I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve stayed here (probably 5+). It’s hard to find an Accommodation you can stay at within “one Shibusawa” during peak season—there are fewer options to begin with, and the limited supply gets snapped up instantly. But this place (the roadside-type chain, *standard brand only*) is a safe choice. I’ve said it many times: having the bare minimum—parking, a large public bath, breakfast, and a Room where you can spend the night alone without being made uncomfortable—is surprisingly hard. Even within this chain type, these basics can sometimes be missing for reasons that aren’t the Hotel’s fault. In short: it’s necessary and sufficient, so it works. If you want other reasons—an open-air bath, gourmet food, etc.—look for another Accommodation. (There are plenty around Lake Suwa… though they’ll easily exceed “one Shibusawa.”)

The room was small, making it difficult to spread out luggage, but everything else was great. It was clean, and coffee, drinks, and water were provided. The Onsen was also very relaxing.

It was within walking distance of the station, and with restaurants and convenience stores nearby, it was very convenient. The room was kept clean and I had a comfortable stay. The staff were courteous, making the entire stay pleasant from check-in to check-out. With a great balance of price and service, this Hotel is recommended not only for business trips but also as a base for sightseeing. I would like to stay here again when visiting Sendai, Shiogama, or Matsushima.

We stayed during Silver Week and had a very comfortable time. The Room was clean and comfortable, with a great ocean view. We also appreciated the open hanger rack and the spacious, easy-to-use bathroom and toilet. At the breakfast buffet, the Okoppe milk was rich and delicious, and the Mon-ta Monaka was adorable. It was also interesting to see a teppan-yaki-style dish on the menu. We also had dinner, which was very tasty as well. We are deducting points because the U-shaped door lock in the Room felt a bit loose. If we have a chance to visit Mombetsu again, we would like to stay here again.

We stayed here as a couple in our early 50s. The Accommodation was spotless down to every corner, and we had a very comfortable stay. [Room & Bath] The Room with an open-air bath had truly breathtaking views, and we enjoyed the bath three times—after arrival, before bed, and again the next morning. The water temperature was a little on the lukewarm side, so it sometimes felt slightly chilly if we stayed in for a long time, but it was still very relaxing. We also appreciated the spacious wash area with a large mirror, which made getting ready in the morning very easy. [Dining] For dinner, we had the “HAKKO Yaki-Shabu Course.” The main yaki-shabu was exquisite—the meat practically melted in our mouths! The shiitake mushrooms and fried potatoes were also delicious, with carefully crafted flavors you wouldn’t normally get at home. We were fully satisfied all the way through to the ochazuke to finish and dessert. For breakfast, we enjoyed the “Onigiri Bento” while taking in the wonderful view. The portion size was slightly modest, but it was just right for us as a couple. The piping hot roasted green tea was rich and very tasty. We were also delighted by thoughtful touches such as complimentary mineral water—this is a wonderful Accommodation where we would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

It was amazing—about a 5-minute walk from Asato Station and Makishi Station! There’s also a convenience store right in front. Since it’s an older Hotel, the Facility isn’t modern, but everything was well cleaned and nothing felt unpleasant. Amenities were picked up at the front desk. On the second day, one more person joined for a Multiple Night Stay, and they accommodated us without requiring a Room change. We had No Meals Included, so I can’t comment on the food. It was more than enough for a No Meals Included stay! I’d love to stay again next time. Thank you!

I visited during the Obon holidays on a motorcycle. It was raining that day, and we were soaked... As soon as we arrived, a front desk staff member came outside and guided us, saying, “Please park in this space,” and it turned out to be the parking spot closest to the entrance. Then, when we unloaded our luggage and went to the front desk, they immediately handed us bath towels! I’ve stayed at many Accommodations on touring trips, but this was the first time I’d ever received such thoughtful treatment, and it truly made me happy. Of course, you might expect that kind of service at a luxury Accommodation—but this happened at a busy Business Hotel during Obon. Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. For those traveling by motorcycle: since this Accommodation kindly sets aside motorcycle spaces for guests, please let them know your bike type and how many bikes you have when making your Reservation (e.g., “Type ○ motorcycles: ○”).

The Tsukuba Express station is nearby, and the complimentary breakfast and welcome coffee are easy on the wallet. I was very satisfied with the large public bath and the open-air bath as well. The parking lot is a bit of a walk (about 150 m), but I was surprised that it was free. I would gladly stay here again if I have the chance.

We stayed as a family of six. Check-in was smooth, and we were glad we could complete it without any crowds. Our room faced the forest, but every time we used the elevator we could enjoy views of the ocean outside, which was wonderful. The room itself was fantastic—everyone in our group of six could relax comfortably. Our parents slept on futons and said they were even more comfortable than the ones at home; they kept saying they’d like to use them at home too. It was great to be able to recover from travel fatigue. The meals were popular with both kids and adults, with many dishes that appealed across generations. In particular, there was a live-kitchen chicken liver sandwich-style item (I forgot the name) that was so delicious I went back for it about 10 times—thank you for the wonderful meal. The hot spring had a comfortable temperature, so the children could soak calmly as well. The relaxing atmosphere of the relaxation room also helped us unwind, and both parents and kids were very satisfied. What our family loved most was the indoor play area. There were several spacious tatami rooms where we could all enjoy table tennis, badminton, soccer, basketball, and more together. The tatami mats felt a bit old, but it didn’t bother us much. Since it was close to the dining area, we were able to use it a lot before and after meals, which was great. This time we stayed on the forest side, so next time we’d love to try an ocean-side room. We used the Parent-and-Child Trip Plan and the 50+ & Weekday Plan. Our Room was a Japanese-modern suite with a Shigaraki-ware open-air bath (smoking allowed). Spacious and comfortable! The bed was great too! And with breakfast and dinner included, it was just over JPY 11,000 per person—such a good deal! I use e-cigarettes, but even though an ashtray was provided, the Room didn’t smell of smoke at all, so I felt bad and ended up smoking outside. There are ashtrays in several places within the Facility, which was helpful. There isn’t much around within walking distance, so we decided to enjoy our time at the Accommodation. The karaoke was busy, but we managed to get a one-hour slot (additional charge). The karaoke room is quite spacious. The baths do not allow tattoos. My daughter used the public bath while I used the tub in our Room. She said the public bath felt wonderful. The in-room bath was also very comfortable with a nice view. One thing to note: I couldn’t find a faucet for washing up by the bath—maybe there was one? Since there is a separate shower room, I washed there and then moved to the bath. The bathroom door has good soundproofing, so noise hardly reached the bedroom. I relaxed while playing music on my phone. One more thing... The bathroom is fully visible from the bedroom, so when my daughter wanted to use it, I went for a walk outside. A small screen or partition would be helpful. There were bathrobes, but only two small towels and no bath towels. I had brought my own and used that; if you hang it on a hanger it dries quickly. The tub is fairly large and deep—very comfortable. We often stay at Livemax when exploring around Izu, and this place also has great food. I like lively buffet atmospheres, so we enjoyed it here as well. All-you-can-eat salmon roe at both dinner and breakfast—this was amazing! Dinner items like meat and shrimp sashimi were great too, and breakfast breads and egg dishes were delicious. The shower head, hair dryer, and iron were all ReFa—my daughter was thrilled. They really are nice. From check-in to check-out, all staff provided excellent service. Service in the restaurant was also attentive, making our time very comfortable overall. Thanks to you all, my daughter and I had a wonderful trip. Thank you! *One small concern: When we entered the Room there were empty cans and some trash left in the bin. It seemed like something had been missed during cleaning—and I also wondered why someone would throw cans into that bin.

The staff provided exceptionally attentive service, and I was able to relax in a clean room.

Although the building was old, it seemed to be kept very clean, and I had a comfortable stay. There weren’t many power outlets, but there was an extension cord in the Room, which was very thoughtful, so I had no inconvenience. There was also an air purifier. The staff were courteous, and I was very satisfied. I would like to stay again.

This was my second stay after visiting for the first time last year. Some of this may repeat what I said before, but… It’s a wonderful Hotel. I’ve stayed at all the Shigira Resort properties, and this one is just as good as Shigira’s three flagship Hotels. The room rates are reasonable, the interior is spotless, and the design is stylish and luxurious! The background music—featuring Begin and others—creates an amazing Okinawan atmosphere. The hospitality toward guests is outstanding. All staff were pleasant, and the housekeeping team also greeted us warmly, which made us smile too. The staff at the shop on the first floor were also friendly; they had a great selection of items and stayed open late at night, which was very helpful. It was busy at night as well. We plan to stay at Mirage in summer. And next year, we definitely want to visit Please Bay Marina again. My wife also said that from a woman’s perspective it feels luxurious and beautiful, and she was very satisfied. The breakfast buffet is delicious too.

I stayed here for a concert at Festival Hall. Since it was practically next door, I could go back and forth several times for merchandise sales and the show itself. Even after the concert ended, I was able to relax and fall asleep while enjoying the afterglow.

The view of Sakurajima floating on Kinko Bay right in front is absolutely stunning, and the Room was clean and very comfortable.

I stayed here for a reunion with old friends. The baths (including the open-air bath) were excellent, and the theater performance was wonderful. Above all, it was great to relax and take our time reminiscing about the past. Everything was thoroughly cleaned, so we had a very comfortable stay. I’d love to visit again and again. I’m already looking forward to the next performance.

The Onsen was spacious and relaxing, and the wide variety of meals tempted us to eat more than we should. The building is old, but well maintained, and we felt truly refreshed by the warm, smiling service and thoughtful hospitality. With baby-friendly bathing facilities and dining options, we felt at ease and would like to visit next time with three generations of our family.

The price was affordable, and the stay was comfortable.

Last week, I stayed at this Ryokan with a friend and had a wonderful night. The Onsen is excellent, and our Room was equipped with Onsen water and a wooden bathtub, which made for a very relaxing experience. I also truly appreciated how quickly the staff called me when I left something behind, allowing me to retrieve it safely. Please note that the bus service in front of the Ryokan stops running at 3:00 PM.

This was my first time staying here. I left my luggage in the morning and informed the staff that I would be checking in late, and they kindly delivered my luggage to the Room, which was very helpful. They also answered my question about towel exchange clearly, which I appreciated. The Room was clean, the bed was spacious, and I could relax comfortably. The table and chairs were sturdy and easy to use. I would love to stay here again!
