Even at a low price, the Room is spacious and includes breakfast. Nice.\nIt’s a bit far from the downtown area, but since we had a rental car, I think it’s good that parking is available.

I stayed here last year and was satisfied, so I chose it again this year. Breakfast is a buffet with a well-balanced selection of Japanese and Western dishes. The yushi tofu, daily chanpuru, and curry are also delicious. It’s about a 30-minute walk from Ishigaki Port, which is a bit far, but there is also a shuttle bus (about 5 minutes) to/from Ishigaki The First near the port, so it didn’t feel inconvenient. In fact, because it’s away from the downtown area, nights are quiet; you can see the ocean from the window; and there’s a 24-hour supermarket right nearby, which is convenient for shopping or picking up small souvenirs. This year I was initially assigned a Room on the 2nd floor. While I thought it would be convenient since it’s on the same floor as the large public bath, I was bothered by motor noise coming from outside the Room at night and could barely sleep on the first night. I spoke with the front desk the next day, and since there happened to be an available Room they changed my Room; after that I wasn’t bothered by motor noise and had a comfortable stay. While their smooth response was appreciated, when I tried to explain about the noise I felt they seemed reluctant to discuss or look into it further, which was slightly disappointing. On another day I saw another guest making a similar complaint even on the 3rd floor, so my impression is that some Rooms on lower floors may require caution depending on location.
