With Dogs Hotel Forest Hills Nasu

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. On the second day, our beloved dog suddenly passed away. As a senior dog, we had prepared for the possibility, but it happened so unexpectedly that we had not brought items such as ice packs for bringing him home. The Hotel kindly provided a basket to lay him to rest in, towels, ice packs, and a blanket.We had reserved dinner at the restaurant as well, but thanks to the staff’s thoughtful consideration, they arranged a private room for us. Because there was a thunderstorm, they also drove us to the dining venue by car, allowing us to enjoy one last meal slowly with him by our side.We are truly sorry for any trouble we caused during the busy summer holiday season. Thanks to your support, we were able to return home safely and send him off peacefully.This year’s extreme heat was especially hard on senior dogs, but we are very grateful that he was able to spend his final moments in the cool Nasu Highlands—enjoying his favorite dog run, Onsen time, and delicious meals.This was our first stay here, and I feel it is rare to find a Hotel that can respond so quickly and compassionately in an emergency. We still have two other dogs at home and would love to visit again. Of course, both the meals and the Facility were excellent as well.Thank you very much for all your help during our stay.

This was our second stay, following last year. Nasu is known for its cool climate, but this Hotel feels especially refreshing as it is surrounded by forest and seems to stay even cooler than other areas in Nasu, making it very comfortable. We stay for two nights each time and enjoy trying a different Room. There are various cottage-style Accommodations with different atmospheres, and every Room is spotless. Best of all, it’s truly dog-first—we can spend time together with our dog both in the restaurant and even on the bed in the Room, which we really appreciate. Many staff members have qualifications that allow them to support dogs (such as trainer-related credentials), and they are very kind to dogs, so we can relax with peace of mind. In particular, we had the rare experience here of having our dog ride a pony for the first time, and the staff took even more photos of our brave pup than we did—it was such fun. There are three types of dog runs where dogs can play to their heart’s content, while owners can also enjoy the open-air bath. We slept soundly at night, and the meals were delicious—an extremely satisfying Hotel overall.
