Hotel The View Setouchi

I fell asleep in bed while enjoying the night view, and woke up to the calls of several kinds of wild birds—an unforgettable stay.The spacious Room and well-stocked amenities were wonderful. The highlight for me was the French dinner.I was extremely satisfied to have been able to stay at this price, and I would definitely like to come again.

I’d been interested in this place for a long time but couldn’t make it, and finally got to visit this time. Since we have two Shiba Inu dogs, we stayed in a first-floor Corner Twin with a private garden. It was summer and I was worried about whether the dogs would be okay, but after check-in the garden was nicely shaded, and since it’s up on a mountain it was a bit cooler, so they were able to relax in the garden. The Room itself felt a little small. The bathroom and wash area were very spacious, so I wished that space could have been used to make the Room larger. The Room had a refrigerator, but it was broken; however, the Hotel staff replaced it with a new one right away, which was great—very quick response. For dinner we had the sukiyaki set meal in our Room. Some Reviews said the portions were small, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but there was plenty of food—even for big eaters like us—and we were full. That said, it was disappointing that there was only one slice of beef for the sukiyaki. Breakfast was Western-style, but for some reason it came with an Onsen egg with bread. It worked fine, but I thought a boiled egg would have been better. Breakfast portions also felt a bit small… Overall, it was good. It’s very quiet at night with beautiful views of the city lights, and the food is delicious. The staff were polite and helpful as well. For guests traveling with dogs, there are places nearby for walks too, which is nice. They also have dog amenities reasonably well stocked. I’d like to stay again.
