Aoki Ryokan

I stayed here on a trip to Hiraizumi. As other Reviews mention, it was a well-maintained Ryokan. The Room, bath, and toilet were all clean, and even the slippers used inside the building had been disinfected.Breakfast had a wide variety of dishes and was delicious. There was also Yakult and complimentary after-meal coffee service, which I appreciated. It would be even better if there were a women’s restroom on the second floor as well.

This Ryokan was very satisfying, with a spacious, neat and well-organized Room and warmly welcoming service. However, while I didn’t mind not having a bath in the Room, I again felt that I would prefer to have a toilet in the Room. It was inconvenient to have to go out into the hallway, lock the Room, and go to the toilet. (This is not the Ryokan’s fault—it's my responsibility for choosing this Room.) The bath was also clean, and it was great to be able to relax and soak on my own. At this price, I’m seriously considering staying again.
