Washington R&B Hotel Nagoya Shinkansen-guchi

I made a Reservation because it was close to both my destination and the station. The price was low, and I was also drawn by the name “Washington.” Even though I booked the lowest-rate No Meals Included plan just to sleep, the Room was clean, I had a great view from the top floor, and I could enjoy a welcome drink—everything was excellent. I’d like to stay again.

The Hotel itself was clean, and both the staff who assisted me and the housekeeping team were very good.Although it was my own mistake, I confused it with another affiliated Hotel in a different location and ended up walking a lot.With construction underway for the Linear Shinkansen, Nagoya is already a difficult city to navigate—Kintetsu, Meitetsu, JR, and buses are not easy to figure out—so I would like clearer station guidance from the Hotel industry.I think many people make the same mistake.Even simply projecting directional arrows would reduce boarding the wrong train or using the wrong entrance, and could contribute to Nagoya’s future development.At Akihabara Station, guidance arrows are displayed on the floor, which feels safer.This isn’t directly related to the Hotel, but as I’ve had more opportunities to visit Nagoya in recent years, its difficulty of use makes me less inclined to go. I hope Nagoya can adopt better solutions before things become even more confusing when the Linear line opens.
