Hotel Monzen no Yu

You can use the neighboring Onsen as many times as you like from check-in to check-out.The baths were open from 6:30 a.m., so I could also enjoy a morning bath!!The Room is small, but since it’s No Meals Included, it was more than enough!Even though it was inexpensive, towels and loungewear were included, which I really appreciated!

Stayed in the main building with No Meals Included. I arrived by ferry from Sado and checked in a little after 8:00 p.m. The Room was simple but clean. Honestly, the bath was pretty basic—at a level where you wonder if it can really be called a hot-spring Facility—but for me, being able to take a quick soak was enough, so no problem.What surprised me came after that. After my bath, I went next door to the dining area for some light snacks and draft beer, and the place called “Wasshoi” was incredible! Simple eggplant and cucumber snacks were unbelievably good. And what really blew me away was the 1,800 yen nodoguro sashimi—by far the best sashimi I had on this trip!! Even though I’d been all the way to Sado, it was shocking that the best sashimi was at a dining spot inside a hot-bath Facility in Naoetsu. Still in disbelief, I ordered another chilled sake—and then another draft beer too—ending up with an extremely satisfying dinner. Thank you for the wonderful meal! (Meal charges cannot be added to your Room bill. There are also lockers with keys, so bring your credit card with you when you go to the bath.)
