Hanegawa Onsen Kadoya Ryokan

Thank you for having us for one night on Saturday. In short, as everyone says, the value for money is in a league of its own. The Facility is undeniably old and worn (so it may not suit those who are very particular about cleanliness), but the meals, baths, and service are all excellent. The food in particular felt very Yamagata—side dishes that go perfectly with rice. Considering the distance from Shinjo, the Shuttle Service also seems offered regardless of profitability. I imagine running this family business is incredibly demanding, yet they stay cheerful—it was genuinely moving. I want to support an Accommodation like this, though it’s a tricky balance since too many guests could lead to a decline in service quality. We also enjoyed our conversation during the Shuttle Service ride—it was very relaxing! My No. 1 Accommodation I hope will keep going strong.

I really appreciated that the Shuttle Service was available even for a solo guest. The Onsen quality is outstanding—I used it three times during my stay. For this price, the two meals included were both delicious and very filling. I recommend ordering an extra portion of horse sashimi at dinner.Since I used the Shuttle Service, I assume they knew I would be the last guest arriving that day, but it was disappointing that amenities were already out of stock at check-in and weren’t replenished until the next morning.
