The road to the Facility is a mountain road, and I was worried whether I was on the right track, but they kindly guided me over the phone. When we arrived, I was amazed by how beautiful the scenery was. The food was delicious, and everyone at the Facility was kind and attentive—an outstanding experience. They even took some great photo-worthy pictures for us, and my girlfriend and I made wonderful memories. I’d love to stay here again on a special occasion, so I look forward to coming back. Thank you very much for providing such an enjoyable time.

We stayed for two nights on a family trip. The owner was very kind and attentive, and our whole family was truly happy with the fireworks and Onsen egg service! It turned into a very satisfying 2-night, 3-day trip! Thank you very much. This is an Accommodation we definitely want to use again!!!!

This was our third stay. Once again, both our dog and we were very satisfied. The owner is friendly, and you can really feel their love for dogs. Our dog happily ran around, got completely worn out in the pool, and slept soundly at night zzz. We enjoyed plenty of delicious food, ended up completely full, and slept soundly too zzz. (Everything is tasty, but we especially loved the breakfast and the soup.) This Accommodation is highly recommended for first-time stays with a dog or for families. Next time, we’d like to come with my parents.

Although the building is old, the interior has been thoughtfully renovated and is very comfortable! We stayed as a family of four, and both the bathroom and toilet were spotless, and the futons were fluffy! Since it’s right in front of the station, getting out and about was easy—we were really happy. The parking lot is also spacious. We come to Kazuno City every year, so we’ll stay here again.

This was my first time staying here, and thank you very much for your thoughtful care in every detail. The Room was very clean, and I felt comfortable throughout my stay. It was so pleasant that I naturally felt like, “I should leave it clean when I go.” Thanks to you, I was able to refresh both body and mind, and I left feeling truly energized. Thank you for such a wonderful time. I would love to stay again next time, and I look forward to it.

My first motorcycle trip to Hokkaido. They kindly let me park in the garage, which I really appreciated. There’s also laundry available, and I had time to get everything ready for the next day. And despite the great price, breakfast was amazing: yogurt, burdock potage soup, and hearty sandwiches—very filling. If the weather is nice, you can relax on the terrace while enjoying views of the Tokachi Mountain Range. As this is a pension, the toilet and bath are shared, but even so I’d still recommend it to other riders. By the way, since I stayed on a Sunday, I was the only rider there that day.

The female receptionist was very kind, and the Room was clean. We were satisfied with the value for money, especially with the complimentary drinks and even a small gift for our child. Thank you very much.

Although my plan was No Meals Included, the front desk staff were very helpful, and I was able to use the private bath free of charge. The large public bath was also very clean. It was a little small, so I’m giving it 4 stars. Still, the hot spring water quality felt wonderful. This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

Regardless of whether you’re vegan or not, everything served was incredibly delicious, and I felt soothed from the very first bite. It’s the kind of flavor that makes you understand what “deeply nourishing” really means. The natural lavender herbal bath in the Room was wonderfully calming—just as comforting as an Onsen. The peaceful atmosphere was lovely; I wished I could have stayed longer. Thanks to the owners’ warm personalities, their natural, unpretentious hospitality felt like the very best kind of service.

I’ve stayed at several Accommodations that welcome dogs, but this was the first place where I never once felt restricted “because we have a dog.” Surrounded by nature, it’s a truly soothing space for both people and dogs. I was amazed by the huge 1,200-tsubo lawn garden and even a pool where people can swim too. I was genuinely happy to be able to relax and let my dog roam freely. And I was surprised to be able to enjoy an Onsen in Chiba. What’s more, our Room had a luxurious open-air bath carved from a massive stone! Being able to enjoy the Onsen at any time without worrying about others was the best. Another great point for us was having a two-bedroom layout—an absolute must for our family. I never imagined traveling with our dog could be this comfortable, free, and luxurious… It truly was an amazing time. A wonderful Accommodation where both dogs and people can forget everyday life and fully unwind—we’d love to visit again.

From check-in to check-out, the hospitality was exceptional throughout our stay. Every in-room amenity featured a top-tier brand, and the attention to detail was evident in every aspect. From the Frette bedding and linens to the Bertrami pajamas, everything felt wonderfully soft and comfortable. After 5:00 p.m., we were also able to enjoy a maiko performance in the living room with a glass of champagne in hand—an unforgettable way to experience Kyoto culture.

Since around February this year, I’ve stayed here whenever I visit Kita-Karuizawa for work, and I’ve already returned for more than 10 nights. It’s a long-loved pension, so the building shows its age, but it’s kept very clean. Surrounded by beautiful trees, it feels like an especially perfect location in the coming season. The biggest highlight is the food. Even after staying many times, I can’t recall ever being served the same menu. The owner couple seem to thoughtfully create new dishes each time for repeat guests like me, and I truly appreciate their care. Not only do I look forward to every meal, but chatting with them after dinner has also become a wonderful travel memory. It’s located in Tsumagoi Village, but if you’re traveling to Karuizawa or Kusatsu Onsen, I highly recommend going a little further and staying at Motown. A pension I can wholeheartedly recommend!

We took a 3-night, 4-day trip to Oita with our 4-year-old daughter and stayed here in Yufuin on the final night. Since we had spent the previous two nights at a large Hotel in Beppu, we chose this place because we wanted to relax somewhere quiet in Yufuin. Each guest room is set apart like a separate annex, and the nostalgic atmosphere—like visiting a countryside grandparent’s home—was wonderfully calming. For our daughter, everything felt new and exciting since she doesn’t have things like shoji screens, sliding doors, or a kotatsu at home, and she really enjoyed it. The meals were beautifully presented and delicious, and the baths were not crowded, so we could fully enjoy the spacious open-air bath at our own pace. It was also great that even though it’s in such a convenient location with easy access to Yunotsubo Kaido just a short walk along the river, we could still stay in peace and quiet. I’m glad we were able to end our Oita trip at this Accommodation—it became a wonderful memory for us.

The staff’s hospitality was wonderful, and the dinner was truly delicious, allowing us to fully enjoy our time at the Hotel. Thank you very much. We would definitely like to visit again.

The property was wonderful, with the hostess and all the staff being attentive and considerate. We are truly grateful for accommodating our unreasonable requests. The room and hallway were well-maintained, and the garden exuded a dignified beauty. Thank you for taking care of us.

The Room is comfortable with a pleasant view, and you can enjoy the nearby Heart Rock all to yourself on an early morning walk. The homemade vegetable-rich breakfast prepared by the warm and kind owner was also very delicious.

Wonderful for young golf lovers. About a 1.5-hour drive from Aomori Airport by rental car; there is only a short stretch of expressway, but you have to make many left and right turns. Some sections are narrow two-lane or one-lane roads, and the narrow coastal road can feel a bit scary. You can’t drive fast. The lodge and dining area are connected to the clubhouse’s large public bath (very nice; Natsudomari Onsen until 10:00 p.m.) and the main dining room, where set meals are served (Japanese-style breakfast and dinner), all delicious. The lodge rooms are spacious for four guests and come with a bathtub and shower; having two sinks is great. Very comfortable. Since it’s inside the golf course, the views are outstanding, and both the lobby atmosphere and service are excellent. The only issue is access.

In early summer, Furano and Biei are breathtaking, with vast flower fields starting with lavender—more beautiful than I expected. And a trip really depends on the Accommodation; choosing this one was absolutely the right decision. The view from the dining area was soothing, every dish made with plenty of local ingredients was delicious, and there was a great selection of drinks. The lavender milk ice cream for dessert was especially wonderful! The seasonal Furano melon was also incredibly sweet—an unforgettable taste. To my surprise, the owner and I share exactly the same date of birth, which left me both amazed and feeling an instant connection. It became a lovely travel memory. I would love to visit again someday. Thank you very much.

As the first trip to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, we stayed at Arayashiki in Oki. We were able to relax as if we were at home, including enjoying the garden with a sky full of stars and a campfire. The meals reflected a deep respect for nature and made us feel, “This is what doing things right looks like.” The nature on Dogo Island was wonderful, but as someone who loves spectacular views, I’m glad we made the effort to visit Matengai Cliff in Dozen. If the timing works out, I’d love for our children to experience this too.

I visited with a friend for our once-a-year, slightly indulgent girls’ trip. The Accommodation seems to be located right in front of a local bus stop, but part of the national highway on the bus route was closed due to a landslide and buses were taking a detour, meaning extra travel time from both Takayama and Matsumoto. So my friend drove from Nagoya instead. We took a short break at the Hirugano Kogen Service Area to enjoy the magnificent scenery, and arrived comfortably in just under three hours with no traffic. There were spots with some snow remaining along the sides of the road, but there was no snow on the road itself. Even so, it gets cold in the mornings and evenings, so winter tires are recommended for peace of mind in case of icy conditions. The building is kept impeccably clean and is wrapped in a pleasant quietness and the lovely aroma of charcoal from the irori hearth—while our Room had no odor at all. We were welcomed into a spacious Room with delicious homemade pound cake as part of their hospitality, and as we chatted comfortably, time flew by. The cuisine was truly outstanding—bringing out the full flavor of each ingredient while presenting combinations and plating unlike anything I’d experienced before, far exceeding its reputation and my expectations. As richer foods have started to leave me feeling heavy or unwell the next day over recent years, I especially appreciated how refined every dish was; it felt like food I could happily enjoy even in my 80s without any heaviness. The chef’s and staff’s genuine desire for guests to enjoy themselves came through clearly. Perhaps because of the high altitude, alcohol seemed to hit more quickly—and since I also wanted to bathe—I unfortunately didn’t get around to trying the local craft beer or sake provided in our Room. Still, stepping outside after the sauna into crisp mountain air with grand peaks right before us felt incredible. The private hot Onsen bath attached to our Room—hotter than expected—with jazz at night and birdsong in the morning was pure luxury: an unbelievably relaxing stay beyond what I could imagine. I’d love to return to experience another season’s cuisine as well—I’ve become a true fan. Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality.
