I’ve visited Kurashiki for sightseeing about three times, but this was my first stay at Royal Park. It’s close to Kurashiki Station, and the area around the station has Tenmaya Department Store, other shopping malls, and an outlet park, so you can buy souvenirs and enjoy plenty of restaurants for both lunch and dinner. Also, Shirakabe Street, the Bikan Historical Quarter, and the Ohara Museum of Art are all nearby, so I was able to take my time exploring on foot. The Hotel breakfast offers a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes and was very delicious. This is a great-value Hotel. There are still many places in Kurashiki I haven’t visited yet, so I plan to avoid the hot summer season and stay here again.

Since I always end up going to Hokkaido, this was my first stay in Akita. I chose this Hotel because it’s close to the station for riding the Gono Line. Unfortunately, heavy rain caused the Gono Line to be suspended that day, but I’m truly glad I stayed here. All the staff were pleasant and attentive, with just the right sense of distance. The lounge had a very relaxing atmosphere, and both tea time and cocktail time were extremely satisfying. There were about 10 kinds of Akita local sake, and they mentioned that their recommendations keep increasing over time. They also offered shochu, draft beer, bottled beer, sparkling wine, wine, and more. Just as other Reviews said before my trip, everything was delicious—marinated fresh fish, chilled pork shabu-shabu, iburigakko with cheese, warm chicken dishes and fish dishes. A lady next to me said she has stayed here many times. It’s close to the station and you can get there without getting wet in the rain. I arrived at 1:00 p.m. planning only to leave my luggage, but they told me my Room was ready so I could check in early. After strolling around Kubota Castle Ruins and the park right in front of the Hotel, I went back to the station and bought a cute Akita dog T-shirt and tote bag for my grandchild. Breakfast also featured a lineup full of Akita specialties—kiritanpo and onigiri where you can choose both rice type and fillings—so it had been a while since I felt completely full from breakfast. There were still items I didn’t get to try yet, so I’ll be back again—and next time I’ll ride the Gono Line.

We stayed here to celebrate a birthday trip. They delivered an externally ordered cake from their partner Kazeka to our Room exactly as requested, and everything—the Room, the open-air bath, the meals, and the hospitality of the staff—was truly wonderful. It was a very satisfying stay, and we would love to visit again if we have the chance. Thank you very much.

We stayed at Sanraku to celebrate my husband’s and my 70th birthday anniversary as a couple. First, we were comforted by the attendants’ lovely smiles. At mealtime, we were deeply moved to find a wonderful hand-drawn plate by the manager displayed on our table. We also heard that the menu card was hand-drawn by the manager as well. They even prepared a purple celebratory vest for our 70th birthday celebration and took commemorative photos for us. In the bath area, we were surprised by the wide variety of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available. In the changing room, there was also an assortment of high-end skincare products, which my daughter was able to use. It was a truly attentive Hotel in every way. My daughter and I are already talking about staying at Sanraku again. Thank you very much.

After our wedding, my wife and I stayed here with friends. We used the connecting Room, and it was perfect—you can either separate the Rooms properly or connect them as needed. As for the Facility, we used all of the lounges throughout the property, and it’s no exaggeration to say it’s ideal for visiting with friends. Every lounge had drinks, plenty of space to chat, and areas to have fun—we had a great time.

I have stayed here every summer for nearly 10 years, and it is truly a wonderful Hotel. Each time I visit, my satisfaction increases. Everywhere in the Hotel is beautiful and spotless, the hospitality is exceptional, and every dish is a delightful surprise. I would like to stay here in other seasons as well.

From the moment I walked in, a staff member greeted me. I used to avoid business hotels because they often lack cleanliness and good service, but here every staff member made a great impression—from their greetings to the way they responded. Even if guests aren’t making eye contact, you can still hear that they always make sure to speak to you. I used to work in customer service myself, so I tend to notice these things, and this is a hotel that made me want to stay again. It’s two stops away from Kyoto Station, but instead of searching for coin lockers at Kyoto Station or renting one, I thought it would be better to leave my luggage here. When I asked, they kindly took care of it without hesitation. This was a hotel where I could genuinely say “thank you for taking care of me” at the end. The bathroom and changing area were also clean. I think I’ll be staying here again on future business trips.

Wanting to visit and see for myself the places where the gods are said to dwell, centered around Izumo Taisha, I made a Reservation at this Accommodation within walking distance of the shrine. It was about a 10-minute leisurely walk to Izumo Taisha, and along the way there were notable spots such as spring water used in Shinto rituals—an excellent location. Also, since the Room had an open-air bath, I could relax in the Onsen whenever I liked. The Room also had a calm Japanese-style atmosphere that helped me truly unwind. There was also a coffee set: grinding the beans myself with a mill, slowly pouring hot water, enjoying the aroma, and savoring each cup was something special. The meals were delicious as well—both dinner and breakfast. It was a one-night, two-day trip, but because this Accommodation was so wonderful, it felt as satisfying as staying two nights. I would definitely like to stay again if I have the chance.

A Hotel I’ve stayed at many times. The rates are affordable, and the service exceeds expectations. I’ll definitely be back again. Thank you always.

We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. Room, amenities… The Room was wonderful. We were impressed by the futon and the sofa as well—I wish I could have them at home… The amenities were sufficient, but I’d be even happier if they were a bit more upscale. Hospitality, service… Everyone provided very pleasant service. They were also very considerate toward my husband, which made it a memorable celebration. Onsen, baths… It was a great Onsen; I soaked four times. The view from the open-air bath on the upper floor was truly soothing. This time, since the bath in our Room was not an Onsen bath, we didn’t use it. When it rains, I might hesitate a little to use the open-air bath at the large public bath (maybe it’s just me?). Meals… Everything was delicious. The portions were just right. Overall, we were very satisfied. Staying at Takinoya allowed us to spend a wonderful time celebrating his 60th birthday. Next time, I’d like to choose a type of Room with an Onsen bath… But if so, I’d want to stay two nights (lol). I’d love to visit again in a different season. Highly recommended as an adults-only Onsen Accommodation! Thank you very much for everything this time.

As soon as we parked, a staff member came over and guided us smoothly to the front desk. The guidance to our room and the explanation of the facilities were also clear and easy to understand. The room was spacious and spotless, and we were very satisfied with the private open-air bath. Both dinner and breakfast were incredibly luxurious, with so much food it was hard to finish, but the gentle seasoning made everything easy to enjoy. When we left, all the staff at the front desk came out to see us off. I loved the food, the room, and especially the staff. I’d love to stay again.

I chose Haiya as my Accommodation in Awara Onsen for the first time in a year. I still remembered the layout and traditional furnishings of my previous Room (Iwashimizu), so I decided to stay here again. This time, my Room was “Choyo,” and I also loved its classic, traditional atmosphere. Best of all, the Room had an open-air bath, so I could relax and soak at my own pace and enjoy a different feel from the large public bath. As before, the meals featured plenty of locally sourced ingredients, including Wakasa beef, which I was able to savor fully. The many dishes served in tableware that evoked an autumn ambiance also showed the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail. I really like Haiya’s calm, high-quality atmosphere, and I plan to stay here again when I visit Awara Onsen next time.

My husband wasn’t feeling well at check-in, and you responded promptly, which was very helpful. Everyone greeted us warmly, and the staff were very pleasant. The Hotel is close to the station, and there is also a supermarket in the same building as the Hotel, which was very convenient. We stayed with our 1-year-and-10-month-old child and had no particular issues; we were able to spend our time comfortably. Thank you very much.

This stay was highly satisfying from start to finish. The Room was spacious, and I was able to relax in a calm atmosphere. Dinner offered an even wider variety than I expected; each dish tasted wonderful, the portions were generous, and I was completely satisfied. Breakfast also featured a great selection of small dishes, and I really liked the style of choosing freely from what I preferred—it made for a very fulfilling meal to start the day. The Onsen water was especially memorable, with a gentle softness that seemed to blend into the body. Not only did it ease my shoulder pain, but I could also feel my skin becoming smooth. In addition, the attentive and heartfelt hospitality unique to a long-established Ryokan further enhanced the quality of the stay. From check-in to check-out, all staff members were considerate and attentive, allowing me to feel comfortable throughout. Overall, this was an excellent Ryokan where everything—cuisine, Onsen, Room comfort, and service—was of a high standard. It is an Accommodation I would definitely like to visit again.

We stayed with 10 family members across three generations to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday. At check-in, we were given a number ticket and had to wait a bit, perhaps because there weren’t enough staff. However, drinks were free-flowing, and the lobby was lovely, so we didn’t mind waiting. We stayed in the renovated main building. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was one mishap—the bathroom door wouldn’t close—but staff came right away and fixed it so it would close (though it still made some noise). We booked a kaiseki dinner plan and went to the dining venue, but we couldn’t find the reception desk and there were no staff around, so we sat at the table number written on paper. Even after waiting for a while, no one came. When we spoke to a trainee staff member, they came to take our drink order. After that, an experienced staff member in charge of our table came over. Since I had noted in our reservation that this was for my father’s 70th birthday celebration, they brought a red celebratory vest (chanchanko). On top of that, they surprised us with an extra celebratory dish “from the kitchen” and even a gift from the hotel—my father was truly delighted. As expected from Hyakumangoku Hotel. We chose this hotel because we stayed here as a family about 25 years ago and remembered it well—my father said he wanted to stay here again. After the renovation made everything even nicer, being able to return together with more grandchildren than before felt very special. It became a wonderful trip to remember. Thank you very much!

We stayed for one night during Silver Week. We traveled from Kansai to Okayama and Kurashiki, and this was our Accommodation for the trip. The location was very convenient for sightseeing in Kurashiki, just a short walk from the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter. We arrived earlier than check-in time, but by paying an additional fee we were able to park our car, which was very helpful. We also saw quite a few cars looking for parking, so we could start sightseeing right away without wasting time. They also stored our large luggage, allowing us to explore Kurashiki hands-free. We stayed in a triple room in the main building. The building itself is not new and the bathroom was a unit bath, but everything was kept very clean and we were able to relax comfortably. With triple rooms, one bed is often a narrow extra bed, but here all three beds were spacious enough to sleep comfortably. We had dinner at the Hotel restaurant and ordered the steak course. It was very delicious. Since the number of dishes was modest, it might feel a bit light for young men or those who want to eat a lot. I think offering additional à la carte options could make it more satisfying for those guests. Breakfast was served buffet-style at the Hotel. There were many Japanese and Western options, and everything tasted great. I had seen in other Reviews that the curry is delicious; when I mentioned that, my husband and son went back for seconds and enjoyed it. For me, the pork miso soup made with Bizen miso was excellent—the aroma of the miso really stood out, and it made me want to try Bizen miso at home as well. The front desk staff and restaurant staff were kind overall and provided pleasant service, making this a truly enjoyable family trip. Thank you very much.

Starting with the welcome drink, the indoor Onsen bath and open-air bath were clean and wonderful. Dinner and breakfast were so plentiful we couldn’t finish everything. The soft-serve ice cream service, morning pancakes, and drip coffee were excellent. The nail corner and massages were also very popular with the women in our group. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

I stayed for one night and two days to recharge with my child. On this trip, the highlights were the abundant nature, delicious meals, and high-quality souvenirs. From our room, we could enjoy views of the Tama River and the forests of Okutama. We also fully immersed ourselves in nature at Kamanofuchi Park, located just below the hotel. At night, the sound of the river felt like soothing white noise, and we slept very peacefully. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. We usually choose buffet-style dining, but this time it was refreshing to enjoy a course-style meal where each dish could be savored. The carefully selected menu delighted my child as well. One small point: the Wi-Fi was a bit unstable—perhaps due to the hotel’s nature-rich location. Aside from that, our stay was very comfortable. Surrounded by nature and enjoying wonderful food, we were able to spend a relaxing and special time together as parent and child. I would love to stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Very conveniently located for sightseeing. Kenrokuen Garden, Omicho Market, the Samurai District, Kanazawa Castle, and the Higashi Chaya District are all nearby, making it easy to explore efficiently. The staff were kind, and the large public bath helped relieve my fatigue. Breakfast was delicious, and I also enjoyed the local specialties.

Both the building and the garden are beautifully maintained—truly an Accommodation worthy of its status as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property. At Tenpyo-no-Yu, we were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen while watching the carp. The cuisine may be creative, but in a way it felt fairly ordinary; despite the excellent wasabi served alongside, I didn’t feel the menu was designed to pair well with it. Perhaps because it had to be carried a long distance, some hot dishes arrived cooled, and there were so many items that we ended up leaving some, which was a bit disappointing. I thought it might be nice to have an upgraded course with smaller portions. There are many stairs, so it may be challenging for guests with limited mobility.
