smartphone.

The friendly owner, his wife, and their children were wonderful. They shared so much helpful information that our trip to Iki became truly fulfilling. Iki and this Accommodation have become very special places for me. We booked breakfast only, but we thoroughly enjoyed the flavors of Iki from the morning and were completely satisfied. Thank you very much.

My family of three and our dog stayed for three nights. The Room was very clean and well maintained. Although it seemed to be a busy peak season during Obon, we received a warm welcome and send-off, and the attentive care throughout our stay made us feel at ease. There were plenty of nearby attractions such as Toshiki Swimming Beach and Habu Port, as well as a good selection of places to eat, so the location was great. Above all, because this is a family-run Accommodation, we could catch glimpses of the owners’ daily life and enjoy conversations with other guest families, which made the stay feel genuinely warm and comfortable. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity.

It was very relaxing. Our dog also quickly stretched out and made itself comfortable. However, when I asked about parking, I was told to park in any available space in the shop’s parking lot, so I did. But since it was a Multiple Night Stay, when we went out during the day and came back, customers had parked there and we had to wait for a space to open up. It wasn’t clear whether there is dedicated parking for guests or not.

The Room was clean, and the check-in process was handled smoothly. It was an excellent Accommodation for a solo stay. It’s also convenient to have a convenience store within walking distance.

Since it was the day we rented a car, we stayed here thinking it would be fine even if it was far from the station. We weren’t expecting much, but the food was excellent. The tableware was cute, and the presentation was elegant. Considering the price, we’d like to stay again.
