Okayama Square Hotel

I was scheduled to check in at 22:00 and arrived 30 minutes late, but the staff handled it very kindly.I don’t usually stay at a Hotel so I’m not sure what’s typical, but at check-in I just told the front desk my name and signed, and they gave me a key card. Check-out was also very easy—I simply returned the card to the front desk.The Room I stayed in was the Premium Twin Room (Type B). At the time of my stay it was offered at a special trial price, so it was a great deal. The Room was spacious, and having separate bath and toilet made it very comfortable. There is also a washroom/changing area (amenities were provided there as well).It’s a little far from the station, but still within walking distance (about the same as taking a bus or streetcar). There’s a convenience store fairly nearby, which was very handy.

I stayed in a spacious double Room in the annex on a business trip. The Room felt open and comfortable, and with the bath and toilet separated, I was able to relax. That said, since it’s a separate bathroom, stronger shower water pressure would have made it even better. There was a small desk in the Room, which was fine for working on my laptop. However, for business use, I would have appreciated brighter lighting. Reasonably priced Hotels with large public baths tend to fill up quickly, so this is a solid option when you can’t get a Reservation at one of those popular Accommodations.
