Although it’s a secluded Accommodation deep in the mountains, it’s relatively easy to access by car and not difficult to reach. The Accommodation features classic, traditional Japanese architecture, yet it feels clean and has been thoughtfully renovated for comfort and ease of use. It was clear how much care goes into its upkeep, which I truly admire. The surrounding nature is lush, and the greenery and gentle sound of the river are very soothing. That said, the bedding mattress felt a bit firm for me personally, which was a small minus point (I didn’t wake up sore the next morning, so this is purely my personal impression). The hot spring source is around 37°C and lukewarm, but there are also heated baths, so it wasn’t an issue. If I had one wish: since I’m not fond of lukewarm water, I would have liked the heated tub to be larger. Meals were mainly simple countryside dishes, but everything was very delicious. Younger guests might find it a little light; in that case, I recommend ordering additional dishes. For us it was just the right amount—and we could get refills of rice—so we were very satisfied. Many of the staff were young, but they were always smiling and pleasant, with excellent attentiveness and consideration. This is an outstanding Accommodation that makes Japanese guests feel at ease—I hope it never changes. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed here as a couple for our wedding anniversary. It seemed we had the place to ourselves by chance, so we were able to truly relax. Every dish was carefully prepared, and everything was a flavor we had never tried before—absolutely delicious. The owners were also very kind, and we had a wonderful time. We would love to come back and stay again at a leisurely pace.

I stayed with my daughter at this accommodation. I chose it after reading reviews about its delicious cuisine, and it exceeded my expectations. The steamed abalone and simmered golden eye snapper recommended by the hostess, as well as the sashimi and other dishes, were truly delicious and visually stunning. There are three baths available for private use, allowing us to relax at our own pace. I would definitely love to visit again!

We stopped by during a drive trip to Mt. Aso. We traveled with our 1-year-old child, and we really appreciated the thoughtful consideration for meals. The food was delicious, and the open-air bath was excellent. We would love to visit again if we have the opportunity.

This was our second stay, and it was truly a wonderful Hotel, just as impressive as the first time. The staff were all very kind, and we were very satisfied with the service at the pool, including bath towels and water! Our 3-year-old also really liked how clean the Room was. The candy we received when leaving was given to our child, but it turned out to be spicy—so we would have been happier if it had been a sweet candy instead.

This was my first time staying at Vischio, and choosing this property based on the Reviews was absolutely the right decision. It’s close to the station, the Room was clean, and the Onsen was spacious and spotless with everything I needed—perfect for relieving travel fatigue. Adding breakfast was also a great choice. There was a wide variety of dishes, and everything—from fruit to desserts—was very delicious. It’s not unnecessarily luxurious, but it’s modern, clean, and has everything you need, so it was a wonderful stay. I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Kyoto.

I stayed for two nights. Both the service and the Room were comfortable, and I was able to relax. The staff’s courteous service was especially impressive. The location is excellent, with an airport bus stop right in front of the Hotel, making access very convenient. From the Room, I enjoyed a beautiful view of Kumamoto Castle. With my support for the recovery in mind, I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Kumamoto.

A lot has happened recently, and my husband took the lead and worked hard through it all. Now that things have finally settled down, we chose to stay here so he—and our dogs—could relax and enjoy some carefree time together. My husband said he was happy to experience something out of the ordinary again after a long time! The food was delicious, and we were truly satisfied with everything, including the Hotel staff’s hospitality and their thoughtful care for our dogs. Our First Visit to Ubud no Mori All of the staff were incredibly kind and spoke to our dog so warmly. Thanks to them, we felt welcomed and comfortable from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious—we were more than satisfied!! We even got to enjoy the late-night soba, which made the evening even happier. Being able to relax and have such a wonderful time with our dog became a truly special memory for us. We would love to visit again! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

It had been a while since I last visited my favorite Unpuufu. No matter when I come, the delicious cuisine, comfortable Room, and the staff’s thoughtful, unobtrusive hospitality always make for a truly satisfying one-night, two-day trip. On the way home, my friend and I happily chatted on the train back to Tokyo about when we should visit again! Thank you for a delicious and enjoyable stay!

Thank you very much for your thoughtful hospitality. You even prepared matcha for us, and we enjoyed it very much. The Room and bathroom were clean, and we had a very comfortable stay. The view from the Room was wonderful—we were moved to be able to take in the sea, mountains, and sunrise all at once, accompanied by birdsong. The Onsen water quality was excellent, and our skin felt pleasantly moisturized even after bathing. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

This was a high-quality Accommodation where you could truly appreciate the chef’s excellent sense of taste in both the quality and quantity of the food. The bath was also wonderful and left a strong impression on me. I was particularly struck by a Nepalese female staff member who spoke Japanese well; she looked worried because a local bridge in her hometown had been washed away in a landslide disaster in Nepal.

This was my long-awaited trip to Huis Ten Bosch. I considered staying at one of the official Hotels inside the park, but chose this Hotel for its extensive Facilities, the large number of positive Reviews, and the reassurance of the Okura brand. Even before arriving at the main entrance by car, I was overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the building’s exterior. The stunning stepped atrium from the 1st to 3rd floors also set an exciting tone for a truly luxurious stay. The female bell staff member was exceptionally polite and kind, saying, “We’ll take your luggage up via a separate elevator, so please go ahead to your Room.” When I entered, there was an adorable teddy bear on the table by the window. The message card read, “Happy Birthday,” and since it was my birthday month, it was such a delightful surprise! She also wished me a happy birthday in person, which really moved me. From my Room we could see not only Huis Ten Bosch but also views out to open water—an amazing panorama. It was during the Obon holiday period so there must have been many guests staying, yet thanks to how spacious the Hotel is overall, it never felt crowded. Above all else, every staff member’s attentive service stood out. I’ve stayed at many Hotels and usually find something to complain about somewhere—but this time there wasn’t a single issue, and I enjoyed every moment in complete comfort. While this is clearly a Hotel designed with visits to Huis Ten Bosch in mind, once you cross the bridge there’s also a JR station (remarkably close to the waterfront), so on day two we took the train and went as far as Sasebo. It’s also very useful as a base for sightseeing in Nagasaki City or Sasebo. The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety with plenty of both Japanese and Western options—I ended up eating far too much. This was my first time visiting Nagasaki and Huis Ten Bosch, and it became an unforgettable trip full of wonderful memories. Next time I’d love to stay longer—this truly is an outstanding Hotel. I chose Juhachiro because I had always wanted to see the traditional cormorant fishing, and they offer a boarding Plan. After working up a sweat on a walk around Kawaramachi, I refreshed in the large public bath, then had dinner from 5:30 pm. We gathered in the lobby at 7:15 pm and were guided to the viewing boat. The pier was just outside via the Accommodation’s private passageway, and it was incredibly convenient to board casually in the Accommodation’s yukata and slippers. After the cormorant fishing ended a little after 8:30 pm and we returned to the Accommodation, I enjoyed another soak in the large public bath—making it an unforgettable day. I truly felt this was a luxurious cormorant-fishing Plan that only an established Accommodation with over 160 years of history could arrange. The Room was generously sized, with two semi-double beds and a large dining table, and above all, the view of the Nagara River flowing directly below was beyond my expectations. Dinner was served in a private room: local dishes full of flavor such as Hida beef hot pot, salt-grilled ayu sweetfish, and simmered eel. Breakfast also offered an impressive variety—almost like a lunch buffet—and I was completely satisfied. Also, towels are stocked in the large public bath so you can use it anytime without hassle, and at the lobby lounge you can enjoy drinks and ice pops until 9:00 pm—such generous hospitality made me very happy (the Nagara River Onsen original-blend iced tea was delicious like nothing I’d tried before). Inside the building were displays such as shikishi boards from title matches for shogi masters, sealed-move papers, panels on cormorant fishing, and historical timelines; exploring inside was enjoyable as well. This time my purpose was cormorant fishing, but once renovations to Gifu Castle’s main keep are complete, this is an Accommodation I’d love to visit again for that reason too.

We used this Hotel for a motorcycle touring trip. Before our stay, we contacted the Hotel and asked, “Do you have parking for five motorcycles?” The staff kindly told us they would prepare a place to park. When we arrived, they had properly secured a parking area for us, and we were especially impressed that it was covered. Since motorcycles can be affected by rain, having a covered space is ideal. In the evening, they also let us use part of the restaurant for about an hour to discuss the next day’s route, which we truly appreciated. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes and was delicious. We would definitely like to stay again when we visit that area next time. Thank you very much—we are truly grateful.

I stayed here while reuniting with an old friend. As soon as I entered the Room, fireworks at Marine Stadium went off, making it feel like a warm welcome. The check-in and guidance were very courteous, and breakfast the next morning was truly delicious. My friend who traveled from far away was also very happy. I will stay here again. We stayed here hoping to relax as a family of four with our two adult children. From the warm welcome in the parking lot to the welcome drink and escort to our Room, we were treated with outstanding hospitality. Every detail—from the entrance hall and corridors to the Room interior—showed great care and exceeded what we had seen on the website in advance. The large public bath is not huge, but since the number of guests is limited, it was more than sufficient. We also enjoyed being able to soak in Onsen anytime in the bath in our Room, which was wonderful for our family. The meals reflected the chef’s dedication (he is from Shiga Prefecture), and every dish was a delight for both the eyes and the palate. We also appreciated having time to unwind as a family in the lounge with drinks, making this a trip that left all of us completely satisfied. What we recommend most about this Accommodation is that every staff member provides genuinely pleasant service. In addition to taking care of what we needed, they entertained us with friendly, witty conversation. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again and again as a couple or with family. Due to a change of plans, I made a Reservation the day before. It was a rainy day and I arrived early, but I was able to choose a book from the many available and enjoy reading at a relaxed pace with a cup of coffee in hand. The spacious bath, especially the bubble bath, was very soothing. The meals were so plentiful that I couldn’t finish everything. The sunrise the next morning was beautiful. There were also goats and rabbits, and if it were closer, it’s a place where I’d love to bring my dog for a Multiple Night Stay.

A girls’ trip to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We planned to relax at the Hotel, and it was even more soothing than we expected. Check-out was at 11:00, so we could take our time in the morning while gazing at the ocean. The view was truly amazing, and the ocean scenery from our Room, the open-air observation bath, and throughout the Hotel was incredibly calming. Listening to the sound of the waves, we were able to enjoy a slow and luxurious time. Every meal was delicious, and we enjoyed dishes that made great use of local ingredients. Everything looked beautiful as well, and you could tell each item was carefully prepared. We would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much.

The welcome herbal water drink was delicious—absolutely amazing!! This is truly a tropical paradise, a Resort Hotel. The view from the ocean-view Room was breathtaking—it really felt like “time, please stop!” As we left the Hotel from the parking lot, a handsome front desk staff member waved goodbye, which left a wonderful impression. It was an excellent Hotel that made us want to come back.
