Conveniently located near Kanazawa Station, with a coin-operated parking lot behind the building and an even more affordable one just a short walk away, making access excellent. The Room was well equipped, featuring a stylish Japanese-modern interior, and it was spacious enough for a family of four. It also had a washing machine and even an air blower for drying laundry, which would be great for longer stays. The only thing we wished could be improved was cigarette smoke drifting in. We suspect guests from the izakaya downstairs were smoking outside, and due to ventilation it seemed to enter the Room.

However, when I entered the Room and went to the bathroom to wash my hands, there was hair... Other than that, I had a comfortable stay. It would have been even better if there had been something showing the TV program guide and available channels... When I visit Kanazawa again, I’ll choose Kenrokuso if I can book it. Thank you very much.

A simple building with a slightly spacious room, including a private bath and toilet. Basic but well cleaned. For a solo male traveler who just wants to take a bath and get some sleep, it’s more than sufficient.

I stayed in a second-floor Room at Yamashita Ryokan Annex for three nights starting June 17, but I was surprised to find ants in the toilet on the third night. As a guest, I have serious concerns about the Ryokan’s hygiene management. Please ensure this does not happen again in the future.

We were a bit anxious because it was our first time renting an entire traditional-style house and we weren’t sure how the system worked, but after registering on LINE, they kindly answered even our small questions in detail, so we could stay with peace of mind. We stayed as a group of 10 across four generations (including an elderly wheelchair user, a 1-year-old child, and a dog). We enjoyed the large garden with the water pool we borrowed, brought our own ingredients for a BBQ, had fireworks at night, and cooked rice in the rice cooker for breakfast in the morning. The kitchen had most items we needed, so there were no issues (we brought our own seasonings). The place was thoroughly cleaned and very tidy. Our whole family had a great time. Thank you very much. If I had to mention anything: It would have been helpful to have handrails at the entrance and in the toilet for elderly guests. We were able to park, but it was still difficult with a HiAce van. An earlier check-in time would be appreciated. We’d love to stay again.

It was a very stylish Accommodation. We initially had trouble unlocking the door, but they handled it politely and promptly. Overall, it was a spacious and comfortable Accommodation, and we were very satisfied with our stay. This is a minor point, but since the place prioritizes style, I’d recommend it to those who value that—however, I felt some functionality may have been sacrificed, so I’ll note a few things for anyone who might care: - The bedroom lighting cannot be dimmed. It looked like it could be done with the remote, but it didn’t work. - The bathroom is not very user-friendly: there’s nowhere to put items and no chair/stool. We also couldn’t figure out how to use the ceiling shower. - There aren’t enough towels provided for a Multiple Night Stay. We used a coin laundry every day along with other laundry, but some people may find this inconvenient. That said, these are small issues. We were able to relax as a family without worrying about others around us, and we had a fulfilling time using it as our base for sightseeing around Golden Week. Thank you very much.

Since there is only one closet in the Room, it is fine in summer, but it may be a bit inconvenient during seasons when you have more outerwear.

My son has just gotten his driver’s license and says he’ll take me to an Onsen area in Hokkaido. We set off from the Sapporo suburbs in an old kei car he recently bought, crossed Nakayama Pass, headed south along the coastline, and arrived in Hakodate. As I wondered what kind of Hotel it would be, we pulled up to a place with a distinctly Showa-era feel. He said he looked for a Hotel he could afford on his part-time wages. It’s not stylish by any stretch, but it carried that good old atmosphere I remember from about 40 years ago when my parents took me traveling. Come to think of it, lately I’ve only stayed at sleek, tidy foreign-owned Hotels—and even when I went to rest, I often couldn’t truly unwind. This place was wonderful in the best way: no need to put on airs. The moment you arrive you can just go “Ahh…” and flop onto the futon. The small public bath that claims “carefully selected free-flowing hot spring water” was rarely shared with other guests, and the water had a curious quality that made me want to soak forever. Even after returning to my Room, I stayed pleasantly warm for quite a while. Since we were in Hakodate, we wanted Hasesto’s yakitori bento—so it was great that it’s within walking distance for both dinner and a late-night bite. And that Hasesto is open 24 hours. There’s also a 7-Eleven even closer along the way, so there was no inconvenience at all. When we went out and when we came back, the front desk staff greeted us warmly and politely with smiles. It felt like remembering something I’d forgotten. The Room’s bath and toilet aren’t spacious, and the TV isn’t large either. But as my son and I sat together on the tatami floor talking about old times while watching baseball on that small TV, scenes from a trip 40 years ago—my father now much older than he was then—and little me suddenly came back as if revived. I can’t help hoping that one day my son will come here again with his own children. Before that happens, though, I’d like to bring my wife here soon.

I stayed here for the first time on May 5–6, 2026. I stayed in the 2nd-floor Room “Hana Chidori” (10-tatami Japanese-style room). The unit-bath toilet and bath were clean, and the bath was spacious. They also provide bathing tickets for Ryuzaki Onsen Chidori (about a 5-minute drive), so it’s a good deal to use them. Bath towels and towels are loaned free of charge, and you can take the towels home. Dinner started at 7:00 PM, so I checked in (4:00 PM), enjoyed the Onsen and relaxed before dinner. The food was very delicious. The homemade pudding for dessert is outstanding. Breakfast is available from 7:00 AM, and like dinner it’s tasty, filling, and satisfying. I would like to stay again if I have the chance. The building is a little away from the seaside and surrounded by private homes, so there is no ocean view. It’s a bit old, but the Room is kept clean; however, there were no clothes hooks/hangers, so I think it would be better if they were provided.

Stayed on the last day of Obon, 8/16. It was over 36°C in the lower areas that day, but thanks to the shade from the trees, it felt much cooler, and we were able to stay in the cottage without air conditioning. I was slightly worried due to reviews mentioning musty bedding, but there was no such issue, and we had a very comfortable stay. The next day, my daughter seemed to have lost her binoculars while playing mini-golf. When I inquired later, one of the staff members kindly searched around the mini-golf parking lot, benches, and course despite the heat. Although they couldn’t find it at that time, they later discovered it on another day at a further part of the course and contacted us by matching our memory with their accommodation records. My daughter cherished those binoculars for birdwatching and was thrilled when they were found. A big thank you to both the staff member who searched for them in such hot weather and those who eventually found them! Truly impressive service from PICA—your staff is top-notch! We will definitely visit again!

It is understandable to have a security camera outside the entrance, but having one inside the entrance feels unnecessary, especially since the washroom is adjacent to the entrance and guests might walk around in pajamas. The accommodation is next to a residential house, so it doesn't provide a resort-like atmosphere. It feels more like returning to your family home. It takes over 5 minutes to get to Nagashima Resort, but this is within an acceptable range. I appreciated that towels were set in the toilet and each person was provided with two face towels. It would be even better if there were pre-set towels in the kitchen as well.

We stayed here for a one-night trip to Beppu with a friend's family. The accommodation includes a dining table separate from the bedroom and a spacious kitchen, making it suitable for hosting bring-your-own parties, though we didn't do so this time. Beppu Station is nearby, so you can find almost anything within walking distance. There are two sinks in the bathroom, which is convenient for larger groups. The room uses a number key instead of traditional keys for unlocking. Check-in instructions are sent via email, which might be challenging for older guests who are not comfortable with technology. Due to Beppu's typically narrow roads, the parking lot requires a short walk from the accommodation, which can be slightly inconvenient when loading or unloading luggage. However, overall it’s highly recommended as an accommodation option! One suggestion would be to improve the parking area as it was overgrown with grass and made it difficult to see the lines clearly.

The staff were kind and helpful. Driving up the narrow mountain road in a rental car in the dark late at night was a bit unsettling. It’s better to arrive while it’s still light.

The location may be a bit inconvenient, but it’s quiet in a residential neighborhood and not crowded. The Room is compact, but the Accommodation is very comfortable, with an air purifier, disposable slippers, a separate bath and toilet, two bottles of water, nice pillows, and windows that open with screens for good ventilation. I also made another Reservation in advance when there was a discounted campaign rate. Thank you again—I look forward to staying here next time.

We stayed at the accommodation for a three-generation trip, as it was strongly requested by our grandchild. We didn't see any other Japanese guests during our stay. If we were more fluent in English, it would have been an even more enjoyable experience. We had breakfast at the attached café in the morning. Both the accommodation and café were stylishly designed and lovely places to be. The shower room was clean, though there was no bathtub. However, as Japanese people, especially seniors, we do miss soaking in a bath.

The location is convenient, making shopping easy. Although the parking lot is a bit far, you can pull up in front of the entrance to unload your luggage, so it wasn't inconvenient. The interior was clean and comfortable to stay in. One issue was the Wi-Fi—it was out of order, which caused some trouble. I would love to stay here again!

We stayed at this Accommodation, Sensui, for a 1-night, 2-day trip to Kinosaki Onsen to celebrate my wife’s birthday. From start to finish, the staff were wonderful. In particular, a veteran female staff member showed exceptional attentiveness and care during dinner; it was the kindest hospitality we have experienced in all our travels. We are truly grateful for the lasting memories. Kinosaki Onsen has a charming old-fashioned atmosphere, and we hope it continues to grow as an Onsen town. Next time we visit Kinosaki Onsen, we would like to stay at Sensui again.

Unable to make a reservation at a Business Hotel near Funabashi, I tried a private lodging. It was kept very clean and I was satisfied. The breakfast was also delicious.
