Iwataki Onsen Hotel Kirakuya

I visited during Golden Week with two dogs.The Room was a Japanese-style room, but it was spacious and the dogs could run around. There is also a park nearby, and the Hotel is right in front of the quiet inner side of Amanohashidate, so it was great for peaceful walks.The meals were Japanese cuisine, and there was more than enough—we were completely full.There is also an open-air bath, and it was quiet and relaxing. It’s conveniently located close to both Ine’s Funaya boat houses and Amanohashidate, making them easy to visit.

We traveled from Tokyo through the snow with our dog. We left home at 10 a.m. in our own car. Unexpectedly, heavy snow started falling along the way, and we arrived at the accommodation past our expected time, at 10 p.m. Despite causing inconvenience to the staff, they kindly arranged for us to have dinner and use the bath late at night, for which we are still very grateful. We enjoyed delicious crab dishes and stayed for two nights before returning to Tokyo. The natural flowing onsen was wonderful, with no trace of dog odor, allowing us to spend a comfortable stay. We are planning a family trip in April and look forward to staying again then!
